TIRED?

Might be in your head. Scientists used to think that it was your muscles (when they were out of energy or surrounded by lactic acid) that told your brain your body was tired. But researchers at the University of Cape Town now believe that your mind thinks your body is tired long before your body does.

CAN YOU FAKE YOUR MIND INTO LETTING YOU WORK OUT FASTER OR LONGER?

Yes! Interval workouts may teach your body that it can do more than it thinks. And even knowing that you have reserves can help you work through fatigue and push yourself far past old limits.

How bad are your excuses?
