As a fashion girl in my 20s who's constantly receiving Save the Dates, I'm always on the hunt for my next wedding guest dress. On August 17, a few weeks before my next nuptials, style inspiration struck during the most unlikely press tour. For Coyote vs. ACME, the newest film in the Looney Tunes universe, Lana Condor debuted a '90s-inspired slip dress that would make anyone the best-dressed guest at any wedding.

Since the To All the Boys I've Loved Before actor portrays a law intern in the live-action animated movie, method dressing wasn't really an option for Condor and her new stylist, Maren Taylor. (I mean, unless she wanted to wear blazers, hair bows, and jeans on repeat.) Instead, she seems to be prioritizing pretty elegance, as implied by her maxi dress from the Italian label Taller Marmo.

The vibrant green-yellow hue turned glamorous in an instant, thanks to lavender flowers that blossomed sporadically atop the spaghetti-strap silhouette. Short feather fringe lined the dress's sidewalk-sweeping hem, while a cascading scarf (which was shade-matched to perfection) added even more movement to the final 'fit.

Condor's green-and-purple gown nails my next wedding's black-tie dress code, but later this year, other couples called for more relaxed minis. The 29-year-old has me covered in the Dressy Casual department, too.

While en route to another Coyote vs. ACME event, her cape-sleeve style from Silvia Tcherassi made a strong case for little taupe dresses this wedding season. The chiffon shawl, draped across her décolletage, gave hints of the sheer shirt trend. But from the back, it floated through the wind as effortlessly as a bride's veil.

To finish the neutral look, Condor accessorized with a black top-handle tote, slim sunglasses, and the peep-toe pumps trend.

I wouldn't dare wear white during a wedding—unless it's my own. So, I immediately added Condor's ivory mini dress, adorned with itty-bitty black polka-dots, to my bridal moodboard. By pairing it with gold hoop earrings, a compact clutch, and suede mules, Condor proved I can rewear the black-and-white number long after I say "I do."

And just like that, Condor curated an entire weekend's worth of wedding looks so I didn't have to. If I've learned anything from her matrimony-ready marathon, it's that I would've missed out on some stellar dresses had I overlooked the cartoon's press tour. I'll never make that mistake again.

Most of the best-selling bags in Kendall Jenner's The Row collection are also beloved by Hailey Bieber, Jennifer Lawrence, Elle Fanning, and more. Turns out, the Olsen twins' most loyal clients share the same taste in knitwear, too. On August 17, the celebrity-beloved Ophelia Sweater, which first appeared in Jenner's closet years ago, returned to her Instagram feed—in a new, goes-with-everything color.

Jenner wasn't exaggerating when she referred to herself as a "lucky lady" in the caption: She secured the wool-and-cashmere blend crewneck before sizes started to dwindle. The $1,550 sweater comes complete with a ribbed collar, a matching hemline and cuffs, and bell-shaped sleeves. If the black-and-white filter isn't playing tricks on my eyes, Jenner's version is in the creamy white color called "Sand."

While the photographer (could it be Jacob Elordi?) cropped Jenner's pants and shoes from the picture, her oval-shaped sunglasses, canvas tote, and wine glass made the cut. Knowing the minimalist's personal style (and current fashion fixations), she might've stacked straight-leg jeans and high-vamp flats from The Row beneath the intentionally oversized, cozy silhouette.

At this point, The Row's repeat clients are as familiar with the Ophelia Sweater as they are with the Margaux, Park Tote, and Marlo bags. My (unscientific) research suggests the double-layered design has been infiltrating celebrity closets since the end of 2022.

Sofia Richie Grainge, Pamela Anderson, and Lawrence previously tested the "Grey Melange" color with a blazer, white jeans, and Adidas Sambas, respectively. Jenner, on the other hand, has the style in three neutral shades: gray, cobalt blue, and black.

Duchess Sophie is one of the hardest working members of the Royal Family, and she’s now taken on a patronage with a very personal meaning. On August 17, Buckingham Palace announced that the Duchess of Edinburgh has been named the new patron of Visualise Scotland, a charity that helps adults living with visual impairment and other disabilities in the Edinburgh region.

To mark the occasion, Sophie posed for a new portrait snapped by Millie Pilkington, a photographer that often takes pictures for Prince William, Princess Kate and their children. In another tie to the Princess of Wales, Duchess Sophie wore an elegant ivory dress by Beulah London, one of their shared favorite brands.

Visualise Scotland's mission is deeply personal to the duchess. When Sophie's eldest child, Lady Louise, was born, she was diagnosed with an eye condition called esotropia, which was corrected with surgery when she was a child. The Duchess of Edinburgh has made preventable blindness one of the causes she's championed over the years, and she holds a role as global ambassador for the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness.

I'm not alone in feeling the pressure to define my personal style. Am I minimal? Eclectic? Polished? Trendy? I love the idea of creating an outfit that feels distinctly me, but during a recent interview with Brenda Song, I began to question why I needed to pick just one category in the first place.

Because Song isn't particularly interested in putting herself in a box. Perhaps that's fitting for an actor who's spent most of her life stepping into different characters and their wardrobes. Song prefers getting dressed based on whatever version of herself she's feeling that day. Some days, she's in relaxed denim, sneakers, and an oversized jacket while running around with her kids. For work, she reaches for blazers, leather jackets, and high-waisted trousers. Given the right music festival, she'd happily go full boho. As she puts it, "I can be all of them depending on what I feel like that day."

Ahead, Song talks to Marie Claire about finding style inspiration at school drop-off, the Running Point wardrobe trick she's carried into her real life, why she's an unapologetic outfit repeater, and the fashion rule we should all stop following.

Marie Claire: We spoke about a year and a half ago, and you said you finally felt like your wardrobe reflected your personality. Has your style changed since then?

Brenda Song: I think it's just matured. I've really found so much inspiration in my everyday life because I want actual wearable fashion. This past year has been about trying on different styles, seeing what feels close to home, and realizing that I don't need to have one defined style.

That's what was so much fun about creating this Field Guide. It helped me categorize my moods, but I don't have to choose just one. I can be all of them depending on what I feel like that day. I've settled into what I like to call the Off-Duty Icon because I'm running around with my kids. I'm a very jeans-and-T-shirt girl, but I'll change the vibe with a blazer, a leather jacket, a beanie, a scarf, or a fun bag. I've really steered into finding silhouettes that I feel confident and comfortable in and accessories that make my outfit whatever vibe I'm feeling that day.

At the end of the day, no two people are going to wear the same outfit the same way, and you shouldn't. Fashion is truly an expression and extension of who you are.

MC: The Field Guide includes many aesthetics. Was there one that immediately felt the most like you?

BS: They were all me on different days, and that's what I really loved about it: being able to put a name to these styles and archetypes. I would not call myself an icon, but I love the Off-Duty Icon: relaxed denim, sneakers, oversized pieces. That's me every day. Work Brenda is the Polished Powerhouse—I love a blazer, a leather jacket, and a high-waisted trouser. Then during music festival time, my goal is to be the Mystical Muse.

And I love fall so much because I love accessories and layering. I love a beanie. I love a scarf. I dress for the weather that I'm hoping for. Give me pumpkin spice 24/7. I'm here.

MC: Where are you finding style inspiration these days? From social media, people-watching, or friends?

BS: To be honest, I've been so inspired by everyday life. What's coming across social media is amazing, but I'm really into wearable fashion. Having two kids and running around, I don't have a ton of time to overthink every outfit. I was at school drop-off, and there's this mom who's so incredibly stylish all the time. She was wearing cargo pants and a plain T-shirt with this incredible fringe scarf, and I was like, Could I pull that off? I went home and immediately started looking for pieces that could give me that same feeling because she just looked so effortlessly cool.

I've been a little more adventurous about finding inspiration and asking, Can I create something that works for me? It's not about following an outfit piece by piece, verbatim. It's about taking that inspiration and finding a version that works for your lifestyle while still feeling like you.

MC: What made your partnership with Marshalls feel like such a natural fit? Were you already a Marshalls shopper?

BS: I've been a Marshalls shopper my entire life. The thing I really love about it is that you go in and you never know what you're going to find, and it allows you to get creative in a store. I really feel like you can be fashionable on any budget, which I think is so important.

What's so special about Marshalls is that you're not necessarily going in looking for one exact item. You can find things that suit your lifestyle and whatever vibe you're going for that day. I honestly felt so honored because I've spent so much time in Marshalls my entire life, whether it's buying clothing, finding stuff for the home, or finding snacks. It's my favorite place.

MC: What's your Marshalls weakness? What's the section you can't resist?

BS: My weakness is always and forever the accessories. I always come out with a jacket, a scarf, or a purse. Oh, and always a snack.

MC: Do the characters you play ever influence the way you dress off-screen? I was thinking about some of Ali's looks in Running Point.

BS: Any character that I play sort of sneaks her way into my everyday wardrobe simply because I become a little bit of her. For instance, Ali is 100% the Polished Powerhouse. This last season of Running Point, we really played with ties, which I think are so fun. I would never have tried them if it wasn't for her. These characters help me step outside of my comfort zone and try new things.

MC: What's one style lesson you wish you'd learned 10 years ago?

BS: Can I tell you something? It's not really a lesson, but I wish I'd taken a wardrobe piece from every long-term character I've played. I have an outfit from [The Suite Life of Zack & Cody's] London [Tipton], but I wish I'd kept something from every character. I feel like it's truly a snapshot of what was happening at that time and who that character was. From now on, I want to keep an iconic piece that I wore all the time on the set.

I'm a serious outfit repeater. If I love an outfit or I love a piece, I wear it all the time. I like my characters to have a pair of shoes or a piece they wear again and again, too, because that's what we actually do. We don't wear a brand-new outfit every single day.

MC: Is there a fashion rule you've completely stopped following?

BS: That things are "out of style." What does that mean? If you love it and you feel confident in it, that is your own personal style. I think saying something is out of style makes people feel like they need to buy an entirely new wardrobe every season, and I don't believe that. It's about taking what you already have and updating it with certain accessories or certain pieces.

MC: What are you happy to spend more money on when it comes to fashion?

BS: I invest in my basics and in my accessories. A great coat, a great pair of jeans you feel confident in, a great white T-shirt, a great pair of trousers—that's where I like to spend my money. I really think you can update those basics with a fun jacket or more trend-driven pieces. If I were wearing jeans and a T-shirt, I could wear an amazing boho scarf and be the Mystical Muse, but if I put an amazing blazer on, I could go to work and be the Polished Powerhouse.

MC: Are you a dressing-room shopper, or do you take everything home and figure it out later?

BS: Here's the thing: I say I don't like trying things on, but I really do. I love that old-school experience of going into a store, grabbing a bunch of things, and spending 20 minutes in the changing room figuring out what actually works. There's something nostalgic about it now.

That's what I love about Marshalls. You're not just going in for one aesthetic. They have something to suit everyone's style, and it allows you to try pieces you might not have thought to try in the first place. Again, it's just clothes, so if you don't like it, you just take it off. I love online shopping, but sometimes when you're online, you're like, No, I wouldn't wear that. This isn't going to look good. It's like, how do you know? Try it on.

MC: Finally, what do you hope people take away from the Field Guide when they're shopping?

BS: Inspiration. That's all I want. I hope people can find inspiration in one of these archetypes and then find a way to make it their own. I wanted to curate this Field Guide to help make fall shopping easy and accessible, but also to encourage people to look around and find inspiration in their surroundings and the people around them. I dress for my mood, so these archetypes you're seeing are really Brenda's moods for her different days. Fashion really can be so fun.

With this August weather, I don't blame celebrities for ditching hard pants. Why would we risk overheating in tight trousers and denim when lightweight linen and drawstring balloon bottoms are more trendy anyway? On August 16, an 80-degree day in Italy, Dua Lipa left her jeans in her luggage and tested the bloomers trend around Portofino.

According to Lipa's picture-perfect Instagram grid, she celebrated her friend's upcoming wedding with the "ultimate girls weekend." Paparazzi spotted the group getting gelato at the famous Gelateria Gepi, but the pop star's summer-whites look from Chloé was the real treat.

Embracing her friend's bridal era (or reviving her own), Lipa paired the French label's lace-trimmed camisole with the matching, $2,890 Fluid Drawstring Pants in the "Iconic Milk" shade. Translation: The boho-chic cotton pair, complete with eyelet cut-outs, was a creamy white color.

Bloomers are one of the oldest trends to return to today's street style scene, dating back to the early 1850s. However, the loose silhouette has come a long way since its undergarment days.

Olivia Rodrigo and Madonna have previously embraced cropped, thigh-hugging bloomers. This summer, A-listers saved spots on their vacation packing lists for petticoat pants.

While exploring Tokyo, Elsa Hosk stacked the lace-trimmed bottoms beneath a light gray trench coat. Meanwhile, on the French Riviera, Bella Hadid wore the Karlo Bloomers from the L.A.-based label Somebodée as a cool-girl swimsuit cover-up. We've reached the worst part of summer, when we're over linen pants but are not ready to style fall trouser trends and jeans. My fellow A-List Edit stand-ins, style director Sara Holzman and interim senior fashion news editor Irina Grechko, set a high bar for me this month, after testing the babydoll dress and track shorts trends. But as Marie Claire’s resident celebrity style spotter, all summer I had my eye on the It top of VIP fashion girls: the sheer shirt. If it could turn heads on the street style circuit, what would it do in my midwestern neck of the woods?

If I’ve learned anything from professionally waxing poetic about naked red carpet dresses, it’s that A-listers stay loyal to the sheer trend all year long. For me, however, August felt like the best time to dip my toe into transparent tops, because the forecasts are simply too sweltering for opaque options. Luckily, I already had a moodboard of my favorite celebrity looks.

The Nearly-Naked Shirt Trend

See-through shirts have been on my fashion bucket list for years, right next to underwear-as-outerwear and peekaboo boxers. But I didn’t gather enough courage until now, after Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lawrence, and Katie Holmes made the trend look as effortless as a white T-shirt. Getting a new tattoo on my waist also helped seal the deal. How else could I showcase the teeny-tiny horses inked beneath my bust (without testing the bra top trend, that is)?

Hathaway first put sheer shirts on my radar two years ago, when she wore a Simkhai tank top that was two-thirds transparent. By this summer’s The Odyssey press tour, the actor gave the trend a maternity makeover in another partially see-through mesh Stella McCartney T-shirt.

Meanwhile, Holmes styled a navy tulle button-down, one of her go-to silhouettes, at a Ferragamo event in the Hamptons. (In addition to gauzy layers being one of summer’s biggest trends, they’re also one of the most carry-on-friendly.) Her fringe skirt and patent leather pumps added even more texture to the semi-sheer summer look.

How I Style It

Inspired by Holmes, I figured my first take on the trend should feature my favorite everyday silhouette: the classic crewneck T-shirt. I’ve had Dissh, an Australian brand beloved by Lawrence and Meghan Markle, on my radar since Kendall Jenner wore its sheer swimsuit cover-up back in 2024. Out of the 10 transparent options currently available, I selected the Sian Silk Organza Tee. After a slow-and-steady ironing session (it’s 100 percent silk, people), I slipped the light-as-a-feather find over a black bralette from my college days. (This Gap style is cut from the same lacy cloth.)

The second I realized two of my tattoos shone through Dissh’s silk organza, I became my sexiest self. Sure, between the wide boatneck and the double-lined cuffs, it’s an otherwise simple silhouette I’m used to wearing. But just by embracing the black silk’s sheerness, I felt as flirty as I do in my failsafe LBD.

I could’ve worn it with basically anything in my summer closet, including Gap x Hailey Bieber jeans, Bermuda shorts, or even capris. As much as I love an all-black look in the summer, slingback sandals weren’t the vibe for a Monday evening. So, I chose Madewell’s take on the mesh ballet flats trend (another A-List Edit-approved style), which featured the trendy peony pink.

While Lawrence accessorized with the leopard-print pumps trend, I slipped on Hailey Bieber-approved heeled flip-flops instead. For an even more casual co-ord, I could see swapping my vintage Manolo Blahnik sandals with end-of-summer shoe trends like white sneakers, high-vamp flats, or—if you’re more maximalist than I am—jelly shoes.

Turns out, this daring trend isn’t just for VIPs. In my closet now, sheer shirts are as versatile (if not more) than my well-loved white tees.

Last weekend, two of summer's most star-studded weddings fell on the same Saturday. Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, and Phoebe Bridgers celebrated recording engineers Oli Jacobs and Laura Sisk in London. In Malibu, California, gowns by Roberto Cavalli and Versace made Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber the best-dressed guests at the wedding of Jordyn Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns.

The It girl and New York Knicks star invited 250-plus guests to attend their black-tie nuptials, but Jenner and Bieber were unmissable in the crowd. First up? Jenner. Stylists Mackenzie and Alexandra Grandquist tracked down a 22-year-old gown from Roberto Cavalli's Spring 2004 collection. The halter-neck number boasted some of Jenner's favorite decorative elements: massive cut-outs that stretched from her shoulders to her hips, and bedazzled detailing, in the form of bands that encircled her bust and waist.

For her finishing touches, the Khy founder used the dress's thigh-high slit to showcase her take on the naked shoe trend. Meanwhile, her boyfriend and Knicks fan, Timothée Chalamet, challenged the formal dress code by pairing a black leather blazer with matching trousers and a blue shirt.

To match Jenner's energy, Bieber ditched fresh-from-the-runway designs for another Italian label's three-year-old collection. The Rhode founder's stylist, Dani Michelle, got her hands on the black column dress that Naomi Campbell modeled in Versace's Fall 2023 fashion show. While silver crystals and sequins adorned the triangular bust and its diagonal straps, the rest of the skirt remained embellishment-free.

Understandably, given the occasion, Campbell's original accessories (patent leather opera gloves and T-strap shoes) didn't make the cut. Instead, Bieber finished her wedding guest outfit with diamond stud earrings, her beloved vintage Gucci horsebit clutch, and peep-toe slingback stilettos. Her husband, Justin Bieber, wore a classic suit and tie.

Luckily for guests with more weddings to attend this year, celebrities have been delivering enough non-bridal style inspiration to last until the season slows down in October.

Before the Animal Rescue Fund's annual Bow Wow Meow Ball benefit, the siblings posed with an adorable puppy. As the older sister, Dakota set the easy-breezy tone in Chloé's sold-out ivory slip dress, complete with spaghetti-slim straps and a ruffled neckline. She accessorized with velvet, blue Mary Jane flats and a black drawstring bag by the Italian label Venerdì Pomeriggio featuring sequin flowers, fringe hem, and tassel drawstrings.

Meanwhile, Elle paired a sheer, Swiss-dot midi dress from Miu Miu's Spring 2018 collection. The Satin Cecily Tote, also from Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen's cool-girl label, delicately hung from her forearm.

The sold-out wristlet was half the size of Dakota's bag and didn't include a closure. The missing zipper or drawstring hasn't stopped celebrities (including Bieber, Olivia Wilde, Laura Harrier, and even Dakota) from styling the four-figure pouch too.

The Spring/Summer 2026 season is quickly coming to an end, but if the Fannings have any say in the matter, the little pouch phase will extend into Fall 2026.

During the runway circuit, everyone from Prada to Valentino showcased adorable drawstring styles that were so impractical that models could only clutch them with their fingers.

Each time I styled the flip-flops trend this summer, I struggled to keep the thong sandals from flying off my feet. Now, I'm not the only fashion person craving more supportive It shoes for fall. On August 16, Emily Blunt took center stage at D23, a Disney fan convention in California, while wearing the T-strap shoe trend, which ran no risk of soaring into the audience.

This weekend, Blunt had the honor of presenting her Jungle Cruise co-star, Dwayne Johnson, with the Disney Legend Award, a hall-of-fame title given by The Walt Disney Company. Styled by Jessica Paster, the Golden Globe winner wore a navy blue blazer and matching capri pants by the L.A.-based brand Mimchik. On her feet, she wore Alexandre Birman's take on the T-strap shoe trend.

Blunt's white, 4-inch-tall stilettos—complete with teeny-tiny open-toe slits and namesake bands stretching toward the ankle straps—aren't available anymore. But if you're a speedy shopper, you can secure the same, almost sold-out shoes in black instead.

T-strap shoes have been around since the flappers of the 1920s. Thanks to Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and the stars of Gossip Girl, the silhouette experienced a red carpet renaissance in the mid-2000s. Anne Hathaway isn't just Mia Thermopolis, the Princess of Genovia in The Princess Diaries. On August 16, she claimed her Disney Legend crown at D23, a multi-day fan convention in California, while wearing a color trend fit for a queen: cobalt blue.

Twenty-five years after Hathaway first left her Disney mark, the actor accepted the highest honor given by The Walt Disney Company. Styled by Erin Walsh, she wore a pleated column dress with Grecian sleeves worthy of an Odyssey red-carpet premiere. Her longtime stylist, Erin Walsh, sourced the New York-based brand Aflalo for the cape-style slip.

Hathaway only accessorized with a few sparklers, including Bulgari's $54,000 diamond Serpenti Tubogas Watch. The timepiece (complete with gold hardware and a carnelian red face) has rarely left the luxury brand ambassador's wrist all pregnancy long. Still, its extravagance didn't outshine the shade of her designer maternity dress.

Victoria was photographed on August 14 wearing a slinky, sheer floral dress, which was completely transparent. With a bikini underneath, the former pop star wore the long dress to grab lunch with her family.

While David didn't appear to be trying to conceal his appearance in any way, Victoria wore a large Raffia hat, which shielded her face from the sun, but also helped her go incognito.

If anything is as worthy of attention as Victoria's sheer dress, it's her bright green Hermès Mini Kelly Bag. The sold-out style trades hands for as much as $30,000 on resale sites and added the perfect pop of color to her outfit.

Hailey Bieber's ever-expanding flip-flops collection puts my single pair of thong sandals to shame. This summer, while I walked almost 100,000 steps on J.Crew slides, Bieber divided her step-and-repeats among almost 10 different flip-flops from fashion's biggest names like The Row and Toteme, as well as more emerging labels like A.Emery and Jude.

Sandals with V-shaped straps have been stuck to her soles since early 2025. For some celebrities, Jennifer Lawrence and Zoë Kravitz included, The Row's now-iconic Dune Sandal started their flip-flop fixation. But Bieber didn't debut the $750 best-sellers until March 29, 2025, one week after she already broke in Toteme's Leather Flip-Flops. By my (unscientific) count, the kitten heels have completed almost 30 of her street style looks.

Once the Totemes survived Bieber's Coachella test (they came out unscathed), she likely knew she could style the summer essential anywhere. So, more thong sandals from The Row, as well as more affordable options from Zara's sister brand, Massimo Dutti, and Australian label A.Emery started to trickle onto her shoe rack.

While autumn is right around the corner, I’m not ready to give up sunny poolside hangouts and weekend getaways by the shore. So, in the spirit of soaking up the last few weeks of summer, I’ve decided to incorporate the season’s most coveted color combinations into my wardrobe. Using the Spring 2026 runways as inspiration, I noticed that Tory Burch played into Y2K’s classic chocolate brown and baby blue mash-up, Chanel put a fresh twist on the viral bubblegum pink trend by adding merlot into the mix, and Chloé co-signed butter yellow and sky blue.

Ahead, I’m showing you how to make these runway-approved combos wearable beyond the catwalk. From polished nine-to-five uniforms to casual coastal looks, finish out the rest of summer in these vibrant outfits.

Chocolate Brown & Baby Blue

Chocolate brown and baby blue is a Y2K classic, and it’s officially back. I spotted the pairing in both Staud and Tory Burch’s latest collections. Here, I'm wearing it in this sumptuous satin set by ALC, complete with a Mansur Gavriel bag and Margaux heels.

Bubblegum Pink & Merlot

Bubblegum pink has been dominating fashion’s trend cycles for quite some time. However, Balenciaga and Chanel made the shade feel brand new by teaming it with rich merlot.

I put a corporate spin on the color combo by styling Frankie Shop trousers with a Banana Republic button-down. It's a sharp look that's perfect for long office days and post-work happy hours. I balanced out the saturated ensemble by adding neutral brown accessories, including Margaux heels and a DeMellier tote bag.

Butter Yellow & Sky Blue

Butter yellow isn’t going anywhere this year—at least according to Chloé and Sandy Liang. These designers styled the delectable hue with sky blue for the Spring 2026 season. Of course, this combo works beyond the runways, too.

Welcome to the Big Bag Renaissance, where Chanel's celebrity-beloved Maxi Flap is leading the charge. The style isn't the French fashion house's only ludicrously capacious bag with a celebrity following. In fact, Dua Lipa carried Chanel's newest supersized style into New York's JFK Airport. If only the paparazzi captured her TSA agent's reaction.

The pop star has been in NYC since the premiere of her husband Callum Turner's new rom-com, One Night Only, earlier this month. Lipa wore a custom Ferragamo look on the red carpet, but for her flight abroad, she returned to her Chanel girl roots.

Boarding flights in airplane-proof loungewear has never been Lipa's MO. Wearing Matthieu Blazy's debut Cruise collection to check her luggage, however, is so on-brand for the frequent flyer. Two months ago, she traveled to her Italian wedding with a beach bag from Chanel's Cruise 2026 fashion show in tow.

Lipa's XXL vacation bag, a scene-stealer on the Cruise 2027 catwalk, defied any airport's personal item policy. It definitely didn't have any issues holding all of her travel essentials, though. The tapered trapezoidal silhouette was twice the size of any carry-on suitcase that could squish into the overhead bin.

As if the massive bucket bag wasn't unmissable enough, classic stripes in tomato red and indigo blue turned even more heads inside the terminal. Chanel's interlocking Cs ensured everyone within a two-mile radius knew she's still loyal to the atelier behind her dreamy wedding dress.

In true brand ambassador style, the purse wasn't the only Chanel piece of Lipa's look. To maximize summer's stripe trend, she also styled a black-and-white quarter-zip from earlier in the Cruise 2027 fashion show.

To finish her luxe airport outfit, the Grammy winner traded the fringed multicolor skirt and cap-toe pumps for straight-leg jeans and black boots. (The pointed pair seems to be at the top of her vacation packing list—she wore the same style after her honeymoon in late June.)

Believe it or not, Lipa's beach bag wasn't even the most spacious style on Chanel's Cruise 2027 runway. Mona Tougaard modeled a red, yellow, and black version alongside a leather maxi dress. The tote's raffia design stretched from her rib cage to below the knee. You could basically fit a folding chair, Chanel-branded towels, and Lipa's smaller size inside, with room to spare.

Chanel has always appreciated the spectacle of a larger-than-life bag. Thirteen years ago, Karl Lagerfeld's quilted Hula Hoop Bag, which borrowed from its namesake shape, caused waves at the Spring 2013 fashion show. It featured classic Maxi Flap details, including the brand's emblem atop the key-lock, and a circular black frame in place of leather straps. Fast forward to 2026, and Lagerfeld's jaw-dropping design sells secondhand for $75,000.

Chanel's Cruise 2027 carry-all might not be as wearable as the Maxi Flap or as expensive as Lagerfeld's archival piece, but once it launches later this year, it could become a hot ticket item, too. Here's to awaiting the return of Matthieu Blazy Mania.

While I haven't even touched my favorite trench coat since at least April, Kaia Gerber kept hers in regular rotation all summer long. No matter the weather, she found ways to wear the French-girl favorite with various denim trends, little black dresses, and ballet flats, of course. On August 13, one of the coolest days during L.A.'s heatwave, Gerber's classic trench and ballerinas looked ready for a perfect fall date night in Paris.

After weeks of promoting Ryan Murphy's new nostalgic TV series, The Shards, Gerber enjoyed a much-deserved dinner with her boyfriend, Lewis Pullman. The actor's off-duty outfit wasn't too different from her press tour style, which featured '90s-inspired slip dresses and statement scarves, too. Opposite Pullman's barn jacket and white jeans, Gerber dressed herself in a knee-length LBD, the khaki-colored trench she can't stop styling, and black suede shoes from her March 2026 collaboration with French footwear brand Repetto.

There must've been a chill in L.A. last night, because Gerber also wrapped a chocolate-brown sweater around her neck like a scarf. After she traded Chanel's new Maxi Flap Bag for a vintage navy blue version, the supermodel finished her French girl 'fit with silver hoop earrings and oval-shaped sunglasses.

This trench—complete with epaulettes, buckled cuffs, and a Peter Pan collar— seems to have joined Gerber's coat rack earlier this year. So far, it's been spotted with her beloved Gucci Jackie Bag, cropped Dôen cardigans, and no shortage of straight-leg jeans.

Gerber is an L.A. girl, through and through, but she shares the Parisian penchant for foolproof uniforms. However, I didn't expect to see so much of her trusty trench coat and ballerinas before switching my calendar from August to September.
