Hi, I'm [unknown] from Marie Claire Magazine. We're here today at the Louis Licari Salon in New York City to find out how to get great low maintenance summer highlights from the salon owner and celebrity colorist, Louis Licari. Hi Louis it's great to see you.
Hey Lizzie I'm so excited you're here. To create this work is that the work is going to weaved in strokes to follow to make your own hair color looks brighter, and your hair looks brighter, your face looks brighter, it lights up your face. The best thing about highlight is that you do not have to color your hair completely.
Should be careful about what types of shampoo and conditioners I use?
Hair that has been highlighted will have a tendency to change more. Conditioner is a must.
Is this something I could do to an extend at home?
You are going to ever buy any sort of that home hair coloring, whether it be highlighting or a single process, buy tube boxes. For some reason the amount of color they gave you is enough for about a half the head. The greatest thing about seeing a hair colorist is that they can see you with fresh eyes. The hardest person to look at is your self. When I look at you the first thing I see is the exact color you should be, where the highlight should be, how bright it should be, and its something that doesn't workout right, I can adjust it immediately.
I'm glad I'm in good hands.
I love it.
Thank you so much, I love the color, it's absolutely perfect. For more information on hair color and anything hair related, go to marieclaire.com and thank you again to everyone here at the Louis Licari salon in New York City.
