Trump Says He Passed on Being Time Magazine's Person of the Year; Time Says No

Not one to let a holiday focused on family and gratitude get in the way of his own raging narcissism, Donald Trump let the world know Friday that Time magazine was practically begging him to return as its Person of the Year for an unprecedented second consecutive run, but due to his busy schedule of MAGA-ing and (quick) golf games with Tiger Woods, their offer just didn’t cut it.

In response, Time tweeted that the president is “incorrect."

Trump has an obsession with his Time covers, and this isn’t his first pathologically egomaniacal lie having to do with the magazine. He’s stated that he’s been its cover story on more occasions than anyone else (wrong), and has been known to hang photoshopped Trump Time covers in his golf clubs.

Between this and his hocking discounted Trump swag on Black Friday, the president really seems to have gotten confused about both the “thanks” and “giving” aspects of our most recent national holiday.
