When it comes to relationship issues, the list of ways things can go wrong is long and varied. However, here's a less common couples' dilemma: finding out you're related. That's exactly what happened to a young Irish couple who (understandably) wish to remain anonymous. According to The Daily Mail, the couple — we'll call them James and Maura — grew up in separate towns and met at a nightclub several years ago. It's a rather complicated story, but in a nutshell, after James reconnected with his estranged mother, they were able to piece together that unbeknownst to them, he and Maura were half-siblings. Obviously, they were extremely devastated. Er, also, did we mention they have a kid?
Currently, the couple plans on staying together; however, they're considering embarking on a landmark case to fight the Irish family law that kept their pasts shrouded in secrecy. While it sounds crazy, it's a confusing situation, to say the least. (Um, dating dealbreaker much, ahem?) What would you do? The Daily Mail via The Frisky
