Janet Jackson and her husband of almost five years, Wissam Al Mana, are splitting just three months after the birth of their son, Eissa, The Cut reports.

According to The Mail on Sunday, Jackson will continue to raise her son in London, where she moved with Al Mana.

"They're both busy people but determined to be good parents, even if they're apart. It's amicable and Eissa will stay with his mother, who is basing herself in London," a source told the paper.

Another source spoke to Page Six about the split, saying that Jackson thought Al Mana "had become too controlling during the pregnancy and she had already allowed him to dictate her appearance and even the way she performed at concerts."

Whatever the reason for the divorce, the couple seem committed to coparenting their son and remaining amicable.
