I moved last spring and, through the whole apartment decorating journey, discovered the amazingness that is otherwise known as Lulu and Georgia. The brand is best known for feminine decor, but one of my favorite (underrated) discoveries has been this candle. It’s my ideal vanilla-meets-sandalwood blend. Think: cashmere in a candle. It makes my home smell warm and inviting. I always light it before having guests over.

One thing I love about Nette: the scents are never what you expect. I can read the notes 1,000 times and imagine it in my head, but I’m always surprised when I actually get my hands on it. While the name and notes had me imagining something mysterious and deep, this is actually light, refreshing, and very relaxing. Bonus: the dark green exterior makes it an ideal holiday gift.

The sandalwood + palo santo combo gives it that warm, woody vibe, but it doesn’t feel heavy or smoky. it’s cleaner and a bit brighter than I expected. This is the most traditionally "holiday" candle situation on my list. While the scents Holiday and Birchwood Pine are a bit too on the nose for my taste, they still have a home with someone. The scent is strong, but that might be ideal if you're hosting a ton of people over the holiday. The real reason this is on my list? The new Winter Chai flavor—it's absolutely delicious. Think: creamy, cozy, and just a little spicy.

Say what you want about Mikayla Nogueira, but the POV Beauty founder knows her way around a makeup product, and these new lip liner stains are proof. They don't budge (like, not even a little bit) once set, and the marker tip shape plus the super-sharp edge keep application ultra-precise and practically dummy-proof.

Huda Beauty has mastered the art of a good setting powder, and the brand appears to have applied that knowledge to its new bronzer and contour palette. You get five palettes to choose from, and each includes four powders to cover any bronzey look: a true bronzer, a contour, a rosy warmth, and a soft radiance. It’s genius and the perfect addition to a holiday travel makeup bag.

Haus Labs has done it again. The brand released its liquid bronzer lineup, and I haven’t put them down since. Not only does this formula blend like a dream, but I’ve also been using the shade Sienna as a blush, and if you love a warm, toasty, anti-blush moment, especially if you’re around Fitzpatrick 5, use this as your cream blush, set it with your traditional powder formula, and then report back to me on how much you love it. You’re welcome.

​Review: “This color is gorgeous! I love the way this blends so effortlessly. I also like my bronzers a bit red, and this shade is perfect! They have a new customer for life with this one. I might even go back and get Mahogany too. I’m glad that they have so many options for deeper skin tones now. A true must-have!”

Concealer is a tough category to launch, but Lisa Eldridge knocked it out of the park. The Skin Luminist Concealer not only hydrates the skin, but it also self-sets, so I don’t have to reach for powder if I don’t want to, especially when I’m in a rush. Still, if that doesn’t wow you, check out the bevy of what Eldridge calls “hybrid” shades, a mix of skin-true tones and corrective hues that act as a concealer and color corrector in one. Of course, this is exactly where my perfect shade, 25, falls in the lineup, and it now makes perfect sense why I could never find a true do-it-all concealer that covered all of my blemishes but still looked like natural skin—it didn’t exist until this month!​

Every new Patrick Ta blush launch gets me as excited as the previous iteration, and it’s not just because I enjoy the brand’s products (which, to be clear, I do). Instead, Ta seems committed to building one of the most extensive blush libraries known to man, and I LOVE it. The brand has perfected blush undertones, and as someone with a deep skin tone but neutral, golden-leaning undertones, I am so impressed. Something Spicy is the latest addition that really gives me that gorgeous warm brown cheek color that I'm obsessed with, without having to mix six blushes to get the look. I get both a cream and powder version of the shade in one compact, and in this holiday set, I also get a lip balm. Patrick, I could kiss you (while wearing my Something Spicy lip balm, of course).

I collect the Danessa Myricks Beauty Lightwork palettes every year, and they are all my children. That said, can I say Lightwork VIII is my favorite so far? It feels a little sacrilegious, but it’s true—the combination of mattes and shimmers, the color stories, and even the ultra-convenient Freedom System (which allows you to deconstruct the palette to easily travel with it) all combine to create what I am predicting will be the holiday eyeshadow palette launch of the season.

Sofie Pavitt genuinely can do no wrong in my eyes, and this Hot & Cold mask duo is only more proof as to why. The two-step contrast mask gets dry, dull, and textured skin snatched up in minutes, thanks to the Warm Up Mask, which gently chemically exfoliates and visibly plumps the skin, and then the Cool Down hydrating mask, which floods the skin with soothing, calming ingredients like glycerin, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, and more. The serum soaks these pads and contains PDRN, elastin, epidermal growth factors, and more, and the result? A neck that is soft, hydrated, bouncy, and hopefully line-free for a long, long time.

Long story short, I am in love, and if you love a creamy musk fragrance, you will be too. Plus, pairing it with the matching deodorant and perfume oil will make you want to sniff yourself a ridiculous amount of times. Ask me how I know.

What smells like rich, earthy woods with notes of Haitian vetiver, incense, labdanum, and more? That’s right: it’s Bodha’s Earth Eau de Parfum, and if you love a warm, resinous fragrance, this one's right up your alley. Think of your coziest winter vibe—chopped wood, a warm fire, a massive Christmas tree, with a light scent that softly wafts through the space—that’s exactly the vibe this perfume gives.

You likely already know and love Krigler (the fragrance house was beloved by people like John F. Kennedy, Grace Kelly, and more), but allow me to introduce you to the brand’s latest launch: Paris Art 26. Fig, bergamot, green mandarin, and a surprise coffee note somehow combine into a gorgeous, green-leaning skin scent, and I adore it. I don’t know how Ben (Krigler’s fifth-generation family perfumer) came up with this concoction, but consider this my enthusiastic standing ovation. Paris Art 26 is a must-have for any luxury fragrance enthusiast.

​Review: “This fragrance is a masterpiece, and I do think it may become one of Krigler’s most defining perfumes. It’s perfectly unisex thanks to notes like fig, bergamot, and coffee, and that exact quality is also what makes it easy to wear year-round. It’s the perfect signature scent for anyone who wants to know that they’ll smell fresh and clean, but still interesting, while remaining inoffensive so that even the people with the most sensitive noses wouldn’t be disturbed in an open office environment. I love mouthwash, but I won’t lie, I’ve felt like the category could use a facelift for a while now. After I created my favorite oral hygiene travel product (alcohol-free mouthwash packets), Listerine has heard my cries and released a whitening mouthwash, and I, for one, couldn't be more pleased. Not only is this formula also alcohol-free (meaning there will be no excessive burning when you’re just trying to gargle), but it has fluoride to strengthen your enamel with each use, while using essential oils to help remove any stains. It’s the perfect mouthwash to use after an in-office whitening treatment to help your results last longer, but it’s also great for daily use, especially if you use whitening strips at home semi-regularly. I won’t get too much into the weeds of my sex life on the internet, but just know that both my husband and I are very happy campers thanks to this little device, and the app takes the experience to entirely new heights. An essential for hibernation season, if you ask me.

Plus, if you have sensitive skin as I do, the facial doesn’t feel too harsh. The waffle-knit microfiber absorbs excess water, and an elastic strap secures the whole thing while she gets ready. Practical gifts deserve a little more credit.

I’ve been using this lotion since the summer, and more people, especially those who don’t like the feel of traditional formulas, should know about it. As the name suggests, the formula is 50 percent aloe vera, so it sinks into the skin quickly and, most importantly, leaves no residue once you rub it in. Tack on additional ingredients like glycerin and vitamin E, plus that warm vanilla bean scent, compounded by the Nécessaire body wash? Excuse me while I levitate to heaven.

I would like to note that I was a massive fan of Nemat's perfume oils before they went viral on TikTok, so I feel confident in saying that this vanilla body oil from the brand is about to take off too. The vanilla musk oil is just that: a nourishing, lightweight formula featuring jojoba, grapeseed, and coconut oils that keep my body moisturized while slowly diffusing the vanillic musk scent that fragrances the formula. It’s sweet but not cloying, which is perfect for anyone who doesn’t want to smell too much like baked goods.

I’m not kidding when I say that there are times when I literally crave this perfume. Musc Ravageur is a sensual combination of notes like bergamot, lavender, musk, and, of course, vanilla, and the combination is heady, sexy, and leaves an impression. Adding it on top of the rest of my vanilla routine makes this already beast-mode fragrance last even longer, so if you need this perfume on for over 24 hours, trust me: with this routine, it will last the entire time and more.

Chloé’s Le Nectar Parfum Intense opens with a fresh bergamot top note, amplified by heart notes of orange absolute, néroli essential oil, and rose absolute. I love this one because, while the bergamot top note does fade rather quickly, the tonka absolute and patchouli essential oil base notes last all day long.

This scent from Fulton & Roark is the perfect everyday perfume because it’s fresh and fragrant without being overwhelming. Top notes of bergamot, cloudberry, pink pepper, and pear leaves give it a fruity opening, while mid notes of oak chips, verbena, tonka bean, and lavender add depth, as do the base notes of cedarwood, tree moss, and amber woods. According to Keller, the scent was “inspired by a springtime bike ride through the Tennessee woods.” The Fulton & Roark co-founder adds that the opening notes are meant to evoke “the breeze and dappled sunlight“ of a day out.

I didn’t understand why I would react so heavily to some dry brushes until I realized that I have very sensitive skin, even on my body. I came across a Virgo-coded collection of body oils and lotions from this small business recently, and when I received them, all I could say was “wow”. My favorite scent from the line is Vibras 01, which has notes of bergamot, cotton, orris, and rose petals before being rounded out by blonde cedarwood and musk. If that’s not a description of scent heaven, then I don’t know what is. That being said, all three scents featured in this core lineup smell divine, so if you don’t have to choose, well, don’t. Get them all. You’ll be well-stocked for winter.

Anything from Clé de Peau is an experience, but this body cream is divine. It’s meant to be paired with massages to really enhance its contouring capabilities, so I made my husband get to work. This is the best fragrance that Creed has ever made. Full stop. Bergamot, Absinthe Leaves, and lavender aren’t typically notes I’d gravitate toward, but Iris Debonair has made it a concoction that I literally crave. I’ve been wearing it nonstop, and the compliments have felt endless.

D’Orsay is one of my favorite niche brands, and Vanilla Affair is continued proof. At the heart of the fragrance are two vanilla notes that are wrapped up in tobacco, musk, patchouli, and more, and the combination takes the sweet, trendy note to new and much more sensual heights. This is vanilla for all the grown folks out there.

You know that really sexy candle that Cécred came out with? Yeah, the scent was called Temple Oud, and they’ve finally released it in a hair perfume. Bergamot, oud, Haitian vetiver, and jasmine are all featured in the scent, and if you want expensive-smelling hair, pick this up. Stat.

A biscuit accord opens this cozy, slightly spicy fragrance created by Bruno Jovanovic for Frédéric Malle, and it’s just as delicious-smelling as you’re imagining. It’s followed up by some heavy hitters like leather, sandalwood, and styrax, but it doesn’t veer into animalic territory. Still, it has that projection and longevity that Malle fragrances are known for, so if you’re looking for a true gourmand from the house, start here.

What’s a fall fragrance tray without a coffee perfume? Dedcool has overdelivered once again with the launch of Mocha Magic perfume. A mix of the most sensual edible notes—coffee, bourbon, chocolate—is expressed with the brand’s signature skin-scent vibe. Wear it alone or layer it with the other scents from the line (Extra Milk is my favorite) for a bespoke scenting moment.

I couldn’t even take this perfume out of the packaging before my husband staked his claim on it. We’re both already obsessed with the original Althaïr, but this flanker takes it to a new level. The addition of notes like amaretto, saffron, and praline takes the fragrance to the boozy, more sensual side of the spectrum, and with the colder months approaching, I can’t wait to whip it out for date nights (and I’m sure my husband can’t either).

I love a chic makeup bag; I can’t help it. Thanks to Leatherology, I think I’ve found the chicest one of them all. The brand released its signature croc train case toiletry bag in a disgustingly good brown color, and even though I’ve vowed not to take anymore trips through the end of the year, I kind of want to hop on a flight just so I can use it. Yes, it’s that serious.

As a beauty editor, I know the whole spiel about regularly changing your bedding. However, in all my days, I have never come across skincare-infused sheets and pillowcases, but Coop has done just that. The Copper+ set is infused with, you guessed it, copper fibers, which the brand says help reduce acne-causing bacteria. Of course, I thought it was just a marketing claim, but I was even more shocked when, according to the National Institutes of Health, copper fibers and copper particles embedded in textiles promote collagen production, reduce wrinkles, and provide antimicrobial benefits. On top of that, the sheets are also insanely soft. I don’t know who’s the genius behind the innovation at Coop, but you have all of my respect for convincing me to add sheets to my skincare routine.

If you love a good solar floral scent, Donna might be right up your alley. While the top note is red orange nectar, on first sniff, I am immediately hit with a sweet, almost bubblegum-like tuberose, which is my favorite expression of the otherwise extremely floral scent. A creamy sandalwood base note adds a milkiness to the scent that keeps it from being cloying or headache-inducing and makes it more akin to a sensual, cozy skin scent. With that being said, don’t let that description fool you; this perfume has beast-mode longevity and will last on your skin for hours until you wash it off. So if you’re looking for a new signature scent (and want something that smells particularly feminine), make a beeline for the Valentino section at your local Sephora.

I live by one primary fragrance principle: scent has no gender. With that in mind, it will likely come as no shock to you that of the two, Uomo is actually my favorite from the Vendetta line. It opens with ginger, one of my favorite (and possibly the most underrated) gourmand notes of all time, followed by cinnamon lacquer and patchouli for a slightly spicy depth that reads to my nose like the chicest glass of whiskey. If you’re really feeling adventurous, take a page out of Johnson’s book and mix the two for an entirely different vibe altogether.

I’m not exaggerating when I say I gasped (in the best way) when I first smelled this perfume. My shock came from the fact that I’m not a huge fan of floral scents—the word jasmine almost made me disregard this perfume altogether. But thank goodness I didn’t because this warm, sensual floral concoction has become one of my favorite perfumes (and I own over 70 bottles). Despite the name, Jasmine Absolute is actually more of an amber scent, than a floral one. Jasmine and bitter almond are likely what you will first smell when you spray it, but what makes this fragrance remarkable is the smooth blend of caramelized toffee and roasted tonka bean that gives it a rich, slightly sweet finish.

As a young child, summer was my favorite season for the sole fact that it contained a months-long break from school. But as an adult autumn has become my preferred season because of the definitively cozy vibe of the cooler months—an ambiance that, for me, is best enhanced by warm, woody scents. I’m constantly looking for fragrances that elevate my experience of the comfy season, and Cedar Chic does just that. The name suggests this is a straight-up woody scent, but this fragrance has so much more character. The perfume opens up with notes of bergamot before drying down to reveal orange blossom, and finally, three cedarwood extracts and soft white musks. The result is a light, clean-smelling fragrance with a lingering warmth that evokes the same feeling as being wrapped in a huge blanket that just came out of the laundry.

As a ride-or-die gourmand lover, I’ve never quite taken to florals—I find the botanical category too sharp and grassy. It’s fairly rare that I find a floral perfume that I immediately love but Good Girl Blush is at the top of that short list. The reason I probably love it so much is that there is a vanilla note snuck in there at the base. It perfectly balances out the crisp notes of bergamot, ylang-ylang, and peony, leaving behind a powdery trail that’s nearly addictive.

Fruity is another category I struggle to get behind—likely because the only fruit I can really tolerate are apples. La Bomba Intense however, is moodier than most fruity perfumes I’ve smelled. Unlike the bright, bubbly personality of many berry-forward perfumes, this scent doesn’t shout juicy; it whispers it. Wild berries undoubtedly lead the parade of notes, but creamy orchid and red amber follow close behind creating a medley that smells less like the inside of a tween clothing store and more like an indulgent, slightly tart dessert—like a bowl of succulent berries with a dollop of cream on top.

Bad Boy is one Carolina Herrera’s three collections for men. Bad Boy Cobalt’s lightning bolt-shaped bottle makes a statement before you even smell the cologne. The liquid inside carries on that conversation as notes of pink pepper and lavender introduce themselves, followed by geranium and earthy vetiver, which give it a masculine edge. It’s not deep enough to register as a nighttime scent but feels more at home during the day, say at brunch or on a casual city stroll where you never know who you’ll run into.

She’s an icon, she’s a legend, and she’s earned her place as one of Carolina Herrera’s best scents. Good Girl is the foundation of many other perfumes in the collection, but don’t consider it the basic original. Though a handful of scents have come after, the original Good Girl—a floral fragrance with amber undertones—is still worth going back to time and time again. Roasted tonka bean and cocoa give this perfume sensual depth that lasts on the skin for hours, and bright jasmine makes the scent undeniably feminine.

If you’re obsessed with petrichor (the scent of the earth after it rains), there’s a good chance that you’re going to love Andrea Maack’s Coven. Thanks to notes like whiskey, oakmoss, galbanum, and cedarwood, this perfume gives wet, mossy, and woody. I can almost smell the foggy forest that the local coven resides in if I close my eyes.

​Review: “I love Coven! It’s just the right amount of smelling dirt with fresh green shoots coming up. I’m not a clean, fresh-smelling girly, and this is a more natural-smelling scent.” — Scentsplit.com

In a similar vein is Heretic’s Nosferatu Eau de Macabre. Notes of lilac, ambergris, and labdanum give it all the ethereal traits that already make a perfume lean more on the supernatural-smelling side of the spectrum, but this one also has orris concrete, which, in my opinion, is the note that gives the perfume that hard-to-describe it-factor. Pick this one up for endless compliments.

A fragrant interpretation of white suede, Guerlain’s Cuir Beluga takes vanilla and amber and wraps it around a delicious patchouli note. So that it doesn’t lean too masculine, floral, aldehydic (or soapy), citrus notes round out the formula. Tack on the beautifully crafted glass bottle that this perfume is housed in, and you’ll quickly see that, witch or not, everyone will be wanting to get their hands on your perfume.

​Review: “On my nose and skin, it’s a beautiful dry and somewhat deep smooth vanilla with a hint of spice to it. It’s a beautiful fragrance and very well blended. To me, it only has a slight sweetness compared to Vanille Planafolia; it’s a lot darker vanilla, which is perfect for occasions and events in the evening. If you want to smell like an old church, but in a dark sexy way, Santa Maria Novella’s Tobacco Toscana will help you do just that. Leather, birchwood, tobacco, and more are combined to tell the story of the first Toscana cigar introduced in Lucca, Italy, back in the 1800s. However, to me, it smells like old church ruins and almost a little like incense. Perfect for that slightly haunted vibe to pair with your Halloween costume.

Pine needle, eucalyptus, and benzoin are notes that don’t usually call to me, but in Chloé’s Sous Les Pins, they just work. Those notes are entwined with others like ambrofix, bergamot, and French cypress for a fresh, woody concoction that neither my husband nor I can get enough of. If you don’t mind sharing, this is one of my favorite unisex scents.

If you’re just getting into niche fragrances, almost everyone I know is obsessed with Diptyque’s Orphéon. “Juniper berry, cedar, tonka bean, and jasmine somehow combine to create the most stunning powdery scent for anyone who prefers their perfumes to have a bit more depth. The longer you wear it, the more its almost soap-like facets begin to appear, so not only do you smell like the epitome of a cool girl, but you also smell super fresh, making this a fantastic year-round signature scent option.

​Review: “I bought it blindly because of my overall regard for the brand. I was shocked by how good it is, even though the bar was high. This seems more complex and intricate than other Diptyque scents. It is soft but very present and feminine, and can be worn all day and into evening, in my opinion. The marriage of all the scents is so delicate that you cannot pinpoint any individual note, which makes it mysterious and makes me want to smell it again and again. Violet is one of my favorite notes, but Le Labo’s Violette 30 takes the plant's leaf and makes it the star of the show. Cedarwood, orris, tea, and musk are also present in this fragrance, and the contrast is as intoxicating as it sounds. This one sits a little closer to the skin, but if your witchy perfume vibe leans more toward intimacy and sensuality, take this as my very enthusiastic endorsement.

​Review: “This is the most addictively beautiful scent and not what you would expect for a perfume with the name Violette. It’s musky and complex. Not sweet at all, which I love, and it dries down gorgeously. This layered with another 13 has become my new signature scent. If you don’t like sweet or too floral perfumes, you’ll love this one.” — Nordstrom

I say this with my full faculties and all the confidence in the world: Creed’s Iris Debonair is the best perfume the house has ever launched. Does it have the storied legacy of the Aventus line? No. But not even the gorgeous pineapple note in the brand’s most popular perfume can make me get over how good Iris Debonair smells. Bergamot, English lavender, violet leaf, iris, and more are featured in this perfume, housed in a beautiful translucent periwinkle bottle. This perfume smells clean and fresh in a way that comes off almost a little soapy, but when you really take in a good lungful, the beautiful nuance of iris becomes even more apparent. I don’t know who the nose behind this scent is, but whoever you are, you need a raise. Immediately.

Another perfume that came across my desk is Mind Games’ Knight’s Tour, and my goodness, it’s fabulous. Lavender and saffron are the key notes, but they are complemented by nutmeg, ginger, and benzoin. The combination it creates is super cool-girl coded, and to be honest, this formula has dethroned my previous obsession, J'adoube, as my favorite perfume from the brand.

I wasn’t much of a Balenciaga gal, but the brand’s fragrance launch may just have converted me. Vanilla XXL, in particular, is a syrupy, boozy take on the popular gourmand scent, but the musk note adds a creaminess that makes it smell a little like Rum and Raisin ice cream (if you know, you know). I can already see it: me, in a tiny black dress, heels, and my favorite vintage mink coat gliding around a holiday party, smelling exactly like this fragrance. I couldn’t paint a more sensual picture.

You’ll have to catch this one while you can, as it’s a city exclusive available only in Paris. Le Labo’s Vanille 44 is a painfully cool take on vanilla, blending incense, guaiac wood, aldehydes, and musks for a more intimate, “skin scent” take on the gourmand note. If you don’t love vanillas that lean more toward the baked-goods end of the spectrum, this is a perfect (and very cozy) place to start.

Again, I don’t typically recommend citrus-leaning perfumes for fall, but Bond No. 9’s Scent of Peace for All is making me eat my words. I say citrus-leaning because the perfume opens with notes of pink grapefruit, tangerine, and creamy pear, then gives way to bran absolute, tobacco, and musk, among other heart and base notes. The combination shifts from effervescent and citrusy to green and slightly herbaceous, then dries down close to the skin, where it lingers for hours.

I am new to the Véronique Gabai fan club, but Eau de la Nuit has me vying to become president. This perfume is technically a booster, meaning it was made to enhance the longevity of the fragrances that it’s paired with. However, I’ve been wearing it on its own, and I have no other words to describe it other than “wow.” Bergamot, pink pepper, and woods are the stars of this formulation, but I smell the sparkling, citrusy quality the bergamot adds throughout the fragrance's life, and it makes me want to spray the entire bottle onto my body at once. Is that excessive? Yes. Will it make you want to do the same? Also yes.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian is well known for the famous Baccarat Rouge 540, but not enough people talk about the oud collection from the brand. The latest addition to the line is called Oud Velvet Mood, and it feels like the missing puzzle piece that has found its perfect place between the brand’s two previous oud scents. This iteration has notes of saffron, peach, jasmine, and, of course, agarwood, also known as oud. It’s a surprisingly warm and wearable oud perfume that I think anyone would really appreciate, as it’s one of the most unisex ouds I’ve come across in a while.

I will say this until I am blue in the face, but Alberto Morillas is a legitimate genius. The perfumer behind my wedding perfume is also the nose behind Gucci’s The Voice of the Snake, another surprisingly wearable oud bomb. Oud, patchouli, saffron, and leather are a few of the notes you’ll encounter in this scent, but despite how heavy all of this sounds, it warms up into a sweet, resinous concoction on my skin that I simply cannot get enough of.

If you want a perfume that people will love but can’t quite pinpoint, the aptly named I Don’t Know What by D.S. & Durga should be on your list. Bergamot, iso e. super, and civetone (a synthetic musk) perfectly mesh together to create a scent that almost feels like the Pro Max version of your skin. Depending on how much of a presence you want to be for the day, one or two sprays keep it at a true skin-scent level, while five or more will get you compliments from strangers on the street an almost concerning number of times. Ask me how I know.

If you’ve read even one of my fragrance stories, there's a very good chance that I’ve talked about this perfume. Not only is it my favorite, possibly of all time, but it is the most inoffensive, crowd-pleasing scent that I own. This is thanks to the fact that it is composed of a single note, iso e super, a scent that smells different on everyone. On me, it smells clean and a little sweet, but never overwhelming, no matter how much I spray, which is the magic of this composition.
