New Beyoncé is our favorite kind of hump day treat.
Her latest offering comes courtesy of the enigmatic producer known as BOOTS, who worked heavily on her latest album and has been releasing tracks of his forthcoming 16-song mixtape WinterSpringSummerFall all this month. His closing track "Dreams," is a new age slow jam that boasts rousing guest vocals from Queen Bey herself (her high note at 4-minute mark is rapturous). She belts out:
"'Cause baby we got a lot of life to live/ You're the only one I can stand by/ And baby we got a lot of love to give/ Maybe we can put the whole world on standby." She cotinues to sweetly sing the chorus up to the song's end: "All my life, I've been dreaming of you."
As if the track on its own isn't enough, all the profits from the song will benefit non-profit organization Day One. Fans can purchase the track for $0.99 here.
BOOTS, whose real name is Jordy Asher, posted the following message on his Facebook page:
"So this is the last song on my mixtape. My friend and I recorded it recently and while we were trying to figure out what to do with it, we had an idea.
"A while back I promised myself that if I ever had the opportunity to help others, or give back in some way, I would seize it.
"A friend recently told me about a non-profit organization called "Day One" here in NYC. In their words, "Day One is the only organization in New York City solely devoted to the issue of teen dating violence.
"I feel that protecting women from these horrible and unthinkable acts should take precedence in our society. I feel passionate about this because if more women knew that safe places existed from the turmoil they experience, it could possibly prevent these situations from occurring or reoccurring.
"Every cent made from this song will go directly to Day One
It's hard to put into words how thankful I am for everything and everyone who helped get this together. I've experienced a lot in my life. Good and bad. But through it all, I'm certain every one of those things had to happen to get me right where I am today. I feel very fortunate for that. Thanks for all of your love and support."
