The Spring 2026 style featured the same interlocked Cs as the Maxi Flap, except on a smaller top flap.

Jude Bellingham's Louis Vuitton Keepall

Pre-World Cup photos showed no shortage of Louis Vuitton suitcases. Instead, England's Jude Bellingham chose a monogrammed Keepall Bandoulière 45, a 2010s travel go-to of Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid. Bellingham's version of the popular duffle bag boasted the brand's signature chocolate brown leather monogram with a striking black trim.

Michael Olise's Hermès Birkin 40

Michael Olise's Hermès Birkin stood a few inches taller than typical HAC 40s, which suggests it could be from the Taurillon Clemence line. The bag's height also makes it trickier to track down. Sotheby's just sold a similar style for $28,000.

Pedro Neto styled a black T-shirt and a navy suit with a Hermès Criss HAC Birkin 40. The style is eye-catching for the way the untreated Fauve Barenia leather top of the tote (a Birkin signature) gives way to a beige canvas body. Manu Koné's Goyard Bag

Dior, Bottega Veneta, and Hermès were all present and accounted for during Team France's flight. But the trophy for "Smallest World Cup Bag" went to Manu Koné of France. Maxence Lacroix may be French, but he has a soft spot for Italian label Bottega Veneta. He arrived at the Le Bourget Airport near Paris with the black Andiamo Messenger Bag, complete with the brand's signature woven Intrecciato leather and silver hardware. Lacroix carried the style by its top-handle straps, while an elongated crossbody band floated freely.

Anne Hathaway recently announced that she's pregnant with her third child. Following a busy year promoting The Devil Wears Prada 2 and Mother Mary, the actress embarked on the press tour for Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey alongside Zendaya. Stepping out in London, it was evident that Hathaway's summer maternity style is exceedingly romantic.

Last October, Chanel's Maxi Flap Bag made its runway debut alongside cap-toe pumps. Now, the classic carry-all can't stop elevating summer shoe trends like heeled flip-flops and soft loafers. On June 29, Chanel's It bag took one of fashion's most divisive designs under its calfskin leather wing: Kaia Gerber's Ugg boots reached ballet flat levels of luxe with her Maxi Flap.

Six weeks after Chanel's best-seller joined Gerber's collection, the two are still very much in the honeymoon phase. Translation: She's still styling the Chanel bag everywhere, including a Monday morning spa session in Beverly Hills. Gerber was spotted post-facial in a cropped black cardigan, matching easy pants, and the top-flap tote fashion girls could ID from a mile away.

She carried the same $9,300, burgundy Maxi Flap in Kendall Jenner's closet, beloved for its slim shoulder straps, bottomless rectangular body, and minimalist branding. The French label's interlocking "C" clasp came in yellow gold, just like the original Spring 2026 style. Despite the four-figure price tag, its structured yet slouchy silhouette matched the effortless, "I just threw this on" energy of her entire off-duty outfit. Yes, even her Uggs.

Gerber's Chanel bag and Ugg boots have more in common than you might think. For instance, her Classic Micro Boots seem to be as brand-new as her Maxi Flap. She styled the low-profile, sheepskin-lined pair in the "Chestnut" color on the Oct. 2025 set of The Shards. These soft suede shoes, however, seem to be a few shades lighter than their $150 predecessors. The model's "Sand" color is also a bit more wallet-friendly, retailing for $139.95 right now.

At this point, Gerber's Uggs collection is nearing its fifth birthday. Contrary to fellow Ugg girls, Selena Gomez, Dua Lipa, and Jennifer Lawrence, she skipped right past calf-length Classic Short II boots in favor of shorter shafts. Pairing under-$200 Uggs with buzzy designer bags has always been a Kaia Gerber Classic. In 2021, not one, not two, but three different Celine purses were spotted on L.A. strolls with her cropped, pull-tab Ugg boots.

Much like Gomez, Lipa, and Lawrence, Gerber is still widening her Ugg horizons. In April 2025, she traded Micro Boots for even easier, Rihanna-approved Tasman Slippers. The grab-and-go slides have been MIA since last summer, though. But if Micro Boots can match the Maxi Flap's uncomplicated charm, who's to say Tasmans can't, too?

I have one motto for this summer and one motto only: "When I’m outside, it’s lip gloss and vibes." Of course, this means that only the best of the best formulas will be in my tiny purse this summer, and it’s like Chanel heard my cries and decided to release (or, in this case, re-release) one of my favorite new makeup products just in time: The Rouge Coco Hydra Gloss, a new iteration of its famous lip formula that is replacing the previous version, the Rouge Coco Gloss Moisturizing Glossimers.

As with all iconic beauty product reformulations, I was pretty skeptical about the change at first, because in my eyes, the previous formula was pretty much perfect. But Chanel Beauty has officially made me eat my words, and you heard it here first: I adore this new iteration.

While the previous version had a lot of tackiness, I found it wasn't as shiny as some of my thicker formulas, like M.A.C.’s lipglass. This meant I had to reapply quite often to get the shine I was looking for. Still, that was never a problem for me, because who doesn’t want to take out their absolutely adorable Chanel lip gloss and have a main-character moment at the function? Exactly. Still, this new formula takes my love of this lip gloss to new heights, and if you were also skeptical about this reformulation, don't worry: you’re about to love this new version, too.

​I get into the specifics of this new formula ahead, and if the forthcoming holiday weekend has activated the shoppies for you, I also recommend a few additional Chanel Beauty products that I simply can’t stop obsessing over.

The Formula

As is to be expected from a gloss, the formula is viscous and imparts a latex-like shine on the lips. There are 18 shades to choose from, ranging from milky pinks to deep reds, and even a few unexpected colors like the jade-green hue Éclectique. It’s a solid offering that’s perfect for the everyday makeup enthusiast and professional artists alike, so anyone should be able to find their new go-to color.

There appear to be two finishes in the line—one that’s glittery and the other that’s more of a subtle shimmer. My only gripe with the line is that the colors in the former category, while they provide a glassy, mirror-like shine, feel a tiny bit gritty on the lips. It’s not to the point where it feels like I just put on a lip scrub, and it’s not so disruptive that I don't want to use the formula. However, it is noticeable enough for me to be cognizant of it, so if you’re also one of those people who have slight sensory issues as I do, I highly recommend testing these glosses in person before purchasing.

The Ingredients

This formula boasts what Chanel calls the Hydra-Peptide Complex, which, according to the ingredient list, appears to be a combination of various oils and waxes. You’ll find hibiscus and camellia seed oil, both of which are extremely moisturizing and reinforce the lip’s moisture barrier. These glosses also contain sunflower seed and rice wax, both of which lock in moisture without added weight and help boost the gloss's shine. Top this off with additional ingredients like C10-30 cholesterol/lanosterol and jojoba esters, which soften the lips and act as an emollient, respectively, and you have a recipe for one of the shiniest, lightweight lip gloss formulas on the market.

The Application

The application is as flawless as it’s always been. There’s a doe-foot applicator that helps dispense the product onto the lips with ease, and its slight divet ensures it hugs each lip perfectly. It also dispenses the perfect amount of product with each swipe, as even when I build up the layers of gloss that I have on, I just get more shine, never too much excess product to the point where it feels sticky or goopy on my mouth.

The Takeaway

We can all take a big sigh of relief that one of the best high-end glosses on the market is still as good as we all remember it being (dare I say that it’s even better?). The shine these provide is light-years ahead of the previous formula, and while some shades were discontinued (Rose Naif, you have my heart), the replacements are practically the same, so there are really no gaps in the color range. It’s a relaunch that has earned my stamp of approval. But while you’re shopping the new line, it doesn't hurt to stock up on a few more of my favorites from the brand below, right?

When it's time to refresh my beachwear wardrobe, I'm not just perusing the bikini department. I'm also in the market for cool-girl cover-ups to match the biggest swimsuit trends. Chanel loaned stylist Tara Swennen and Stewart Look 69: an off-the-shoulder, little black sweater dress stacked over matching shorts. Red, black, and ivory stripes decorated the neckline, cuffs, and mini skirt in true French Riviera form.

From there, her bottoms mirrored the skintight silhouette of biker shorts. Don't miss the intricate, ribbed texture that connected the multicolor two-piece. The Twilight star's black, croc-embossed belt didn't just cinch her waist. Its interlocked Cs confirmed—to all untrained eyes—that she was indeed decked out in Chanel.

Like most of her Blazy-era Chanel looks, Stewart shifted the original runway set ever so slightly—first, by stretching the neckline below her shoulder. Then, the statement belt transformed from stark white to black. The actor accessorized with monogrammed, wired sunglasses.

She also opted out of a handbag, even the Chanel Maxi Flap that's sweeping the It girl nation. The croc, top-handle trunk seen during the April 2026 show stayed behind, too. For her finishing touch, Stewart swapped cap-toe flats for black, Chanel-branded loafers.

Trading shoe trends is one of her favorite ways to Stewart-ify an outfit from the French fashion house. She did the same at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, switching the runway model's stilettos for black-and-white Nike Oxford sneakers.

So far, only a select few fashion girls have gotten the chance to wear Chanel's Cruise 2027 collection. Before Stewart, Marion Cotillard walked the Cannes Film Festival red carpet in the line's leather dress; Camila Morrone styled a semi-sheer slip at the Tribeca Artists Film Festival dinner; and Penélope Cruz pulled off a Canadian tuxedo last weekend in L.A.

79 pieces—spanning from knit rompers and '20s-inspired swimwear to raffia totes and mermaid dresses—promised Chanel girls' closets no shortage of summer styles. The collection offers so much swimsuit cover-up potential, too. It won't reach boutiques for a few months, but the curated edit below gives major Chanel Cruise energy, if I do say so myself.

Dua Lipa's second wedding celebration—which took place in the Sicilian capital of Palermo—was an undeniably glamorous affair. To wed actor Callum Turner, Lipa wore a custom Chanel wedding gown created specifically for the bride by the fashion house's creative director, Matthieu Blazy.

The "Levitating" singer was an early proponent of Blazy's Chanel designs, and her couture wedding gown marks the creative director's first major wedding dress creation. Notably, the halter wedding gown was adorned with 480,000 beads and jewels, which took Lesage 1,155 hours to embroider, via @stylenotcom. Additionally, Lemarié provided an incredible 25,000 feathers to embellish the gown.

Lipa's wedding gown—which included a long two-meter train—was handcrafted at Chanel's flagship headquarters at 31 Rue Cambon in Paris. The singer's delicately embroidered wedding veil measured in at six meters, and was prominently featured in her Instagram post regarding her nuptials.

Finally, the singer's white satin wedding pumps were custom-made by bespoke shoemaker Massaro Paris for Chanel. Lipa is styled by Lorenzo Posocco.

Prior to heading to Italy, Lipa and Turner tied the knot in a private civil ceremony at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London on Sunday, May 31, 2026. For her low-key nuptials, the pop star donned a custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture outfit, designed by Daniel Roseberry, which included a blush bustier.

Prior to wearing Chanel for her wedding, Lipa has worn creative director Blazy designs on a multitude of occasions. Not only is she the face of the Chanel 25 bag, which she's regularly seen carrying, Lipa was front and center at Blazy's Haute Couture Week debut in January 2026.

First, Holmes styled a sleeveless tank top, in an airy, gold-meets-beige linen. Contrary to Kylie Jenner or Anya Taylor-Joy's tanks, Holmes's pick wasn't skintight in the slightest. Only its crystalized collar clung close to her neck.

A neutral this warm-toned felt fresh for Holmes. So, she grounded it in sleek safe bets like high-rise black trousers. She's always relied on this specific wide-leg silhouette at A-list fashion affairs, including the Barbour x Tuckernuck launch party last fall, and the American Image Awards in April 2026. This pair stood out for its chocolate brown, almost burgundy belt from Chanel's Spring 2026 collection.

Next, the Dawson's Creek alum Chanel-ified the plain pants with one of the label's leading house codes: cap-toe pumps. 90-percent of the four-figure heels were shade-matched to Holmes's tank top. Then, an itty-bitty sliver of stark white shined atop each almond-shaped toe box. Her two-tone pair is very similar to the Chanel stilettos on fashion search engine Lyst's "Hottest Products" of Q1 list.

To complete her cream-colored trio, Holmes got her hands on Chanel's $5,100 Small Bowling Bag. Despite debuting on the Spring 2026 runway late last year, the spherical shoulder style remains somewhat underrated by fashion girls. Chanel collectors like Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner, and Margot Robbie went straight for the Maxi Flap Bag instead. But now, with Holmes's endorsement and small bag season in full swing, perhaps the Bowling Bag will finally get its flowers.

Katie Holmes has been a Chanel girl for almost two decades, but she's really shining under Matthieu Blazy's reign. Last weekend, she traded her trusty button-downs again for a short-sleeve sweater top. Much like her latest Chanel look, Holmes tucked its ribbed hemline into black jeans. (Perhaps they're the same Chanel pair Margot Robbie wore last month.)

Clearly, Holmes and Blazy share similar tastes in basics. Last night's linen top checked every box on their wishlists: It was effortless, slightly oversize, and seemingly season-less. Plus, it gave the cotton classics some chic, but not too complicated competition. Even if I don't have a Chanel budget, I know I want to channel this look all summer.

Shop Linen Tank Top Outfits Inspired by Katie Holmes

At Chanel's second showing of its latest Métiers d'Art collection, held at Seoul's Centre Pompidou Hanwha, front row guests and online commentators expected to obsess over details like a sequin appliqué on a Chanel Maxi Flap bag or silk that perfectly mimicked a pair of faded jeans. By the show's end, all anyone could talk about was a gesture.

As model Sora Choi lapped the museum in a flapper-inspired white dress, the same Chanel look recently worn by Marie Claire cover star Ashley Graham—and two-strap sandal heels, her hands rose to cradle her midsection—universal shorthand for "I'm pregnant." Shortly after, her mid-runway pregnancy reveal lit up industry accounts like @hautelemode. General observers around the world were all awed by Mom's graceful announcement and Baby's future closet. "Baby's first Chanel!" the comments screamed. For me, a fashion editor who frequently reports on runway size inclusivity and a first-time expecting mother myself, there was much more to Chanel casting a pregnant model than a very chic baby on board.

Bodies beyond a sample size are increasingly rare on fashion's most prestigious runways. At the Fall 2026 fashion shows, non-straight size casting hit an all-time low. In this world, women who are pregnant might as well not exist. Inclusivity stats tabulated by Vogue Business each season don't include pregnancy because it's flat-out not included in high-fashion casting. Maternity clothes, at Paris or Milan Fashion Week? It's too groundbreaking for most labels to fathom. Never mind that expecting moms, like every other demographic within womanhood, could be a potential customer for the label. And, models have just as much freedom to become mothers as any other woman working in fashion.

When women who are expecting do turn up at a glossy fashion show, it's often a one-off. Someone with a big name makes a reveal, like Jasmine Tookes' at the 2025 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, without another casting to follow it up.

The first major exception to the rule takes shape at Copenhagen Fashion Week's primarily women-led calendar, where I've observed moms-to-be walking the runways each season alongside models of varied body types and physical abilities. (Inclusive casting is written into the event's requirements, unlike other markets.) And now, there's a second exception: Chanel.

Choi, it turns out, isn't the first model to display a changing pregnancy body on a Chanel runway this spring. In late April, Kaya Wilkins modeled Chanel's Cruise 2027 collection with her bouclé jacket fully unbuttoned, highlighting her five-month bump beneath a black bralette. At the time, she told Vogue her child was "the world's youngest runway model." And, more tellingly, that the Chanel team had sought out a mom-to-be to spotlight its latest collection: "Matthieu [Blazy] and Anita [Bitton], the casting director, were looking for someone pregnant, so I was quite lucky to have a little bump on me," she said.

Wilkins and Choi's back-to-back castings are part of a broader expansion of who gets to be a Chanel woman, both on and off the runway. Since joining the house almost one year ago, creative director Matthieu Blazy has emphasized castings that break away from the predominantly young, white, and thin mold that defines the industry overall. Mature models in their 50s and 60s, like Stephanie Cavalli, appeared in the Fall 2026 and Haute Couture runways. Bhavitha Mandava, an NYU Masters student, was plucked off a subway platform to open the 2026 Métiers d'Art show—the first Indian model to do so. (Chanel did not reply to a request for comment elaborating on their recent castings; this story will be updated if they do.)

These runways aren't perfectly representative of real life, but they paint a broader picture than eras past. In an interview with The New York Times, discussing age inclusivity, Blazy said mature models "bring a completely different dimension to the clothes." Meaning age isn't the disadvantage the fashion industry implies it is; it adds character and depth to the styling. The same can be said for bringing expecting mothers to the runway.

These days, the women modeling Chanel's latest collections are earning as much hype as the It bags and pony hair flats. They're a sign that fashion can reflect the realities of womanhood without giving up the luxury fantasy of a far-flung show and expertly crafted materials. Suddenly, I'm expecting a lot more out of other runways' casting.

Thankfully, clear bags weren't strictly required at Game 4 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. Kylie Jenner cheered for the New York Knicks on May 25 with an opaque Chanel It bag in tow. Without the four-figure good luck charm, Timothée Chalamet's hometown team might've never defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers and advanced to the NBA Finals.

Jenner and her boyfriend filled Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's courtside seats inside Cleveland's Rocket Arena. Contrary to Kelce, a longtime Cavs fan, both VIPs were decked out in Knicks gear. Still, one neutral accessory stood out in a sea of blue and orange. Jenner brought Chanel's Small Shopping Bag in black, croc-embossed leather to a history-making game. (The win secured the Knicks a spot in the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999.) It was the most elevated and eye-catching piece in her Game 4 outfit, alongside a Knicks graphic tee and mid-wash jeans.

Technically, the Spring 2026 style stood a few inches taller than the bag policy allows, but at least she didn't bring the Chanel Maxi Flap Bag. The roomy carry-all (beloved by herself, Kendall Jenner, and Hailey Bieber) would've required another seat. Jenner's glossy take on the east-west trend featured the same interlocking Cs and elongated straps as the new, Matthieu Blazy-era Maxi Flap. It even debuted on the same runway.

However, its crimson-lined interior was noticeably flap-free, and it would set you back $7,300. That's a full $1,200 less than its super-sized sister. The Kylie Cosmetics founder's exact color hasn't hit Chanel stores yet, so brace yourself for another shopping frenzy. Right now, it's available in croc-embossed mint green and the same smooth burgundy as Kendall Jenner's Chanel Maxi Flap.

Before yesterday's 37-point sweep, Jenner only brought Hermès or Dior bags to Knicks games with her boyfriend. Earlier this month, she gave her jeans and tank top outfit the Knicks treatment with orange Miu Miu mules and a navy blue Hermès Birkin. Much like her Chanel shoulder style, its super shiny, Porosus croc-embossed exterior could be seen by fans in the nosebleed seats. Knowing exactly what to pack for a trip is no mean feat, but Hailey Bieber appears to be a professional when it comes to the task. Case in point: currently in Seoul, South Korea, with husband Justin Bieber, Hailey's already debuted a plethora of super-cute and chic outfits.

The Rhode founder—who is styled by Dani Michelle—shared a selection of photos from the trip on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse of some of the looks she chose for the occasion. In two snaps captured in a convenience store, Hailey could be seen wearing Toteme's Kick Flare Trousers with a long-sleeve sheer crochet top.

The model's accessories included a vintage Mercedes-Benz baseball cap and the footwear she was married to throughout 2025—her heeled Toteme thong flip-flops, which retail for $560.

Additional snaps showed Bieber pairing her heeled flip-flops with a cream leather blazer and a light beige Chanel Large Bowling Bag, created from calfskin and featuring gold-tone metal, from the fashion house's Spring/Summer 2026 collection.

A quick stop for iced coffee necessitated another outfit change. Bieber swapped her Chanel Bowling Bag for an animal-print bag from Matthieu Blazy's much-coveted Métiers d'Art collection. An archival Alaïa trench coat from 1986, sourced by It's My Sisters Vintage, completed the day-off look.

For jewelry, Hailey opted for a custom necklace featuring son Jack's name, which was created by Alex Moss New York.

The closer celebrities get to the 2026 Cannes Film Festival's final day, the nakeder their red carpet looks become. Bella Hadid couldn't take it anymore on May 20, so she proudly defied the dress code in a semi-sheer crochet Schiaparelli gown. Hours later, Marion Cotillard snuck past the same "no nudity" regulators in a nearly-naked black dress from Chanel.

Well, well, well, if it isn't the consequences of Cannes' own actions. Tell fashion girls to revoke the naked dress trend, and they're going to show extra skin just to spite the dress code. Cotillard did just that at the Roma Elastica premiere, with help from Chanel and stylist Eliott Bliss. Creative director Matthieu Blazy made the sleeveless, boatneck style just opaque enough around her bust and bottom, that way she was less likely to get stopped before ascending those iconic Cannes stairs.

Then, the intricately-crocheted design turned transparent, similar to Hadid's Schiaparelli skirt. Perhaps each woven, spider web-esque diamond—and the texture they added to her silhouette—is precisely how Cotillard got away with it. The dress's hypnotizing pattern stretched from its double-lined lingerie, beyond the semi-sheer skirt, and onto a fringed, full-coverage train. It was so opaque, the French actress's pointy satin pumps were barely visible.

To finish, Cotillard added elongated, back-button diamond earrings from Chanel's circa-2024 Haute Joaillerie Sport collection. She became a brand ambassador back in Feb. 2020, so it's no surprise she earned access to the archives.

Cotillard rarely comes to Cannes unless her luggage is overflowing with Chanel. She's been flaunting the atelier's designs all around the French Riviera since 2018. Over the years, a black-and-white jumpsuit, a metallic peplum maxi dress, and a sequin-scalloped gown have secured her spots on various best-dressed lists.

2026 has been another Chanel-heavy Cannes for the red carpet regular. Just last week, Cotillard switched things up in an anti-naked, tea-length dress from Chanel's Cruise 2027 show, which debuted less than a month ago. Every element—from the V-shaped neckline to the fringed hemline—was sculpted from glossy leather. Interlaced, yellow-gold Cs atop her hips declared her a loud and proud Chanel girl.

Peekaboo sneakers—the festival's biggest red carpet no-no—made the actor's look even more jaw-dropping. Put all these looks together, and the Cannes organizers might just have to walk back the dress code for good.

Some fashion girls would call this time of year "peak baby tee season." I, however, prefer my early-summer shirts loose and airy, like halter tops. My hero item already influenced Kaia Gerber to save her baby tees for another night out. On May 18, she debuted the under-$200 halter top I'll be wearing with jeans outfits all summer long.

The reigning queen of c*nty little crop tops wore something a touch more timeless at a Beverly Hills dinner with Therapuss podcast host Jake Shane. Her baby tee alternative? The $198 Tara Shawl Top from L.A.-based label All My Love. Crafted from cozy, ivory-colored cashmere, the sleeveless style wrapped around her neck as effortlessly as a scarf. Extra fabric atop her torso added visual interest to the otherwise colorless cashmere, while the open back remained on full display.

The model matched the top's fluidity with low-rise jeans that bridged the gap between baggy and straight-leg. This pair was tailored right in line with Gerber's beloved ballet flats from Repetto. They're not just any suede slip-ons with rounded, bow-tied toe boxes and two-centimeter-high block heels. Gerber chose the $440 Kaia Ballet Flats, which she launched with the celebrity-beloved Parisian brand two months ago. She re-wore them with almost-identical jeans and a black jacket last weekend.

To finish, Gerber used her white halter as a blank canvas behind her new Chanel Maxi Flap Bag. She chose the burgundy version, perhaps after seeing it on Kendall Jenner's shoulder last week. Even her bestie, Shane, got in on the hot ticket item with a matching four-figure Flap.

Gerber adores baby tees so much she designed her own. But halter tops—and the silhouette as a whole—are as present in her regular rotation as ballet flats. Australian brand With Jéan is behind some of her favorite halters, including the polka-dotted, butter yellow top she wore to the 2025 Venice Film Festival last August. Two months later, the actor posed at a Palm Royale premiere in a polka-dotted halter dress from Dries Van Noten. Much like her latest top, it decorated her neckline like a shawl would, and left her back bare.

As recently as this March, Gerber gave her evening-out essential—the little black dress—the halter treatment with help from With Jéan again. Trust: She's stocked for another halter-heavy summer, and I'm swearing off baby tees in response.
