Speaker: With filming your show, The Price of Beauty, what was the most memorable about that? Speaker: Every country was very, very different. And people just really, like, take care of themselves. Speaker: Right. Speaker: And like in Paris, they spend a lot of money... Speaker: Right. Speaker: On their facial products. Speaker: And they're really into facial. Speaker:They are very into facials. In Morocco, it was coal eyeliner and in India. Like their... the coal liner, which... which was, I mean it's amazing, it doesn't come off. Speaker: I know, I've seen people that actually put the coal on, like without the mirror, they can just sort to go like this and it's perfect. Speaker: It's perfect. Yeah, and then we did the henna tattoo. Speaker: And it did it so quick and it was all in my arm. Speaker: Wow. Speaker: It was so beautiful. We learned a lot of things about every culture, I mean, when we are in Uganda, in the village, they... the fatter you are, the more beautiful. Speaker: Wow. Speaker: So, it is a complement to call someone fat. And in Thailand, the bleaching of the skin... Speaker: Oh, right. Speaker: That's dangerous, it's in all their products that were in the market... Speaker: Right. Speaker: And it ends up as they are out of the sun, and they just end up damaging the skin. Speaker: Right, like the woman you met, have a really severe case. Speaker: Yeah, that's a very... that was a really emotional day, when we (??) and in the final episode, we get to bring her back to the states and I wanted her to sit down with my dermatologists and... Speaker: Oh, that's nice. Speaker: And she gave her a lot of stuff... Speaker: Right. Speaker: bringing back the melatonin in her skin. So, hopefully, you know, she will get beautiful again. After everything that I've gone through for the past year, with people just being fixated on me gaining some weight. Speaker: Right. Speaker: I mean that was really hard on me... Speaker: Right. Speaker: And to be in the media and the press at all times. Speaker: Right. They scrutinize like that. Speaker: Yeah, they scrutinize like that, and just, you know, I was just always paranoid. Everywhere I would go, you know, people will like, oh, you're not that fat. Speaker: Oh, they would say it. Speaker: I say Thank you, thank you very much, I'm really... I'm so glad that everybody I'm walking past is checking to see if I'm not fat or not. Speaker: Right. Speaker: That was very, very difficult, difficult time for me. And doing this show, the Price of Beauty, I- I really found confidence within myself. I wanted to take all that was negative that everybody that was just harping on, and make something positive... Speaker: Right. Speaker: Out of it, because I think that we do put too much pressure on women to be beautiful... Speaker: Right. Speaker: And to be perfect. Speaker: Right. Speaker: And, so that's really what the show was, and it was my own search, to find my own beauty within, whatever I have inside of me that is authentic that nobody else has, you know, discovering that, and embracing that.
