I'm Ying Chu, I'm the Beauty Director at Marie Claire. So, this is my first week. So, I've only been here one week, exactly 5 days, and everyone has been really great. Joanna is fantastic. She has great energy and everyone's been really receptive, so I'm excited to be here.
I'm very excited that Ying Chu joined the staff, because she has really a very different take, I think, on beauty, than any of the other compliance due to the job and it's really, she has a various sort of psychological approach. I think that-- You know, women are so savvy in terms of the products that they're using, and it's beyond now, just finding out what the ingredients to do, but how they affect them, and it's not just anesthetic thing that help beauty and be their whole emotional take on it is tied in together. Well, I think she brings a very journalistic inquiring mind. It's not just about the latest products for her. It's not just about how to apply your mascara. Of course, we'll have that in the pages, but it's going one lab behind that and really exploring what it is that makes women feel good about themselves.
Is there a spray as well?
For this particular project, no.
Nothing. Just thing.
It's no-- It's known as really spicy.
I think, Ying, is very realistic about trying to show looks that really work for real women who have to go out there, who have to earn a living, who were excited about their lives.
I think that beauty really means finding a comfort zone in yourself. I mean, I think that there is beauty to everyone, of course, and It's not only what's out there statically, but finding what you're comfortable with.
And we're all in this together. It should be fun, I told you.
One of the reasons that women look towards to magazines is definitely for that fantasy aspect. I mean, we love seeing those beautiful glossy pictures and those beautiful models, and it's just a matter of finding that balance of getting the fantasy in there, as well as getting the reality in there.

The biggest, sort of siesta or saying for fall 2007, is kind of a more powerful way of dressing. You know we've kinda seeing this sort of girlie feminine trend going on, for more than the last few seasons. You know, I think that people are backlashing against the baby doll. The dress has been so important for the past couple of years, so when we went to Paris and Milan and even in New York, the designers has started to introduce the pant as something new. What's wonderful is that there're so many different shapes of pants out there.
Stars flair-like pants, which are coming back in a huge way, like giant flairs. There's a skinny pant, there's the men's trouser, tons of men's wear in inspired looks, and then there's crop pants, so there's really a lot to look forward to anything that women-- We're very excited about that I think there's gonna be this great sense of vibrant color and accessories for fall, and great energy to them, great sculptural shapes. There's so many clutches out there. There is a sort of bold graphic elements, and tons of colored skin.
Bold textures, like patent and shine. A lot of bright colors, which are again unusual for fall. Normally, you're seeing blacks and browns, and something bright heavy, but there're tons of brights, so there's so many ways to really pick up your wardrobe this season. That's what so wonderful about fashion. It's always a surprise.
Liz and I had originally talked about going European, just in terms of hair, and which was sort of, you know, the original idea. But the, she's like "Why don't you just go European with everything? With everything in your beauty Regiment. Just stop all of your American OCD rituals and go European.

You look gorgeous. She's got the new bold cut. It's got a new waist band with the new Diesel logo. They relaunch the whole line last fall '06.
And they have all specialized program now. There's a new fabric, new fit, new packaging.
