6 Green Juice Detox Recipes That Don't Taste Like Grass

Because sometimes (ahem post-holidays ahem) your body needs a reboot.

Ah, the holidays. Prime time for indulging in a few extra boozy cocktails and sugar-laden sweets. To counteract that bloated, nauseous week that comes after Christmas and right in time for us to squeeze into NYE dresses, we found six energizing (and surprisingly tasty) green juices. Besides, a few extra fruits and veggie never hurt anybody.

Field of Greens Plus


1/2 cup spinach

1 large cucumber

1 Granny Smith apple

2 stalks celery

3 sprigs parsley

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon fresh ginger


Combine all ingredients in juicer and enjoy.

The Crisp Lady


8 oz spinach (~5 big handfuls)

4 oz grapefruit juice (~1 ruby red grapefruit)

3 oz apple juice (2 Granny smith apples)

.5 oz mint


Push all ingredients through juicer. Add ice for extra crispness.

Green Goddess Juice


1 lemon

2 apples

1-inch ginger root

6 celery stalks

1 cucumber

2 large handfuls spinach


Place all ingredients through a juicer. Immediately pour into a glass and enjoy.

Sweet Green Veggie Juice


3 kale leaves, stems removed

4 romaine lettuce leaves

Small handful of spinach leaves

1/2 lemon

2 Fuji apples


Combine all ingredients in juicer and enjoy! Take it up a notch: add one peeled beet for a sweet, nutritious boost.

Kiwi Juice


8 kiwi fruits

3 green apples

1/2 cucumber

2 inches of fresh ginger

1 handful fresh mint leaves

4 ice cubes, for serving


Place all ingredients through a juicer. Serve immediately with lots of ice.
