Hi. I'm Ying Chu, Beauty Director at Marie Claire. I'm here at the [unknown] Time Square with celebrity makeup artist Tina Turnbow. Tina, what are you gonna show us today?
I'm gonna show you how to do a nice, springy sheer melt-proof makeup look.
Great. I can't wait to see it.
I like to use a nice lightweight moisturizer oil-free with SPF 30. Use a concealer to spot conceal where it's necessary and let your skin breath. Otherwise use a concealer around your eye area that has SPF and it because that's-- and it's actually the most transparent. Apply a nice cream gel blush. It is really great to apply stain on some fair skin because it really sinks in that way. We're gonna use a long wearing smudge-proof eye pencil by Sephora subtly on the lash line. Top it with a little bit of matching powder eyeshadow and it actually will help it stay on longer. It will pop the color even more. And now, I'm gonna curl her lashes and apply some nice smudge proof, water proof mascara. Keep in mind, just put up your mascaras for the summer. Stay away from the bottom lashes. Even if it is smudge proof, I wouldn't twist it. Keep the lips soft and neutral when you have color on the cheeks and the eyes. After you're done you can just do a quick dusting of like a mineral powder that has SPF 8 in it. I'm gonna set it with an all night long lasting make up setting spray by Urban Decay which helps your make up last for 12 hours. Slightly mist your face with this. It's oil free and paraben free. It's pretty awesome. Great. Well, now you're ready to face the hot sun.
Chelsea looks terrific. I can't wait to try out the looks at myself this summer. For more make up tips, go to marieclaire.com.
