The Crazy Way Beauty Bloggers Are Using Coffee to Change Their Face

A caffeinated approach we can get behind.

At this point in time, it's hard to imagine anything more sacred to the modern day woman than coffee (how else are we supposed to run the world?) and snatched brows. So the idea that one can foster the other, is very intriguing to us.

In a recently-revived video from beauty blogger Jennifer Chiu, she showcases this phenomenon by mixing together coffee grounds, as well as a slew of household ingredients, to create a D.I.Y., all-natural brow tint. And the step-by-step goes a little something like this.

1. Create the base.

It consists of two tablespoons of mixed coffee grounds and cocoa powder—the latter of which can be used to lighten the tint as desired. Be sure to mix thoroughly so the color deposits evenly!

2. Make it stick.

To ensure that the mixture won't fall off your arches, add some grit to the consistency with coconut oil and honey. This yields a paste-like texture that's easy to smooth on and stays in place.

3. Apply the tint.

First, brush through your brows with a spoolie brush so that they're ready to go. Then, using an angled brush, carefully apply tint to the brows in your desired shape. Be extra careful not to draw outside the lines—marking them first is helpful!

4. Let 'em sit.

For twenty minutes, then wash off *all* the tint and residue. And just like that, you've got darker, more defined arches sans having to visit a salon or deal with harsh chemicals.
