Some may call her the original feminist. But while she wasn't the first champion of women's rights, Gloria Steinem was one of the main leaders of the women's liberation movement in the late '60s and '70s. As a journalist: her work has been read in countless publications, most importantly the feminist magazine she co-founded, Ms., she had a way with words. Her truths are what modern day feminists still quote.
