Join Nicole Kidman to Stop Violence Against Women

Put a stop to violence against women by adding your name.

Violence against women may seem like something that happens to other people, but the facts beg to differ. Chances are, you already know a woman that's been a victim of violence. As many as one in three women and girls will be beaten, coerced into sex, or otherwise abused in their lifetime—that may be your mother, sister, or best friend. Help put a stop to it by adding your name to the Say No to Violence campaign.

Developed by UNIFEM, the United Nations Development Fund for Women, the Say No to Violence Campaign has served as a platform worldwide to raise awareness and take action on violence against women.

On November 25, 2008, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, UNIFEM Goodwill Ambassador and campaign spokesperson Nicole Kidman will present one million signatures in support of the campaign to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. Make sure your name is on that list and add your voice to Marie Claire's Say No To Violence support badge above.
