"Did we cook? I don’t even know what we did," Blanco recalled. "But towards the end of the date, we were just sitting in the living room on the couch. And we were playing We’re Not Really Strangers. And there was a thing where it said, 'Take a selfie with the person next to you.'"

Blanco explained that during the card game they "were already kind of, like, lounging," but Gomez "got right on my chest and took a selfie." He knew then that it was time to make a move. "I just looked at her, and said, oh, I gotta kiss this girl. And I kissed her right away."

It sounds romantic, but the moment took a turn when Gomez broke out in a rash. "Right away, her heart started being so quickly, and she started getting a rash on her face," Blanco continued. Host Lennie Ware asked, "She wasn't allergic to you?" To which the 37-year-old replied sarcastically, "I was so disgusting and repulsive."

Gomez was just nervous and excited.

"I hadn’t liked anyone in a very long time," she explained. "So some kisses are for fun, and then when you feel something behind a kiss, it’s completely different. I’d been alone for about five years with the exception of a few shitty dates here and there, but never felt that way."

Selena Gomez is a foodie, but her nickname from fiancé Benny Blanco is still pretty unexpected. Gomez, meanwhile, said that she simply calls Blanco, "babe, love, honey."

It makes sense that Blanco—whose real name is Benjamin Levin, by the way—would want to keep Gomez's name private when texting or calling her in front of others. She is super famous, after all. Plus, the two took steps to keep their relationship a secret at first, including dressing in disguises on their favorite date.

In March, as part of the Spotify series "Countdown To", Gomez and Blanco filmed conversations between themselves about their relationship and their joint album, I Said I Love You First.

"When I think of our best date ever is, like, when we were first dating and we were still keeping it super secret, I remember I was like, 'Lets go to the Santa Monica Pier,'" Blanco recalled. It was Benny Blanco's special day, but he decided to make it all about Selena Gomez. In an interview with Jennifer Hudson, Blanco shared that he chose to make his recent birthday party prom-themed, because his fiancée never attended prom as a teenager. Meanwhile, this marked Blanco's third time at the high school dance.

"Selena had never been to a prom before, so I thought I’d throw us a prom for my birthday," Blanco said on the April 7 episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show.

Gomez and Blanco recently released their album, I Said I Love You First, so the engaged couple have been sharing a lot about their relationship in interviews together. On the SiriusXM show TikTok Radio, Gomez was asked about working with Blanco on the album, which is her first since 2020's Rare. Gomez shared that she was "stuck musically" and that it was "wonderful" to work with her music producer fiancé.

"He did an incredible job, and I respect him so much, and he just has excellent taste," the 32-year-old singer said. "Telling him my stories, and him telling me about his past and his stories, it was really special, so we combined it and made an album."

Host Chris Olsen is noted that collaborating in this way is not something that most couples get to do, and it must have helped them become even closer.

"It’s Benny’s confidence," Gomez responded. "That kind of energy is so addictive to be around." She added, "I just love him, that’s all."

Gomez and Blanco—who announced their engagement in December 2024—have both been very outspoken with praise for one another. In a joint interview with Interview magazine in February, Blanco said of Gomez, "She’s like my fucking heroin and Xanax combined. But, that doesn't mean they can't also look forward to the future. As reported by People, in a joint interview with the Jay Shetty Podcast, Gomez and Blanco talked about whether they would like to have children together, and Blanco also shared the cute way that his fiancée always connects with kids when she meets them.

Blanco kicked off the kid conversation by saying that he hopes to share their new album, I Said I Love You First, with their future children.

"I just wanted a piece of music to be able to one day show our kids and be like, 'Look at this, look at this thing mommy and daddy made,'" the 37-year-old producer said. "I can’t believe it. It’s so cool to me. I don’t care what happens with it, I was just so excited to do this with the person I love and freeze a moment in time."

Gomez said of whether they plan to have children, "I don’t know what will happen, obviously, but I love children. I have an 11-year-old sister that I absolutely adore ... I love making [kids] laugh. They're just so sweet. So absolutely, when that day comes, I’m so excited for it."

Blanco went on to talk about how Gomez is "the ultimate level of shy" when they're around adults at parties, but when she meets children, she's way more interactive.

"She immediately goes to the kids and has these conversations for, like, hours with the kids," Blanco said. He believes her past as a child star is responsible for this trait.

"When you started doing this you were a kid and that was your way to connect to people, and I feel like you still feel like you have that obligation to connect with young kids," he said. "You shaped so many young people’s lives, whether it was Barney, or it was Wizards [of Waverly Place]. I feel like you’re still finding your way to do that."

Gomez has talked about her hopes of becoming a mother in the past. In a September 2024 interview with Vanity Fair, the Emilia Pérez star shared that she would not be able to carry a baby herself, but that it wouldn't stop her from being a parent.

"I haven’t ever said this, but I unfortunately can’t carry my own children," Gomez said. "I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s in jeopardy. That was something I had to grieve for a while." She did not go into details about which medical issues she was referring to, but she has been open about undergoing a kidney transplant in 2017 and about her lupus diagnosis.

"It’s not necessarily the way I envisioned it,” Gomez continued. "I thought it would happen the way it happens for everyone. [But] I’m in a much better place with that. It made me really thankful for the other outlets for people who are dying to be moms. I’m one of those people. I’m excited for what that journey will look like, but it’ll look a little different. At the end of the day, I don’t care. It’ll be mine. It’ll be my baby."

It's no secret that Selena Gomez collaborated closely with her fiancé Benny Blanco on her newest album, I Said I Love You First, but some fans think the Only Murders in the Building actress drew inspiration from at least one of her famous former loves for some of the tracks.

As fans absorbed I Said I Love You First, which dropped on Mar. 21, many were struck by lyrics that seem to reference Gomez's ex, Justin Bieber—particularly in the tracks "You Said You Were Sorry" and “How Does It Feel To Be Forgotten."

In "You Said You Were Sorry," Gomez sings about having very much moved on from an unnamed ex, singing in the song's pre-chorus, "Don't think about you / Happy without you / More now than I ever was."

In the chorus, she references a dream in which the unnamed ex apologized to her—something they never did IRL.

"But I had a dream / You said you were sorry, said you were sorry / Sorry for everything / That you put on me, that you put on me / Our eyes were bawling rain / We finally both forgave ya / I had a dream, that's all it was / Yeah, that was enough for me."

Bieber famously issued a different kind of indirect apology to Gomez in the form of his 2015 single "Sorry," which he eventually confirmed was at least "a little bit" about her.

Of course, even without the "Sorry" connection, fans wouldn't have to reach for reasons to think Gomez might have dreamed of an apology after the infamously tumultuous relationship, which began in 2010 when she and Bieber were both teenagers. After splitting for the first time in 2012, the pair's relationship was on-again and off-again for several years until they split for good in early 2018—just months before Bieber would go on to marry his now-wife, Hailey Bieber.

While "You Said You Were Sorry" earned praise for delivering what some fans saw as an important message about closure and letting go, the possibly Bieber-inspired lyrics in "How Does It Feel To Be Forgotten" are more biting.

The lyrics “You’re so embarrassing / Go cry when no one’s watchin’ / I can’t imagine it / How does it feel to be forgotten (Ah), forgotten? (Ah-ah)," in particular, sparked speculation about Bieber, who has been known to cry in posts on social media, as a possible muse.

As Page Six pointed out, other lyrics in the song seem to mirror lyrics from Gomez's 2020 song "Look at Her Now," which was also believed to be about her breakup with Bieber. The "Look at Her Now" comparison is strongest in "How Does It Feel To Be Forgotten's" pre-chorus, when Gomez sings, “‘Cause you walked in, big-ass grin / Talkin’ like we’re friends, honey, what were you thinkin’? / He loves me, I love him / Look at you, just look at you now."

Gomez hasn't commented on the speculation that Bieber inspired some of the lyrics in her new music, but she and Blanco made it clear before the album dropped that I Said I Love You First would cover events before they met.

"This album came together organically as a direct result of the comfort that they both felt when working together creatively, allowing them to produce art that authentically reflects their experiences," a press release shared ahead of the drop date said (per People). "It chronicles their entire story—before they met, falling in love and looking to what the future holds."

A lot of people witnessed one of Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's early dates without even realizing it. As part of the Spotify series "Countdown To", Gomez and Blanco filmed conversations about their personal lives and about putting together their joint album, I Said I Love You First. At one point—while driving around in a retro convertible—the engaged couple talked about their "best date ever", which involved wearing disguises so they could have a fun day without anyone recognizing them.

"But when I think of our best date ever is, like, when we were first dating and we were still keeping it super secret, I remember I was like, 'Lets go to the Santa Monica Pier.' And you were like, 'We can’t go to the Santa Monica Pier.' And I was like, 'Well, what if we dress up in disguises?'"

Gomez added that disguises "usually never work," but they tried out the plan anyway because, as Blanco put it, "We were so scared of people finding out about us."

It turned out to be a great success, as both musicians happily reminisced. (Unfortunately, they didn't share what their disguises involved.)

"I remember having so much fun being with you, because we could just fully let go and not worry about anything else," Blanco said. "We rode the Ferris wheel. We got corn dogs and cotton candy."

"It was so cute," Gomez agreed. "I'm not going to lie, sometimes the disguise thing is so stupid, but in this case it actually worked, which was crazy. I really didn’t care, I was so happy, I was in a state of ecstasy. It was so fun."

Also in the "Countdown To" video, Blanco and Gomez talked about how they started dating in the first place. It happened around the time that they were working together on her 2023 song "Single Soon", which Blanco produced. Blanco shared that initially, he wanted to set her up with one of his friends, but he soon realized that she had a crush on him and that he felt the same way.

Early on, when they were flirting via text, Gomez sent him photos of herself that she found unattractive on purpose.

"It was a joke, because I was like, 'Oh, I look shitty in the photo,' so I sent you all the worst pictures of myself,'" Gomez explained. Blanco responded, "I liked it."

"What girl would send the ugliest photos of themselves to someone they like?" the Emilia Pérez actor went on. "The love of my life would," Blanco answered. Yep, you can really see how these two ended up together.

In a lot of couples, there's one person who likes to be on time and one person who is somehow always late. It sounds like Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have that same dynamic. Celebs, they're just like us! Well, except that the events they're heading to are hosted by Taylor Swift. Ahead of their new album, I Said I Love You First, Gomez and Blanco filmed conversations between themselves for Spotify's "Countdown To" series. In one conversation, they talked about getting to one of Swift's parties on time, which actually meant too early.

"What was our first party we ever went to?" Blanco asked Gomez. “I don’t know if this was the first, but it was actually really funny. As a couple we went to Taylor's party after some awards show," the 32-year-old singer responded.

"I don’t know, it was kind of cute, but I was mortified," Gomez continued. "Apparently, cool people don’t show up to parties on time."

Gomez and Swift go way back, so it's hard to imagine that it would be that big of a problem to get to one of her parties early. In September 2024, Gomez told Vanity Fair, "She is really like a big sister to me." And when Gomez announced on Instagram that she was engaged to Blanco, Swift commented, "yes I will be the flower girl." So, maybe Gomez was just "mortified" because she was the reason her new boyfriend was at an event so early with no one else around.

Blanco explained that arriving early was not a one-time thing for himself and Gomez. "We’re the first people at every single party when I go with you," the 37-year-old music producer said. "You show up when, like, my mother shows up to a party."

Rather than reveal that she was embarrassed about the party faux pas, Blanco thought his fiancé was going to share another anecdote about the night.

"I thought you were going to talk about the fact that nobody knew we were dating and we were hiding the fact that we were dating," he said. "So we, like, didn't even touch each other or really look at each other."

Blanco and Gomez eventually made their relationship public and Instagram official in December 2023. A year later, they announced that they were engaged. And now, they have their new album coming out and a lifetime of events to show up to uncomfortably early.

Today, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have plenty of fans rooting for them, excited about their engagement, and looking forward to their wedding. In a new joint interview with Rolling Stone, Gomez and Blanco spoke about their upcoming album, I Said I Love You First (out March 21) and about their relationship, which is obviously the inspiration for the album. (Gomez was the one who said "I love you" first, by the way.)

The couple were asked about keeping their relationship private for the first six months that they were together and whether there were any times they thought about going public sooner, but held back.

"I definitely tried to keep it private for a while, because it’s a lot," Blanco responded. "I remember us having a conversation about whether we were going to keep dating or not. We just had to make sure, because she’s as big as it gets and it’s a big undertaking."

Basically, once you say you're dating Selena Gomez, that becomes A Thing, no matter how long you date after that.

"It’s not like you date someone for a few weeks and then you’re like, 'Oh, OK, bye,'" the 37-year-old producer continued. "So we just took it slow. Then it started becoming such a hard thing, because it was like, 'I don’t want to just have dinner inside with you and have all of our dates inside and we’re wearing a mask the entire date, and then we have to go hide in a car.'"

Blanco and Gomez made their relationship public on Instagram in December 2023. Gomez posted a photo of herself wearing a ring with a "B" on it in honor of her now-fiancé's name and a photo of them cuddling. Gomez recently sold that same ring—worth $3,000—to a fan for only $12 as part of her 12 Days of Really Rare Stuff countdown to the release of the album.

Gomez previously spoke out about feeling comfortable being more public about her relationship with Blanco than she has been with past relationships. Asked by The Hollywood Reporter in a November 2024 interview why she was sharing photos and videos of herself and Blanco, she responded, "I guess this is the safest I’ve ever felt in [a relationship], and I see a future with this person."

As for when that wedding will happen, Gomez explained that they are focused on the album for now.

"I genuinely feel like this is such a special time that we get to apply it to this album and really just pour our heart into it, and completely translate what we feel and bring it to the world," the 32-year-old actor and singer said. "That’s my main focus right now, at least."

Selena Gomez is the third most-followed person on Instagram with a whopping 421 million followers. So, there are a lot of people who would be interested in owning something of hers... like, say, a $3,000 diamond ring? As part of her 12 Days of Really Rare Stuff countdown to the release of her joint album with fiancé Benny Blanco, Gomez is giving away—or selling for really cheap, in some cases—12 sentimental items to lucky fans.

"I thought it would be fun to give away some ‘rare memories’ I've kept over the years every day until our album comes out," Gomez said in a March 9 Instagram video. The album, I Said I Love You First, will be released March 21.

In the Instagram video, the 32-year-old added that her "day one fans will know where to look" for the giveaways. The answer is her website, where each item is released along with links to sign up to enter for future items. She's also posted updates on Instagram.

The first piece of Really Rare Stuff released was a diamond ring with a B on it in honor of Blanco. Gomez posted a photo of herself wearing the ring in December 2023 to confirm her relationship with the music producer.

"For the first day of #12DaysOfReallyRareStuff, which is also a countdown to I Said I Love You First, it felt fitting to choose something that is a symbol of the start of our relationship," the description on Gomez's website reads. "This is the exact, real ring that I posted to my Instagram story in December 2023." It's now marked as "sold out" with the price showing that it went for $12.

According to Page Six, the ring was custom designed by Jacquie Aiche. It is reportedly worth $3,250 and includes .44 carats of pavé diamonds.

So far, Gomez has listed two other items. Day 2 was a giveaway of a signed handbag from her Coach collaboration. For this one, fans had a limited amount of time to submit entries to get the bag for free. One day three, a neon sign of a peach with the word "Fetish"—referring to her 2017 single of the same name—was sold for $10. "This has been on my wall for years, but I want one of you to have it," Gomez shared. "I know this song is special to so many of you, so I hope one of you hangs this neon sign somewhere special."

While Gomez will no longer have her "B" ring, she's probably just fine without it considering the major upgrade she got recently. In December, Gomez revealed that she and Blanco are engaged. Her marquise diamond engagement ring has been estimated to be worth around $250,000.

Gomez first mentioned her love for marquise diamonds in her 2015 song "Good for You." (I'm on my marquise diamonds/I'm a marquise diamond/Could even make that Tiffany jealous.) In an joint interview with Blanco for Interview magazine, Gomez said, "Ever since the 'Good for You' days—that was, gosh, so many years ago—that’s the diamond I’ve always dreamed of."

During the ceremony, the pop star was photographed wearing an off-the-shoulder Prada gown with an A-line silhouette. Dressed in Cinderella blue, she looked every bit the princess and, according to Gomez, that was the whole idea. In an interview, she told Variety that her dress "feels very Cinderella-like, so I thought I'd lean into that."

Balancing out the simple design, her stylist Erin Walsh accessorized with a heavy hand. Gomez wore a massive diamond statement necklace that felt reminiscent of a princess's tiara. The sparkling jewels were the perfect addition to her brand new marquise engagement ring. Pavé rings and whopping diamond studs completed the glamorous picture.

Naturally, the bride-to-be attended the award show arm-in-arm with her new fiancé, Benny Blanco. Doing justice to his name, Blanco was dressed stylishly in all-white. He looked every bit the groom in an ivory blazer and matching knit trousers.

The newly affianced couple spent December 25—the first day of Hanukkah, which fell on Christmas day this year—at prolific composer Benj Pasek's annual bash in New York, filled with some of the funniest, most talented people with whom I'd love to hang out.

Gomez can be seen decked out in a cozy, silver, snowflake-adorned pajama set alongside Blanco—complete in a monochromatic cream outfit—in Instagram shots from noted NYC chef and bestselling cookbook author Jake Cohen.

The pair weren't the only celebs in attendance: famous New York fixtures, such as Judy Gold, Debra Messing, Alex Edelman, Erin Lichy, and Adam Kantor (among many others) can be seen in the videos and photos from the party. In one clip, Debra Messing can be seen reciting a silly holiday story penned by the Emmy Award-winning comedian Edelman.

Even Nicholas Britell—the composer of the iconic Succession theme song—got in on the fun, playing a slightly more uptempo iteration of the popular tune.

At one point, Edelman and Pasek sang a riff on the classic Adam Sandler "The Chanukah Song," changing up the lyrics to say "so many Jews are in the showbiz—Selena Gomez isn't Jewish but her fiancé is!" before Cohen pans his camera to show the loved-up couple on the couch.

But as her promotional responsibilities for the Netflix movie musical wind down, I'm beginning to realize the tour coincided with a broader change in the way she's presenting herself to the world.

What really cinched it for me was the subtly layered lob haircut she debuted in late October, followed by her ongoing blazer-wearing hot streak. In other words, Gomez is in her billionaire style era. Evidently, that sophisticated girl boss vibe extends even to her date night beauty routine. On Wednesday, Nov. 20, the actor stepped out for an event at at San Vicente Bungalows in Los Angeles with her boyfriend of more than a year—music producer Benny Blanco—in tow. Her makeup took an atypical approach to date night glam, favoring a featherlight application of soft nude hues over the smoldering eyes and sculpted lips the Rare Beauty founder might have worn a year ago.

Gomez's longtime makeup artist Hung Vanngo has yet to share the details of her pared-back date night makeup, but I have some very good guesses as to which Rare Beauty products she might be wearing. Based on a tutorial shared to Rare Beauty's Youtube channel in September, along with a couple of breakdowns shared more recently to the brand's TikTok, her demi-matte base is most likely the work of Always An Optimist Pore Diffusing Primer layered beneath thin coats of Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer, Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer, and Positive Light Under Eye Brightener.

Dimension was added to her face with a touch of Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter, Warm Wishes Effortless Bronzer Stick in Bright Side, and Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in Worth, a dusty true rose shade she's known to wear often. After setting the look with a dusting of True To Myself Tinted Pressed Finishing Powder, she probably moved on enhancing her eyebrows with Brow Harmony Precision Pencil and Brow Harmony Flexible Lifting Gel.

The pop star's eyes were left largely unvarnished apart from a barely-there smudge of Perfect Strokes Longwear Gel Eyeliner at the corners and a combination of two peachy shades—Joy and Happy—from her Discovery Eyeshadow Palette buffed into her crease. Her lips seemed to be lightly defined with Kind Words Matte Lip Liner in Humble, then topped off with a swipe of Lip Soufflé Matte Cream Lipstick in Elevate, a light beige.

It was a decidedly more mature, pared-back approach to date night makeup. But I have to say, simplicity looks good on her.

Selena Gomez has found the right balance between being private and public in her love life with Benny Blanco.

The Only Murders in the Building actress just sat down with The Hollywood Reporter to chat about her new movie Emilia Pérez, and the interviewer asked her why she's felt comfortable sharing bits of her romance with the world despite striving to be a private person.

"I guess this is the safest I’ve ever felt in [a relationship], and I see a future with this person," Gomez explained. "And when you put a little bit out there, people are not as hungry to hunt you down. Like, if they hear something, they’re going to, but if you’re like, 'I did it,' they’re like, 'Oh, well there’s you, just going to Sushi Park.' But there’s so much of my relationship people don’t see, that’s just mine."

The Sushi Park reference was a callback to the previous question, which was about the photos of her and Blanco heading to the sushi spot, despite Gomez striving to stay as private as she can.

"But it’s because I really love that restaurant!" she explained, laughing. "But if you see, I’m like [pantomimes wrapping her face in a scarf]. I just try to not give them good ones sometimes; but other times, it’s part of the job and you just have to deal with it."

Presumably, Blanco actually goes to a Taco Bell outlet and buys a Mexican pizza for Gomez, but in his interview he also shared that he's partial to recreating the fast food chain's dishes from scratch.

"[I learned how to] recreate Taco Bell meat," he explained to People. "I've practiced a lot, and I think it's pretty indistinguishable now if you put them side by side. There's so many things you have to do. Part of the meat is kind of blended. It's disgusting, but it's delicious. I do it all from scratch."

For the record producer, cooking for your partner is a key aspect of being a "sexy gentleman," even if you're not particularly good at it.

"Even if you're terrible at cooking, [your partner will] like it because you did it," he shared. "Ask your partner what they want to eat. Don't try to cook them what you want to eat. If you don't know how to cook it—learn it."

It's so gratifying to see Gomez finally date someone who adores as much as the public does. And on the precipice of their one-year anniversary in December 2024, they've even started dressing alike.

Having finally wrapped simultaneous press tours for Emilia Pérez and Only Murders in the Building's fourth season, Selena Gomez stepped out in an outfit built around soft seasonal textures. Atop a pair of light wash jeans, the star layered a navy blue corduroy trench coat that evoked similar styles from Gabriela Hearst and Forte_Forte. With a camel brown fringe scarf looped around her neck, her new lob haircut was largely under wraps.

The gold Louis Vuitton insignia along the side of her shearling-lined beige clogs, however, was clearly visible. (Those slippers come from a past season, and I did manage to track down a pre-owned pair via Vestiaire Collective.) Evidently, designers aren't done co-opting the UGG boot renaissance, which began in 2018 but continues to crop up at fashion week season after season. Whether you decide to go for the original or splurge on a luxury dupe, though, Gomez is nonetheless giving us some very good UGG outfit inspiration.

Like the adoring boyfriend he is, Blanco matched Gomez in a pair of gray paisley print clogs from Bravest Studios, paired with patchwork sweatpants, a vintage Peanuts graphic T-shirt, and an ivory hoodie.

Personally, I love when couples start dressing alike. For some, it's a natural side effect of spending so much time together. Case in point: Gracie Abrams and Paul Mescal twinning in dark wash jeans and coordinating T-shirts last month. For others, like Zendaya and Tom Holland, it feels more like an intentional show of affection for one another. I haven't yet decided which couple style category Gomez and Blanco belong in, but I'll just say this: I can definitely imagine these two cooking breakfast on Christmas morning in matching flannel pajamas.

The sweet lovebirds showed off their impressive debut couples' costume on Instagram on Oct. 29. Gomez was Alice in Wonderland, in a light blue, silvery puffy tulle dress, patent white mary-janes with a black tip from Sézane, frilly white socks, a blonde wig, and a black bow headband by Jennifer Behr.

Blanco was right on theme as the Mad Hatter, complete with white face paint and wild makeup, a frizzy red wig, a shiny top hat, and a colorfully mismatched suit in completely the wrong size.

Other celebs who've made me chuckle or gasp in the past with their Halloween outfits include Kendall Jenner as a cucumber, Kim Kardashian and co. as the cast of Tiger King, and Kevin Hart as The Rock. VERY excited for what's in store over the coming days.

Selena Gomez' on-screen brother will always "have her back," by his own admission.

David Henrie, who starred as Justin Russo on the Disney Channel show where Gomez got her start, Wizards of Waverly Place, has opened up about meeting the Rare Beauty founder's boyfriend Benny Blanco for the first time—and it's safe to say he approves.

"He's such a nice guy. He’s super funny. I was cracking up the whole time," Henrie told E! News about the first time he met Blanco, on a double date with Gomez and Henrie's wife Maria Cahill. The actor spoke to the outlet while on set for the reboot Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, which he's producing—as is Gomez.

"We had a great dinner. We had some Italian food," Henrie continued. "He can order good food. He can order very good food."

This tidbit is unsurprising, given Blanco is a cookbook author, and has also bragged about his fried pickles being so tasty that they get him "laid" (not a euphemism).

"I trust Selena and I want her to be very happy," Henrie continued, further commenting on the romance. "She knows I have her back."

On Friday, Feb. 2, Gomez posted a candid photo of herself in bed to her Instagram stories and to the delight of her 429 million followers.

"Mornings with you," the Only Murders in the Building actress wrote on the photo of herself, appearing sans makeup and asleep under a very comfortable-looking, furry blanket.

Her new boyfriend was not in the photo Gomez shared, but was presumably close by since Selena tagged him in the post.

The singer and actress confirmed her relationship with the record producer in December, 2024, and since then has not necessarily been shy about her budding romance. (And why should she?!)

The pair attended the 2024 Emmys together, though they did not pose for photos as a couple while walking the red carpet. Gomez was, however, spotted introducing her new beau to her Only Murders in the Building co-stars, Martin Short and Steve Martin. The comedians are said to be father-type figures to Gomez, so that meet-and-great was anything but inconsequential.

Weeks prior to the Emmys, Gomez shared a behind-the-scenes photo of the couple kissing backstage at the Golden Globes.

According to Entertainment Tonight, those closest to the new couple believe they're witnessing the start of a "long-lasting relationship."

"Selena feels very at home and at ease with Benny," a source previously told the publication. "Their friends, family, and loved ones on both sides are all supportive and happy to see what they think could be an amazing and long-lasting relationship between the two of them."

Singer and actress Selena Gomez reportedly introduced her new beau, Benny Blanco, to her Only Murders in the Building co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short while the foursome attended the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday, January 15.

According to Page Six, Gomez walked up to Martin and Short to introduce them to her boyfriend, a music producer, on the Emmys red carpet. The outlet reports that everyone appeared "to be in pleasant moods," adding that "one photo even shows Martin smiling as he shakes Blanco's hand."

A Page Six source and witness to the meet-and-greet told the publication "everyone got along great."

A TMZ source told the publication that the foursome talked for "about five minutes" before heading into the event and taking their seats.

Martin and Short are reportedly "like father figures to Gomez," so meeting the boyfriend is a big, giant step forward in the couple's newfound romance.

Gomez and Blanco made their second red carpet appearance as a couple at the 2024 Emmys, though the pair did not stop to pose together in front of photographers and the press.

Earlier this year, the couple also attended the Golden Globes together. They did not stop to pose for the cameras during that event either, though later in the evening Gomez shared a picture of the couple sharing an intimate kiss to her Instagram Story.

"I won," Gomez wrote on the post.

Gomez made her relationship with Blanco Instagram official on December 7, 2023, when she raved about the producer in the comment section. She told a fan that Blanco is her "absolute everything" and said her new beau has treated her "better than any human being on this planet."

Recently, a source close to the singer told People that Gomez is "super happy and present" with and in her relationship with Blanco, who she collaborated with in 2019.

According to Entertainment Tonight, a source close to Gomez and Blanco says the singer "feels very at home and at ease with Benny."

"Their friends, family, and loved ones on both sides are all supportive and happy to see what they think could be an amazing and long-lasting relationship between the two of them," the source went on to tell the publication.

Who knows, maybe there are wedding bells in the couple's future!

Selena Gomez and her new beau, Benny Blanco, finally made their red carpet debut at the 2024 Emmy Awards on Monday. Despite both attending the Golden Globes (and seemingly sneaking off to make out in a supply closet), this was the first time they walked in together.

Or did they?

Their red carpet debut seems to have had a little bump in the road, as it appears that Blanco was escorted off the red carpet by security.

The incident was captured in a video posted by E! Entertainment on Instagram.

Blanco is seen entering with Gomez, wearing a dark blue trench coat and grey ensemble as she wears a stunning Oscar de la Renta dress. He then stands to the side as she gets ready and says something to her, blowing kisses to her as she goes.

But then Blanco seems to react to something said off-camera, and when the camera pans to him next, he appears to be escorted out of the area by security. However, Blanco does not seem to react angrily at this and walks willingly along.

Another shot does show the lovebirds speaking to actress Aubrey Plaza in the same area, so it is unclear whether this was before he had to leave or if he was allowed to return later.

Gomez and Blanco are later seen entering the venue and taking their seats together, so he wasn't removed from the event entirely.

What really happened here?

Without any audio to the video, we'll be left guessing until someone clarifies the matter. With Gomez taking a break from social media, it might be a while until this mystery is unraveled.

Well, it seems Gomez has no reason to miss Peltz Beckham any longer, as she and boyfriend Benny Blanco threw a pajama-themed party for Peltz Beckham’s 29th birthday, which was on January 9. In photos posted on Instagram yesterday, Gomez hosted guests at what appears to be her home, while Blanco provided the yummy food, People reports.

“I’m so grateful for all the beautiful and kind people in my life,” Peltz Beckham wrote on Instagram. “All my best friends surprised me for my birthday with a pj night and we played games (my heaven!). Thank you all so much for making me feel so loved. I love you all so much and thank you Benny for making the best food everrrr and you and Sel for hosting.”

In one of the photos, Gomez and Peltz Beckham embraced one another and were joined by Gomez’s younger sister, 10-year-old Gracie Elliott Teefy. All of the friends wore matching black pajamas with white trim, and other shots showed the expanded group present for the party (which really does sound heavenly). Other photos captured Peltz Beckham’s large birthday cake, which appeared to have an enlarged pink photo of her face displayed on top with light pink iced roses along the sides and a plaque that read “Happy Birthday Nicola.”

In an Instagram Story shared by Peltz Beckham from her party, guests sang the customary “Happy Birthday” to her while gathered in the kitchen as Gomez lit her birthday cake. “I love you guys so much,” Peltz Beckham captioned the clip. “Omg I’m so awkward,” she added, jokingly. 

Gomez’s hosting duties with boyfriend Blanco comes one week after the pair made their debut as a couple at the 2024 Golden Globes. (They confirmed their romance just last month.)
