Definitions of activity level:
Sedentary: little or no exercise
Lightly Active: light exercise or sports 1-3 days/week
Moderately Active: moderate exercise or sports 3-5 days/week
Very Active: hard exercise or sports 6-7 days/week
Extra Active: very hard daily exercise or sports & physical job or 2X day training
Increasing your activity level will boost your metabolic rate. To lose weight and burn body fat, eat 500 fewer calories per day than your body currently needs. Never eat fewer than 1,200 calories per day without talking with your doctor.
