There's no rulebook for recovering from the Olympics. Some athletes went straight into hibernation after the 2026 Winter Games. Chinese-American Olympian Eileen Gu, on the other hand, traded her freestyle skis for Fashion Month-friendly stilettos. Just two weeks after Gu's last gold medal-winning slope, she landed in Chanel's Fall 2026 front row.

When Gu isn't breaking athletic records (she's the most decorated freestyle skier in Olympics history), she's making waves on the fashion front. Don't get it twisted: She's no newbie to Fashion Month, having made her debut in 2019. But on March 9, Matthieu Blazy's third womenswear show broke her longest Paris Fashion Week hiatus. Her last appearance was beside Louis Vuitton's Fall 2024 runway two years ago.

The 22-year-old looked right at home alongside Margot Robbie, Oprah Winfrey, Teyana Taylor, and more in the front row. She, like Taylor, sourced Blazy's Métiers d'Art Spring 2026 collection for Look 57's matching skirt set. The long-sleeve cardigan and thigh-grazing mini skirt evoked the elegance of traditional Chanel suits. However, winding black-and-white tweed modernized the brand's signature.

Interlocking "Cs" traded places with cascading letter buttons that spelled out "Chanel." Fuzzy black tweed atop each pocket, cuff, and hem juxtaposed the otherwise polished two-piece. To finish, the athlete traded the Métiers d'Art model's brown briefcase for a black-and-white clutch to match her cap-toe pumps.

Growing up in a "very male-dominated sport" left Gu wondering what the "intersection of femininity and sport" could look like. Attending her first Paris Fashion Week [in 2019] changed everything: "I don't have to sacrifice the athletic part of myself in order to also appreciate the incredible complexity in the fashion industry," she shared on The Burnouts podcast last June.

Gu's also a model in her free time, starring in campaigns for Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., and more. This season, however, she put on her spectator hat. On Feb. 22, four days after the Milano Olympics wrapped, Gu stayed put in Italy for Prada's Fall 2026 show. She arrived in a short-sleeve midi dress, accessorized with gray socks, pointy slingback pumps, and Prada's $2,850 Mini Bonnie Bag.

The matching blazer on top made her "feel really fierce and powerful," she told WWD after the show. Beyond her own front-row 'fit, she was drawn to the Fall 2026 fête's production: "I think the layout was so cool, having the models walk and then changing the outfits so you could really see the layering going on." By March 3, Gu arrived in Paris for the French Met Gala equivalent: Le Grande Dîner du Louvre. She—and fellow athletes A'ja Wilson and Suni Lee—reached the sartorial bar set by Anya Taylor-Joy, Diane Kruger, and Alexa Chung, and then some. The wings on her Iris Van Herpen Couture gown marked an extravagant shift from her Prada picks. But she's used to flying on the ski slope.

With looks at Prada, Chanel, and Le Grande Dîner under her belt, it's clear Gu's style streak is only going uphill from here.

After a week of styling TV-friendly outfits for her 2026 Winter Olympics series, "Megan Takes Milan," Megan Thee Stallion is back to her regularly-scheduled programing. That is, she's wearing sultry looks one wrong move away from a wardrobe malfunction. On February 23, the day after the Milan Cortina Games' closing ceremonies, the Grammy winner posed in an itty-bitty cardigan and an even riskier skirt, which quite literally hung on by a thread.

Megan's exact zip code remains a mystery, but her skin-baring set suggests she's soaking up some post-Olympics solo time in 60° Fahrenheit Milan. Stylist Isiah Ahmad kept the patriotic, Team USA picks coming with Thom Browne's $2,050 Argyle Cardigan. Spring 2026's trending argyle print decorated the cardigan's bust and three-quarter-length sleeves, before the brand's red, white, and blue stripes lined its ultra-cropped hem.

If you thought her Thom Browne knit was flirty, you obviously haven't scrolled to her mini skirt. The "Hiss" rapper wrapped a sarong-style midi skirt from Vietnamese label Fanci Club around her waist like a bath towel.

Instead of securing the skirt's corset-inspired lacing, Megan let it dangle knot-free. That way, the $380 statement piece went from a hip-high side slit to a full-on leg reveal. Khaki-colored laces and grommets punctured the knee-grazing skirt's other side, too. A fold-over waistband made the low-rise style slouch even further—a saucy embellishment this performer would never turn down.

In addition to the $2,050 argyle sweater, Thom Browne loaned Megan a silhouette even more synonymous with the luxury house: a dog-shaped top-handle bag named Hector. Gray, charcoal, and white plaid stretched from the dachshund's floppy ears to its perked-up tail.

Red carpet fanatics know Thom Browne well, but Megan Thee Stallions' skirt comes from a newer brand. If you're unfamiliar with Fanci Club, allow Marie Claire to introduce you to fashion's current destination for A-list going-out clothes. Just last year, the six-year-old brand added Dua Lipa, Doechii, Kylie Jenner, Bella Hadid, and Ice Spice to its roster. (Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter discovered Fanci Club's corset-centric styles as early as 2022.) Even so, not one It girl has publicly pulled off Megan Thee Stallion's barely-there mini skirt. Perhaps with a bit of encouragement from Hot Girl Meg, that'll change soon.

Everyone wants to know if Simone Biles will compete at the 2028 Olympics: "We'll see," she told The Today Show on February 18. But in worrying about the next Summer Games, fans risk icing out her spectator style at the 2026 Winter Olympics. That same day, the Olympian carried a Hermès Kelly around Milan, and simultaneously championed a Nike-led 2026 sneaker trend.

Biles and her husband, Jonathan Owens, have been in Milan since Feb. 13. Their appearances have been limited to the figure skating stands so far, but the couple finally played tourists on day five of their trip. Biles, for one, looked every bit an off-duty athlete in black leggings and a matching oversize turtleneck. Even her sneakers—the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 model—could've been plucked from a current competitor's locker. Though her brand ambassadorship reportedly ended before the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, she can't deny Nike's street style potential.

The $170 Zoom Vomero 5s—featuring chunky two-tone soles, plastic cage-like sidewalls, and ventilated heels—date back to 2010. However, Biles's light gray "Photon Dust" color debuted as recently as Feb. 2024. Nike's signature Swoosh comes in metallic silver, which stands out against the gray uppers and black-and-white soles.

Biles's last major Nike styling moment arrived at her April 2023 wedding, when she had white Air Force Ones bedazzled with pearls and gold rhinestones. Her Hermès Kelly, on the other hand, is as much a frequent flyer as she is. Last month, the top-handle Kelly 25—in black with palladium hardware—was spotted beneath her seat at a Chicago Bulls basketball game.

The gymnast's husband stayed home, meaning the five-figure find won "most recognizable bag in the stands" by a landslide. (Similar styles sell secondhand for upwards of $28,000.) Meanwhile in Milan, Owens wore a rare Goyard messenger bag. Its top-flap, coated canvas exterior boasted the label's signature white and brown chevrons. Former Vice President Kamala Harris styled the same print on a Goyard Saint Louis tote on Feb. 17.

The Milan Cortina Olympics will be over before you know it (Feb. 22 marks the final competitions). Since Hermès doesn't exactly offer gym-ready duffles, Kelly-carrying athletes may be harder to come by. One thing to know about me: I'm an Olympics fanatic. So, when my husband and I secured tickets to a few of the Winter Game events in Cortina, we decided to make a full trip to Milan and London out of it. It's a pinch-me moment, for sure, but it's also a lesson in strategic packing—all in all, it'll be 20 straight days of travel and living out of my suitcase.

Everything I'm bringing, from my faux-fur earmuffs to my sporty track jackets, comes from one of three of my favorite retailers: Nordstrom, Net-a-Porter, and Revolve. There are a few on-theme items, though I'm not necessarily a patriotic dresser. (I have found subtle ways to incorporate red, white, and blue into my rotation via navy Ralph Lauren sweaters and red anorak-style outerwear.) The rest of my wardrobe is pretty basic—and I mean that in a good way: I've learned from years of traveling with only a carry-on that you can't go wrong packing pieces in neutral hues that play well together. So, my suitcase includes lots of black and gray cashmere sweaters, white T-shirts, my go-to jeans from Agolde, and other outfit building blocks I can mix and match for weeks.
