How to Make Eyes Pop Video
Celebrity makeup artist Mally Roncal shows how to open up your eyes without being too over-the-top with color.

Hi. I'm Ning Chao, Senior Beauty Editor at Marie Claire. And today, I'm going to interview celebrity makeup artist Mally Roncal. So, she's the creator of Mally Beauty Cosmetics but she also does the makeup for Beyonce, Josh Stone, Rashida Jones and lots of other stars.
This is a really great trick actually to wear color but not that it'd be too over the top and not really opens the eye. Basically, she has nothing on her eyes right now except for black mascara on the top lash line.
Okay.
What we're gonna do is we're gonna take a colored mascara. Right now we're taking sort of a great bright sapphire blue, and we're gonna take that and we're gonna put it on the bottom lash line. This is a really great secret to open up the eye. It works with, you know, the darkness of her lashes,
Uh-hmm.
her naked lashes. And again, because you've got darkness on top, but lightness on the bottom, eye really opens up. And it is a great fun way to try some color without being too over the top.
