North and Saint West will soon have to share their toys with a new baby sister, as TMZ reports that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are expecting a girl through their surrogate. The new details come one day after multiple outlets reported that the surrogate was pregnant with the couple's third child after Kimye hired her through a surrogacy agency. One source told People that Kim is also in charge of "an ideal regimen and diet" for the duration of the pregnancy so she knows what her child is eating before she's born.
The surrogate, according to TMZ, is an African-American in her 20s and has been married for five years with two young children. The site also points out that she's a registered Democrat, has a "solid" marriage, and is a college graduate. That last detail might bode well for Kimye's future kid, as TMZ notes, "through osmosis."
Kim previously opened up about her struggles with placenta accreta during her pregnancies with North and Saint. In 2015, while pregnant with Saint, Kim took to her blog to detail the aftermath of what happened to her placenta, which stayed attached to her uterine wall, after she gave birth to North. "My doctor had to stick his entire arm in me and detach the placenta with his hand, scraping it away from my uterus with his fingernails. My mom was crying; she had never seen anything like this before. My delivery was fairly easy, but then going through that—it was the most painful experience of my life!"
