On June 9, 2010, Birkenstock & Marie Claire invite New York City residents to skip the subway, turn down the taxi, and join us for our inaugural “Walk to Work Day” fundraising event supporting Soles4Souls – a charitable organization that donates shoes to people in need around the world. Since 2005, Soles4Souls has given away over 7 million pairs of shoes in 125 countries, but the need is greater than ever.

100% of the proceeds raised in conjunction with the event will be donated to Soles4Souls, and the first 200 participants to raise $500 will receive a complimentary pair of Birkenstock sandals to walk to work in on the event day.
