Jessica Chastain: Supernova Video

Hello, my name is Jessica Chastain and welcome to my Marie Claire cover shoot. This is my first cover shoot for Marie Claire and I'm very excited about it. For style icons, I love old Hollywood glamor. I love Rita Hayworth from Gilda. Anything that is a woman that has her own flair for drama I really respond to. My favorite quality in a person is if they kind of march to their own drum. You know, don't follow the herd. I like people that stand on their own. I love watching Keeping up with Kardashians. I can safely say one thing I've never done, would like to, and will never do is skydive. My personal style would probably be definitely like classic lines of clothes that celebrate a woman's body. So maybe it might have a vintage flair to it. I also love a lot of color. When I have a creative block, I usually find that if I'm around creative people it takes the focus off of me. Being at home in Northern California, there's something I always do. It's likely drive to the ocean. And if you stand on the cliff and look down at the water, it's usually very cold and there's a wind and a sound of the ocean crashing on the rocks. Nothing like that makes me feel more alive. It reminds me of being a child, but it also makes me feel very present in the moment.
