She said goodbye to her naturally wavy strands for a sleek, pin-straight style, which she then styled with a middle part. The simple technique highlighted how much her bangs have grown, especially since unveiling her octopus cut back in January. Her makeup consisted of soft, skin-like tones, including a beige-brown blush, neat eyebrows, and a few coats of mascara. A gentle wash of color on her lips and a naked manicure added the final touches to her look.

During her speech, Eilish made a point to call out the ultra wealthy to give more of their money away (just before the announcement that she would be donating $11.5 million dollars, earned over her last tour). Though Eilish's ensemble was undoubtedly stylish, it was far outshined by her powerful speech and the announcement that followed. Stephen Colbert took the stage to announce she's donated $11.5 million from her last tour.

“Billie Eilish will be donating proceeds from her Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour to support organizations, projects and voices dedicated to food equity, climate justice, reducing carbon pollution and combating the climate crisis," said Colbert. "That donation, ladies and gentlemen, will be $11.5 million. Billie, on behalf of humans everywhere, thank you.”

Eilish has a long track record of political activism. At this year's Oscars, for example, she sported an Artists4Ceasefire pin advocating for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. In 2019, the star also hosted a plastic-free world tour, which played host to the Billie Eilish Eco-Village. Billie Eilish is proving that her beauty regimen is ironclad. On Dec. 23, the singer posted her makeup routine on TikTok, showing fans everything that she uses to get her signature sultry glam.

To start, Eilish ‘tamed’ her cowlick using a few sprays of what seemed to be water in a spray bottle in the middle of her head, then put her hair up in a ponytail. She also sprayed her bangs and tucked them behind her ears. Next, she applied micellar water and moisturizer from the brand Biba Los Angeles before starting on her makeup.

While the products that she uses are fantastic (and we will be getting to them in a moment,) Eilish’s makeup hacks are also really great to pay attention to. Before she applied her eyeliner, Eilish used a Q-tip to dry her waterline. “You [do this] so that the pencil can adhere,” makeup artist Meghan Robinson, says in a video stitching Eilish’s. “If something is waterproof [and your eye] is wet, the pencil’s entire job is to repel water. Therefore it won’t stick to your waterline.” The singer went on to set the liner with eyeshadow, conceal a few dark marks with concealer, add faux freckles, blush, highlighter, brow gel, and mascara. As a final touch, she lined her lips before setting it with powder, then she was off to the stage to perform. After the show, EIlish recorded herself to show how well her makeup held up. “95 minutes of sweating and running around and everything looks decent,” she wrote on the screen.

A plethora of celebrities were photographed attending Billie Eilish's Halloween party on Saturday, October 26. Kaia Gerber kept everyone guessing by covering up a potential Halloween costume with a stylish black blazer.

While a navy pleated skirt and the hint of a tie appeared to be peeking out from underneath, it was Gerber's sleek blazer that demanded attention. She paired the jacket with black riding boots, and carried a black Celine bag.

Celine remains one of Gerber's go-to brands, and she's the face of its first-ever Pilates collection. The model can also often be found carrying one of Celine's bags, whether she's heading to a book reading, or keeping it casual in ballet flats.

Also in attendance at Eilish's Halloween party were Finneas and his girlfriend, Claudia Sulewski, Sasha and Malia Obama, and Kiernan Shipka, per Just Jared.

Having grown up as Cindy Crawford's daughter, it makes sense that Gerber embarked on a career as a model. In recent years, Gerber has branched out into acting, surprising fans with her talent in shows like Palm Royale and American Horror Story, and movies like Bottoms and Babylon

In an interview with ELLE U.K. in December 2023, Gerber addressed her passion for acting. "I was acting in school before I started modeling and that made my innately shy personality a little bit more outgoing," she explained. "It made me more comfortable being around people."

Now running both careers side by side, Gerber reflected on how each talent informs the other. "With modeling, I learned the power of transformation," she told the outlet. "When I started acting again, I had to completely forget that the camera was there, which is really the opposite of what you do as a model. But I think both go hand in hand."

Gerber also made it clear that she's serious about building a career as an actress. "Acting has always been my passion, though," she told the publication. "It feels fulfilling and I would love to keep doing it. I can't believe how lucky and fortunate I am."

Noting the thrill she felt working alongside Laura Dern and Kristen Wiig on Apple TV+'s Palm Royale, Gerber said, "I was on set with wide-open eyes, hardly able to believe I was there. I got to learn so much from working with them and I'm excited for people to see that. I hope they like it."

Billie Eilish made plenty of headlines when she told Variety she was "physically attracted to" women in 2023, sparking plenty of conversations about the singer's love life and sexuality. Fast forward to this month, and Eilish—who is Vogue's November 2024 cover girl—shared that she plans to keep her love life under wraps moving forward.

“I wish no one knew anything about my sexuality or anything about my dating life. Ever, ever, ever,” the "Birds of a Feather" singer told Vogue in a wide-ranging interview, adding, "And I hope that they never will again."

After her remarks to Variety, the pop star told another reporter from the publication that she wasn't aware she was coming out by making the remarks. "But I kind of thought, 'Wasn’t it obvious?'" Eilish said. "I didn’t realize people didn’t know. But I saw the article, and I was like, 'Oh I guess I came out today.' Okay cool."

However, Eilish told Vogue, "I'm never talking about my sexuality ever again. And I’m never talking about who I’m dating ever again.”

Eilish admitted that she "has a history of being too open and too honest" in her November cover story, and it seems like she'll be dialing back in the future. “I guess I also underestimate that things I say will be blown up into the biggest news of the whole world" she told Vogue.

Dating aside, Eilish—who is currently touring North America through December—shared that she struggles with life on the road. "I’ve had some really dark times on tour,” she said.

The "What Was I Made For" singer admitted that she used to look at her tours as something that was "kind of unpleasant, and whatever. It'll be over." However, she's now realized that hitting the road is a huge part of being an artist, sharing, "the truth is, it's the rest of my life."

"I didn’t realize that I could make touring enjoyable," Eilish, who has been frank about her struggles with depression, shared. "I just was very lonely for many years, and I’m not interested in that anymore. I want to enjoy the show as well as my days."

Part of this entails doing things for herself, and not "only being satisfied by the external validation." She told the magazine that lately, she's been able to focus on hobbies like cooking ("People are like, 'You can cook!'" she revealed) and might even try her hand at acting. "I really secretly love it," she admitted to Vogue.

In the meantime, she's busy working with Power the Polls to help encourage her fans to get involved with the upcoming election. "A lot of my fans are going to be able to vote for the first time," she told Vogue.

As for her thoughts on the candidates, she made her decision clear. “First female president? Would be really amazing. I would love to feel safe as a woman in my country.”

At Sunday's Critics' Choice Awards, Access Hollywood set out to make a bunch of different celebs perform a read of some of the speech as well as comment on its powerful meaning, and boy did these A-listers deliver.

Billie Eilish read the line, "You're supposed to stay pretty for men, but not so pretty that you tempt them too much, or that you threaten other women, because you're supposed to be part of the sisterhood."

The singer immediately added, "F***in' true. That monologue... it's so upsetting. Any time I hear any of it, I'm like, 'Nooo, I don't wanna hear this right now! I'm tryna enjoy my day, I don't need America telling me the truth of life and being a woman.' But I do, though. We all do."

Eilish was nominated at the awards show for her song "What Was I Made For" from the Barbie soundtrack, but lost out to "I'm Just Ken" from the same movie.

Meanwhile, Margot Robbie, the star of the Barbie movie, revealed that her favorite part of the whole Barbie craze was seeing the reception this speech received.

"Watching people's reactions to Gloria's monologue, the speech that America does, has been one of the funnest parts," Robbie said. "From the very first cut of the movie, that's what made people really stand up and vocalize their appreciation. It was like, everyone was like, 'Oh, she's finally articulating the thing we've always thought, and she's saying it for us, and it's amazing.'"

Last but not least, Jennifer Aniston, who was not involved in the Barbie movie, gave us an incredible dramatic interpretation of part of the speech, reading, "I'm so tired of watching myself and every other woman tie herself into knots so that people will like us."

She added, as herself, "Gosh darn it." Yeah, pretty much sums it up.

Growing up as a woman is hard enough, but Billie Eilish has had to deal with the added difficulty of growing up as a woman in the public eye. (Now 21, Eilish' music has been out in the world since she was 13.)

In a new interview with Variety, the singer opened up about what womanhood means to her, as well as describing her complex relationship with other women.

"I’ve never really felt like I could relate to girls very well," she said. "I love them so much. I love them as people. I’m attracted to them as people. I’m attracted to them for real."

After this quote, the Variety profile goes on to qualify this as a "revelation," seemingly describing her words as a coming out of sorts.

The singer went on to say, "I have deep connections with women in my life, the friends in my life, the family in my life. I’m physically attracted to them. But I’m also so intimidated by them and their beauty and their presence."

Speaking about writing this song in collaboration with her brother FINNEAS, Eilish said in September, "We wrote most of the song without thinking about ourselves and our own lives, but thinking about this character we were inspired by."

She continued, "A couple of days went by, and I realized it was about me. It’s everything I feel. And it’s not just me—everyone feels like that, eventually."

For context, the song's chorus goes: "'Cause I, I / I don't know how to feel / But I wanna try / I don't know how to feel / But someday, I might / Someday, I might"

Billie Eilish' song "What Was I Made For?" from the Barbie soundtrack is a hit.

The mournful track spent 10 weeks on the Billboard Top 100, and reached number one on both the Hot Alternative Songs and Hot Rock & Alternative Songs charts.

But when Eilish and her brother and collaborator FINNEAS were given the task to compose this song for the blockbusting movie, they were at a creative impasse. Thankfully, it sounds like this was the missing piece to unblock their inspiration.

"We wrote it in a period of time where we couldn’t have been less inspired and less creative. That day we were making stuff, and were like, 'We’ve lost it. Why are we even doing this?' Eilish confessed in a new cover interview with Allure.

"And then those first chords happened, and 'I used to float / now I just fall down' came out and the song wrote itself. I have the whole video of us writing the song, and the first thing we wrote were those lines in the first 10 minutes."

While the song's narrative was based on the Barbie character arc portrayed by Margot Robbie in the film, Eilish realized after the fact that it was actually really personal to her as well.

The song's lyrics allude to the sense of not knowing our purpose, what we were "made for," and the existential sadness that can come along with that.

"All the videos are devastating. I go on TikTok, and it’s video after video of how hard it is to be a woman, with that song playing."

The Barbie movie was widely praised for addressing the difficulties that come with being a woman, culminating in a rousing and memorable speech by America Ferrera's charsacter.
