Lancôme, whose state-of-the-art mascaras have earned it the top-selling spot in department stores, spent the past two years with 2200 women around the globe dishing about, yep, eyelashes. While the findings helped the brand dream up the brilliant new lash-curling, humidity-resistant Courbe Virtuôse, we thought you'd get a kick out of the statistics, too:

79% of women were unhappy with their eyelashes.

30% of Americans felt their lashes were too pale.

41% of Asians thought theirs were too sparse.

29% of African-Americans found theirs too straight.
