The 2026 BET Awards broadcasted live from Hollywood on June 28, months after this year's award season officially wrapped. Still, the award show's best fashion moments from Keke Palmer, Doechii, and Janet Jackson were double-take worthy.

Last night, Black musicians, actors, athletes, and even a Love Island alum or two received their much-deserved flowers inside Peacock Theater, after the evening's naked dressing theme dominated the red carpet. Contrary to last year's Miu Miu bandana top, Doechii bared it all in a vintage Dsquared2 Spring 2006 gown. The BET Her award winner—and her risqué cut-outs—gave summer's signature crochet dress a super sultry makeover. Then, Lizzo arrived in a crystalized, chocolate brown gown from Christian Cowan. One week after Zendaya wore his Fall 2026 fringe, Lizzo looked "Good as Hell" in custom peekaboo corsetry.

Once stars warmed up the red carpet, the music legends just kept coming. Queen Latifah, Janet Jackson, and Lauryn Hill all made appearances in riffs on their signature styles. Needless to say, these BET Awards red carpet fashion moments deserve a second look.

Picking up where her 2026 Vanity Fair Oscar Party look left off, Keke Palmer sourced Gucci again for a $10,500, one-shoulder dress crystalized from top-to-bottom. The price tag wasn't the most jaw-dropping part, however. Once she turned around, the Nope actor's open back revealed a chainlink thong. Belly chains, be gone.

Lizzo claimed her Christian cowan crown in a sleeveless, semi-sheer slip, which sparkled with every step. Zoom in to appreciate the chocolate chiffon's delicate drapery atop her blink-and-you'll-miss-it corset.

Clearly, Doechii took a page from Zendaya's Big Book of Archival Dressing. Stylist Sam Woolf tracked down a crocheted halter-neck number from Dsquared2 Spring 2006 for his star client. Not only was the entire espresso-tinted style mostly transparent, the Grammy winner's neckline plunged just as far as her waist cut-outs.

Cardi B skipped the red carpet, but winning Female Hip-Hop Artist of the Year gave her black BET Awards gown a proper close-up. Thankfully, its velvet bodice, lacy skirt, and feather-fluffed train didn't go unnoticed.

Always on board for extra accessories, Jackson pulled off a tilted fedora, a birdcage veil, and no shortage of shiny silver bangles.

Lauryn Hill was the embodiment of her new Living Legend Icon Award in a voluminous, puff-sleeve gown crafted from brown, crinkle-effect nylon. Turns out, Beyoncé debuted the same ruffled style from Saint Laurent before the 2026 Met Gala. It seems the Spring 2026 style was made for icons.

If it wasn't for Cardi B's halftime show outfit at Game 3 of the NBA Finals, I would've grieved the New York Knicks' loss a lot harder. Her croc-covered matching set and Super Bowl-worthy performance made up for every controversial referee call inside Madison Square Garden on June 8.

The South Bronx native went all out for her hometown show. She nailed every tongue-twisting line in "Bodega Baddie" and "Bodak Yellow," while keeping up with the Knicks City Dancers. Stylist Kollin Carter chose leather, croc-embossed pieces Cardi could comfortably wear from courtside-to-court, beginning with a plunge bodysuit. Her under-bust corset added tons of texture to the spaghetti-strap halter top. The bustier's asymmetrical scales looked surprisingly realistic when the spotlight shined down.

Cardi B's charcoal gray corset was so structured, it looked like it could stand on its own. Her fitted pants seemed to be constructed from the same rough-to-the-touch mold. Each light-to-dark leg clung to the "I Like It" rapper's figure. Don't worry, though. The stiff silhouette didn't hold her back in the dancing department. Cardi's three-minute performance revealed the leggings were more flexible than they looked.

Cardi B's NBA Finals outfit didn't need any help standing out. It offered as much visual interest as any of her croc Hermès Birkin bags. (It's unclear if the two-piece set her back five-figures, though.) That said, she slipped on nude Christian Louboutin sandals and the anklet trend. You wouldn't know she wore simple stud earrings at all. The Grammy winner's pin-straight hair flowed all the way down to her knees.

Cardi B went straight from her courtside seat to the stage, leaving her son, Wave Set Cephus, to watch over her Chanel It bag. I'm surprised she even brought a purse at all—“TSA-style screening procedures” banned all bags from entering Madison Square Garden before Game 3. Even Karl-Anthony Towns's fiancée, Jordyn Woods, had to leave her "lucky" bag at home. (My superstitious side is convinced that's why we lost.)

Clearly, being the halftime performer had its perks. Cardi bypassed security with a Chanel 25 Mini Handbag in tow, courtesy of Matthieu Blazy's Métiers d'Art Spring 2026 show. Dalmation-print faux fur covered every square inch of the outer body, including its side pocket duo. Chanel's iconic chainlink straps—and a clasp's interlocked Cs—laced through the zipper-free tote, drawstring-style.

The $8,400 bag looked right at home in the New York City landmark. It made its runway debut in an abandoned subway just a few miles south of MSG. You may recognize Cardi B's Chanel purse from Hailey Bieber's collection. It joined her fellow Knicks fan's closet back in February.

To say I'm surprised the Knicks lost to the San Antonio Spurs would be an understatement. The June 8 match-up marked the end of my team's 13-game winning streak. I believe the Knicks can come back from this, but on the off chance they don't, I trust VIPs like Cardi B to serve style slam dunks in their honor.

Over the weekend, Cardi B wrapped up her very first tour after performing two consecutive shows in Atlanta. After her final performance, she attended the tour's official after party, where she let loose in a tight snakeskin jumpsuit and a platinum blonde wig with bombshell curls. But given the fact that this is Cardi B we're talking about here, I'm mostly shocked that she chose such a muted manicure for the affair.

If you look closely at the photos from the after party, you can see that the Am I the Drama? rapper chose to wear medium length nails that were painted with a dark blue chrome color. Okay, so chrome isn't exactly a low key design choice, but it's much more pared down in comparison to they types of manicures Cardi usually wears. She typically goes for styles that feature much longer lengths with complex designs and bright colors, but it's likely that she and her nail tech, Coca Michelle, went with shorter nails that are much easier to dance and perform in. The dark chrome color adds an element of fun to her nails without clashing too much with her various tour costumes.

Chrome powder can give the nails a reflective, mirror-like finish—it's how Hailey Bieber achieves the "glazed donut" look. But while glazed donut nail designs are known for being fairly neutral, that doesn't always have to be the case for chrome nail designs, as chrome can be applied to any color.

"The mirrored finish is striking yet incredibly adaptable—you can layer it over any base color to create endless variations, from soft and subtle pearl effects to bold, high-shine metallics," celebrity nail artist Erica De Los Santos previously told MC. "Like velvet nails, they’re timeless in the sense that they don’t feel tied to a single season or trend cycle."

Don't tell my personal trainer, but it's been a minute since I wore leggings for their intended purpose: exercising. I can't help it—fashion girls like Rihanna, Beyoncé, and Jennifer Lawrence keep showcasing their street style potential outside of the gym. This week, Cardi B's anti-athleisure leggings outfits ditched 2026 sneaker trends for pointy pumps, twice.

On March 24, The Bronx's Hip Hop Museum welcomed the hometown hero in anything-but-laidback leggings. (She had the afternoon off from her Little Miss Drama tour.) Stylist Kollin Carter traded her previous polka-dot stirrup leggings for the most classic of black pairs. Each skintight, ankle-length leg emerged from beneath an opulent black-and-white fur from London label Di Petsa.

Cardi's black-and-white color story peaked with pointy black stilettos. Rising spring sneaker trends would've dressed down the leggings to their athleisure roots.Heels, on the other hand, refashioned them like day-to-night pants.

The "Bodak Yellow" rapper has advocated for leggings-as-pants for years. Not only did Cardi model pantaboots (a leggings-stilettos hybrid) on Balenciaga's Fall 2024 runway, but that same year, she released a leggings-heavy collaboration with Reebok.

More recently, it seems fellow A-listers like Beyoncé, Amanda Seyfried, Shay Mitchell, and Lori Harvey inspired Cardi to start wearing leggings with pumps. It all started on Jan. 20, when Rihanna stacked black, almost-identical leggings over snakeskin Amina Muaddi pumps. By February, Beyoncé went the stirrup leggings route alongside burgundy slingback heels from Retrofête. That same week, Amanda Seyfried's capri leggings looked luxe with studded Chloé pumps. Now, Cardi B is carrying the controversial combination into spring.

Just when I planned to resume my leggings-clad workouts, Cardi B flagged another celebrity trend worth ditching my favorite sneakers for. Cardi B doesn't have to try very hard to sell me a haircare product—especially not if the textured blowout she just wore out in New York City is any proof of how great they work.

Cardi is currently in the middle of her Little Miss Drama tour, and she's set to perform her next show at New York City's Madison Square Garden on March 25. Earlier this week though, she took a quick break from show prep to shift her focus to promoting her new haircare brand, Grow-Good. The brand brought a Beauty Supply Bus to SoHo on March 23, and the rapper attended the pop-up looking as Cardi B as ever in a chocolate brown maxi dress with cream polka dots and a brown fur coat. Of course, with a brand that puts an emphasis on hair growth, it was only right that she show off just how far she's come on her own hair journey. For her glam, Cardi wore her natural hair in a long, textured blowout along with a headband that matched her dress.

Cardi B first announced the launch of Grow-Good back in February, noting that the brand has been three years in the making. "It took me about from 2016 to now to grow out my hair," she said in a promotional video shared to Instagram. "I'm not going to tell y'all what I'm using for it because I gotta test it out first, on myself." Before officially making the announcement, Cardi spent years sharing the secrets behind how she takes care of her type 4, waist-length hair. Those secrets include dousing her hair in boiled onion water for growth (the power of which has been backed by experts) and concocting protein-rich, at-home hair masks with ingredients like avocado, castor oil, mayo, and eggs. If this is the result of all of her efforts, I, for one, will be first in line to buy her products when they officially hit the market.

Grow-Good launches in April, but you don't have to wait until the products are available to achieve a fluffy blowout like Cardi's. Read ahead for some at-home blowout tips.

The dresses in my teenage closet always included a pair of leggings on each hanger's lower bar. Whether it was a mini or maxi, I stayed loyal to the skintight layer for extra, albeit unnecessary, modesty. As an adult, I thought I'd never revive the dress-over-leggings looks of my youth—until Cardi B modernized the once-divisive duo with two rising trends at once.

Touching down in Manhattan on March 23, Cardi B doubled down on polka dots while doubling up on major appearances (her Little Miss Drama tour, plus a Grow-Good Beauty launch event). Cardi's longtime stylist, Kollin Carter, dressed her in a spotted, brown-and-white set from Rowen Rose, featuring the stirrup leggings trend as her base layer. The equestrian-inspired bottoms—which circled the arches of her feet—emerged from beneath a matching polo-style dress. Even her Rowen Rose headband got the polka-dot memo.

Cardi's dress-and-leggings set didn't look anywhere near as corny as my circa-2007 takes, though. Perhaps the fact that each piece actually matched helped smooth out the set. (Mine almost never coordinated.) What's more, stacking leggings underneath her maxi elongated the otherwise-concentrated pattern.

Polka-dots also helped ground the leggings look in today's trend cycle, as the print still dominated Spring 2026 runways from Elie Saab, Nina Ricci, Schiaparelli, Dries Van Noten, N°21, and more. To finish, the "I Like It" rapper ended the brown-and-white color story with a Ducie fur coat and pointy pumps, respectively.

Marie Claire first flagged stirrup leggings as the "here to stay" fixture of Fall 2025 fashion shows from Balmain and Dries Van Noten. By Spring 2026, they galloped back into the zeitgeist thanks to Vautrait and Conner Ives, as well as menswear collections from Rowen Rose and Fiorucci. That signature shape came in all shades and prints, including stripes at Fiorucci and neon pink at Conner Ives.

Turns out, my affinity for dresses-over-leggings never disappeared. It simply went on hiatus, only to be reinstated by a maximalist fashion muse like Cardi B. Thanks to her, I'm entering spring with a newfound courage to give my younger self's signature set another chance.

Shop Stirrup Leggings Inspired by Cardi B

Cardi B has proven on many occasion that she's more than just a rapper. She's diversified her income streams in a variety of ways throughout her career, from becoming the creative director in residence for Playboy in 2021 to later co-founding a brand of vodka-infused whipped cream. Now she's diving into the beauty business, as she announced today that she's officially launching a haircare brand called Grow-Good.

On Feb. 11, the Am I the Drama? rapper, took to Instagram to share a short promotional video for Grow-Good that features a series of behind-the-scenes clips of her speaking with hair scientists and product developers about the upcoming products over the years. Per one clip with a 2023 timestamp, the brand has been three years in the making. "It took me about from 2016 to now to grow out my hair," she says in the video. "I'm not going to tell y'all what I'm using for it because I gotta test it out first, on myself."

In a voiceover, Cardi also talks about her own journey with her hair, specifying that the brand's mission is to "make these b*tches hair grow good.”

"When I was younger, I really used to hate my hair," she says. "Now that I'm older, I grew to love it, appreciate it...it's really a part of me."

More often than not, Cardi wears wigs during public appearances, likely to protect her real hair from the elements while also safely playing around with different lengths, colors, and styles without having to put too much stress on it. That said, she's also given fans plenty of glimpses of her natural hair—which is dark brown and nearly waist-length—and the products she uses to take care of it at home via Instagram Stories and TikTok.

Back in 2020, for example, she revealed the recipe for the DIY hair mask she frequently uses to moisturize her type 4 hair. According to the video, she mixes one whole avocado, a scoop of mayo, two eggs, and castor oil in a blender before applying it to wet hair and letting it sit for at least 20 minutes and spraying it with rice water once she rinses it out. Two years later, she claimed that boiled onion water was another secret to keeping her hair long and healthy. (According to hair experts, there might actually be some truth to that, believe it or not.)

Cardi has yet to share much else about Grow-Good Beauty, including the price points, the official launch date, what the first batch of products will actually be, or which retailers will be selling it, although the site does have a sign up page and the Instagram page is finally live. What I do know for sure is that, whenever it's available, I'll be the first in line to make a purchase.

This year's Super Bowl has finally come and gone, and while the Seattle Seahawks took home the trophy last night, the real winner in my mind is the studded manicure that Cardi B wore during her Halftime Show cameo.

The Am I the Drama? rapper attended last night's Super Bowl, where she made a very brief appearance during Bad Bunny's halftime show performance along with other celebrities like Pedro Pascal, Karol G, and Jessica Alba. For her guest spot, she wore a cream, off-shoulder minidress that featured a silk corset and cascading ruffles on the skirt, and she paired it with tan gladiator boots from Tom Ford. But not even her outfit, or an electrifying performance from Bad Bunny, could stop me from fawning over her glam for the night.

Cardi B kept her hair pretty tame with a long, jet black, loosely-curled style, but her longtime manicurist, Coca Michelle, shared a close-up photo of her manicure that proved that the real magic was happening on her nails. Per Michelle's caption, Cardi wore a "romantic cream" manicure that featured long, square-shaped gel tips that were painted with a tan base color. There was a large, gold charm with an emerald in the middle attached to her ring and pointer fingers, while the rest of her fingers were given a reverse French manicure design featuring gold chrome polish.

Cardi B had a pretty busy Super Bowl weekend, as she was there to support her partner, Stefon Diggs, who plays for the New England Patriots. Just one night prior, she was seen at a party thrown by Fanatics, where she wore a bone straight, jet black wig with black nails to match.

Bad Bunny fans spent Super Bowl eve envisioning the Puerto Rican star's 2026 halftime show. Simultaneously, Cardi B teased a potential cameo saying, "That would be exciting," when asked if Bad Bunny added "I Like It" to the set list. (The two collaborated on the 2018 hit.) Cardi did play a part in the halftime show, though she traded a microphone for a casita corset.

Nearly two minutes into Bad Bunny's 13-minute "immersive" performance, the camera panned to the most star-studded casita in all of Santa Clara: Karol G, Pedro Pascal, Jessica Alba, and Cardi B danced to "Yo Perreo Sola" in beige boho sets. Looking every bit a "Bodega Baddie," Cardi styled a $1,250 silk corset seen on Zimmermann's Resort 2026 runway. The balconette bust and cascading lacing turned bohemian alongside frayed ruffles. Wired, pannier-like peplums atop either hip blended seamlessly into the skirt's frilled layers. Stylist Kollin Carter pinned one end of the mini beneath the corset's hem, creating a thigh-high slit.

The runway model's Birkenstock-like sandals switched places with Cardi's Tom Ford gladiator boots. You may recognize the tiered belt buckles from Rihanna's archives: the fellow Grammy winner pulled off the nude, Spring 2013 sandals in April 2013. Still, every element—from the knee braces to the peep-toe block heels—could've been plucked off a recent catwalk.

No Cardi look is complete without a healthy dose of diamonds. Silver chokers—embellished with spiky pendants aplenty—frosted her décolletage. Her complementary earrings, on the other hand, didn't get a proper close-up beneath her bombshell blowout.

As evidenced by her Super Bowl selects, the "Bodak Yellow" rapper doesn't limit herself to a single aesthetic. See her pre-Super Bowl LX look on Feb. 7, which awoke her sporty side. Carter outfitted her in a skintight, two-tone catsuit from Chrome Hearts. Not a single ruffle decorated its black-and-yellow exterior. Even so, its sculptural spandex hugged her curves just like the Zimmermann corset.

Ahead of her "Little Miss Drama" tour, which is set to kick off in just a few short weeks, Cardi B will be the musical guest on this weekend's episode of Saturday Night Live. Before Saturday night's appearance, she shared a short promotional video for the episode via Instagram alongside host Alexander Skarsgård, and it's very important to me that we talk about the bombshell hairstyle she wore for the promo. In the video, the rapper is seen wearing a skin-tight, sequin dress with a triangular cutout in the bust area. Her hair is styled in big barrel curls with a feathery bang that cuts straight across her forehead as well as a side bang slightly above it.

Cardi B switches up her hair pretty consistently (she was just spotted out this past weekend wearing a long, mint green wig at an NFL game), but believe it or not, this isn't the first time she's played around with a style that incorporates multiple types of bangs. Back in December, she spent a weekend celebrating her boyfriend Stefon Diggs's 32nd birthday, and one of the looks she churned out during the multi-day celebration was a neon green, asymmetrical bob featuring both a blunt bang and a side bang.

Cardi B has a response to the hate she's been receiving online lately. But, with this being Cardi B, her response comes in the form of a video message that mixes sincerity with humor with a couple shocking turns of phrase. One second she's telling fans she needs their support ahead of her upcoming tour, the next she's asking haters if they want her to leave her man and get with theirs instead.

To backtrack a little: Cardi B is currently in a relationship with New England Patriots player Stefon Diggs, and they welcomed a child together in November. The two did not seem to spend Christmas together, with Cardi posting photos of herself over the holiday with their new baby and the three children she shares with her ex, Offset. Meanwhile, Diggs shared photos on his Instagram story of himself spending time with other children. According to People, he is known to have two daughters in addition to his child with Cardi B, one of whom was also born this year. As reported by Page Six, Diggs captioned one of his Instagram posts, in which he is seen holding a baby, "One of my boys [sic] first Christmas".

Because of this situation, Cardi has received criticism and hate for her relationship, some of it under the guise of advice for her to stay away from Diggs. The rapper responded to the messages in a video posted on X on Dec. 29.

"Y'all need to calm down. Is y'all cool?" Cardi starts the video. "Y'all been dragging me for three or four days. And y'all been a little bit too mean."

The 33-year-old goes on to point out that she can't change what's already happened in her life—but she does so in very Cardi B fashion. "I can't change shit. I can't go back in time. I already had a baby. Y’all want me to put my baby back in my pussy? Y'all want me to leave my man and fuck yours? ... We can only go forward now."

Cardi then notes that she has a big year ahead of her with her upcoming Little Miss Drama Tour, which begins in February, so she's already "super stressed out" about having to leave her family and spend long hours rehearsing.

"I need my support system, my fans, to love me. I want y'all to come to my tour and enjoy yourselves with me … I love y’all. I want good for y’all," she says, but adds in a final plea, "Leave me alone, though! Shit! Damn! Y’all scare me sometimes."

As you might expect, the video itself received both negative and positive comments. Some continued to criticize Cardi's choices in her personal life, but others did offer their support for the "Up" performer.

And if anyone needs more evidence of where Cardi stands with Diggs, she showed her support—and her love of Chanel—at his game against the New York Jets on Sunday, Dec. 28.

Did Cardi B get engaged at last night's New England Patriots game? I don't know. But what I do know is that the rapper turned out one heck of a game day 'fit and that in itself if a feat worth discussing.

On Dec. 28, Cardi was posted up in the VIP section of her boyfriend Stefon Diggs's football game. She arrived dressed in an archival Chanel ensemble, copy-and-pasted from the Fall/Winter 1991 runway. The "Outside" singer filmed a stylish tunnel walk of her own, showing off Chanel's two most iconic motifs: oversized pearls and hot pink tweed.

A vintage lady jacket stood as the focal point of her outfit, styled with hot pink tights, a white top, and denim mini skirt. She finished the look with matching pumps and a beaded belt reminiscent of the look's original styling.

Cardi did take some artistic liberties, however. She added several modernized details to the '90s-era 'fit that brought it squarely into 2026. She shortened the skirt, to rid the number of its secretary associations, and also swapped out a casual T-shirt for a white button-down. The choice was inarguably the right one, as it added the outfit's overall polished air.

The star also sported the viral pearl necklace bag from Chanel's Womenswear Fall/Winter 2025-2026 show, which costs a whopping $40,950. She wore it slung across her chest, in place of the dangling cluster of chains worn by the original model in 1991.

And that, my friends, is how you do Chanel.

For me, the 2025 MTV VMAs ended once Ariana Grande accepted the final Moon Person trophy. I needed my beauty sleep: Sabrina Carpenter's Bob Mackie after-party look required my attention this morning. For celebrity guests, on the other hand, the night was still young.

The VIP section inside New York's UBS Arena went from star-studded to vacant in mere minutes. Cars waited outside the Long Island venue to usher Carpenter, Ice Spice, Tate McRae, and more to various after-parties. The evening's hottest ticket was undeniably Carpenter's Studio54-themed bash. The "Espresso" singer's risqué aesthetic incited stars to style lingerie-as-outerwear, starting with Ice Spice.

The "Deli" rapper was photographed outside the Crane Club in Chelsea, wearing the bloomer trend and a coordinating corset. McRae arrived shortly after Ice Spice in her own Carpenter-coded underwear. She layered a halter-neck two-piece underneath a mesh bodysuit. It was entirely sheer, except for hot pants and a criss-cross wrap. Turns out, Ludovic de Saint Sernin was behind the set, marking their first move as McRae's creative directors.

Sabrina Carpenter's Studio54-ready dress deserved its own 400-word thesis, but I'll applaud it here, too. The hostest-with-the-mostest got her hands on an almost 50-year-old Bob Mackie bodysuit, fringed with grosgrain ribbons and mirrored discs.

Cher debuted the halter-neck design during a 1975 The Cher Show episode, alongside Tina Turner, no less. Both icons sang "Shame Shame Shame" in halter-neck bodysuits, which shimmered just as much as any disco ball.

Cardi B

The "I Like It" rapper was noticeably absent from the ceremony's red carpet. Turns out, she saved her underwear-as-outerwear for the after-hours scene. Stylist Kollin Carter dressed Cardi B in a leopard-print long-sleeve dress with a plunging neckline. Its hip-high slit revealed her saucy stockings, which stopped just above each knee.

Ice Spice

Ice Spice was in a corset-y mood this MTV VMAs. For the Sabrina54 soirée, she ditched her vintage Ralph Lauren set for another two-piece, this time in lavender. (You can thank her new stylist, Timothy Luke Garcia, for both throwback numbers.) Her strapless top had all the makings of a classic bustier, plus an outstretched neckline. A thin, monochromatic belt cinched her waist.

To finish, ruched bloomer shorts peeked out from underneath the corset. It embodied the pajama side of lingerie dressing.

Tate McRae

You might've expected McRae to head straight home after her choreographed performance of "Sports Car." Instead, she hit up Carpenter's party in a sheer turtleneck and matching tights, curated by stylists Chloe and Chenelle Delgadillo. A criss-cross wrap top and hot pants acted as her only opaque pieces.

A few days later, Ludovic de Saint Sernin and his image director, Ignacio Muñoz, shared the creative director news on Instagram. According to their now-viral post, they met McRae last July "as she was looking to enter a new chapter in her career creatively." The French label created her sheer red carpet gown, her white performance look, as well as her after-party attire.

Olandria Carthen

The Love Island USA Season 7 star proved she's one to watch on the fashion front, too. Before a Chez Margaux get-together in the Meatpacking district, photographers captured Olandria Carthen's black lingerie dress in all its rhinestone-embellished glory.

It was partially transparent to match her over-the-knee stockings, also in black. Once again, she worked with styling duo Matthew and Reginald Reisman—the same team behind her Cheney Chan red carpet gown.

Rosalía

Similar to Cardi B, Rosalía joined the VMAs festivities once the ceremony ended. She met up with Ice Spice and McRae at Sabrina54 in stark white lingerie, which peeked through her chainmail long-sleeve mini.

If there's anything I've learned as a Cardi B fan over the last several years, it's that she's going to serve a major fashion and beauty moment no matter where she is. Case in point, the "Outside" rapper is currently on trial in Los Angeles, yet the only thing I (and most of the internet) seem to be able to focus on right now is the platinum blonde wig she wore to court this week.

Cardi is on trial over an alleged incident that happened with a security guard back in 2018. (The security guard has accused Cardi of assaulting them in the hallway of an obstetrician's office in Beverly Hills.) When arriving to court on Aug. 26, the 32-year-old showed up in a gray, black, and white tweed suit with fringe lining along her neckline and wrists. Her glam was equally as chic: she deviated from her typical over-the-top nail looks and opted for short, nude, almond-shaped nails instead. As for hair and makeup, she wore a full beat with a smokey eye and a nude lip, along with a platinum blonde wig with a deep side part and bombshell curls, and all I can say is that I truly aspire to one day be this committed to serving looks.

Cardi B has been swapping looks almost every day that she's appeared in court this week. She wore a jet black pixie cut when she took the stand on the day before her blonde moment, and on the day after, she went back to black, only this time, she wore a long, curly wig with a deep side part. Her looks have also strangely been the subject of a bit of courtroom chatter. When she took the stand on Tuesday, the plaintiff's lawyer questioned her about her change in appearance, asking which of the wigs she wore was her "real hair" before Cardi clarified that they were both (obviously) wigs.

This has only proved to me that Cardi B can make just about any hair color look good, but if she decided to make platinum blonde her signature, I wouldn't be mad about it. I don't think anyone works harder than Cardi B's nail tech. The rapper just released the music video for her newest single, "Imaginary Playerz," on Aug. 15, and I'm fully in awe of just how many stunning nail looks she was able to fit into three-and-a-half minutes. The video itself features exactly what I've come to expect from Cardi B these days, which is a ton of stunning imagery of her sailing on a yacht, flying on a private jet, and in general, just living a life of luxury. While it's pretty obvious that everything about the visual was expensive, I'm more focused on what the glam budget was.

The morning after the video dropped, Cardi's longtime nail tech, Coca Michelle, took to her Instagram Story to share a handful of behind-the-scenes videos and close-up photos of several of the manicures that the rapper wore in the video. One of the looks featured short, square-shaped nails that were painted with a black base and had emerald-cut gems glued to the top.

In another slide, Michelle shared a collage of two other nail looks. One was a medium-length almond manicure with a black base and white polka dots that were accented with what appears to be the Chanel logo. Another featured a photo of long, black stiletto nails with two curved white lines drawn across the middle of each nail. Judging by the photo, it's safe to assume that most of the looks were pre-painted by Michelle onto a set of tips before being applied when it was time to shoot.

But, of course, that's not where things stop. In another slide, Cardi is seen wearing a long, oval look that features teal nail polish with "melted gold" borders. The melted gold looks like it was achieved with 3D gel that was applied to the borders of the nails before they were either painted with a metallic gold polish or dipped in gold chrome powder. Either way, it looks both stunning and expensive.

Michelle shared a handful of other behind-the-scenes pics from the video, and to my surprise, some of the looks shown were outfits and glam that Cardi happened to also be wearing during her many appearances at Paris Couture Week last month.

Let's face it, Cardi B's nail looks will always be one-of-a-kind, but if you want to achieve at least somewhat similar that you can wear at home, shop a few must-haves ahead.

Judging by the photos, it also looks like the wig's natural color was brown before being lightened with striped highlights in specific sections.

In the same way that I've come to expect great hair from Cardi B, I also know that she's always going to have an A+ manicure to match. In the same Instagram dump, she shared photos of one of her most recent nail sets, which featured long, coffin-shaped extensions with turquoise polish and a 3D croc design. The nails, of course, were the work of her longtime manicurist, Coca Michelle.

The striped highlights quickly transitioned to a jet black high ponytail that Cardi opted to wear while hosting SummerSlam, but that doesn't mean I won't still be thinking about the style obsessively for the next few days. Read ahead for some products you'll definitely need to recreate the look.

Cardi has been effortlessly serving looks all week, and every time her outfits change, her nails seem to transform with them. For Wednesday's event, she wore a long-sleeve lace gown with a thigh-high leg slit. The rapper wasn't the only star to step out making a serious case for wearing dark nails in the summertime. Nicole Kidman appeared at the same event and wore a black cherry nail color, proving that dark, vamp-y colors aren't just exclusive to fall and winter.

Before Wednesday, Cardi wore a completely different manicure that featured almond nails with a neutral base and black polish around the borders. The "Outside" rapper has really taken the lyrics to her new song to heart over the last few days and has stepped out wearing more show-stopping looks than I can count. She started off the week at the Schiaparelli show wearing a sculptural gown and a sleek blunt bob, and right after that, she wore a ruby red dress with 3D flowers attached, pulling her hair back into a slick bun with stylized baby hairs. On July 8, she switched things up again, attending Ashi Studio's Fall/Winter 2025 showcase wearing a fishtail braid that made her look like a literal angel.

Cardi attended the show wearing a white, lace, high-neck gown with an asymmetrical hem. She wore it with a long fishtail braid that was pulled to the left side of her face and styled with a middle part and two small pieces of hair that framed her face. Much like her newest single suggests, Cardi B was back outside this week, and she marked the occasion by wearing the trendiest haircut of 2025: the blunt bob. Each Paris Couture Week, Schiaparelli creative director Daniel Roseberry gathers Hollywood's most elite at the Petit Palais to present his newest creations. Inevitably, one of the brand's runway looks or A-list attendees will cause such a stir, it will be talked about for years to come.

Previous shows have supplied sartorial gems such as Kylie Jenner's lion head dress, Doja Cat's full-body embellishment, or more recently, Kendall Jenner's bubble-hipped corset dress. For the Fall/Winter 2025 fashion show, however, it was rapper Cardi B who continued this tradition.

The "Please Me" singer supplied what will surely be the most provocative fashion moment of the week, when she pulled up carrying not one of the brand's gilded face handbags, but a live, squawking crow.

The rapper took her newest song "Outside" to heart, arriving at the venue looking like a high-fashion incarnation of Mother Nature. She wore a long-sleeve black column dress (a Schiaparelli signature), which featured a floating, U-shaped neckline that extended past her ears.

The sculpturesque design was heavy with three-foot-long pearl strands, which dangled around her like a luminous cape. In contrast, Cardi cropped her usually waist-length hair into a posh bob, allowing her fringed confection to hold the spotlight.

Beyond Cardi's feathered companion, the only other accessory she sported was a pair of orb-like pearl earrings. Statement lobes were a trend among the show's A-list attendees, with both Dua Lipa and Hunter Schafer styling their respective couture gowns similarly.

The ornate two-piece set was crafted by one of fashion's most famous suitmakers, Burberry. But the brand rejected their signature checked print for the special occasion, instead outfitting Cardi in extravagant velvet brocade.

Cardi's hairstyle was likewise pulled from fashion's grooviest era. The rapper wore her curls teased into an angular Afro, which she parted down the side or a more modern interpretation on the classic look.

The rest of her glam was in-line with her outfit's air of emerald-tinted luxuriousness. She opted for a matching smoky eye and even debuted colored contacts for the evening. Coordinating your eye color to your outfit is a level of dedication that's absolutely warranted for this elite event.

Cardi B is a Met Gala regular, for whom this year marks her sixth in attendance. And though her outfits are always drastically different, they all share a similarly voluminous silhouette.

Cardi also posted a photo of her very sexy birthday look on the grid, with a little story time in the caption.

But I, for one, am grateful for the rapper's sacrifice, because the resulting look is undeniably the most interesting beauty moment to emerge from Fashion Month 2024 so far.

The theatrical hair style hinges on a set of razor-sharp, V-shaped curtain bangs that were seemingly cut to mirror the angle of Cardi's high cheekbones, then parted directly down the middle to reveal a narrow swath of her forehead. The high-gloss sheen of her jet-black hair, which seemed to catch the light from every angle, only heightened the otherworldly effect.

What's not so obvious in pictures is the sleek bun sitting directly behind Cardi B's thick fringe, although you can see the much better in video clips like this one captured by WWD. I like to think of it as Mugler's science fiction-inspired take on the mullet: warrior helmet in the front, extraterrestrial baddie in the back.

A similarly surreal-yet-familiar approach was taken with Cardi's makeup, which featured '90s-inspired black lip liner, pale pink lipstick, and a small face gem placed atop a heavy dusting of pink blush.

Cardi's wig—along with similar wigs worn by several of the models—was created by experimental Chinese hairstylist Zhou Xue Ming. The rapper's bangs were snipped a bit shorter than the mouth-grazing hair pieces used on the runway, but both versions of the high-brow bowl cut paired perfectly with creative director Casey Cadwallader's future-nostalgic designs.

Let's hope Mugler's love affair with Cardi B never ends. Because frankly, I'm not sure who else would have been able to pull this look off.

Cardi B shared some exciting news on Instagram Thursday, Sept. 12, announcing she'd given birth to a daughter — her third child with estranged husband Offset — over the weekend.

"The prettiest lil thing 🌸🌸 9/7/24 💖💖" she captioned the post, which included a variety of photos and videos of her new addition to the family.

The "WAP" singer didn't include her daughter's name in the post, but she did share some sweet photos of herself posing with the baby girl and her family.

And although Cardi B filed for divorce from husband Offset, she posed with the father of her three kids along with their 3-year-old son, Wave, and daughter Kulture, 6.

The singer also showed a photo of herself breastfeeding the new baby and several videos, including a clip of Offset enjoying some skin-to-skin contact with his newborn daughter.

Of course, Cardi B was still glammed up, even in a hospital bed, wearing a bedazzled silk robe and stacks of bracelets in one adorable video with her new addition.

In another snap, she wore a colorful green and pink robe and beamed at the camera while her baby wore an adorable pink hat trimmed with a bow.

The "I Like It" singer only announced her pregnancy a month ago, posting on Instagram August 1 and writing, "With every ending comes a new beginning!"

I spend most of my day tracking celebrity’s summer manicures, so believe me when I say that the moody red nail trend is here to stay. Zendaya was the first to get on board with the off-season look, wearing a deep maroon manicure in late July. Selena Gomez followed suit with a rich, muted red polish the following week. And now, Cardi B, who just so happens to be my favorite source of manicure inspiration, is joining the winter red bandwagon.

On Wednesday, August 21, the “Bongos” singer took to Instagram Stories to share her fresh set of acrylics, which were created by her go-to nail artist Jenny Biu. While I can’t say for certain the exact shade the duo decided on, it appears to be just a hint deeper and warmer than a classic cherry red. Might I suggest OPI’s Got the Blues for Red or Essie’s Not Red-y?

“The reds we see everywhere now are Reality Bites reds. It’s what Winona Ryder or Jeanine Garofalo would wear in 1994,” celebrity nail artist Miss Pop previously told me while discussing the summer nail trend. “When you’re wearing red though, it’s really about matching your personality more than the season.”

With that in mind, it’s no shock that Cardi put her own personal spin on the popular manicure. Rather than opting for the short and square nail shape we’ve seen on repeat, her acrylics are easily half an inch long. They’re also stiletto-shaped with a square top.

Controversial nail looks are extremely on-brand for the rapper. She’s had a one-of-a-kind duck-shaped manicure with 3D jewels and a cherry topper. While a bold and considerably unexpected choice given the season, a deep, warm, and cozy red has both sex appeal and staying power. “This red has a chicness and unexpected coolness, likely influenced by runway trends and early fall previews, that has undeniably captured attention,” celebrity nail artist Jin Soon Choi explains.

The key to turning a winter tone into a summer shade is to reach for a more pigmented undertone. “You want a polish that has a deep color but still the ability to see the shade of red, as opposed to just seeing darkness,” says celebrity artist Tom Bachik, the mastermind behind Selena Gomez's take on the shade. Rather than an Essie Wicked or OPI In the Cable Car, you want Chanel’s Rouge Nior or imPRESS’s Cherry Up.

Marc Jacobs held his Fall 2024 runway show on Monday, July 1, at the New York Public Library. What better way to channel the theme of hopefulness and "joy, period"—as written in the show notes—than with a celebrity-studded front row to match its vibes?

Enter: Cardi B, who took the opportunity to exude joy and more in a floral mini dress that looked like an overflowing bouquet.

Stars and normal people alike began embracing the style as bike shorts re-entered the fashion zeitgeist, alongside athleisure and '90s/y2k aesthetics, around 2022. But we have to give kudos to Cardi for really nailing Princess Diana's details.

This stripped-down casual ensemble is out of the norm for Cardi, who typically opts for more glammed-up looks. At this year's Met Gala, back in May, it took five men just to unfurl the enormous skirt of her tulle gown. The rapper debuted a new, slightly shaggy pixie cut within an Instagram Story on Tuesday, June 25. It's not just perfectly on trend—it's also very in line with her style. "Every pixie cut should be versatile,” explains Wright-Horn. “You should be able to wear it down, spike it up, or curl it.”

With a bit of a bang and layers down the sides and back, Cardi's rendition lends itself to endless styling options. And if we know one thing about the "Bongos" singer, it’s that she likes to experiment with her look.

She’s tried almost every length, style, and color. We’ve seen her with pink, blue, and ombre hair. She’s had bangs. In fact, just last week, her hair was butt-length and embellished with over 25 little coquette-style bows.

But hair inspiration isn’t the only beauty example the mom of two has to offer. Per her latest social media post, we can now expect earring content from the creator, too. “I came here for one thing,” Cardi says via Instagram Stories, pointing to celebrity body piercer Harrison McCall. “Look what he did to me,” she laughs.

With that, she turns her ear to the camera and debuts a new upper and lower helix piercing and a conch piercing. "The conch refers to the center 'bowl' of the ear," Sarah Lacy, a registered nurse, and Associate Director of Piercing Research and Innovation at ear piercing studio Rowan, previously told Marie Claire. "Like the helix, this part of the ear comprises cartilage."

I’m not saying you need a pixie cut to get a conch piercing, but Cardi was onto something by pairing the two together.

Girlhood appreciation and the coquette-core trend that came with it reached a peak during the first half of the year. I counted well over 25 of the clips staggered throughout her hairstyle.

While Cardi’s current style puts an emphasis on the sheer number of bows, her hairstylist Mia, also known as Tokyo Stylez, wasn’t without plenty of inspiration. “Bows are back—and not just for the holidays,” 901 hairstylist Natty Jackson previously told Marie Claire while chatting about 2024’s hair trends. “You can really channel your inner coquette girl this year.”

Bows dominated the 2024 Spring/Summer Haute Couture runway circuit. They made appearances at Chanel, with large velvet ribbons perched atop ponytails, Dior, where hairstylist Guido Paolo secured dainty ribbons into braided bows, and Giambattista Valli, where each ponytail had not one—but two—bows staggered in the style.

Dainty ribbons don’t just find a home in hairstyling—they’re also ideal nail accessories. “Adding a sweet little bow can make any mani feel like a little girlie gift,” celebrity nail artist Miss Pop previously told Marie Claire. You can attempt freehanding the design or order tiny ribbon appliques. “Secure them with a dot of eyelash glue," Miss Pop added, "and you’ll be good to go.”

Cardi B is among the most anticipated Met Gala arrivals every year, and tonight was no different. For the 2024 Met Gala, the star hit just as the carpet was closing in a show stopping, huge look (no, literally, huge).

Cardi B was enveloped in a puddle of black tulle, courtesy of a Windowsen ball gown with a train that took up about half of the iconic staircase and needed five assistants to unravel its contents.

The rapper paired the gown with a matching black tulle turban, with her long black hair cascading from underneath. She accessorized with bold diamond and emerald jewelry and her sharp green claw nails.

Cardi's over-the-top number brings together some of the best elements from her previous Met Gala looks. Last year, to fit the “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty" theme, one of Cardi's two dresses had a full black ball gown skirt covered in huge sculptural rosettes. Back in 2019, for "Notes on Camp," Cardi took the stairs in a custom oxblood Thom Browne gown that extended outward in concentric circles for about ten feet, made from tulle and silk organza and filled with down.

This year, Cardi's lush tulle speaks to the 2024 Met Gala dress code, “The Garden of Time,” a concept inspired by J.G. Ballard's 1962 short story of the same name. This theme focuses on the connection between time and natural beauty for the Met's "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion" exhibit, which will include “250 objects spanning four centuries...visually united by iconography related to nature, which will serve as a metaphor for the fragility and ephemerality of fashion,” per a press release.

The Grammy Award-winning rapper and her stylist Kollin Carter have been preparing this look for months. “We’re always thinking ahead,” Cardi told The Hollywood Reporter in late March. “I feel like the Met Gala is almost like going to the Grammys. It’s very nerve-racking, and even though we make it look so easy, we really be so nervous.”

“We always try to make sure that everything goes right, that everything be iconic. We want everything to be iconic. I know people sometimes be like, ‘Oh, it’s not about who is there and who is not,’ but it’s like, no, you need to remember us forever," Cardi continued. It's safe to say they accomplished their goal.

Cardi added that dressing for her curves is “not easy, but we make it look easy,” she said. “Our door was closed many times—but we’re here because we do it well. I’m not going to be humble about it.”

Carter added that their work as collaborators has paved the way for other women in the industry and has “caused a cultural shift”: “I don’t think there were many women like Cardi who existed in the fashion space,” he said. “Now there are a ton of other rap females who aspire to be in that space because they see what’s possible. We set trends.”

He added “We’ve given look after look, year after year. We’ve reached into archives that are impossible to reach into.”

Carter specifically pointed to Cardi’s 2019 Met Gala gown—designed by Thom Browne—with its explosion of feathers and over-the-top train, a gown that “landed the star on every best-dressed list that night,” Page Six writes. 

“That look broke Cardi B into the next level of the fashion world,” he said. “People who didn’t take us seriously were like, ‘Okay, they’re here to stay.’”

While the overwhelming hype of all things Barbiecore has mostly fizzled out, Cardi B is still not over the "pretty in pink" craze. On Tuesday night, the "Like What" rapper wore head-to-toe pink at the Hollywood Cares Foundation dinner in Los Angeles.

After a long night out, Cardi B was seen heading home from the charity fundraiser at The Little Door in West Hollywood. The 31-year-old's ensemble for the evening featured a figure-hugging pink maxi gown. The sleeveless dress had a slightly plunging V neckline and was bejeweled all over with matching pink crystals. (Neither a designer nor Cardi's usual stylist, Kollin Carter, has come forward to identify the label behind the look.)

The WAP musician didn't hesitate to go all-in on the Barbie agenda. She added open-toed hot pink metallic sandals into the mix and accessorized with silver earrings.

As for glam, she wore her hair straightened out and flowing down her back. She also opted for a smoky eyeshadow and a glossy pink lip.

Cardi B was in great company last night: The celebrity-studded charity dinner hosted Rihanna and Paris Hilton, among other A-list names. In footage posted by one of the event's attendees, Alfredo Sanchez Ortiz, on Instagram Stories, Cardi B is seen posing next to Rihanna for the cameras.

The Barbiecore aesthetic was one of 2023's biggest trends, mainly thanks to the release of the Barbie movie and the subsequent press tour of its cast, which featured none other than the film's star, Margot Robbie. While the Internet has mostly gotten over the excessive pink colorway in their everyday wardrobes—and 2024 color trends from the runway lean toward softer pastels—Cardi B hasn't just yet. If not anything, her look could signal that the vibrant hue is here to stay well into 2024.

In a recent interview for Complex’s “360 with Speedy” series, the "Bodak Yellow" singer admitted that last year marked a drop in her self-esteem. She stated she was "afraid" to live her life after seeing a slew of negative comments on social media.

"I just feel like I lost myself with everything," she explained. “A lot of music commenters and everything and a lot of people just be like, 'She's afraid to drop an album. She's afraid to drop music.' Like, last year, I barely dropped music. It's just like I was just afraid to do everything." Now, it seems she's using fashion to come back.

When anyone thinks of Cardi B, “confidence” naturally comes to mind. Add in self-assurance and swagger and that begins to paint the picture of Cardi as a public persona. But, in addition to being sure of herself, she is also deeply human, and admitted that as recently as last year she was “afraid” to live her life after a barrage of negative comments on social media. (Rule No. 1: stay out of the comments.)

“I was afraid to go live, I was afraid to post a picture, I was afraid to go to the club, and then the next day seeing people, what they going to say about me, and everything,” she said. “I was afraid to do everything.”

She cited an example, expressing her frustrations over a Valentine’s Day outing with her estranged husband, Offset. (Cardi confirmed their separation in December.) Cardi said they kissed in their car, and she consequently got red lipstick smudged “everywhere,” per Page Six. To hide it, she covered her face with an iPhone.

“All I see is the next day, ‘Oh, Cardi got her nose done!’” she said. “I don’t even want people to know where the f—k I’m at or what the f—k I’m doing. Every day is some new sh—t.”

Through the ups and downs of 2023, she was reminded that the people she’s in the public eye for aren’t her detractors, but her loyal fans—at that her energy should be directed to the many who celebrate her rather than the ones that don’t. “I should be catering to [the fans], ‘cause you’re the ones that put money in my pocket, and you’re the ones that love me,” she said.

Just this month alone, she’s released more singles than she did in all of 2023: “Like What (Freestyle)” and “Enough (Miami)”—and also confirmed that her next album is on the way after a six-year stretch.

Poking fun at her recent split with Offset (and her great outfit), the “Bongos” singer posted an Instagram slideshow of her bold revenge dress with the caption, “What’s love got to do with it?” and a cheeky winky face emoji. The custom dress combines two of the brand’s styles, the Abanico Gown and the Belt Illusion, and features a high neck with sharp cut-outs on the top of the bodice and down the back with the overlapping mismatched belt print throughout. The one-of-a-kind mesh dress had fringe and beaded details that gave the dress an overall edgy feel.

Cardi styled her optical illusion revenge dress with black stiletto strappy heels and gothic diamond cross earrings. For her New Year's Eve glam, she wore her hair parted to one side in voluminous curls and added 90’s skinny brows, green contacts, and bejeweled nails.

Syndical Chamber is based out of Spain and spearheaded by designer Sergio Castano Peña, who describes his designs as “[created] under the values of inclusivity, difference-embracing, and freedom for all" and that "each one of those garments are made for you to be seen.” Other celebrity fans of the brand include Ashley Graham, Bebe Rhexa, and Nathy Peluso. It's always fun to see A-listers stray from the typical couture week gowns and popular styles, and Syndical Chamber's illusion-like styles are certainly worth paying attention, too.

Take a cue from Cardi B: Revenge dressing can be whatever you need it to be. Whether a LBD, fur coat, or mesh surprise, there's no denying a great outfit can be a much-needed confidence booster after a bad breakup.

Earlier this week, Cardi B confirmed that she and Offset had split, but that’s not where her candid comments about her now ex ended. Yesterday, she had a message for Offset—shared on Instagram Live—which led to her breaking down in tears, Entertainment Tonight reports.

During the Live, Cardi’s face didn’t appear on the video, “but she could be heard speaking directly to the camera,” the outlet reports.

“A mo— fu— will play in your f—king face, over and over again, until you be like, ‘Watch what I’m about to do, watch what I’m about to say,’” she said. “This mo— fu— really like to play games with me when I’m at my most vulnerable time. When I’m not the most confident.”

Cardi continued her message, noting that she didn’t do anything the day prior (Thursday) while he celebrated his birthday with a star-studded party: “He like to play games with me ‘cause he knows I’m not an easy girl,” she continued. “He knows, yesterday, I could have been out, I could have been chilling, I could have been doing this and that. He knows I’m in my house. He knows that I’m chilling. He knows I’m not doing the most.”

She then became emotional as she expressed that she has been holding back when it comes to “sparing” Offset. “You been f—king feeling yourself you b—h a— n— because your b—h a— album and s—t and you really been f—king doing me, doing me dirty,” she said before crying. “After so many f—king years that I mo— f—king helped your a—, not even a f—king thank you that I got from your b—h a—.”

She ended by saying that she has to take to the internet because “whenever I f—king tell you something, you don’t take s— seriously.” In addition to Instagram Live, she also took to X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) to address her husband in a tweet that has since been deleted: “@OffsetYRN you a b—h a— n—…and trust me imma f—kn take it there,” she wrote.

Fans took note that the couple’s relationship might be on its last legs after Offset and Cardi unfollowed each other on social media at the beginning of the month. “I have been afraid to…not afraid, but I just don’t know how to tell the world,” Cardi said earlier this week when announcing their split. “I feel like today has been like a sign. The last time I got on Live I kind of wanted to tell you but I didn’t know how to tell you, so I changed my mind.”

The now ex-couple married in 2017 and share children Kulture and Wave; during the course of their marriage, Cardi has filed for divorce twice.

Cardi B is known for many things from her fans: jaw-dropping outfits, incredible music, and complete honesty. That honesty came into play in her latest Instagram Live, where she confirmed for fans that she and longtime partner Offset had broken up.

The pair have been married since 2017 and share two children together. They initially split in 2018, shortly after the birth of their daughter, Kulture. At the time, Offset had been at the center of cheating allegations at the time for which he issued a public apology. The pair seemingly worked things out; they later filed for divorce in 2020, before deciding to try again.

Recently though fans believed that Cardi was dropping hints that everything wasn't perfect in paradise. Last week, the singer posted cryptic messages on her Instagram, including “You know when you just outgrow a relationship” and “I’m tired of protecting people’s feelings. I gotta put myself first."

Social media detectives quickly discovered that the pair were no longer following one another on Instagram. Then Offset was inspired to do some Instagram stories of his own, including a scene from Scarface about being unable to trust people.

Cardi finally addressed the matter in an Instagram Live. She said that she had struggled to open up about this but felt like she received signs that it was time to be honest. She didn't specify when she and Offset broke up or if they've filed for divorce, but said she's "been single for a minute."

Cardi seemed somber when discussing the breakup but also hopeful for the future. She rounded it off by saying, "I want to start 2024 fresh and open. I don’t know. I’m curious for a new life, a new beginning, and yeah, I am excited.”

Fans supported the singer in the breakup. One user wrote, "If this is true she’s going to be the biggest star in the world, I always felt like he was holding her back."

If you’re wondering where the A-list celebrity crowd was yesterday—Kim Kardashian! Kendall Jenner! Salma Hayek! Nicole Kidman!—they were in L.A. for the debut of Balenciaga’s Fall 2024 collection, where the brand’s creative designer Demna took on L.A.’s fashion codes, ranging from activewear to grunge to evening wear.

Other boldfaced names in attendance included Eva Longoria, Tracee Ellis Ross, Teyana Taylor, Lil Wayne, Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz, Zooey Deschanel, and Ashley Graham—but the standout among standouts was Cardi B, who made a surprise appearance on the runway, modeling a furry cobalt blue floor-length coat with black Knife boots in her runway debut. The rapper name-checks Balenciaga in her song “I Like It” and became a face of the brand in 2020; after the show—Balenciaga’s debut show in L.A.—Cardi B hosted a late-night after-party. Brigitte Nielsen also unexpectedly hit the runway, though this was decidedly not her catwalk debut. (Nielsen has modeled since the early 1980s.)

Balenciaga worked with Jacob & Co. on a jewelry collaboration, and, interestingly, also teamed up with organic retailer Erewhon for limited-release totes and clothing, People reports.

It’s a strong show of support for Demna and Balenciaga following the house’s 2022 “Gift Collection” campaign, which supported Balenciaga’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection. One ad featured children holding teddy bears in leather bondage gear; another ad was office-themed and involved a reference to a Supreme Court case on child pornography.

Kardashian was named a Balenciaga ambassador in February 2022 and went edgy for yesterday’s show, wearing nude pantaleggings layered with black lace, a nude high-neck top, and a black Balenciaga logo jacket. Her younger sister Jenner wore a black sleeveless Balenciaga gown with a sweeping black cape. Hayek wore a black ruched dress, neon pink Knife court heels, and a Balenciaga Hourglass bag, and the brand’s new ambassador Kidman wore a black fitted dress with double-breasted fastenings at the front, black gloves, sheer black tights, and black Knife court heels.

“Balenciaga has been with me through some of the most memorable events in my life, from my wedding to the Oscars red carpet,” Kidman said in a statement on her new ambassadorship. As referenced, Kidman wore Balenciaga when she married husband Keith Urban in 2006, a custom-made look by the brand’s then-creative director Nicholas Ghesquiere.

The show took place on a mansion-lined street with a direct view of the Hollywood sign, The Hollywood Reporter writes. The exact location of the neighborhood turned runway is in the upscale Hancock Park neighborhood, and Variety adds that residents on the block were paid $1,000 per house for the inconvenience.

“The collection was amazing,” Kardashian said. And, as someone who would know, she gave the ultimate stamp of approval: “It was very, very L.A.”

For some reason, certain concertgoers have recently decided that throwing stuff at artists performing on stage is a good idea. Thankfully, most people who witness this "trend" are firmly of the opinion that this is a terrible idea and needs to stop—the artists themselves included.

During a recent Cardi B concert at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas, one person in the front row apparently deliberately threw their drink all over Cardi, with videos of the incident going viral.

The rapper seemed briefly taken aback, then threw her microphone at the person before security got involved.

After Pop Crave posted a video of this on Twitter, people were quick to share their opinions on the whole ordeal.

"she did what needed to be done ! people need to stop throwing stuff at performers !" said one person.

"people seriously need to stop throwing stuff on stage at celebs!" agreed another.

"this trend of attending female artists sets just to attack them is disgusting and i hope everyone participating gets that energy BACK," said another.

This comes after Pink had someone's actual ashes thrown at her while she was performing in London, and after artists including Bebe Rexha, Ava Max and Kelsea Ballerini were all hurt by fans throwing objects at them on stage.

Having witnessed this trend, Adele told her audience exactly how she would react if they dared try this on her.

"Have you noticed how people are, like, forgetting f***ing show etiquette at the moment, and just throwing sh*t on stage? Have you seen that?" the superstar said during a recent date of her Vegas residency.

"I f***ing dare you—I dare you to throw something at me. I'll f***ing kill you."
