Jewel talks about honing her craft and delivers a powerful live performance of Hands
Sparkling Jewel shined her like at the Diet Coke Pop-Up Kitchen. She shared her unique voice in and intimate performance right here on our stage.
So, how is it to perform somewhere in an intimate environment at this Diet Coke Pop-Up Kitchen
I love it. Being on small environment is probably one of my favorites because I like talking, tell stories and just be alone with my guitar. It's a lot of time.
How does you say your music has evolved over the years?
I feel like it's changed as you changed as a person, hopefully yeah. I mean I have grown and changed a lot. I care a lot about the craft. I lot of song writers gets worse as they get older, but now the least to opposite they can direct best work in their 50s and I took that to heart and really tried to learn from that and make sure I was writing better, which means, you know, reading and make sure staying curious and learning and honing your craft everyday. If I could tell the world just one thing It would be that we're all OK And not to worry 'cause worry is wasteful And useless in times like these I won't be made useless I won't be idle with despair I'll gather myself around my faith For light does the darkness most fear My hands are small, I know But, they're not yours they are my own And I am never broken Poverty stole your golden shoes It didn't steal your laughter And heartache came to visit me But I knew it wasn't ever after We'll fight not out of spite For someone must stand up for what's right 'Cause where there's a man who has no voice There ours shall go singing My hands are small, I know But they're not yours, they are my own But they're not yours, they are my own I am never broken In the end only kindness matters In the end only kindness matters I will get down on my knees and I will pray I will get down on my knees and I will pray I will get down on my knees and I will pray My hands are small I know But they're not yours, they are my own But they're not yours, they are my own My hands are small I know But they're not yours, they are my own They are my own They are my own And we are never broken We are never broken Cause we are God's eyes God's hands God's mind We are God's eyes God's hands God's heart We are God's eyes We are God's hands We are, we are
