THURSDAY 9 a.m., office: Forgot my cell at home—argh! E-mail Steve, whom I've been seeing for two months now, and make plans to meet up. He's said he wants to be exclusive. I want to be in a relationship, but I'm not sure he's the guy.

6 p.m., home: Random text message from Orion, whom I started dating when Steve was away on business. I like Orion, but he's made it clear that he's not ready for a relationship. Considering that Steve is into the idea, I'm excited to see him tonight.

8 p.m., en route to date: A girlfriend calls, and we talk about men. I decide to date Steve exclusively.

9 p.m., street: Meet up with Steve. We have a long kiss, then go for tapas.

11p.m., Steve's apartment: Tipsy and happy. Have sex front/back/sideways. He's great in bed.

FRIDAY 8 a.m.: Morning sex!

SATURDAY 3 p.m., home: Call Steve to chat, but I'm annoyed by his abrupt manner.

7 p.m., home: Text Orion. Agree to a double date on Sunday, but I plan on telling him—if I get him alone—that I just want to be friends.

SUNDAY 12 p.m., Orion's neighborhood: We're about to head out, and he leans in for a kiss. I make it a hug.

4 p.m., park: After a great day of picnicking with friends, Orion and I are strolling through an art fair. He's so easy to talk to, I don't want the day to end. My feelings are a jumble. I hope I didn't pick the wrong guy.

8 p.m., subway: Orion and I travel uptown. As we're parting ways, he leans in again, and I give him a hug. I think he gets the picture.

MONDAY 10 a.m., home: Lying in bed next to Orion after the best sex of my life. Oops.

TUESDAY 6 p.m., Steve's apartment: Steve wants out. He found out that Orion and I were hanging out and asked me flat out if we had slept together. When I said nothing, he responded: "I'll take that as a yes." I hurt him and feel horrible. But I'm wondering how long I have to wait before I get to see Orion again.
