As the home of an internationally renowned art fair, Basel in Switzerland attracts contemporary art fans every year. Unsurprisingly, the city is visually alluring, not to mention rich in history, particularly as it shares borders with both France and Germany. I only spent three nights in the city and wished I'd stayed for longer. (Learn from my mistake!)

Easily reached by train or plane, Basel is an ideal stop on any European vacation, or for tourists who enjoy a slower pace of travel. From storybook hotels to gluten-free McDonald's and delectable local cuisine, Basel offered everything I needed for my European getaway.

Where to Stay

To say that Grand Hôtel Les Trois Rois—part of The Leading Hotels of the World—collection is a Basel institution is an understatement. Situated on the Rhine, the hotel is rich in history—a history carefully preserved by its owners to elevate the luxe nature of the 5-star property.

When you ascend the steps of the Les Trois Rois, the hotel's grand lobby sparkles thanks to multiple glittering chandeliers, conjuring a dose of the "storybook magic" mentioned on the venue's website—a claim I can confirm is 100 percent accurate.

Notably, the hotel has its own florist—Fleurs Des Rois—located in the heart of Basel. It supplies the hotel's fresh flower arrangements, which provides the perfect Instagram photo op for even casual visitors to the lobby.

Other features include the architecturally impressive cigar lounge The Council, a library featuring antique stained glass windows, and Bar Les Trois Rois, a space equipped with leather armchairs overlooking the Rhine. Basically, you won't want to leave the building.

Alternatively, based in Basel's Marktplatz, or market square, Hotel Märthof's romantic exterior echoes the vibes of the city's Altstadt, or Old Town. With suites offering balconies and a rooftop terrace, the 4-star venue puts guests in the center of the action and is well-connected to tram lines.

If Hotel Märthof's exterior hints at Basel's rich history, its rooms and suites offer an artistic twist with decor that's both stylishly retro and futuristic. Comfort is key, with many rooms featuring freestanding bathtubs and double vanities, along with balconies or views of the surrounding area.

Where to Eat

Les Trois Rois provides guests with several dining options, including the world-renowned Cheval Blanc by Peter Knogl, which combines French haute cuisine with Mediterranean and Asian influences and has been awarded three Michelin stars. Needless to say, booking is advised.

Hotel guests can enjoy breakfast in the Brasserie, which offers cooked options along with an extravagant buffet—and, yes, self-serve caviar is available. We had dinner overlooking the Rhine, with impeccable service and incredibly informed staff members who provide the perfect wine pairings and accommodate allergy needs.

With its pink velvet seating and purple velvet booths, and offering food and cocktails, Banks is Les Trois Rois's modern conversion of a former financial building.

The hotel also offers an afternoon tea, with a seasonally changing menu, which can be eaten on a terrace overlooking the Rhine. And, as previously mentioned, McDonald's in Switzerland offers a gluten-free menu—a rarity for the franchise—so if you need a fast food fix that's allergen-free, this is your sign to head to Basel.

Meanwhile, at Hotel Märthof, breakfast is served in Bohemia, where visitors can also enjoy a snack or a meal, along with the restaurant's extensive cocktail menu. Positioned on Basel's Marktplatz, outdoor seating allows guests to enjoy the busy ambience of the outdoor terrace, whether they're sampling an espresso or stopping for lunch.

Plus, the hotel's rooftop terrace has incredible views of Basel and is only accessible to hotel residents.

What to Do

As a disabled person, I struggle to navigate crowded cities and touristy destinations. I was lucky enough to take my Rollz Motion Rollator with me on the trip; the ingenious walker wheelchair combo made it easy to switch between walking and sitting, depending on my energy levels. Notably, Basel never felt overwhelming. I enjoyed walking along the Rhine and exploring the city's Old Town without feeling rushed.

Basel's Rathaus—also known as the Town Hall—is one of the city's centerpieces. Its striking red facade and intricate frescoes are impossible to resist, and visitors can enjoy tours of the impressive building.

Seijaku—also known as the Place of Serenity—is an unexpected retreat in the center of Basel, where visitors can enjoy a range of wellbeing treatments, or simply soak in the atmosphere.

There's so much to see in the city, which blends its historic Old Town with modern architecture; seasonal events draw big crowds throughout the year. Basler Fasnacht, for example, is Switzerland's biggest festival, taking place in February and March annually and featuring a huge array of performers and participants.

While there are several museums in the city, Kunstmuseum Basel—described as the oldest public art collection in the world—curates a plethora of diverse exhibitions, while collating artistic works from throughout history.

There's no denying summer pieces have merit—that’s an indisputable fact. And while flip-flops, sundresses, and mini skirts are all well and good, there’s something about dressing for the fall season that hits so much harder.

Former royal chef Darren McGrady experienced his fair share of hilarious moments while working in the kitchens at Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace, but one juicing incident might just take the cake. McGrady, who spent 11 years cooking for Queen Elizabeth before moving over to work for Princess Diana, says that Diana had a penchant for healthy eating, but one idea ended in disaster when she didn’t take his advice.

Speaking on behalf of Smooth Spins Casino, McGrady says that Princess Diana loved to eat “fresh and clean” meals like “a peach and feta salad with walnuts.” She also was a huge fan of fresh juice, and the former royal chef says Diana “was juicing before juicing was even invented.”

After Diana asked McGrady to buy a juicer, he started making “fresh orange juice every morning” for the princess, he recalls. “Then, after that, she would have a green drink mid-morning. That would be spinach, celery, cucumber and apple juice. She would have that religiously every morning.” However, one type of juice didn’t quite agree with the princess.

“One day, she came in and said, ‘Darren, I want some beet juice. I’ve heard that beetroot juice is healthy,’” McGrady shares. However, he even though he warned her that it needed to be diluted with another type of juice, Princess Diana insisted on straight beetroot juice only.

“A few hours later, she came into the kitchen and said, ‘Darren, you’ve poisoned me! Look at my face, it’s all blotchy,’” McGrady shares. “I told her it could have been the overdose of beetroot juice.”

Unfortunately this happened right before Trooping the Colour, but McGrady says that Diana solved her splotchy face situation with a fresh tan and some heavy-handed foundation.

“She went onto the sunbed, which we had at Kensington Palace back in the day, got a little bit of a tan and put on loads of makeup,” he recalls. “Thankfully, no one noticed when she went out on the balcony for Trooping, and no one picked up on it.”

“That worked fine, but after that she listened to me when I told her about juicing, what we could use and what we couldn’t,” McGrady shares.

In a certain social group, some birthday party invitations are more impressive than others. As Prince George celebrates his thirteenth birthday, school parents at Lambrook School—where Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis have attended school for the last few years—have revealed Prince William and Princess Kate are incredibly “hands-on” at their children’s birthday parties. While it's hard to imagine a low-key birthday party for the future King of England, the Prince and Princess of Wales are known for hosting down-to-earth children’s parties at their family home.

Daily Beast journalist Tom Sykes revealed in his Substack that the birthday parties at Forest Lodge are void of pomp and ceremony. "I went to the house for a kid's birthday party, and [Prince William and Princess Kate] were the ones organizing the games,” a parent from Lambrook School revealed. Rounders—a British-equivalent to baseball—and classic party games were part of the simple celebrations. "Any of us lot would get an entertainer in and sit in the house drinking rosé,” the parent said, but Prince William and Princess Kate were heavily involved in the party plans.

This seems a departure from royal childhoods of the past, which is exactly how Prince William likes it. Royal Editor Emily Andrews shared insights from a close friend of the royal couple, writing "The prince and princess have put in boundaries to give their children an incredibly normal upbringing in the circumstances. How they decide when they show up at events is carefully balanced. The prince has always wanted to give them the normal upbringing that he didn't have." Andrews noted that these down-to-earth parties left fellow school parents “gently amused.”

While it may not be the royal way of doing things, it is certainly the Middleton way of planning parties. Carole Middleton was once the Queen of Parties as founder of Party Pieces, a children’s party supply company. The Middleton matriarch once praised at-home parties as being the best kind—simple parties with friends, party games, and a cake can go a long way. “I remember all my school friends cramming into our front room for games and tea,” Carole Middleton told the Daily Mail. While blowout parties at play places and sporting facilities became more and more popular, the trend has slowly shifted back to the relaxed party at home. “Parents are starting to choose small, simple parties at home or in a hall again,” Carole said.

A small, simple party at Forest Lodge sounds idyllic—if not surprising, given the children’s royal status—and fits right into a Middleton family tradition. Prince William and Princess Kate organizing pass-the-parcel and doing the limbo might be just the down-to-earth modernization that the monarchy needs.

Isolating. Mysterious. Helpless. All words that came up during an intimate conversation about endometriosis at the home of feminist icon Gloria Steinem. Endometriosis affects 10 percent of women worldwide, but many suffer in silence, ignored by doctors and isolated by their sometimes debilitating pain. (Debilitating—another word that kept coming up.)

But isolation wasn’t an issue at the July meetup at Steinem’s home. Hoping to amplify understanding of endometriosis and the ways it affects sufferers, Chelsea Leyland and Tatiana Steel—who in 2020 co-founded Looni, a reproductive and hormonal health platform and brand—partnered with Steinem for one of her legendary "talking circles."

“We thought we had invented [them],” Steinem told the group about her now-famous series of discussions, which date back to the '60s. “Quite a few years later, we were here in this very room and Wilma Mankiller, the great chief of the Cherokee Nation, came and sat and listened to us for a while and said, ‘Well, when we do this we have a talking stick that we pass around.’ So...we invented the world’s oldest human institution,’” the 92-year-old said, eliciting laughter from the group.

“Anyway, I love that it’s a circle," Steinem added. "I love that it doesn’t have a president or a vice president. We’re all part of it. We can all participate and agree and disagree and learn and discover what we thought we knew was wrong.”

Inside Steinem's living room, her guests—which included doctors, advocates, and sufferers—introduced themselves, sharing their stories and the single word they associate with the disease. Some attendees were quickly brought to tears. Others couldn't share their stories fast enough. The release of being among those who truly understood—it was overwhelming.

On average, it takes seven to 10 years to be diagnosed with endometriosis. Several guests at Steinem's home had been told by doctors that their crushing pain was a "normal" part of being a woman—a notoriously common experience for endometriosis sufferers. For other women, their infertility—a known complication of endometriosis—wasn't properly addressed or treated for years. Gaslit—another word that came up again and again.

Leyland, the Looni co-founder who co-hosted the event, suffered multiple miscarriages during her ten-year struggle to be diagnosed with the disease. A circle like the one at Steinem's home, she said, would have been a lifeline.

"All I wanted to do was connect with other women who were experiencing loss and the burning desire to become a mother and being faced every day with the idea that that might not be a reality,” she told the group. “There is so much power in identification. Just someone saying, ‘I see you. I hear you. I’m going through the same thing.’”

Her word? Excruciating.

Other guests opened up about losing pregnancies—another topic often considered taboo, though women yearn to connect over it. Actor Marianne Rendón shared that after experiencing multiple pregnancy losses, she finally has a 10-week-old daughter—and yet, her journey with the disease is ongoing. Her word: distrust.

“It’s so sad to me that I distrust medicine when I want to find providers for [my daughter] and she’s so little," Rendón said. "I feel really grateful that you’re all here and fighting for this.”

On that point, everybody agreed: The fight takes everyone—an active community of advocates, medical professionals, and patients. And change begins with conversation.

To that end, dentist Dr. Eve Lofthus shared her research journey about the potential connection between the oral microbiome and endometriosis. Dr. Tamer Seckin, a renowned endometriosis surgeon, spoke about the role of genetics. Acupuncturist Mary Sabo spoke about integrative medicine. Dr. Piraye Beim of Celmatix Therapeutics and Dr. Semir Beyaz of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory talked the group through their research into medicines that could potentially be cures.

“I think we can make it because we are here all together,” Dr. Beyaz said. “The surgeon is here. The advocate is here. The scientist is here.”

The word he most associates with endometriosis: resilience.

Just like the disease itself—which can manifest in a variety of different ways, from IBS-like symptoms and infertility to crippling pelvic pain and organ invasion—the guests’ words were varied and expansive. Hopeful, said Kara O’Malley, co-founder of Our Daughters Foundation. Mobilize, said Liz Powell, the founder of Women’s Health Advocates. Perseverance, said Dr. Kolbe Hancock, co-founder of Spring Fertility.

"I have so much resentment for [endometriosis]—for how much it has taken,” said Nicole Notor, the founder of Endo Excision for All. “At the same time, it’s brought so many incredible human beings into my life that I never would have met otherwise.”

Her word? Community.

Prince William and Princess Kate have had one united mission for the last thirteen years: to give their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, as normal a childhood as possible. That is the resounding explanation as they prioritize soccer games and school runs over royal duties, at least while they can. This is a huge shift from royal childhoods throughout history, where the future monarch was brought up from an early age in a world of nannies and tutors behind palace walls.

Royal sources say that this unprecedented decision to bring their children up on solid salt-of-the-earth ground was actually a strategic choice for the future of the monarchy. “The way they have lived their lives—getting the kids outside, spending time together, focusing on the school run—it’s just as strategic as any other part of their public service,” a source told The Telegraph. “Preparing their children for the lives they are going to lead” is “central to their roles” as the Prince and Princess of Wales, rather than a secondary role that can be outsourced to the nanny. “It’s not something that’s on the side.”

Princess Kate’s work with the Royal Foundation for Early Childhood has surely illuminated the importance of those early childhood years, up to age five and beyond, in creating well-rounded, balanced, and grounded adults in the future. To raise a healthy and happy future king, they need to raise Prince George as a normal and well-adjusted child first. Prince William’s own experience as a young royal, alongside Princess Kate’s expertise, helped to shape their unique way of raising royal children.

The biggest test of their plan is right around the corner. While they have filled their family home with “muddy boots outside, dogs and kids running in and out of the garden, something lovely cooking on the stove,” they can’t control the environment at Eton College. Notoriously ritzy and elitist, fellow students at Eton College may have had a very different experience from camping in the Lake District and beachy holidays in Cornwall. Only time will tell if their down-to-earth family life will pay off for the future Kings of England.

Meghan Markle has been spending plenty of time in the kitchen between product development for her lifestyle brand, As Ever, her Emmy-nominated Netflix series, and whipping up treats in the kitchen for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Cooking and culinary pursuits have quickly become one of her main focuses as Meghan Markle builds her own brand, but she has been known as a foodie since her days of blogging on The Tig. Despite this well-known passion for cooking, it was a big surprise to see Meghan Markle appear on MasterChef Australia earlier this year.

As the episode gets closer to airing, new clips of Meghan Markle’s appearance on the show have been shared to build the excitement as she appears as a guest judge. To mark their eldest son’s 13th birthday, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a rare video featuring an athletic and very teenage-looking Prince George. Prince George will have the option to return home to spend weekends with his family at Forest Lodge, where Prince Louis will undoubtedly enjoy having his big brother back at home.

Hot take: The cocktail attire dress code is overdue for an update. Traditionally, it called for a midi or tea-length dress or a tailored suit. But what feels dressy has expanded, and thankfully, so have the rules. In 2026, we're questioning old gender norms, prioritizing comfort alongside style, and dressing in an era where every outfit is photographed from every angle. The result? More freedom to interpret cocktail attire—but also more pressure to get it right.

The good news is that cocktail attire should be more fun than black tie. It's an invitation to play with personal style without the rigidity of formalwear. Of course, context still matters. Consider the season, venue, time of day, and footwear, then build from there.

With each Instagram post, Sofia Richie Grainge puts another underrated It sneaker on my radar. Last month, she brought limited-edition Adidas Tokyos to their namesake city, which introduced me to the brand's recent collaboration with Australian label Song for the Mute. This week, as I zoomed in on Grainge's IG-worthy shoes again, Chloé's sneakers gave her groutfit a cool-mom makeover.

The mom-of-two spent her "Monochrome Monday" in gray basics, which, according to the post's tag, hailed from her own fashion label, SRG. While the striped Breton shirt tied around her waist is available and retails for $180, the slightly oversized tee and wide-leg sweatpants seem to be unreleased styles. Her accessories, on the other hand, are ripe for the shopping.

Like any on-the-go parent, Grainge needed supportive sneakers that also served a look. Any of her Adidas pairs would've worked, but by choosing Chloé's Kick Low-Top trainers, the sneakerhead proved she's unpredictable as ever in the fashion department. Knowing Grainge's affinity for minimalism, maybe she was drawn to the pair's neutral color palette, which features white mesh, cream-colored lacing, beige sidewalls, and chestnut suede toe boxes.

Before I dive into each look, let me start by saying this: I refuse to wear sweat sets while boarding any plane. I know I sound like a fashion snob—but I’m not! While there’s nothing wrong with laid-back loungewear, a put-together airport uniform gives me a sense of confidence that joggers and hoodies simply cannot deliver. Styled with a tank top, a sweater, and sleek sandals, this outfit took me right from the tarmac to the beach.

I kept things elevated with my beloved Jenny Bird pendant necklace and my Cuyana Bowler bag, which is large enough to fit all my carry-on essentials.

Tailored to Perfection

Who says tailored trousers are reserved solely for the office? Crafted with relaxed crepe fabric, these slacks from Aritzia are casual enough for any airport terminal. To complete the outfit, I added an unbuttoned J.Crew top, an easygoing tank, and snug Mansur Gavriel Mary Janes. Then, I pulled everything together with polished Pandora jewels.

When all else fails, I know that I can always rely on my trusty jeans-and-tee combo. To refrain from looking too basic, I’ll usually tie a cardigan around my shoulders. Not only does it help my outfit to appear more considered, but it also keeps me cozy when aircraft cabin temperatures are too chilly to bear. Complete with cool-girl Adidas Sambas and chic carry-on luggage, this look is worth repeating.

I wasn’t moving or heartbroken. I did it because I looked at a wardrobe full of gorgeous things that should be making me feel beautiful, and instead, I felt lost. That feeling had been building for a while—my closet was full of everything from my first pair of big girl pumps (Gianvito Rossi) and white leather Gucci slides (truly an era), to Thom Browne runway pieces that had no business being worn to dinner in LA. Mind you, in the midst of all of this collecting, I’d lived a very full life. I got my first job, met my husband, sold a company, pivoted into private equity, pivoted out of private equity, had two babies...and along the way, I lost sight of the version of myself I wanted to be presenting to the world.

It was time for a rebrand.

I’d always thought hiring a stylist was for celebrities and red carpets, but my friend Pia Mance (Founder of Heaven Mayhem) educated me on the everyday benefits of a personal stylist. She inspired me to treat this as my rebrand, and so I applied the same formula I’d apply to a brand to myself. Said formula requires an overarching vision and strategy, but it also requires you to partner with the subject matter experts in bringing that vision to life.

Enter my stylist, Zoe Stewart.

I know, intellectually, that I have good taste. But the level of expertise you need to know exactly which t-shirt will fall just so on your specific body is incredibly high; it requires daily research, deep industry understanding, and hours of trial and error. You need to understand fabric composition, color theory, seams, and cuts. The reality is that I do not, and as a result, my outfits felt like something anyone would throw together versus the considered, almost surgical thoughtfulness I wanted them to convey.

If admitting to yourself that you have a problem is the hardest part, finding the right stylist is the second-hardest. Once I started asking around, I realized that most women whose style I admired worked with a professional. So I went deep into who they worked with; Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, and Substack became my best friends. Let yourself fall down the rabbit hole. There are so many talented stylists out there, but I knew how critical it was that I found the one that understood me on a deeper level—not just my aesthetic. When I found Zoe, it just clicked; there’s a sense of restraint in her work, and she has a sharp eye for silhouette, texture and proportion. I love an architectural, layered look that’s rooted in simplicity and minimalism—she has this instinct for making clothes feel just so: modern, specific and entirely natural to me.

Let’s get into the brass tacks of what I wish I had known about hiring a stylist from day one. First and foremost, I put it off for so long because I was deeply intimidated. I’ll be so honest: It’s not nearly as scary or unattainable as you’d think.

Mind you, it does require investment—money and time. I offset much of my new wardrobe expenses by parting with my old pieces, but stylists charge a fee for their time and expertise (as any expert does). Zoe and I work in a retainer capacity, so instead of charging by the look (where she’d source a head-to-toe outfit for me for a particular event), she charges a monthly fee that covers 15 hours of styling services per month. Some of that scope includes:

• Creative direction across my wardrobe and appearance
• Researching, selecting, and presenting outfit options aligned with my aesthetic, for upcoming events but also in my day-to-day
• Closet audits and wardrobe editing sessions
• In-person and virtual fittings
• Shopping on my behalf
• Advising on gifting
• Loan coordination

She started by presenting me with an initial deck of dozens of foundational pieces and had me order around 30. She then came to our first fitting with a dozen more hand-sourced one-of-a-kind vintage pieces, accessories, shoes, and bags. When I think about the time it would have taken for me to research and find all of those pieces, I’m nauseated. And frankly, many of the brands I never would have found or ordered from without her recommendation.

We played with clothes for hours and none of it was about shopping, buying more, or consumerism. It was about maximizing what I had and leaning into the silhouettes, fabrics, and proportions that I looked and felt the best in.

The wardrobe I have now is the smallest I've ever owned; so small, in fact, that my husband can fit his clothes in our closet for the first time in ten years (he’s ecstatic). It’s also the only one I’ve ever loved. Every single piece was chosen with intention. Everything works with everything else. There are no orphans, no work versus weekend items; in fact, there’s one pair of leggings and one sweatshirt. I have nothing lazy or sloppy to fall back into. Moving forward, Zoe will help me evolve that foundational wardrobe for the seasons, craft new looks for opportunities, and help me continue to refine and sharpen my perspective.

It’s the thick of summer, and if you, like me, refuse to smell anything other than completely magnificent, then I have something to tell you: Frédéric Malle has extended its Acne Studios collaboration to include two brand new formulas.

​While I don’t typically subscribe to any fragrance rules, I do find myself gravitating toward fresher, cleaner, and even citrus scent profiles in the summer months. That’s exactly why the creation of the body wash and milk formulas in the popular Acne Studios scent caught my attention immediately. The fragrance that resulted from the collaboration between the two houses is a perfect scent for the sweltering summer heat that is blanketing New York City right now. Aldehydes, rose, peach, vanilla, and more combine to create a slightly fruity but extremely soapy scent that makes me feel like I just stepped out of the shower for the entire life cycle of the perfume.

​With the new body care formulas readily available to layer with, I expect this already beast-mode scent to become nuclear when I stack all three products back to back. What Do the Acne Studios by Frédéric Malle Body Care Formulas Feel Like?

As the name suggests, the Body Milk is a much lighter formula than a traditional lotion. While that means it sinks into the skin much faster, don’t let that lead you to believe the scent is affected at all. In fact, the fragrance is so strong that you can dab a bit on your pulse points like you would a traditional eau de parfum, and the scent trail you’d leave behind would still be unbeatable.

​For the body wash, the same rules apply. There is an overdose of the peachy, aldehydic fragrance that is the signature of this collection. When using in the shower, note that a little goes a very long way, as you can see in the video's viscous, thick texture. It doesn’t have the most bubbly lather; however, the formula does make my skin feel clean without completely stripping it of moisture, all without compromising the mouthwatering scent.

What Ingredients Are in the Acne Studios by Frédéric Malle Body Care Formulas?

There are a few standout ingredients across both launches that lead me to believe that these formulas are wonderful for a wide range of skin types. The body wash has hexylene glycol, which is acne-safe and acts as a penetration booster, helping the soap's cleaning agents penetrate a bit better. There are also oat amino acids, which help to condition the skin, and castor oil, which acts as an emollient to keep the barrier moisturized.

​As for the body milk, a myriad of oils like sweet almond and safflower seed keep the formula nourishing, while butylene glycol helps with retaining moisture to keep the skin looking soft and supple. Both formulas are applied like any other body care product: the body wash is used in the shower and can be applied with a washcloth, African net sponge, or loofah, and the body milk can be used either in place of or paired with a thicker lotion.

Princess Kate’s Cartier Halo tiara is worth more than a million dollars less than the headpieces worn by Meghan Markle or Zara Tindall on their wedding days, and the Spencer Tiara—worn by Princess Diana for her 1981 wedding to Prince Charles—doesn’t even rank in the top five of the most expensive diadems.

Justin Daughters, managing director and antique jewelry expert at Berganza, tells Marie Claire that the process of evaluating tiaras is a complicated one, but at the end of the day, “the primary factors determining the gem's value are not limited to the diamonds and precious stones composing the tiara.”

“Beyond these factors, several others must be considered during evaluation, including the gem itself, rarity, workmanship, and its connection to the royal occasion for which it was used,” the jewelry expert explains.

And while there are certain tiaras that will forever hold a fascination for the public, like Diana’s, the headpieces that are worth the most might surprise some fans. Below, Daughters ranks the five most valuable wedding tiaras in the Royal Family’s collection.

The Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara

You might not expect Princess Eugenie to take the crown for the priciest wedding tiara, but the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik “is widely regarded as one of the most valuable modern royal wedding tiaras,” Daughters says.

Princess Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank on October 12, 2018 at St George's Chapel in Windsor, and while her tiara bore some similarities to Meghan Markle's with its headband-like style, its stunning emeralds take the diadem's valuation through the roof.

“Created by Boucheron in 1919 for society hostess Dame Margaret Greville, it is an extraordinary example of early 20th-century jewelry design,” Daughters says. Greville passed her extraordinary jewelry collection down to the Queen Mother, with the pieces becoming part of royal history.

“While the tiara features exceptional diamonds, its true rarity lies in its remarkable emeralds, including the spectacular 93.7-carat cabochon-cut Colombian emerald at its center,” Daughters says. He explains that its valuation is due to these remarkable stones, noting, “Natural emeralds of this size, color and quality are exceptionally rare, particularly when untreated or minimally treated.”

“The combination of exceptional gemstones, an iconic Art Deco silhouette and an extraordinary royal connection makes this a truly museum-quality jewel that would be almost impossible to recreate today.”

Estimated value: £10 million to £13 million ($13.4 million to $17.4 million)

Queen Mary’s Fringe Tiara

The second most valuable tiara, unsurprisingly, is Queen Mary's Fringe Tiara, the design worn by Queen Elizabeth for her November 20, 1947 wedding to Prince Philip.

“Created by Garrard in 1919, it was made using diamonds from a necklace gifted to Queen Mary by Queen Victoria in 1893,” Daughters says.

Featuring 47 graduated diamond bars laid out in a "fringe" design, the delicate tiara actually snapped ahead of the then-Princess Elizabeth's wedding and had to be repaired just hours before the ceremony at Westminster Abbey.

Queen Elizabeth went on to lend the tiara to Princess Beatrice for her secret July 17, 2020 wedding, held at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Prince Andrew's former home, Royal Lodge.

“Although it is entirely diamond-set, its importance comes from the exceptional quality of its antique diamonds, its craftsmanship and, above all, its remarkable provenance,” Daughters adds of the tiara.

Estimated value: £5 million to £9 million ($6.7 million to $12 million)

The Meander Tiara

Coming in at number three is the tiara Zara Tindall wore for her July 30, 2011 wedding to Mike Tindall, and Daughters says not to underestimate the simplicity of this style.

“The Meander Tiara is a beautiful example of understated elegance,” the jewelry expert says. “Featuring a classical Greek key, or ‘meander’ design alongside laurel wreath and honeysuckle motifs,” Daughters says that Zara’s tiara “has a refined architectural quality that feels both timeless and distinctive.”

The diadem has a touching royal history, as Zara's mother, Princess Anne, was given the tiara by Queen Elizabeth—who had received it from Prince Philip's mother, Princess Alice of Greece and Denmark. Anne has continued to wear the Meander Tiara to this day, making it an extra-special design for her daughter to wear on her wedding day.

“Unlike some of the larger royal tiaras, its appeal is not based solely on gemstone size,” Daughters says. “Its value lies in its exceptional provenance, elegant proportions and the rarity of its design.”

Estimated value: £2 million–£4 million ($2.6 to $5.3 million)

Queen Mary’s Diamond Bandeau Tiara

“Recollections may vary” when it comes to the royal arguments over Meghan Markle’s wedding tiara, but everyone can agree that the diamond bandeau she wore for her May 21, 2018 wedding to Prince Harry was a stunning choice.

Per Daughters, Queen Mary’s Diamond Bandeau Tiara dates back to 1932, and the platinum design “features a series of geometric sections set with diamonds and incorporates a detachable central brooch originally given to Queen Mary as a wedding gift in 1893.”

“What makes this piece particularly fascinating is its versatility,” he adds, explaining that since the center stone can be removed and worn as a brooch, “it allows the jewel to function both as a ceremonial tiara and as an independent piece of jewelry, showcasing the practical ingenuity often found in royal jewels.”

"Its significance comes from the combination of historic diamonds, Art Deco craftsmanship and its royal provenance,” Daughters says of Queen Mary’s Diamond Bandeau, adding that Meghan created “a new chapter in its long history.”

Estimated value: £2 million–£5 million ($2.6 to $6.7 million)

The Cartier Halo Tiara

Last but certainly not least is the Cartier Halo Tiara, famously worn by Princess Kate on her April 29, 2011 wedding day to Prince William. Daughters notes that even though it “may be one of the more delicate royal wedding tiaras,” the Cartier Halo “has become one of the most recognizable” pieces of jewelry in the world.

The tiara was created by Cartier in 1936, featuring “739 brilliant-cut diamonds and 149 baguette-cut diamonds arranged in elegant scrolling motifs,” per Daughters. It was originally purchased by King George VI for the Queen Mother back when they were still the Duke and Duchess of York, and it was part of the Queen Mother’s small collection of tiaras at the time.

The Cartier design was then passed down to Queen Elizabeth as an 18th birthday gift, but she was never seen wearing it in public. Princess Margaret, however, frequently wore the petite tiara, including to her sister’s coronation.

"Although it does not feature the colored gemstones that make the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik so exceptional, its value lies in Cartier’s craftsmanship, its historical importance and its extraordinary cultural significance,” Daughters says of the Cartier Halo. “Catherine’s wedding introduced the jewel to a global audience and transformed it into one of the defining royal jewels of the modern era.”

Estimated value: £1 million–£2.5 million ($1.3 million to $3.3 million)

Although I work in the media sector, it’s rather rare that I get excited to meet a celebrity. All that nonchalance went out the window when I met Hilary Duff for the first time. Not only is she one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, but she looks incredible. And not in a flippant way. I mean, everything about her looks ridiculously good. Her hair, her nails, her teeth. My skin runs naturally red, so my makeup goal is always the same: even it out without pissing it off more. The skincare is a natural fit for the concept, but the makeup is what really caught my attention.

The two products I was most interested in were the makeup: the Daily Calm Makeup Balm and the Lip + Cheek Color, both of which promised to bring that same barrier-minded approach into my glam routine. The Daily Calm Makeup Balm gives skin a light veil of coverage that can be layered where needed, while the Lip + Cheek Color leaves behind an easy wash of pigment in a comforting balm texture.

What makes the collection feel genuinely fresh is that the makeup isn’t just sitting on top of sensitive skin and covering the evidence—it’s meant to keep supporting the barrier while you wear it. How Many Shades Does the Daily Calm Balm Cream Foundation Come In?

The Makeup Balm comes in eight flexible shades, and I wear Light Medium 3 when I’m at my summer color. Because the coverage is sheer and the balm melts into the skin, there’s more wiggle room with the match than there would be with a traditional medium- or full-coverage foundation. It still gives me enough tint to take down my redness, but eight shades is a fairly tight lineup, and “flexible” can only stretch so far—especially at the deeper end of the range. Something to keep in mind: the foundation color looks much darker in person, so be wary when choosing your shade.

How Many Shades Does the Clinique Daily Calm Lip and Cheek Cream Come In?

The Lip + Cheek Color comes in six options: five tinted shades and Whisper, a completely translucent balm. Since the pigment is sheer and buildable, the colors adapt to the skin. Whisper is the sleeper hit for me: tapped onto the high points of the cheeks, it creates that glossy, editorial highlight that looks very glass-skin-esque. It’s the finishing touch for days when I want my skin to look healthy, and I'm not wearing much makeup. Of the tinted shades, my favorites are Tender Heart and Sweet Nectar—both give my lips and cheeks an easy flush. I am definitely a fan of using it as a blush, but personally, I love it for my lips most.

What Makes the Clinique Daily Calm Line Different?

All the Daily Calm line formulas center on Uniflavon, Clinique’s proprietary blend of Chinese skullcap root and moso bamboo leaf extracts. Chinese skullcap root helps calm the visible redness and irritation that come with sensitive skin, while moso bamboo leaf provides antioxidant support against the everyday stressors that wreak havoc on the skin barrier.

From there, the two makeup formulas go in slightly different directions. The Makeup Balm pairs Uniflavon with soothing magnolia, glycerin, and sodium hyaluronate, all suspended in a silicone-and-wax base that melts over dry patches and creates that smooth, blurred finish. The Lip + Cheek Color is more cushy and emollient, with hyaluronic acid, olive-derived moisturizers, and vitamin E to keep it comfortable on both areas of the face.

How Should I Apply Clinique's Daily Calm Line?

Neither formula is made for a full-glam, high-coverage makeup day, which normally wouldn’t be my first choice—I like coverage. But when I use the Daily Calm lineup together, my skin looks less flushed and feels more settled before I even get to the makeup, so I don’t feel like I need to cover quite as much. The Makeup Balm is very lightweight, but it gives more coverage than you’d expect from something this sheer. It tones down my redness beautifully, and my skin feels like it can breathe.

I apply both formulas with my fingers, per the directions—the warmth helps melt the balms into the skin—then quickly go over it with a fluffy brush to make sure everything looks seamless down the neck. The Lip + Cheek Color starts off subtle, but it builds easily when I want more pigment. The final effect is super fresh and glowy—a perfect combination for summer.

Is the Clinique Daily Calm Makeup Collection Worth It?

For quite some time, Black Honey has felt like Clinique’s undisputed main character—and for good reason. It’s one of those rare products that still feels relevant decades later. But Daily Calm is the first launch in a while that, in my opinion, could give the brand another signature. The concept is smart, and the formulas feel genuinely considered.

This isn’t the collection I’d reach for when I have an event or need to glam it up, but that’s also not the point. It’s for the days when I want my redness toned down, my skin to look healthy, and everything underneath to feel calm and comfortable. It’s hard to believe Prince George is turning 13 on July 22. Not only will he be a teenager, but the future King will be leaving home to attend his father’s alma mater, Eton College, with George set to begin secondary school in early September. The elite boarding school, founded in 1440, is home to centuries of tradition, and apparently, one of their rules is right up “protective” Prince William and Princess Kate’s alley.

Per the Telegraph, first-year boys at Eton College aren’t permitted to have smartphones and can only use “a ‘brick phone’ for basic contact with their families.” While it might seem extreme for a teenager in today’s world, it won’t be a problem for George, who doesn’t have a cell phone anyway.

The Prince of Wales revealed his stance on technology for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis when he took part in Eugene Levy’s series The Reluctant Traveler last year. “None of our children have any phones, which we’re very strict about,” William told the actor.

However, Eton’s technology rule for new boys falls in line with William and Kate’s parenting strategy. Royal editor and author Russell Myers told the Telegraph that William and Kate are “extremely protective” of their children, but they also want Prince George to thrive in his new environment.

“William’s experience of Eton was a happy one, but both he and Catherine realize their children’s school lives may be considerably different in today’s world,” Myers shared.

While visiting Brazil for the Earthshot Prize last year, the Prince of Wales said he was considering getting a basic phone for George when he headed off to boarding school. “It is really hard. Our children don't have phones,” he told Brazilian TV host Luciano Huck, adding, “When George moves onto secondary school, maybe he'll have one with limited access.”

The Prince and Princess of Wales put on a united front when it comes to their kids and technology, with William explaining that they talk to George “and explain why we don't think it's right.”

“With full access, children end up seeing things on the internet that they shouldn't,” he said, admitting that “it's good for messaging” if the right controls are in place.

Now that George will be living away from home, it seems like that brick phone might get lots of use.

The YA genre tends to dominate lists of buzzy book-to-TV adaptations, but now and then, viewers crave a more mature adult romance. Thankfully, Peacock has already snapped up one of #BookTok's most beloved, complex love stories to bring it to screens.

Since 2022, author Kennedy Ryan has enthralled readers with emotional, breathtaking romances that also explore deeper issues like depression, grief, chronic illness, financial hardship, and caring for an aging parent. Now, several of these love stories may be headed to our TVs; in April 2026, Universal Studio Group announced a "first-look" deal with Ryan in which she can develop not only projects based on her own books, but also new original stories and adaptations from other authors. First up: a series based on her breakout novel Before I Let Go, which is in development at Peacock.

"Kennedy’s stories are deeply resonant and culturally impactful, and we are excited to collaborate on adaptations that honor her vision while connecting with audiences in bold, meaningful ways. Not only is she a celebrated and powerful voice in the literary space, but she leads with thoughtfulness and creativity. We can’t wait to work with her to bring these new and existing stories to life," Jordan Moblo, USG’s executive VP of creative acquisitions and IP management, said in a statement.

Before I Let Go, the first book in Kennedy Ryan's Skyland series, is a "scorching emotional second chance romance" about ex-spouses who can't help but be drawn back to each other.

With development underway, Universal is already building a dream team for Before I Let Go. In addition to serving as executive producer, Ryan is co-writing the series alongside Malcolm D. Lee, the writer and director behind the classic Black rom-com franchise The Best Man. Lee has also directed comedy films like Roll Bounce and Girls Trip, so Lee's a perfect fit for the material.

There will likely be more announcements for additional names joining the series as Ryan and Lee build out the show.

Prince George will celebrate his 13th birthday on Wednesday, July 22, and this fall, he’ll head away from home to follow in his father’s boarding school footsteps at Eton College. Although George will be the same age as Prince William was when he enrolled at Eton, their lives couldn’t be more different, as royal experts and sources close to the Wales family have revealed.

As the first heir to the throne to be raised in a world with social media, George’s time at Eton will certainly look different than his father’s. But when he arrives in the historic town, George will have the benefit of a stable family to come back to in Windsor—a much different familial situation than the one William found himself in as a teenager.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, royal journalist and biographer Robert Jobson said that “the difference is everything,” when it comes to George’s home life and his father’s.

When Prince William started his boarding school journey in 1995, Prince Charles and Princess Diana were separated, making for an awkward photo call with the family. George, however, will have the support of a united family when the Waleses pose for similar photos at the start of term.

“William walked into Eton carrying his parents’ marital war,” Jobson said. “George walks in from a settled home.”

However, life hasn’t been without its challenges for George, who was there to cheer on the Princess of Wales when she recently completed the National Three Peaks climbing challenge to support the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

“He has not been spared pain,” Jobson noted. “He watched his mother fight and beat cancer. He watched his grandfather live with it. He has emerged steadier.”

Although Prince George is “aware of his future,” as friends of William and Kate's tell the Telegraph, the soon-to-be teenager is also “incredibly down to earth.”

More than any other season, there is something so nostalgic about summer jewelry. It ties into core memory moments like making jewelry at a summer camp or grabbing a piece as a souvenir on a family vacation. But this childlike playfulness seeps into summer jewelry style even as an adult.

Shells, colorful beads, whimsical shapes, cord, and ribbons sneak into jewelry stacks that would otherwise be, well, a little boring. It’s just a time to have fun with jewelry.

Perhaps it’s the fleeting amount of opportunities to bask in the sun that leads to carefree style experiments, but I find that I’m constantly switching up my jewelry and my style overall into these little jewelry “capsules” that I wear on repeat for three solid months and sometimes into early fall if it feels right.

Necklaces seem to be what I switch up the most. I like to keep my same gold hoops in since switching out earrings takes a toll on my piercings, and I wear a watch every day, so I keep my wrists light, but necklaces are such an easy way to show off my creativity and styling by building different layers and combinations.

My three favorite pieces I’ve been wearing a ton so far and will likely continue to even as temperatures drop are: a statement shell necklace, dark pearls, and a whimsical ceramic pendant. Here’s why I’ve been loving these shapes and how I highly recommend adding them into your summer jewelry rotation.

A Shell Statement Necklace

As someone who spent their formative years at the boardwalk each summer, I’m no stranger to a shell necklace, though mine were mainly of the puka shell strand variety. Shell jewelry has always been a part of my summer style vocabulary, so I’m thrilled to see there are so many more options these days.

While I love beachy strands for layering, this summer I’ve been drawn to a more dramatic shell statement, like this one from Loren Hope. I love the monochromatic peachy tones, the width of the beads, and the large cowrie shell as the anchor of the piece. It’s a great stand-alone necklace to add as the finishing touch to an easy summer dress, but it can also be layered with a chunky gold necklace for extra impact.

I prefer to keep it simple and easy by wearing it on its own since that’s what a summer evening outfit formula for me is all about: dress, statement necklace, shoes and bag, and of course, wet hair that will dry in transit.

A Dark Pearl Strand

I love pearls as a “beaded” element to add to summer stacks, especially if they are of unique shape and interesting color. Think less classic and more Ariel in The Little Mermaid.

Pearls in darker shades like green or blackish blues especially have been feeling extra mermaid-y to me, and I have found surprisingly that, just like their timeless white counterpart, they really do go with everything. I bought this one-of-a-kind strand of green pearls from Lazuli as a Mother’s Day treat to myself, and I’ve been wearing it almost every day since. I like to layer it with my daily gold charm necklace and maybe another long pendant if I’m feeling fun, and pair this combo with everything from beachwear to a printed slip dress for nights out. The green hue feels just so right for right now, but I absolutely think it will work all year long when darker hues and sweaters come back into play.

A Playful Ceramic Pendant

I rarely get hooked by an impulse buy, but the second I saw this Bombolla necklace on a creator's page, I immediately felt influenced and smashed “add to cart” so fast it made my head spin. But I do not regret it at all! I got one for me, and one for my little sister, and my three-year-old son loves to call it “so cute” every time I wear it, which is an adorable bonus feature. It’s the kind of whimsy that you can really get away with in summertime jewelry, and I love the feel of the slick glaze on the handmade ceramic piece between my fingers. The adjustable cord is also key for layering, but I love to wear it long over a tee or a bathing suit. And it really is just “so cute”.

A huge milestone is ahead for Prince George, who will be heading to boarding school at Eton College this fall. But until then, George—who will turn 13 on Wednesday, July 22—has the rest of the summer to enjoy with the Royal Family. Sources close to Prince William and Princess Kate have described the soon-to-be teenager as “incredibly down to earth,” per the Telegraph, and before he started secondary school, George approached his parents with an idea.

It seems Prince George, who has attended Lambrook School with siblings Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis since they moved to Windsor in 2022, wanted to get a jump start on living at school.

“He asked them if he could board weekly at Lambrook,” royal author and journalist Robert Jobson told the Daily Mail, adding that the Prince and Princess of Wales “agreed.”

“It helped him grow, to be part of a collective,” Jobson continued.

The Prince of Wales revealed that George occasionally boards at Lambrook in an interview with Britain's Heart Radio in May. “Charlotte and Louis—because George is boarding last night—Charlotte and Louis, if you're listening, make sure you're on time, please, make sure you're not fighting over who listens to what, this morning,” he said during the radio show.

Like his father, Prince George will board full-time at Eton College until he heads off to university. Gap x Victoria Beckham and Old Navy x Christopher John Rogers, watch out: Target teamed up with New York-based designer Rosie Assoulin to give competition in the maximalist, dopamine-dressing department. On July 24, a rainbow of summer 2026 color trends will transform your local Target into the world of Rosie Assoulin, a CFDA Award winner known for bright colors, whimsical patterns, and bold nautical stripes.

According to a press release, Assoulin designed airy maxis, joyful matching sets, woven beach bags, and ribbon-adorned sandals to "bring personality to everyday dressing."

If you're drawn to Rosie Assoulin's smile-inducing pinstripes, gingham, and color-blocking looks, now's your chance to buy a piece from the New York-based brand on a budget. In true Target style, most women's ready-to-wear styles from the Target x Rosie Assoulin line are shoppable for under $50. For comparison, a cotton poplin shirtdress design from the brand starts at $650.

The designer, who had internships at Oscar de la Renta and Lanvin before launching the label in 2013, has long been celebrated for her more-is-more POV. This spills over to the Target collection, which features bright hues like cobalt blue, poppy red, and lemon yellow.

Her artful approach to print is also present in the offering. Nowhere is that more clear than in the campaign, which shows a model styled in a green matching set with a multicolored graphic bandeau underneath.

Other noteworthy apparel details include contrasting hems. A striped two-piece gets a thick blue stripe on the peplum waistline and pants. Meanwhile, a lemon floor-grazing strip makes a maxi dress's butter yellow gingham even brighter.

The collection also features accessories, including flip-flop sandals with oversized striped ribbon straps and raffia handbags that beg to be whisked away on vacation.

“My favorite thing about this collection—and all of Rosie’s work—is her ability to pair bold silhouettes, expressive color and an unmistakable point of view with pieces that feel effortless to wear," Tara Russell, senior vice president of apparel and accessories at Target, said in the press release. "It captures the optimism and ease of late summer while giving guests fresh, designer-inspired style they can make their own long after the season ends.”

Target x Rosie Assoulin marks the Brooklyn native's first foray into select home decor products. So while patterned two-pieces will light up your summer closet, striped towels and mix-and-match dishware will keep the compliments coming in your kitchen.

That's not to say Rosie Assoulin is a stranger to the lifestyle category. Back in 2020, she created watercolor-style journals, pens, and pencils with stationery label Papier. She also regularly reunites with Palm Beach-based brand J. Logan Home on home pieces only available at pop-ups.

Beyond the home decor department, Rosie Assoulin has previously partnered with Allbirds to create unisex slides; with Sergio Rossi on colorful ballet flats; and with Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop on chambray and poplin pieces. With this latest partnership, the designer is joining Target's long list of luxury and New York-based collaborators, including Kate Spade, Diane von Furstenberg, LoveShackFancy, and Missoni.

Hello! Style Director Sara Holzman here. Senior fashion news editor Halie LeSavage handed me The A-List Edit keys this week, and I couldn’t think of a more fitting topic for the middle of a July heat wave than the one dress I’ve been reaching for on repeat.

Summer strips fashion down to its essentials. Once the temps climb into the 90s, there’s nowhere to hide behind clever layering or a great coat. The clothes either work—or they don’t. Even celebrities start making practical decisions.

Yes, summer celebrity style means Birkins swinging through the Hamptons, vintage jewelry sparkling on the Italian Riviera, and yacht wardrobes photographed from every possible angle. But beneath all the high-impact looks, I’ve noticed that the best-dressed rely on remarkably simple clothes. Lately, that means the babydoll dress.

It’s airy, unfussy, and far easier to wear than its overly sweet reputation suggests. You throw one on, add a great pair of shoes, and never regret the decision. Maybe that's why celebrities can't stop wearing them. It's certainly why I've been living in mine.

The Baby Doll Dress, Without the Baby Talk

Anyone who knows me knows I am not a jeans person. Stiff denim and a 100-degree subway platform are simply not a combination I’m interested in exploring, which is why dresses make up most of my warm-weather wardrobe.

The babydoll, though, is not a one-look-fits-all proposition. Olivia Rodrigo leans into its youthful edge in Sandy Liang and Chloé, while Elle Fanning makes it feel refined in Chanel. It can channel Courtney Love's '90s grunge just as easily as it can feel clean, minimal, or romantic. Few trends have appealed to women with such wildly different personal styles—which may be why the babydoll dress survives every fashion cycle.

The difference usually comes down to the shoes. Celebrities are grounding theirs with slim flip-flops, Mary Jane pumps, and even combat boots—anything that adds a little friction to the dress’s more innocent reputation. The silhouette may look specific, but it gives you plenty of room to make it your own.

How I Style It

I almost never wear this white Merlette dress without someone stopping me to ask where it's from. The tiered cotton creates beautiful movement, while the knee-length hem keeps it from feeling overly precious. I styled it with leather fisherman sandals to ground all that volume, plus an easy summer tote, gold jewelry, sunglasses, and a striped knit thrown over my shoulders for overzealous air conditioning.

That's what I love about the babydoll dress: Rihanna, Sabrina Carpenter, and I couldn't style it more differently, yet the silhouette somehow works for all of us.

This Bernadette dress is my case for investing in one really beautiful babydoll dress. I wore it to a daytime garden party with Roger Vivier kitten heels, but I'd pack it just as quickly for a cocktail wedding with a chic black blazer thrown over the shoulders and an embellished clutch. Personally, I love it with a delicate shoe, but it could just as easily go in another direction with a mesh flat, a penny loafer, or—even if you're feeling bold—a combat boot.

Not many people can claim to still be at the top of their career after decades in the entertainment industry, but Christina Aguilera is one of the few who can. The Dirrty singer has spent decades in the spotlight as a vocalist, actor, and entrepreneur, and if you’ve long been a fan, you’d know that many of her eras are marked by some rather dramatic hair changes.

​While her signature color was (and remains) blonde, the singer has been seen in everything from jet black to bright red over the years, even playing with different lengths and haircut styles in the process. Aguilera’s hair has gone through its own journey throughout her career, which is why she says partnering with Nexxus made so much sense.

The biggest surprise at the 2026 World Cup Final was the shortage of soccer jerseys in VIP suites. Everyone from Beyoncé to Kylie Jenner traded Team Spain or Team Argentina shirting for summer's biggest essentials: capri pants, Bermuda shorts, etc. Once Spain won, Kaia Gerber's '90s-inspired little black dress continued the tournament's no-jersey trend at Hailey and Justin Bieber's after-party.

Gerber arrived at New York City's The Corner Store looking like a '90s supermodel. Her spaghetti-strap slip dress, leather shoulder bag, and black ballet flats doubled as style portals to an era known for its fashion-forward restraint. On paper, Gerber's LBD wasn't all that different from Bieber's vintage Dior design. Both micro-minis featured delicately slim straps and thigh-sweeping hemlines. However, while Bieber's featured a lingerie-inspired lace trim, Gerber's dress boasted a minimalist rectangular sheer strip along the square neckline.

To finish her post-World Cup outfit, Gerber accessorized with Gucci's best-selling Jackie 1961 Bag and the ballet flats she designed with Parisian footwear label Repetto. Recognize the suede block-heel styles? This year, Gerber hasn't stopped styling them—with jeans outfits, timeless trench coats, and Chanel's Maxi Flap Bag. This latest look further proves that they truly work with everything in the L.A. model's closet.

Back in the '90s, LBDs with the same blend of elegance and ease were a Cindy Crawford Classic; at the time, the supermodel had an affinity for flirty hemlines and risqué straps. Crawford even walked a few runways while wearing LBDs. (See the semi-sheer slip she modeled during a Todd Oldham fashion show in 1997 that's not a far cry from Gerber's look.)

Gerber has often drawn style inspiration from her supermodel mother, and Crawford is no stranger to loaning her 24-year-old daughter a look from her archives, either. For the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, Gerber wore Crawford's Hervé Léger bandage dress from the 1993 Oscars.

For years, I considered myself firmly anti-music festival. It wasn't that I didn't love live music or the idea of seeing so many of my favorite artists in one place—that couldn't be further from the truth. I'm just the type of girl who prefers a hotel over camping and a stadium show over spending all day outside in the elements. Or so I thought.

That all changed when I had the chance to attend Coachella earlier this year. Being in the desert with thousands of other fans, discovering new artists, and putting together a chic festival outfit felt like a true escape from reality—and I’ve been chasing that high ever since.

So when Motorola invited me to experience Lollapalooza with them, it was a no-brainer. Deciding what to wear, though? That was a little more complicated.

While searching for outfit ideas, I quickly learned that Lollapalooza has a style all its own. Between the jam-packed lineup and the Chicago heat, Lolla-goers often prioritize function, while still bringing that signature festival flair. Countless TikToks and Pinterest boards later, I came to the conclusion that the inspiration I was searching for could be found in the lineup itself.

Headliners like Lorde, Charli XCX, Zara Larsson, and Olivia Dean all have such strong aesthetics, giving me the perfect jumping-off point. Like any good Zillennial, I'll take every excuse to relive the early 2000s, so I'm planning to channel major pop star energy with my looks. Think Y2K-inspired sunnies, stacks of bangles, and even the born-again icon: the Motorola razr.

For fashion girls like Dakota Johnson, white tank tops are as foundational to a summer look as sunscreen. Camis are relatively wallet-friendly, lightweight during heatwaves, and beyond easy to wear in a minimalist, fresh-from-the-'90s way. On July 18, Johnson demonstrated as much in an under-$100 tank and her favorite 2026 flats trend.

Apart from Taylor Swift's wedding earlier this month, Johnson has been relatively absent from the season's style circuit. (The paparazzi hasn't spotted her in an off-duty outfit this casual since she tested the barn jacket trend in late April.) This weekend, the always-fashionable actor made up for lost time in a square-neck tank top, paired with straight-leg jeans and the high-vamp ballet flats trend.

Johnson sourced the white top from Leset, the L.A.-based brand beloved by Jennifer Lawrence, Kendall Jenner, Lily Collins, and more. Johnson previously styled tank tops from the elevated-basics labels while filming Materialists, the Celine Song-directed film in which she played a New York matchmaker.

The high-rise jeans were vintage Levi's, though in a brighter wash than we've come to expect from the dark denim advocate.

While Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber prefer the straight-leg trend, too, if photographers captured either of the It girls in the denim silhouette, they would have likely paired them with the flip-flops trend. Because it's Johnson, though, high-vamp flats elevated her errands outfit instead. Known for its elongated, loafer-length uppers, the style has become one of summer's biggest footwear trends (and a celebrity favorite).

Johnson chose Phoebe Philo's Gathered Flats, which feature perfectly rounded toes and a glossy leather garnish that has additionally won over Rihanna, Tracee Ellis Ross, Bieber, and Jennie Kim earlier this year. Johnson's look was completed with a vintage Celine bowling bag, cat-eye Krewe sunglasses, and Toteme's take on the pendant necklace trend.

This season, Johnson is one of many VIPs to pair classic tank tops with shoe trends to covet. Dua Lipa's peep-toe pumps from Christian Louboutin spiced up her all-white jeans outfit; Gigi Hadid's slouchy tank from Prada looked as effortless as her Mary Janes; and Katie Holmes dressed up her slightly sheer top with Chanel cap-toe slingback heels.
