Exotic superfruits may grab headlines, but research has linked frequent noshing of the humble apple crunchy, sweet, abundant to decreased risk of cancer, heart disease, asthma, and diabetes, thanks to the fruit's doses of fiber, potassium, vitamin C, and flavonoids. Add apples to a meal, and chances are, you won't leave hungry.
