For those of us who are a 10-hour flight away from Doechii's set, the Grammy winner shared close-ups of her spiciest show look yet. Stylist Sam Woolf began with a halter-neck bra top that was more net than undergarment. Crocheted purple flowers and matching beadwork embellished the delicate design. She accessorized with a multi-strap, gold body chain which hung down below her intricate top.

As the who's who of the music industry gathered in Los Angeles last night to celebrate the 68th Grammy Awards, I was obviously zoned in on every detail decorating the fingertips of the attendees who circled the red carpet. While most stars opted for neutral tones like milky pinks, sheer whites, and classic French manicures, Doechii unsurprisingly opted for something a little different by mixing two bold design elements: chrome and leopard.

The "Anxiety" singer was up for a handful of awards last night, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year, and she showed up wearing a '90s-inspired Roberto Cavalli gown that featured an earthy red lace bodice and a deep purple bustle with a frilly train. That's not to say that her glam wasn't also applause-worthy.

Doechii wore a chocolate brown hair color that was styled in springy curls that were pulled up into a pineapple updo, and she wore warm-toned makeup on her eyes and lips. Her nail art for the night was even more mesmerizing. To match the vintage theme of her makeup and gown, the rapper wore a short French manicure that swapped out the traditional white tips for chrome. And, of course, she didn't stop there. An increasing amount of celebrities are ditching dark nail colors for lighter, neutral tones, but Doechii, of course, isn't the only person to lean heavily into the leopard print trend this season. In addition to winning her first-ever Grammy and bestowing one of the best performances in the award show’s history upon the world, the rapper also gave a fashion tour de force last year in five custom Thom Browne looks.

Doechii hit the 2025 Grammys red carpet in an off-the-shoulder, charcoal-gray pinstripe gown with peaked hips and corseting down the back, which she wore over a white Oxford button-down shirt with Browne’s signature red, white, and blue armband. To start, Doechii’s hair was styled in long lemonade braids, a look popularized by Beyoncé in 2016 after she wore a similar style in her Formation music video. Her latest jaw-dropper came on day four of the 2025 Glastonbury Festival. On June 28, the Grammy winner performed her chart-topping hits to over 200,000 people, changing from one Vivienne Westwood look to another. The British label designed three costumes for Doechii, two of which drew inspiration from the iconic Spring 1994 collection titled "Café Society." Over 30 years ago, the runway show reimagined 19th century Victorian-era dress through a liberated lens. Doechii brought this theme back to life, starting with a micro-mini skirt made famous by Kate Moss.

The superstar made her Glastonbury debut in an itty-bitty pinstripe skirt that stopped mid-thigh, which marked a clear tribute to the supermodel. So far, Kim Kardashian, Gigi Hadid, Sydney Sweeney, Kylie Jenner, and most recently, Doechii have sported the same design in multiple Y2K-coded colors. Sure, the Spring 2024 season has come and gone, but on June 9 at the 2025 BET Awards, Doechii proved the set's staying power.

Yesterday, the "Denial Is A River" singer swept the 24th annual ceremony, taking home the trophies for Female Hip-Hop Artist, Video of the Year, Collaboration, Album of the Year, Viewer's Choice, and BET Her. She did so in mainly Miu Miu, thanks to her stylist, Sam Woolf.

"In the last four or five months, we've really created this aesthetic and mood board and have been bouncing ideas off of each other for this preppy office siren world," Woolf told Harper's Bazaar in a Dec. 2024 interview discussing his star client's style. Miu Miu's catalog complements Doechii's avant-prep aesthetic to a T, as evidenced by her latest look. On top, the 26-year-old chose the red bandana, lined in metallic gold along the triangular hem. Similar to the runway model, Doechii slipped on the matching midi skirt, complete with oversized pleats and gold trim. She upped the early-aughts energy with the double-belt trend, plus slim sunglasses, chunky hoop earrings, and statement bangles in various shades and sizes. To finish, the Grammy winner wore slingback heels from Jimmy Choo, adorned with blue flower corsages.

Later than evening, Doechii took center stage with Miu Miu's Hadid-approved Arcadie bag in tow. She used one of her acceptance speeches to "speak up for all oppressed people," including Black people, Latino people, trans people, people in Gaza, and those affected by the ICE raids. "Trump is using military forces to stop a protest," Doechii said in her speech. "I want you all to consider what kind of government it appears to be when every time we exercise our democratic right to protest, the military is deployed against us.”

The rapper frequently uses her platform to make big statements, especially during award season. At the 2025 Grammy Awards, she dedicated her Best Rap Album win to Black women. "I know that there is some Black girl out there, so many Black women out there that are watching me right now, and I want to tell you, you can do it, anything is possible," she shared on stage. "You're exactly who you need to be to be right where you are and I am a testimony."

The outfit Doechii chose for her now-viral speech has been around since Oct. 2023, so it's unsurprisingly made the rounds among the celebrity set. Of all the really really ridiculously good-looking A-listers hitting the red carpet for the 2025 Met Gala, there's one in particular we couldn't wait to see: Doechii, in her first ever appearance at fashion's biggest night. The Grammy-winning rapper stepped out for "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" looking as glamorous as ever, wearing Louis Vuitton once again, with equally fabulous makeup and hair to match. Truly, Doechii's voluminous afro was one of the night's best hair looks, even though she decided to step away from the kiss curl trend and do her own thing (which tracks perfectly).

It's not surprising that Doechii pulled out all the stops for tonight's glam, as she arrived to the official Met Gala pre-party on Friday, May 2, in a custom Louis Vuitton skirt suit that she accessorized with more than $4,000 of LV pieces, paying subtle homage to iconic Vogue editor, OG dandy, and Louis Vuitton uberfan André Leon Talley. Her sculpted cheeks, burgundy lipstick, and long, bouncy curls were the epitome of bold, carefree beauty, and served as the perfect preview ahead of the first Monday in May.

Doechii's makeup artist, Dee Carrion, was likely behind this evening's glam, which consisted of glossy nude lips with dark lip liner and a Louis Vuitton logo drawn on her cheek. While ascending the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s iconic steps, the “Anxiety” singer made jaws drop in a sharp Louis Vuitton suit that beautifully honored Black dandyism by way of pristine tailoring. Inspired to portray a “student of hip-hop,” Doechii’s symbolic look showcased a logo-embossed blazer adorned with padded shoulders, a massive burgundy bow attached to a crisp button-down shirt, and a pair of loose-fitting Bermuda shorts.

"It's one of the biggest nights in fashion, and for it to be so Black...I'm present, I'm here," she said before hitting the red carpet.

The Swamp Princess’s trusted stylist Sam Woolf artfully enhanced the intricate outfit with sleek socks and loafers for a preppy feel.

Makeup artist Dee Carrion powdered Doechii’s face with heavy pink blush and a dramatic smoky eye while making sure to exaggerate her look with face tape, a technique that has defined the star’s signature makeup style.

Doechii has already earned a reputation for her experimental fashion choices and an avant-garde aesthetic cultivated with the help of stylist Sam Woolf, who teamed up with the rapper again this weekend, styling the incredible head-to-toe Louis Vuitton look she wore on May 2 as she hosted a Met Weekend party.

Doechii got a jump start on the Met Gala's theme in a tailored, brown custom Louis Vuitton skirt suit that she accessorized with more than $4,000 in additional LV pieces, including a Louis Vuitton Damier Pop Tie, a Louis Vuitton Dynasty Belt, Louis Vuitton Pocket Socks and a pair of Louis Vuitton Lv Record Loafers. She also gave the look a pop of color and whimsy, carrying a basket bag filled with sunflowers.

"Doechii is stupid creative," Woolf told Harper's Bazaar of working with the rapper on her styling. "She has a vision and she knows exactly what she wants—but it's always very collaborative. I'll tell her an idea and she'll say whether or not she sees the vision. In the last four or five months, we've really created this aesthetic and mood board and have been bouncing ideas off of each other for this preppy office siren world."

Doechii continues to prove she's a force to be reckoned with, and this weekend, she did so while wearing a Donna Karan naked dress plucked from the designer's 2014 runway.

Having already smashed the Grammys, and won Outstanding Music Artist at the 2025 GLAAD Awards, the "Denial Is a River" rapper left her mark on the Billboard Women in Music red carpet. Unsurprisingly, Doechii was awarded the Woman of the Year award at the 2025 Billboard Women in Music ceremony, which took place on Saturday, March 29.

For the occasion, Doechii selected a vintage Donna Karan gown, taken from the designer's fall/winter 2014 collection. Her totally sheer, backless, chocolate brown gown featured a number of opaque panels, along with a thigh-high leg slit. Doechii wore her naked gown with a low-slung gold belt.

The musician opted for multi-colored accessories to accentuate her naked gown. While she carried an enviable vintage Fendi baguette, her Manolo Blahnik "Rayaah" Multicolored Cotton Slingback Sandals featured metallic bronze, silver, and pink straps. A selection of multi-colored metallic bangles completed the red carpet outfit, while the singer wore her hair in a sleek updo.

In her speech accepting the Woman of the Year award, Doechii told the audience, "I cannot believe it was just two years ago I stood on this stage right here and accepted the Billboard Rising Star Award. I had literally performed so hard I danced my shoes off and had to hop up to the mic." The rapper continued, "And here I am. That moment reflects how I approach my career—always go full out, always go hard and always be fab."

In fashion, there are ballet flat girls and there are Tabi girls—and Doechii is, without a doubt, a Tabi girl. The singer embodies the shoe's avant-garde aesthetic through her consistently experimental fashion choices styled by Sam Woolf. Naturally, she sported the quirky shoe for her latest red carpet appearance.

The "Denial is a River" singer attended the 2025 GLAAD Media Awards on March 27 wearing a pair of toe shoes so unique, they make the standard Tabi flats look tame. Inspired by the classic black-and-white oxford, her footwear was made of white leather and featured a black trim, with a cut-out detail on top of the foot. Of course, they also boasted the traditional spit-toe design and the painted-on effect Maison Margiela is known for.

Though they're undoubtedly the strangest shoe style I've seen all week, Doechii wore the quirky pair like they were sneakers—that is to say with the utmost ease. She paired them with matching socks for an artsy layered look.

Like her shoes, the rest of Doechii's outfit was classic Margiela. She wore a deconstructed peplum blouse made of muslin (the simple fabric designers use to make the first-drafts of their clothing) and a similarly technical midi skirt from the brand's Spring 2024 collection. Both pieces had fraying, raw hems and contrast stitching, creating the overall look of a sample piece.

Embracing this theme, the star accessorized with the seamstress special: a pin cushion and measuring tape. She wore the former on her wrist, like a prom night corsage, and wrapped the tape around her neck scarf-style. Her best accessory, however, was the gleaming trophy in her hands, commemorating her GLAAD win for Outstanding Music Artist.

The rapper’s music has blown up over the past year, earning her her first Grammy and invitations to exclusive fashion shows across the globe. It’s clear that the rapper has a signature aesthetic—she calls herself a “student of hip hop,” which is why she’s often been seen in some form of a school-girl inspired outfit over the past few months. Still, Paris Fashion Week has brought out a side of the star that we have yet to see, and if you haven’t already realized it, Doechii is a beauty savant.

We got hints of the rapper’s love for stunning hair, makeup, and nails over the past few months (the interlocked cornrows for her The Late Show with Stephen Colbert had the internet in a frenzy for days), but the looks for her Paris Fashion Week schedule have been next level. Weeks later, she's begun popping up at the industry's biggest fashion shows—from Chloé, and Acne Studios to Schiaparelli—proving, once again, that she's a force to be reckoned with.

Doechii first kicked off fashion month on Feb. 25, walking in and performing in Dsquared2's Womenswear Fall/Winter 2025/2026 Milan Fashion Week show. Now, the star has touched down in Paris and has been making headlines ever since.

Doechii started Paris Fashion Week at the French equivalent of the Met Gala, celebrating the Louvre's inaugural Couture exhibit alongside stars like Gigi Hadid and Victoria Beckham. Even among such star power, Doechii's look was the most buzz-worthy. She wore a canary yellow A-frame dress by Valentino Couture, which featured a smocked texture and a thick coating of crystals.

The following day, on March 5, she attended yet another show—but the vibes were completely different. Playing into Acne Studios's signature grunge-chic aesthetic, Doechii wore five different types of plaid. She accessorized the drapey bubble dress with corpcore micro glasses and ash gray accessories. Her braided space buns were simply the cherry on top of a phenomenal 'fit.

Then on March 6, she attended her third event of the week, sitting front row at Chloé Womenswear Fall/Winter 2025-2026 show. Once again, the Grammy winner exhibited her knack for sartorial shape-shifting. Earthy and etherial, Doechii's look was completely at odds with every Paris Fashion Week outfit that came before it.

She embodied the label's flower child aesthetic in a breezy dress made of ruffled taupe chiffon. Her accessories also tapped into Mother Nature, with the star wearing shell jewelry (plus a matching bag) and a faux fur stole. Doechii was so dedicated, she even arrived to the show barefoot—wearing but a golden toe chain and gilded pedicure.

Later that night, Doechii tapped into her inner bombshell for Schiaparelli's Fall 2025 show. Out went the flowing boho gown from earlier in the day; in came a draped plunge-neck gown cinched with a denim corset. Oversize gold hoop earrings and bangles brought the volume; so did deeply side-parted curls.

To say Doechii had a great night at the 2025 Grammys would be a major understatement. At the February 2 award show, the rapper became the third woman—after Lauryn Hill and Cardi B—to win the award for Best Rap Album for her mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal. Then, she gave the most memorable performance of the night (and one of the best in Grammys history??) when she took to the stage to perform "Catfish" and "Denial Is a River".

It was an undeniably impressive show with complicated choreography on conveyor belts, splits and flips, and a whole bunch of Thom Browne outfits, including a surprise wardrobe reveal. It was the type of performance that makes you go, How? What?! I could never! But, as Doechii revealed on social media: She was also sick. How? What?! I could never!

As reported by People, on February 15, Doechii took to TikTok to respond to claims posted on the app that she was lip-syncing at the Grammys. Not only does the 26-year-old rapper deny lip-syncing, but she adds that she had the flu and bronchitis.

"I can't possibly get on here and say this calmly or nicely: Y’all are stupid as hell. So slow! Ahhh!" Doechii starts. "That is my DJ's voice picking up on the lines that I can't say because I'm doing A SOMERSAULT!"

She continues, "That entire performance was live! I was sick as a dog with bronchitis and the flu, performing my ass off in a straddle on top of human men."

Doechii goes on to say that she " worked [her] ass off to build the stamina for that." She finished, "I don't lip-sync. Don't ever fucking play with me like that. Ever!"

Robbie Blue, the choreographer of the performance, spoke to Billboard about what went into the artist getting ready for the big stage.

"Doechii was in the studio every single day, eight hours, beginning to end dancing—and that’s why she looks so good," Blue said. "She is naturally an amazing dancer, but on top of that she was willing to try all of these things. She was just fearless—and some of that shit is really hard!"

Doechii also spoke out about her performance backstage at the Grammys.

"It meant everything to prove myself tonight," she told reporters, according to USA Today. "It was about Broadway and dance and theater and art, and I think I brought that to the stage."

And, she didn't say it herself at that time, but it bears repeating: She was sick!

The Swamp Princess is officially a Grammy winner.

Doechii took home the award for Best Rap Album at the 2025 Grammys, for her mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal. In her acceptance speech, the Tampa-born rapper dedicated her win to Black women whose dreams have been doubted.

The rapper began her speech by honoring the history of female rappers at the Grammys. "I don't want to make this long, but this category was introduced in 1989, and two women have won: Lauryn Hill—three women have won!," she corrected herself. "Lauryn Hill, Cardi B, and Doechii."

Lauryn Hill previously won Best Rap Album in 1996, as part of Fugees, for The Score. In 2019, Cardi B became the first female solo rapper to take home the award for Invasion of Privacy. Cardi passed the torch to Doechii by presenting her with this year's award.

"I put my heart and my soul into this mixtape," Doechii said in her speech. "I bared my life. I went through so much. I dedicated myself to sobriety, and God told me that I would be rewarded and that he would show me just how good it can get. And I have to thank God. I need to thank my beautiful mother for coaching me. I want to think my label, my engineer, Jayda [Love], for everything she did, my fans, to the swamp!"

The first-time winner went on to introduce herself to any viewers who still didn't know her background.

"There's so many people out there who probably don't know who I am. I call myself the Swamp Princess because I'm from Tampa, Florida. There's so much culture in Tampa. Whenever people think about Florida, they only think about Miami, but Tampa has so much talent. Labels, go to Tampa. There's talent there, okay? Thank you so much to my label, TDE, and everybody that helped put this together. All the producers on the project, I thank you. Thank you to hip-hop."

She concluded her speech by telling Black women that they are enough, despite what "stereotypes" others may project upon them.

"I know that there is some Black girl out there, so many Black women out there that are watching me right now, and I want to tell you, you can do it, anything is possible. Anything is possible! Don’t allow anybody to project any stereotypes on you that tell you that you can't be here, that you're too dark or that you're not smart enough or that you're too dramatic or you're too loud. You're exactly who you need to be to be right where you are and I am a testimony," she concluded.

Other nominees for Best Rap Album include J. Cole's Might Delete Later, Common and Pete Rock's The Auditorium Vol. 1, Eminem's The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), and Future & Metro Boomin's We Don't Trust You.

In addition to Best Rap Album, Doechii received two more 2025 Grammy nominations: Best Rap Performance for "Nissan Altima" and Best New Artist. Kaytranada's remix of her song "Alter Ego" featuring JT was also nominated for Best Remixed Recording.

"I'm the new hip-hop Madonna, I'm the trap Grace Jones," Doechii raps on her viral hit "Nissan Altima." But on the 2025 Grammys red carpet, Doechii was her incomparable self—a one-of-one talent that critics can no longer call "up and coming" because she has, without question or apologies, fully arrived. Dressed by stylist Sam Woolf, Doechii wore top-to-toe Thome Browne, including a white button-down shirt underneath a charcoal gray pin-striped gown.
