The Tony Awards Dedicates Ceremony To Orlando Shooting

The Broadway community remembers those affected as the show goes on.

Tonight, the Broadway community celebrates the Tony Awards with a heavy heart. After the country was shaken by the mass shooting in Orlando, Fl. this morning, The Tony Awards decided to dedicate this year's show to those affected by the events. 

The show has also created a special ribbon to remember and support the LGBT community which has been devastated by the attacks.

The cast of Hamilton, which is nominated for a record-breaking 16 awards, has said they will set aside their typical musket props for tonight's performance out of respect for those affected, according to CNN.
