I’ve always been a fan of Fergie, aka The Duchess, Fergie-Ferg, Fergalicious, but it wasn’t until last night at the Black Eyed Peas' The E.N.D. concert in Newark, NJ, that my fandom turned into a full-blown girl-crush. Fergie hosted a special event before the show for her new fragrance, Outspoken by Avon, and demonstrated to everyone that she can be down-to-earth-cool and still have the impeccable taste of a true diva.
Just one hour before she hit the stage, Fergie made the rounds, introducing herself and (happily!) taking photos with partygoers — this is not normal celebrity behavior. As expected, the concert rocked, but I was particularly pleased to get a sneak peek at the solid perfume locket that will be debuting in Spring 2011 (it’s only available now in gift sets with the fragrance). Not only do I prefer solid perfumes because they’re travel-friendly and can be reapplied discreetly, but some, like this one, double as jewelry. While I like this pendant as is, I might swap out the silk cord with a thicker, shorter ribbon to switch up the look. Now, wouldn’t that be g-l-a-m-o-r-o-u-s?
