After weeks of teasing and months of preparation, a radiant Selena Gomez began her Revival world tour last night in Las Vegas. She performed 20 songs—and debuted a new track, "Feel Me" on stage—while dancing in masquerade masks, shimmery bodysuits, and one elegant sheer gown.
Zac Efron's ex-girlfriend Sami Miro and Miranda Kerr were spotted at the opening night of the show (no Taylor Swift this time). Fans were quick to speculate Justin Bieber, who was in New York City, may have left Sel this voicemail:
Below, the night in full, from Selena's dressing room to the after-party. Before the show, Selena Snapchatted, admitting she was a bit nervous. "I literally just want to go on stage. I'm losing my mind because it's the first show. I just want to get started already.'"
Joe Jonas's band DNCE opened for Selena:
Then Selena emerged, starting the show with "Revival." A curtain came down to unveil her and her glittery Monse bodysuit, made with Swarovski crystals:
She performed 19 more songs, mixing her old and new tracks. "Same Old Love," "Come and Get It," and "Sober" were in her first act. She started "Same Old Love" in a Fifty Shades-esque masquerade mask before removing it and her black dress:
While Selena changed, videos of the singer played, including one particularly steamy one:
Selena then emerged and did a chair dance for "Good for You" while in a skintight catsuit:
"Survivors" came after, with her jumpsuit's cape fluttering while she danced:
Then she did two of her old tracks—"Slow Down" and "Love You Like a Love Song"—before her new one, "Hands to Myself:"
She changed into a sheer gown and did her classic "Who Says," a song the audience was really into:
The show slowed down a bit from there, when Selena took to the piano to do a cover of Christian band Hillsong Worship's "Transfiguration."
"This is the first time I'll ever be playing piano and singing at the same time," she told Entertainment Weekly. "I've taken piano lessons since the beginning of tour rehearsals. I wanted to have a whole section where it's just me, the mic, and my band. It's going to be very conversational: I've never written, "This is where I'm going to stop and say this." Whatever that night makes me feel, I say it whenever I want. When I see a girl crying, or excited, I feel what she's feeling."
She then did "Nobody," a song she said she wrote about God. She teared up while performing it:
But the biggest moment was her unveiling "Feel Me," a new song that may or may not be about the Biebs with its "I'm still on your mind/We were one in a million/Our love is hard to find" lyrics.
The dancing was at its most intense toward the end of the show. Selena performed an upbeat "Me & My Girls," "Me & the Rhythm," and "Body Heat" in a gold, Beyonce-style bodysuit. Elegant fans, sugar skulls, and roses were part of the visuals:
She then did a cover of "Sweet Dreams" in a glittery jacket before wrapping up with "Kill 'Em With Kindness," where she got playful with dancers and giant bouncy balls on stage:
Her encore included "I Want You to Know," where she asked the audience to sing with her. And finally, one last "Revival" remix:
"Thank you so much, Vegas," she told the crowd. "I cried, I danced."
Whee! The night's full set list:
Sel knew she killed it on stage in a Snapchat captured before her after party.
She spent the night there dancing with her friends (Sami among them) and thanked everyone for their support. "I'm so happy to celebrate!"
The next Revival concert is Sunday in Fresno, California.
