FIRST LADY OF FITNESS: Kathy Kaehler
WHERE YOU'VE SEEN HER: On NBC's Today Show (she's the fitness correspondent) or on the cover of either her newest book, Kathy Kaehler's Celebrity Workouts, or her DVD series, Kathy Kaehler Basics.
HOW SHE'S DIFFERENT FROM OTHER TRAINERS: As a mother of three young boys, Kaehler knows what it means to be short on time, so she creates simple fitness regimens that can be done anywhere, based on elementary school gym class activities such as jumping rope, sprinting, and shuffling from side to side. "These basic moves are often just as effective as today's most complex classes and gym equipment," she says.
TO LOOK LIKE A KAEHLER CLIENT:
*Schedule your workouts. "Otherwise, exercise will get swallowed up by your other responsibilities."
*Become an active person. "The key is to become active seven days a week, not just three days a week for 30 minutes. And the gym is not the only place to burn calories--you will achieve your ideal weight faster if you take the stairs rather than an elevator, return the grocery cart to the store instead of leaving it by the car, or squeeze in crunches or lunges while you're on the phone."
HAS WORKED WITH: Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Cindy Crawford, Michelle Pfeiffer.
