Acai: The New Superfood

ACAI, a Brazilian berry now found in everything from smoothies to yogurt to cereal, is worth some of its buzz. It carries an antioxidant mother lode, a small amount of omega-3s (the brain/heart/mood helpers you get from fish), and fiber. Just watch what else you're getting with it: One acai-mango smoothie we found had 255 calories per serving; another drink had 22 grams of sugar that's more than you get in some cookies.
