Hi, everybody. I'm Dayna Spitz, Global Shopping Editor for marieclaire.com and welcome to Marrakech. Now it has been over 10 years since I was here and from what I remember the shopping is amazing, so I've been working on my list. I know I wanna get the antique Berber jewelries, some poufs, some kaftans, tunic, really a lot of things. There's over 2,000 stalls. We're gonna bargain deal. This should be interesting. We'll go over to Guéliz the new city and then the industrial zone. So we have a lot of areas to cover. I have a really long list so let's go get shopping. This is a secret stash. So many interesting things in here. This is insane. You can hurt somebody with this. I love this piece. How much?
So that's about 150 to 160 US dollars. This is all real and it's antique. Best price? So one of the things on my list is poufs. So you tell me how much each one is.
350, 700. 700.
Better price. I want to spend 400 dirham--
1,200 for 3.
No, no, no, no.
You give more substance.
I believe you. 400, 3.
Believe me it's very democratic.
450. 450. That's good.
Okay. No 450, no 6, 550.
This is a lot of work actually buying.
Continue smoking the pipe.
500 and that's it.
Hi there. I love all these bags. There's so many. It's overwhelming. That one, yes. And we'll come if I can see or feel. It looks and then the shape of it is still modern. Can you do 200?
Sold. 220. So I'm in a shop called Chez Bel Haj. Apparently, they have the best kaftans in Marrakesh. Oh this is very nice. Oh I love this. I could really eat a lot in here.
Oh you wanna melt in here. It's actually really nice. I love this one. Okay. Sold. Oh I'm so excited. My first kaftan and a Moroccan one. So on my list is Baboush slippers and this guy, his stall used to have the best ones out of the entire stall. And some snakeskin ones. These go right the bright trends of summer. I had my eye on this color. Like fuchsia suede. And they're simple but they're bright. I really need to know your best price.
I think I can get it down more. 150 for this one and 200. Okay. So that's pretty good. And me shall find. I love these. I'm so excited I'm gonna wear them. So I just came into a new shop and it's called 33 Rue Majorelle. So it's really the first concept shop in Marrakesh?
Yes, it's about the 66th store market.
Wow. Everything is so bright and cheerful. I love it. These are really fun. They have this cosmetic bag. They look like they're totally handmade.
I do need to use the shoes with darling.
Oh Darling, okay. Darling, darling, darling. Each one is totally unique. No two are the same. This is the branch called Amir which I've heard a lot about and I definitely wanna buy some. These are like coffee mug handles. Oh these ones I really, really love. I love the intense metal work so that's about 18 dollars? This is amazing. This is all hands on right now. I tend to get [unknown] I mean it's strictly taller than the other one and [unknown]. Well as you saw, I shopped my way through Marrakesh. I'm even wearing my new kaftan but I did switch the color of black. They were not giddy after all, but I can totally see why design enthusiasts, the fashion crowds are drawn to Marrakesh. Speaking of, I'm in Majorelle Gardens right now which is the former residence and workshop of the fabulous Yves Saint-Lauren. I thought it was a perfect place to end my shopping trip. Bye everybody.
