Attention, art lovers, music enthusiasts, and do-gooders!
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the discovery of the AIDS virus, and we can't think of a better way to commemorate three decades of medical advances than by attending MTV RE:DEFINE, a benefit art exhibition and auction at the Goss-Michael Foundation in Dallas, Texas.
Thirty artists, including Tracey Emin and Marie Claire favorite Damien Hirst, will each donate an original work — photographs, paintings, sculptures, even a gigantic public installation in downtown Dallas! — that will be on public display from Sept. 16 to Sept. 23.
The event and auction will take place on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 7 p.m., and will be hosted by Simon de Pury, chairman of Phillips de Pury & Company. The Boxer Rebellion, a London-based alternative rock band, will perform at the event.

What we love most is that 100 percent of the proceeds of MTV RE:DEFINE will go to the MTV Staying Alive Foundation, a grassroots organization with a mission to create awareness and teach young people about the prevention of HIV/AIDS.
