Judging by Jennifer Aniston's Christmas post on Instagram, the holiday season is about one thing: Spending time with those you love. And by "those you love," I mostly mean dogs.

On Dec. 25, the Murder Mystery star posted a carousel of photos with the caption, "Sending you ALL the love ❤️ Happy holidays! 🎄🎁🐾." And while she did include a number of photos of her dogs—did you notice that paw print emoji?—some fans might be more interested to know that she also featured a photo of her boyfriend, Jim Curtis. One of the 11 photos shows Curtis smiling at a baby while lifting the little one up above his head.

Other uploads include dogs sitting in front of a Christmas tree, Aniston posing with a dog on a balcony, a dog posing in front of a dog-themed welcome mat, and a video of the dogs lounging with their toys. Oh, and there are a few non-canine photos. There's one of Aniston with her friend Andrea Bendewald and couple pics of a sunset.

Curtis and Aniston went public with their relationship in November when she posted a birthday message for him on Instagram. The 56-year-old actor shared a black and white photo of herself hugging Curtis, and wrote in the caption, "Happy birthday my love Cherished ❤️."

Curtis commented a kissy face emoji, and the post also got the approval of Aniston's Morning Show co-star Reese Witherspoon. "Happy Birthday ! LOVE this Lovestory," Witherspoon wrote.

Curtis also shared his own Instagram that featured Aniston and other friends. He wrote, "If this is a dream I don’t want to wake up. ❤️"

Not long after sharing their Instagram posts, Aniston spoke about Curtis in a November interview with Elle. Talking about his career as a hypnotist and life coach, she said, "Hypnotism is one of the many things that he does. He’s quite extraordinary, and helps many, many people. He’s very special, very normal, and very kind, and wants to help people heal, move through their trauma and stagnation into clarity. It’s a beautiful thing to commit your life to."

Aniston and Curtis' relationship was first reported back in July after they were seen together in Mallorca. They were said to have been set up by mutual friends.

"They are being super private but have been spending a lot of time together," a source told Us Weekly. "They are happy and really into each other."

The source went on , "They've been hanging out a lot, but very much on the DL at her home in L.A. It’s very Zen, and she has always been very much into that. They’re a good match."

Princess Kate is regularly celebrated for her style, and often inspires royal fans to copy her outfits. However, a new online survey has discovered that another member of the Royal Family is considered to be the "ultimate style icon of all time," and it's not the Princess of Wales.

In a poll conducted by Zingo Bingo, 35 percent of respondents named Princess Diana as the "ultimate style icon." David and Victoria Beckham secured second place with 10 percent of the vote, and Jennifer Aniston followed with 9 percent. Diana was the only member of the Royal Family to feature on the list.

Zingo Bingo's spokesperson, Jack Watson, told Marie Claire, "For decades, celebrities and public figures have set the tone for fashion trends, creating iconic moments that are still referenced today. It's no surprise that Princess Diana stood out most to respondents, given her timeless sense of style."

As for why Diana was chosen instead of other royals, Watson said, "Her 'revenge dress' is still talked about, while her more understated looks, like oversized jumpers and cycling shorts, continue to influence the fashion of today."

Watson further noted, "David and Victoria Beckham's high placement on the list also feels fitting. Their recent appearances in documentaries have brought renewed attention to their memorable style moments and highlighted Victoria's ongoing impact in the fashion world."

It's also important to note that Princess Diana's influence has continued almost three decades after her death.

"What these survey results really show is how strong the pull of nostalgic fashion still is," Watson explained. "Many of these past trends are clearly making their way back into the mainstream—and people are embracing them."

While many royal fans will be shocked that Princess Kate didn't make the list, Diana's influence on style remains unmatched.

In just 24 hours, I've spotted every Fall 2025 shoe in Marie Claire's trend report at New York Fashion Week. I thought Textured Sneakers might take a minute to appear, but on September 11, Jennifer Aniston proved me wrong.

The Friends alum was spotted in Adidas Sambas sneakers mere hours into Fashion Month's first official day. Her $100 colorway was as classic as it gets: white with red stripes. Even the gum-sole treads felt straight out of 1972, when the football-inspired shoes officially launched.

Aniston's shade marked the perfect introduction to styling Sambas. They looked timeless alongside skinny jeans in a light-wash finish. On top, she draped a black sweater over the shoulders of her white T-shirt. It hid her leather messenger tote, also in black. Instead of the $150 Dune London bucket bag she carried yesterday, Aniston went with a top-flap tote.

According to Us Weekly, Aniston recently started dating 49-year-old wellness expert and hypnotist Jim Curtis. "They are being super private but have been spending a lot of time together," a source told the outlet. "They are happy and really into each other."

The source elaborated, "They've been hanging out a lot, but very much on the DL at her home in [Los Angeles]...It's very Zen, and she has always been very much into that. They're a good match."

A source told the publication that Aniston and Curtis "started off as friends but really hit it off" after being introduced by "mutual friends."

Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox have paid an emotional tribute to their late Friends costar Matthew Perry one year on from his death at the age of 54.

On Oct. 28, Aniston, who played Rachel Green, posted a sweet black and white photo of herself with Perry in the '90s, as well as other photos of times they've shared, with the caption, "1 year," plus a wounded heart and a dove emoji. She also tagged the Matthew Perry Foundation, which works to support those dealing with addiction.

Elsewhere, Perry's stepfather Keith Morrison opened up about how the actor felt about himself during his lifetime.

It's undeniable that Perry was loved beyond measure. At the time of the 17 Again actor's death, tributes poured in from every corner of the world, including from his famous costars and friends.

"You could take a straight line of dialogue and bend it to your will, resulting in something so entirely original and unexpectedly funny it still astonishes.

It's hard to believe that Friends came out 30 years ago. In honor of the sitcom's 30th anniversary, Courteney Cox has been reflecting on the hit TV show, which continues to find new fans in 2024.

Cox spoke to People at a Rock4EB event on Saturday, September 21, where she marveled at the success of Friends.

"It's just insane to me because it feels like time, it goes so fast and I don't realize it," she said of the fact the TV show launched three decades ago on September 22, 1994. "We used to say, 'Oh, I can't wait for this month,' or 'God, it feels like forever.' I would never say that line anymore."

Cox also discussed where her beloved character, Monica Geller, would be today. "Monica is alive and well," the actress told People. "Are you kidding?"

While Friends remains a cultural touchstone, Cox doesn't revisit old episodes all that often. "But whenever I do come across it, I can't help but [watch]," she told the outlet.

Like viewers all over the globe, Cox remains grateful that Friends continues to entertain new fans.

"That show is incredible," she told the outlet. "Every joke holds up, all the characters are just so amazing, and we [had] the best writers in the world. I'm lucky that it continues on through all the generations. And that's very fortunate."

Sadly, however, the Cougar Town star isn't convinced that a Friends reboot would work.

"It’s hard to try to redo anything," she told People. "Anything with 're' in front of it with this group... I think it's so special."

While a reboot is off the table, the cast did reunite for Friends: The Reunion in 2021. Many of the cast members have also remained close since filming ended, with Cox, Jennifer Aniston, and Lisa Kudrow sometimes sharing photos from evenings they've spent together.

Unfortunately, the cast lost one of their own in October 2023. Friends fans all over the world mourned the death of Matthew Perry, who played Cox's love interest, Chandler Bing, on the hit show.

The TV series, which also stars Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell and Greta Lee, currently has three seasons, with the last ending on a cliffhanger that fans can't wait to find out the resolution to in season four—though there isn't a release date for it as of yet.

At the Emmys, The Morning Show took home three awards, and counted a whopping 16 nominations total.

For the awards show, Aniston showed up looking as glamorous as one would expect. She posed for photos in a strapless, floor-length crystal-embellished version of a naked dress, by Oscar de la Renta, accessorizing with silver-toned crystal and diamond jewelry.

Jennifer Aniston will absolutely not stand for resurfaced comments J.D. Vance made about women in 2021.

"I truly can't believe this is coming from a potential VP of The United States," Aniston wrote in an Instagram Story on Wednesday, alongside a quote from Vance's interview at the time.

"All I can say is... Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day. I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option. Because you are trying to take that away from her, too."

During an interview on Fox News in 2021, Vance said, "What I was basically saying is that we're effectively run in this country, via the Democrats, via our corporate oligarchs, by a bunch of childless cat ladies, who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they've made, and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too."

Meanwhile, many people have pointed out that Vice-President Harris is not "childless," as Vance put it. She shares step-children Cole and Ella with her husband Doug Emhoff.

Lisa Kudrow actually really did hate the studio audience laughter while filming Friends.

It was her costar and friend Jennifer Aniston who first revealed this tidbit about Kudrow a few weeks ago, and now the Romy and Michele's High School Reunion star is explaining why exactly it bothered her so much.

"'Cause they were laughing for too long. It wasn't that funny. That's why," Kudrow said on the Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend podcast.

"It wasn't an honest response, and it irritated me. Now you're just ruining the timing of the rest of the show. I mean, there are other lines. I mean, I didn't say it. Sometimes I would, just, look out if they'd be laughing too long, and sometimes I would just look out and go, 'Come on.'" She also shook her head and frowned, adding, "Really angry."

The actress went on to explain that she felt the laughter ruined the timing of the comedy.

"Because a TV show is not for the studio audience," she told O'Brien. "It's made for the TV viewers at home, so that's who we're in service to.

"If it were a stage play, yeah! Laugh as long as you want, I'll figure out things to keep my character busy, waiting to continue with it, that's fine, but then it's being filmed and now I'm just sort of like standing there. And then you do, like, things that you hate, you know, just like nod, like, 'Ah, that's right, I said that!' It's terrible."

Even worse, Kudrow explained that the audience had in fact been told not to laugh for too long, but they ignored the request.

"I think they instructed our audience not to do anything like that," she said. "We did so many takes they did stop laughing, which then made the writers think, 'Well, then, it doesn't work.' It's like, 'No, it worked. It worked the first time.'"

In a conversation with Quinta Brunson for Variety's Actors on Actors series last month, Aniston revealed, "Lisa Kudrow hated, by the way, when the audience laughed." She added, "She'd be like, 'Uh, are you still... I'm not done! It's not that funny.'"

Kudrow then confirmed her pal's allegations speaking to Entertainment Tonight.

"It irritated me if they would laugh for too long," she said. "God bless 'em, they were so excited to be there that sometimes the laughter would just be longer than they would have laughed at anything else."

To be fair, who could blame these poor audience members? They were making television history, after all. But also, I totally get where Kudrow is coming from. Just one of those things!

"It irritated me if they would laugh for too long," the Romy and Michele's High School Reunion star said. "God bless 'em, they were so excited to be there that sometimes the laughter would just be longer than they would have laughed at anything else."

She continued, "I was like, 'Alright, well, take it easy. It's not that funny, and there's more to say!'"

Asked if she'd ever participate in another sitcom filmed in front of a live studio audience, Kudrow said, "I think so! Why not?"

She spoke to ET while promoting her new TV series Time Bandits, in which she stars alongside Taika Waititi. The show premieres on Apple TV+ on July 24.

The show is an adaptation of the 1981 movie by the same name, and follows the adventures of "a young boy who discovers a time-traveling portal in his bedroom," according to iMDb.

Kudrow and Aniston costarred on Friends between 1994 and 2004, and have remained close friends ever since. They regularly hang out and support each other during important occasions—such as the time both women showed up for Courteney Cox' Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in 2023. They really said "I'll be there for you," huh?

In 2023, Aniston said her and Cox have "been through so many things together" after meeting in the 90s and striking an instant friendship on the set of the beloved and iconic television show, Friends.

“The show taught us the importance of camaraderie and really sticking together," she explained at the time. "And it’s taught me about being there for each other— know, that’s the song, I’ll be there for you. But it’s true.” 

During an emotional speech after Cox received her coveted Hollywood Walk of Fame star, a teary-eyed Aniston said that "to be friends with Courteney is to be family with Courteney."

Friends—the hit NBC sitcom that launched Jennifer Aniston’s career, as well as the careers of her five co-stars—will turn 30 years old this year, and naturally, it came up in conversation when fellow actress Quinta Brunson interviewed Aniston for Variety’s Actors on Actors series. 

After a producer prompted Brunson to ask about what it’s like for Aniston to watch episodes of Friends in 2024, Aniston got emotional and said “Oh God, don’t make me cry.” Brunson emphatically responds, telling Aniston “But you’re already crying. Do you want a minute? We don’t have to talk about—”

“No, no. Sorry,” Aniston responded. “I just started thinking about…Yeah, no. I’m okay. It’s a happy tear.”

Aniston recovered and spoke about Friends—which aired for 10 years, from 1994 to 2004—and what it felt like to see the beloved show turn 30: “It’s so strange to even think that it’s 30 years old, because I remember the day that it was going to premiere on television, on NBC,” Aniston said, per Entertainment Weekly. “Me and Matthew Perry were having lunch somewhere, and we knew Lisa [Kudrow] was getting her hair colored. So we ran into the hair salon, and I snuck up—she was in the sink, hair bowl—and I took the nozzle and just started washing her hair from the guy that was supposed to be doing it. It definitely flew out of control, and that was unfortunate. But the excitement we had—it feels like yesterday.”

Aniston and Kudrow—as well as Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer—continue to mourn the loss of Perry, who died at just 54 years old last October. But, thankfully, there are 10 years’ worth of memories onscreen that will never go away. “The fact that it’s had this long, wonderful life and it still means a lot to people is one of the greatest gifts I think all five of us—all six of us—we never could imagine,” Aniston said. “I talked on FaceTime with [Cox] last night for an hour, and Lisa and the boys, and we just have a really—it’s a family forever.”

Aniston also expounded how the time the show was filmed—pre-the technology of today—allowed her and her five co-stars to escape criticism of the show. “It was in the ‘90s and 2000s, and we had a luxury of there not being social media or the internet, so we were so isolated and protected,” she said. “You weren’t faced with what people are commenting and ripping you apart or whatever. It was a dreamy time, and I know I sound sort of nostalgic, but we were really about the work, we were really about the show.”

She added, poignantly, “It was really an innocent time, where we could roam about the world a lot easier.”

It is, perhaps, a little unfair to judge Friends while it was finding its footing—which is common for a lot of shows. But a plotline where Phoebe finds a literal thumb in her soda and Monica doesn't like her boyfriend is a cross between weird and unfunny.

"The One Where Nana Dies Twice" (season 1, episode 8)

Half of this episode is sweet and nostalgic, with a tender sendoff to Ross and Monica's grandmother. And then the other half of the episode is a rumination on Chandler's sexuality and whether he gives off a "gay vibe." It won't be the last time we say it on this list: That didn't age well!

"The One With The Evil Orthodontist" (season 1, episode 20)

There's nothing inherently wrong with parts of this episode, but it feels like Rachel's silly storylines don't make sense for her character (sleeping with her ex-fiancé Barry). Essentially, her decisions feel like meandering ways to keep her away from Ross for as long as possible.

"The One With The Fake Monica" (season 1, episode 21)

This is quite a cool premise, with Monica tracking down the woman who stole her credit card and then surprisingly bonding with the woman. But this is also one of the episodes with Ross and monkey Marcel—and that's one of the weakest subplots the show has ever had.

"The One With The Ick Factor" (season 1, episode 22)

Monica dates a 17-year-old (accidentally!). That's it, that's the whole joke. This one, predictably, aged badly, but it's also a good example of when the A plotline doesn't work—and then the whole episode doesn't work even when the B plotline is fine.

"The One With Phoebe’s Dad" (season 2, episode 9)

Fans apparently weren't a fan of how "cramped" the episode is. If you don't remember, Phoebe takes Chandler and Joey to meet her estranged dad and they spend most of the episode inside a taxi. This one gets redeemed from all the "gifts" they bring home from the gas station.

"The One Where Eddie Won't Go" (season 2, episode 19)

Friends is far from the only show that used mental illness for comedy in the '90s. But framing that illness as a punchline ("Ding dong, the psycho's gone!") is not a great look, even if guest star Adam Goldberg is very funny.

"The One with the Metaphorical Tunnel" (season 3, episode 4)

Even if you don't know Friends very well, you're probably familiar with the one where Ross gets freaked out when his son plays with a Barbie. It's absolutely karma to see him having a tea party in lady clothes as "Bea," but we still don't like the premise.

"The One with the Giant Poking Device" (season 3, episode 8)

Many fans crack up at “Ugly Naked Guy" and all those related plotlines. The joke feels superficial and falls flat now—and it's especially altruistic to see the gang try to poke him to see if he's still alive in this episode.

"The One With Phoebe's Ex-Partner" (season 3, episode 14)

Ross, trying to impress Rachel, attends a fashion seminar with her—and falls asleep. Phoebe's bitter about her ex-partner wanting to sell "Smelly Cat" to advertisers. Joey throws an ex's wooden leg into a fire(?). The whole episode feels like a bad look.

"The One Where Ross and Rachel Take a Break" (season 3, episode 15)

This one is almost as hotly debated as it was on the show—were Ross and Rachel on a break? Was he cheating? Was their argument (which felt contrived and based on Ross' insecurity) even valid? But the result is probably what Ross-and-Rachel fans really hate.

"The One With the Morning After" (season 3, episode 16)

After Rachel discovers Ross slept with someone else—and he insists they were on a break—the two have an all-out fight while the other friends hide in the bedroom. It is a long, drawn-out, painful fight, and (while it might be a good episode) it's tough to watch.

"The One with the Ballroom Dancing" (season 4, episode 4)

“How goes the dancing? Gay yet?” is a line uttered by Monica after Joey agrees to help their building's superintendent learn how to dance for an upcoming ball. It's a brutal summation of how this episode treated the thought of (gasp!) two guys platonically touching.

"The One With the Fake Party" (season 4, episode 16)

You might remember this one as when Rachel dresses up in a cheerleading outfit to try and seduce someone. It's also the one where Rachel's fake party ruins Ross' last night with Emily, and she comes off as incredibly immature most of the night.

"The One With the Invitation" (season 4, episode 21)

Friends was not the only sitcom to rely on"clip" episodes (or flashback episodes) that show previous moments in the series. But when they did, fans often felt cheated—even in this case, where Rachel is debating whether to attend Ross' wedding to Emily.

"The One Where Rachel Smokes" (season 5, episode 18)

This features one of the most '90s plotlines the show has ever seen: Rachel briefly feels like she has to take up smoking because it's helping her have important, off-the-cuff conversations with her boss. It was divisive among the characters even at the time, and even weirder now.

"The One With the Apothecary Table" (season 6, episode 11)

A.k.a. "The One That Is Just an Ad for Pottery Barn." Shows hadn't landed on how much product placement to use, so this one refers to unnecessary items (including said apothecary table). Phoebe ends up loving and keeping it, though, so that's a plus?

"The One That Could Have Been" (season 6, episodes 15-16)

The notion of "putting Monica in a fat suit for flashback episodes" is widely regarded today as a completely offensive punchline. While watching the character awkwardly dance might have once been considered funny, now it just feels heartbreaking. And to add insult to injury, she's also a virgin in this alternate reality.

"The One Where Ross Dates A Student" (season 6, episode 18)

Sometimes you don't need any explanation beyond the title. Much like Monica accidentally dating a high schooler, Ross briefly dates one of his students—except it's not an accident, and he is shocked to discover it's against the rules. Sheesh.

"The One With Mac and C.H.E.E.S.E." (season 6, episode 20)

Yet another clip episode. Here, Chandler screws up and doesn't write down an important note for Joey's callback time. And then we get a bunch of throwback scenes reminding us of all the times the friends have screwed up. So, you know! That happened!

"The One With Rachel's Assistant" (season 7, episode 4)

Rachel hires an assistant because he's hot (and deeply underqualified) and then she starts a relationship with him. This is right up there with sleeping with a student or a guy who's not even 18, except the guy in question, Tad, ends up being deeply annoying on top of that.

"The One with the Truth About London" (season 7, episode 16)

In another instance of fat-shaming from the show, this episode contains an "alternate reality" in which Joey and Monica get together. Both characters have to wear fat suits, and it's just depressing—especially since the rest of the episode features a bunch of fun, silly pranks between Ross, Ben, and Rachel.

"The One With Ross and Monica's Cousin" (season 7, episode 19)

Or rather, "The One Where Ross Tries to Kiss His Cousin." Yes, said cousin is a young Denise Richards, who's always a joy to see. Yes, as Ross explains, he hasn't been with anyone in a long time. But they really could not sell the idea at the end of the day. (Couldn't she have been a family friend?)

"The One With Chandler's Dad" (season 7, episode 22)

If you're unfamiliar, Chandler's dad is a drag performer in Vegas. And that situation leads to bad, insensitive, and generally unpleasant jokes. Kathleen Turner, who plays Charles Bing, has even said she wouldn't take on the role today.

"The One With the Rumor" (season 8, episode 9)

Wow, this episode aged badly. It's weird enough watching guest star Brad Pitt's character Will actively antagonize the character played by his then-wife, knowing the two would get divorced in real life. It's even worse when we remember that Will admitted to starting a nasty, insensitive rumor about Rachel in high school that she was intersex, which shouldn't be a joke to begin with.

"The One Where Joey Dates Rachel" (season 8, episode 12)

This episode is an exercise in contrasts. On one hand, watching Ross try to get across Manhattan in 10 minutes is very funny. On the other hand, this fake date between Joey and Rachel starts us down the plotline of the two dating, which many fans will argue was a mistake.

"The One With Ross's Step Forward" (season 8, episode 11)

There isn't anything overtly wrong with this episode, but some fans avoid watching it because it's just another example of the men on the show being bad at relationships. Although, Ross giving away his apartment key because he doesn't have a copy is funny.

"The One With Joey's Interview" (season 8, episode 19)

Another flashback episode! The conceit is good—Joey needs to nail an interview, which is difficult because he is Joey—but it's also a good example of why Joey is best served as a side character. It's at least rewarding that he nails the interview in the end.

"The One With the Male Nanny" (season 9, episode 6)

Ross and Rachel hire a male nanny, and "hilarity" ensues because Ross can't fathom how a straight man would want to take care of children. Also, Phoebe sort of cheats on Mike with her ex David (we love you, Hank Azaria, just not the character!)—and the love triangle doesn't really work.

"The One With Ross's Inappropriate Song" (season 9, episode 7)

It's pretty hilarious that Ross and Rachel have to rap Sir Mix-a-Lot's “Baby Got Back” to get their daughter to sleep. But if you'll recall, this is also the episode where Chandler goes and looks at a sex tape of Monica and Richard. Say it now: Ew.

"The One With Phoebe's Rats" (season 9, episode 12)

Phoebe loves animals: Sure! Phoebe has some pet rats: Okay. Mike accidentally killing them: Disturbing, frankly. The side plot about Joey wanting to hook up with Ross and Rachel's nanny: Getting old at this point. You could tell that the show was running out of ideas a little bit.

"The One With the Donor" (season 9, episode 22)

There are some good plotlines here, particularly with Monica and Chandler's reckoning with not being able to have a child. But it also features the return of David, in another diversion from Phoebe ultimately being with Mike, and leans in on the bitterness of the other main characters.

As it turns out, her secret is to unplug. "I've tried to stay off Instagram, honestly, as much as I can," she shares, citing the detrimental effect social media can have on the psyche, famous or not. "It also probably keeps me out of what's currently trending."

This is probably going to sound weird, but a forty-day silent retreat. That's something that I've heard about and thought, "Ooh, that'd be really nice to do that." But then you try to imagine yourself being silent for an hour and that just seems impossible. How do they do it for 40 days? I admire it.

I would probably have to say the 40-day silent retreat. I signed up for it and I backed out all in the same two minutes.

Workout-wise, I've done everything—kickboxing, regular boxing, high-intensity workouts—there are so many different forms. Everything is kind of a trend, but I realized over the years that some of those are really tough on your body over time. So now I do low-impact.

Oh, well, that would be a workout with Dani Coleman. If I could just have Dani every day, first thing when I wake up in the morning, well, there's nothing better. I always have challenges with sleep myself, so if I'm coming in a little underslept, she just knows how to adjust. She inspires me to move my body and her Pvolve workouts are so much easier on the body because they're functional fitness. It's not banging your body. It gets your heart rate up, it works out your muscles, it keeps you functioning throughout your days. And that's ultimately where I've found myself. My body does better with this.

I found her through an injury. It's really frustrating if you can't move your body. That's what keeps my endorphins going; keeps my blood and my brain operating. So when this was introduced to me, I could work out and preserve my body so that it could heal, as opposed to having to just sort of sit for a month until I was all healed.

My wellness philosophy is 80/20. You have to live your life, enjoy yourself, but also stick to your goals. Eat healthy, work out, sleep, drink, water, all that stuff, and then you can truly enjoy a little of whatever you choose to be your 20 percent of fun.

I have a really great therapist that I trust. She's not on an app or anything, but she's just a great person that I connect with every week about keeping sane, especially these days when everything is so insane.

I can't believe there is still a stigma around mental health. I mean, who doesn't need someone to check in with? Also, I have an incredible group of girlfriends. We check in once a week, always. But I think it's always really good to talk stuff through with someone who's not inside of your circle or inside of your world, who can have a little bit more of an objective viewpoint on things.

I don't turn to a wellness app or a fitness app. I try to have that in person. Listen, if it comes to shopping, I'm an app's target. Instagram sees me coming miles away. It's like, "Here she comes. Let's get up the sleep pillow. Let's get up the cute workout clothes. Let's get up the cute sweatpants." I mean, half of what I'm wearing is Instagram purchases. But when it comes to a wellness situation, I usually stick to that in-person.

I usually go to a girlfriend's house or have them come over. Or I get outside, plant my feet in the grass, take some deep breaths, and meditate.

When I'm with my friends, we're just being present and talking about what's going on.

Generally speaking, I'm a pretty happy human. I mean, I do get sad. Listen, the world is challenging obviously right now, and I think for all human beings, if you have a pulse and you have a heart, you're hurting a little bit right now.

Stay out of the news as much as you can. Keep screen time limited. It works for me, at least. And am I out of the loop on certain things? I am. But if there's something I have to know, someone will tell me. I just know that right now, I don't think that we as human beings are designed to take in as much information as often as we do now. I mean, I can't imagine being a teenager in this day and age, or being the parent of a teenager in this day and age.

On a beach. Anywhere with beautiful sand, a gorgeous, clean ocean, and a margarita. I always love Mexico because it's right there for me. Also the Caribbean if we're going to dream big, with that white, beautiful water where you can see all the way down to the bottom—because I also don't like surprises in the ocean.

I would probably say keep it up. I was into wellness. I went to a performing arts school, so it was mandatory to take a dance class. I just loved moving my body. So I found myself getting into aerobics, roller skating, rollerblading. Early on, I discovered that moving my body really worked for me, and I liked the benefits of it at a pretty young age, but that was also just because I went to that school. I probably wouldn't have gotten the bug otherwise, I would imagine.

I remember I would take jazz class at this place called Steps on Broadway. My girlfriends and I would go and we'd take jazz class and then sweat and have a really great workout. Then, we'd go have pizza, because that's what you could do when you were a teenager. I didn't quite get the fitness-nutrition connection at that point.

Friends is a show that's so beloved and timeless that many fans are always somewhere in a re-watch, or at least throwing on an episode when they need a laugh. Frankly, it's tough to pick a definite list of the best Friends episodes, because everyone will have a different ranking, and they'd all be right. And yet, here we are, reminiscing about the best of the best, and ruminating over which episodes had the most entertaining storyline, banter, and character development for our favorite six Manhattanites Chandler (Matthew Perry), Joey (Matt LeBlanc), Monica (Courteney Cox), Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow), Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Ross (David Schwimmer).

If you're a superfan, you might revisit old episodes for the Easter eggs and the real-life context that drove the show. (In the 2021 Max reunion special, for example, Aniston and Schwimmer admitted they had feelings for each other and threw that mutual love into their characters.) You may also view the show now as a loving memorial to the incredible talent of the late Perry. But if you don't know it quite well, or are looking for a stand-out episode to throw on, below you can find a list of which Friends episodes are most worth your time.

"The One Where It All Began" (season 1, episode 1)

The first words of the entire show are, “There’s nothing to tell!” Even though it was the pilot, it’s still a fantastic episode, where we immediately see the chemistry between the characters, particularly the spark between Ross and Rachel.

"The One with the Blackout" (season 1, episode 7)

The core cast later said that, looking back, they really knew they were making something special when they filmed this episode. It’s a crossover with other shows at the time, including Seinfeld and Mad About You, that all aired the same night in a huge monolithic event.

"The One with Phoebe's Husband" (season 2, episode 4)

This one features a delightful cameo from Steve Zahn, and top-notch chemistry between him and Kudrow. The opening is also funny—with Rachel trapping a pigeon in a pot and then letting it go in surprise when she finds out Phoebe is married. Also, this is where the long-running "third nipple" bit first comes into play.

"The One Where Ross Finds Out" (season 2, episode 7)

This one features an iconic scene between Ross and Rachel, where she jumps on his back as he’s listening to the message she left him while drunk on a blind date and admitting her feelings for him. (What a mouthful, but also a great physical comedy.) That kiss follows the dramatic confrontation, and although it's technically not their first on-screen kiss (the first being from a dream sequence), it's one of the series' most swoon-worthy moments.

"The One With the Prom Video" (season 2, episode 14)

There are many references and details in the titular old, home video at the center of this episode, from Ross' hair to the '80s fashion. (There are also some very dated, problematic jokes, like Monica's fat suit.) Ultimately, it's an important Ross-Rachel episode—in which Phoebe proclaims, "She's your lobster!" and they share a great kiss.

"The One Where No One’s Ready" (season 3, episode 2)

The brilliance of this episode is that it's shot entirely in Monica and Rachel’s apartment, and pretty accurate to the timing of the episode—they basically have 30 minutes to get ready—so the episode plays out pretty real to time. And then, obviously, there's Joey wearing all of Chandler's clothes.

"The One With the Football" (season 3, episode 9)

This one features some classic scenes, including the part where the girls try to beat the boys in football using unconventional tactics (including Phoebe's attempt to distract Chandler by flashing him). That, plus the fun detail of the Gellar Cup (a troll doll on a 2x4), makes this a hidden gem of detail.

"The One With the Ultimate Fighting Champion" (season 3, episode 24)

Friends has a handful of great celebrity cameos, and "The One with the Ultimate Fighting Champion" is peak Jon Favreau. Not to mention, this also features a very short but very funny appearance by legends Billy Crystal and the late Robin Williams.

"The One With the Jellyfish" (season 4, episode 1)

The combo of Monica, Joey, and Chandler is underrated—they have amazing banter. Plus, this one has a funny and foretelling scene between Monica and Chandler where she says, “I love you—but you will always be the guy who peed on me,” as a reason not to date him.

"The One With Chandler in a Box" (season 4, episode 8)

Friends was particularly good at their holiday content, and this classic Thanksgiving episode was no exception. At its core, this seasonal installment is all about reaffirming to men everywhere that they can have besties and it’s okay to show feelings.

"The One With the Embryos" (season 4, episode 12)

This one includes the now-classic competition between Rachel, Monica, Joey, and Chandler, emceed by Ross, where they bet Rachel and Monica's apartment to the winner. Spoiler alert: The girls lose, and Monica (borrowing a line from Ross) screams, “NOOOOOO!” in hilarious fashion.

"The One with Ross's Wedding" (season 4, episodes 23 and 24)

Friends relied on its twist endings and cliffhangers to keep its audience guessing what would happen next. The two-part season 4 finale was probably the best example of the form, with the introduction of Monica and Chandler's relationship and Ross' gasp-inducing slip-up at the altar, "I, Ross, take thee Rachel."

"The One After Ross Says Rachel" (season 5, episode 1)

Season 5 of Friends deals with the fallout of all the bombshells from Ross and Emily's wedding. It's not just a major step forward for the show, but it ultimately sets up many of the storylines that last through the rest of the series in the best, most awkward-funny way.

"The One With All the Resolutions" (season 5, episode 11)

Many superfans cite this as their all-time favorite episode, in part because it features a hilarious—and very long—bit of physical comedy, thanks to Ross' leather pants. And Rachel and Joey discussing Monica’s and Chandler’s secret relationship? Chef's kiss.

"The One Where Everybody Finds Out" (season 5, episode 14)

One memorable line says it all: "They don't know that we know that they know!" This domino effect of discovery, combined with the pure chaos that the show was so good at, makes this one a narrative pretzel in the best possible way.

"The One with the Cop" (season 5, episode 16)

Also known as the "PIVOT!" episode (another highly meme-able moment that the show originated), this one also features Phoebe's highly questionable decision to find a cop's badge and use it wildly before being caught by the handsome cop it belongs to.

"The One Where Phoebe Runs" (season 6, episode 7)

If you've forgotten, this is where we learn that Phoebe runs like she's being chased: "a cross between Kermit the Frog and The Six Million Dollar Man," as Rachel puts it. It's a fan-favorite among Phoebe devotees.

"The One With the Routine" (season 6, episode 10)

Even if you don't know Friends well, you probably know this highly meme-ed dance routine with Ross and Monica. Even as adults, their sibling rivalry comes into play throughout the series, so it's a joy to see them tag-team on this New Year's Eve episode as they try to fulfill their dream of being featured on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve.

"The One With Rachel's Sister" (season 6, episode 13)

Hi, Reese Witherspoon! This one's still very culturally relevant, as Jennifer Aniston and Witherspoon have remained friends and even worked together again on The Morning Show. At the end of the episode, when the two sisters say goodbye to each other—"BYE BYEEEE!"—it became a prototypical version of, "I'm saying goodbye, but clearly dissing you."

"The One With the Nap Partners" (season 7, episode 6)

This one features a rare but satisfying interplay between Ross and Joey. And while the bloopers that accompany each season are always funny (and sometimes the best part of the show), the bloopers from the nap scene are extra special. They're arguably funnier than the scene itself.

"The One Where They All Turn Thirty" (season 7, episode 14)

The episode is structured brilliantly, with flashbacks to how the six friends handled the milestone of turning 30. Monica’s is probably the best; Courteney Cox playing the character as very drunk is incredible to watch. There's also fun foreshadowing here!

"The One With the Red Sweater" (season 8, episode 2)

Friends prided itself on its season mysteries and how the gang finds out about them. This one, where Monica, Phoebe, Joey, and the audience discover that Ross is the father of Rachel’s baby, is a well-paced and acted conundrum.

"The One With the Videotape" (season 8, episode 4)

If you're looking for a classic episode with the entire ensemble interacting with one another, this is it. Specifically, they each give an incredible look when it's revealed that Rachel came on to Ross the night they conceived their child together.

"The One with the Halloween Party" (season 8, episode 6)

The Halloween episodes are always a joy, in part because of the costume each character wears. In this one, Chandler dresses like a legendary pink bunny and Ross is SPUDnik (a cross between a potato and the Russian satellite), which Joey immediately confuses as "doodie."

"The One Where Rachel Has A Baby" (season 8, episodes 23 and 24)

Technically, this storyline where Rachel gives birth isn't contained to the season 8 finale, but it's pretty special how it all plays out. This two-parter eventually leads to the season 9 opener, "The One Where No One Proposes," during which Rachel says yes when she thinks someone proposed to her. It's another great cliffhanger payoff.

"The One with the Sharks" (season 9, episode 4)

“Chandler watches shark porn!” If you know, you know—and if you don't, it's all the more reason to tune into this season 9 stand-out. The drama unfolds when Chandler changes the channel to a nature show about sharks to cover up what he's really watching, leading to some pretty epic confusion.

"The One With Phoebe's Birthday Dinner" (season 9, episode 5)

Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow always had fantastic chemistry, like their characters were competing to be the most spacey, but this episode is peak Joey-Phoebe. It's a testament to how much the two actors love each other IRL. Plus, Phoebe hilariously yells about a sock.

"The One With Christmas in Tulsa" (season 9, episode 10)

If you believe in the rumors, the storyline in this episode was supposed to include Chandler cheating on Monica, but Matthew Perry didn’t want that to be a part of their love story. It also features a hilarious cameo from Selma Blair, and ultimately ends up being a cute flashback episode to some of Monica and Chandler’s best moments.

"The One Where Ross Is Fine" (season 10, episode 2)

If you've ever used the iconic Friends meme featuring Ross squeaking out an, "I'm fine!" when he is very clearly not—then you've captured the essence of this episode. That's one of the ways this storyline will live in perpetuity, thanks to the brilliance of David Schwimmer's cringe comedy here.

"The One With Ross's Tan" (season 10, episode 3)

Second only to the "Ross wears squeaky leather pants" bit, this is probably one of David Schwimmer’s very best episodes. It also features a cameo from Jennifer Coolidge that made the actors laugh so hard they struggled to get a take where all of them are straight-faced.

"The One With Phoebe's Wedding" (season 10, episode 12)

A young Paul Rudd joining the cast was an inspired choice by the showrunners. Mike and Phoebe's snowy outdoor wedding, plus their vows, and all of the antics throughout the episode are so wonderfully Phoebe and the perfect happy ending for the character.

"The Last One" (season 10, episodes 17 and 18)

The last word of the show is “Where?” spoken by the beloved Perry. For superfans, the two-part finale is tough to watch because of how much real love and sadness is reflected in the characters and actors. The classic Ross and Rachel scene where she gets off the plane even had to be filmed in secret so it wasn’t spoiled before it aired. No one had dry eyes that day. As for the final shot with a wraparound view of Monica and Rachel's empty apartment, landing on the door, it's a perfect way to close out the sitcom.

This September 22, Friends will celebrate 30 years since its premiere in 1994, and one of its six stars, Jennifer Aniston, is reminiscing on the “magic” of her early days on the show.

Speaking to People, Aniston—who played Rachel Green for the show’s 10 seasons—reflected one of the first cast photoshoots she took part in with Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer: “I think we were holding a sheet over us and I don’t know what that meant,” she said. “Oh, everything was the most exciting thing on the planet. It was just magic. Nothing was not exciting. Everything was exciting.”

The show followed the lives of six twentysomethings living in New York City’s West Village. Though set in New York City, the show was shot at the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California. “I do remember stepping onto the set and I don’t know, it was just magic,” Aniston said. “It was the best. The cast that I met, the show that I was able to be on that has touched so many people and continues to touch people—that’s probably the most important.”

Aniston shared that she learned “so many” life lessons during her early Friends days, and said she would tell her younger self “that feeling when it wasn’t about ‘making it’ but just working—maintain that,” she said, adding she’d also tell herself about “Patience, to be kind, to respect your fellow actors. And just tell the truth.”

After Perry’s shocking death last October, Friends has been top of mind for Aniston frequently as of late. She told The Wall Street Journal last year of being cast in the series “I had auditioned the day before. I really wanted it really badly. I just gave it my all and came home. I think it was that day, by 2 p.m. that same day, I got the job.”

Looking back deeper into 1994, Aniston revealed in an April 2023 interview with PopSugar that she regretted a “big splurge” she purchased with her first paycheck from Friends. She revealed that she purchased a “Mercedes that had a ‘For Sale’ sign on it,” and added “I drove it, and then drove it again. And it never drove again. It was a lemon.”

Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd are longtime friends, as evidenced by the sweet banter they have going on.

On the occasion of Rudd's 55th birthday (yup), on April 6, Aniston made sure to share her affection for her costar and pal.

Taking to Instagram Stories, the Morning Show star shared a still of the two of them in the 2012 movie Wanderlust, writing, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAUL RUDD" above the photo and "I love you, you ageless freak!" below it.

Rudd's perceived agelessness has been the subject of many a meme for years—as, at 55, he pretty much looks exactly the same as he did in, say, Clueless, which he filmed when he was 26.

On the actor's birthday, one social media user asked the hard questions: "Why are we even celebrating Paul Rudd’s birthday? Do vampires celebrate birthdays? If you don’t age…what’s the point," they wrote.

Someone else shared a clip of famous troll Ryan Reynolds also addressing said agelessness during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

"I'm happy for Paul, because he's possibly the nicest human being in the whole of show business," Reynolds said at the time. "He's aging backwards because of his contract with Satan, and/or he only drinks breast milk from a blue whale, or something—the point is he does something weird, and I want in."

As for Rudd and Aniston, they first starred together in 1998 movie The Object of My Affection, before the former joined Friends as Mike Hannigan between 2002 and 2004.

If you woke up this morning and thought “Man, I’d like to see the inside of Jennifer Aniston’s walk-in closet today!”—good news, you’re in luck. The actress let the world inside her $21 million Bel Air mansion (casual) through several photos shared on Instagram as she got ready to attend the 2024 People’s Choice Awards.

“Taking in all the love from the night @peopleschoice,” Aniston wrote. “And @adamsandler you will always be an icon in my eyes!” (Aniston honored her good friend Adam Sandler with the People’s Icon Award at the show on Sunday.)

Page Six writes that Aniston “got dressed in her enormous closet, which could easily be the size of someone’s entire apartment,” the outlet writes. The area features numerous sleek shelving units, the outlet continues, which house her collection of designer garments; there is a long, wood aisle running down the center that leads to a large dresser. 

“Complete with high ceilings and recessed lighting, the closet also has a vanity area with a cozy blue chair where the actress can get her hair and makeup done,” Page Six reports.

Aniston’s glam squad took a selfie inside the closet, which gave fans another view of Aniston’s clothes on clothes on clothes. Aniston also included a photo of her two dogs lounging near one of her storage consoles, and also shared a video where “she blew a kiss at the camera while gliding through a living area in her palatial home,” Page Six writes. “The room included floor-to-ceiling windows that looked into a modern, luxury kitchen fitted with state-of-the-art appliances and wood cabinetry. Tons of natural light is able to pour into the contemporary space, which has a mix of gorgeous dark marble and moody wood-paneled floors.” 

Aniston’s furniture choices lean towards minimalistic and contemporary pieces. This isn’t the first time Aniston has let us inside her home through the beauty of social media—in 2020, she posed on her stone and glass terrace on Instagram, where she can enjoy views of her private garden. She also shared a look at her black marble kitchen countertops and matching backsplash behind her stove while preparing a (healthy) chocolate smoothie in 2021, and she has posted the inside of her bathroom several times as she takes us through hair tutorials, “flaunting her large glass and marble shower with gold hardware as well as her spa-like stone bathtub,” Page Six reports.

While attending the 2024 SAG Awards on Saturday, February 24, actress Jennifer Aniston wore a sparkling silver Celine gown featuring a daring thigh-high slit.

The Friends actress paired the plunging, floor-length dress with matching silver, open-toed heels and minimal makeup, keeping the focus on the show-stopping gown that was slightly cinched at the waist.

Aniston was nominated for best actor in a drama series for her work on The Morning Show, in addition to having the remarkable honor of presenting the incomparable Barbara Streisand with the SAG Awards lifetime achievement award.

Aniston was also nominated, along with her The Morning Show co-stars, for outstanding ensemble performance in a drama series.

Aniston's 2024 SAG Awards outfit is something of a departure from her typically all-black award season looks.

In fact, the actress even incorporated one memorable red carpet look into her ongoing The Morning Show role.

During a scene in episode seven of season three of The Morning Show, Aniston's character wears "a one-shoulder black dress with a dramatic slit that looks like something that Aniston would actually wear,” People reported at the time.

Turns out, Aniston's character was wearing a replica of an all-black gown she wore to the 2010 Golden Globes.

In an exclusive red carpet interview with People, Aniston opened up about what an honor it was or her to attend the event and present a true Hollywood legend with the SAG lifetime achievement award.

"(Streisand) was in my house since I could remember, I just heard that voice… there’s nothing like her," she told the publication at the time. “There’s no one that compares to her and she paved the way for a lot of us women, all of us, actually."

In a statement regarding her lifetime achievement award, Streisand said that "movies were a portal to a world I could only imagine."

"Even though I was an unlikely candidate, somehow my dream came true," she said. "This award is especially meaningful to me because it comes from my fellow actors, whom I so admire."

SAG Awards style isn't quite as buttoned-up and old-Hollywood glam as the Oscars, but it's not as free-wheeling as the Grammys, either. With a "for actors, by actors" structure for nominations honoring the past year's best performances in film and TV, the show has the aura of an intimate dinner party among friends with a red carpet attached. And each year, the SAG Awards' best dressed list involves looks that capture the true essence of attendees' personal style—just dialed up a few photographer-friendly notches with fresh-off-the-runway looks.

This year's SAG Awards came with a stacked list of stylish nominees and presenters—like Margot Robbie, Ayo Edebiri, and Penélope Cruz—and the promise of an on-stage reunion between The Devil Wears Prada stars Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, and Emily Blunt. It's also the first SAG Awards since the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. Meaning? The atmosphere was especially celebratory, and the fashion was guaranteed to be good.

Did you know that everybody loves Barbra Streisand? Iconic living legend, multi-hyphenate to end all multi-hyphenates, and new recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award, given to her at the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony.

Jennifer Aniston—every celebrity's coolest friend—presented Streisand with her Lifetime Achievement Award alongside a fellow A Star Is Born-er (of a different era), Bradley Cooper. And wouldn't you know it, everyone in Hollywood is a Big Time Fan of Barbra Streisand.

Earlier, during an interview with PEOPLE, Aniston—who's really into presenting her celebrity friends with Big Time Awards of late, like her bud Adam Sandler at the People's Choice Awards last Sunday—explained her love of Streisand and why she was so thrilled to present her with the award. "There's no one that compares to her," she said. "She paved the way for a lot of us women, all of us, actually."

The singer/actor/director/writer/producer's music and films were "in my house since I could remember," Aniston added. "I just heard that voice… there’s nothing like her."

And the rest of Hollywood is in TOTAL agreement, based on the sheer joy and emotional output from so many people in the audience. The tears! The TEARS! Everyone was emoting some Big Time Feelings: Joey King was crying. Oprah was teary. Meryl was misty-eyed. Sheryl Lee Ralph had a watery eye (or two). And Anne Hathaway was straight-up sobbing as she stood and clapped.

Man, everyone sure does love this Barbra Streisand lady, don't they?

Yes, invisible hypothetical person asking the above question, everyone truly does. Because she was the first woman to make the sort of career she had—one where you can truly do it all—possible for women.

And...apparently Jennifer Aniston one time kissed her at midnight on New Year's Eve, which is the sort of mega-flex that you'd be hard-pressed to one-up.

Friends star Courtney Cox shared a sweet Instagram post in honor of her BFF Jennifer Aniston's 55th birthday, and it featured a touching tribute to the late, great Matthew Perry.

On Sunday, Feb. 11, Cox posted a throwback picture of the on- and off-screen besties, a more recent selfie and a scene from the history-making television show Friends that Cox described as "one of my favorite(s)."

"Not sure why this is one of my favorite clips… I guess it’s because nobody else in the world could make this line sound so cute," Cox captioned the post. "Happy Birthday my sweet Jenny Louise. Also don’t know why I call her that…but I sure do love you."

The clip showed Aniston's character, Rachel Greene, complaining to Perry's Character, the incomparable Chandler Bing, about Monica Geller (Cox's character) breaking a piece of her furniture.

"Hey Chandler," Aniston says to Perry in the clip. "Monica just broke my seashell lamp."

Aniston paid homage to her 55th trip around the sun in a nostalgic Instagram post of her own, sharing a montage of both recent and throwback photos and lyrics from the moving poem "The Layers" by Stanley Kunitz.

"Grateful," Aniston captured the post, along with the Kunitz's words.

"When I look behind, as I am compelled to look before I can gather strength to proceed on my journey, I see the milestones dwindling toward the horizon and the slow fires trailing from the abandoned camp-sites, over which scavenger angels wheel on heavy wings," the poem reads in part.

"Though I lack the art to decipher it, no doubt the next chapter in my book of transformations is already written," the poem concludes, "I am not done with my changes."

Cox and Aniston's beloved co-star, Perry, died suddenly in October, 2023. The actor was found unresponsive at his Los Angeles home, where he apparently drowned.

Later, the toxicology report revealed the actor died from "acute effects of ketamine," with contributing factors listed as "drowning, coronary artery disease" and the effects of "buprenorphine," a medication used to treat opioid use disorder, as CBS reported at the time.

In the wake of Perry's tragic passing, his Friends co-stars shared touching tributes, both as a group and individually.

"I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day," Cox wrote in part in a post shared to her personal Instagram account.

"Oh boy this one has cut deep... Having to say goodbye to our Matty has been an insane wave of emotions that I’ve never experienced before," Aniston wrote in her own Instagram post. "We all experience loss at some point in our lives. Loss of life or loss of love. Being able to really SIT in this grief allows you to feel the moments of joy and gratitude for having loved someone that deep. And we loved him deeply.

"He was such a part of our DNA," she continued in part. "We were always the 6 of us."

In a nostalgic post on Instagram, the Friends actress shared a video montage of some of her most heartfelt moments, including childhood photos and present-day snapshots.

The actress captioned the post with a simple word: "Grateful." She then followed it up with the lyrics from the poem "The Layers" by Stanley Kunitz.

"When I look behind, as I am compelled to look before I can gather strength to proceed on my journey, I see the milestones dwindling toward the horizon and the slow fires trailing from the abandoned camp-sites, over which scavenger angels wheel on heavy wings," the poem reads in part.

"Though I lack the art to decipher it, no doubt the next chapter in my book of transformations is already written," the poem concludes, "I am not done with my changes."

The video is soundtracked with a popular recording of "The Thing About Birthdays" from TikTok creator eviewhy, who can be heard paraphrasing the short story “Eleven” by Sandra Cisneros.

Many of Aniston's famous friends sent her celebratory well wishes and hopes for another fabulous year around the sun in the comment section.

"Awe babes ❤ beautiful," Kate Hudson wrote. "Happy Birthday."

"Happy birthday!" Vanessa Bryant commented.

"Happy happy birthday! What a beautiful video," Florence Pugh wrote. Have a lovely day x."

In a 2023 interview with Vogue, Aniston opened up about getting older and why the common phrase "you look great for your age" is something she simply cannot stand.

"That’s a habit of society that we have these markers like, ‘Well, you’re at that stage, so for your age…' I don’t even understand what it means," the star told the outlet at the time. “I’m in better shape than I was in my 20s. I feel better in mind, body, and spirit. It’s all 100% better.”

Aniston went on to say that she plans on having her “better” years last as long as possible.

“My family lives a long time, especially my dad’s side—I want to be thriving; I don’t want to just be alive."

Fans of the history-making television show Friends can't forget the sizzling on-screen chemistry between Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer—but Jennifer Aniston apparently can.

The on-screen couple have reunited for a truly hilarious Uber Eats Super Bowl Commercial, in which Aniston forgets who her on-again, off-again television boyfriend is.

After Aniston orders from Uber Eats and tells the delivery person that in order to remember something, she has to forget something else to "make a little room" in the ole brain, she runs into her former co-star.

As Schwimmer goes in for a friendly hug, Aniston pushes him away before asking: "Have we met?" much to Schwimmer's dismay.

Aniston then asks for "a hint," so Schwimmer tells her that they "worked together for 10 years" which is, of course, how long Friends was on air.

"Ten years! You were great," Aniston responds.

"You still don't know, do you?" Schwimmer says, already disappointed and probably wishing the real-life pals were on a break.

"I don't," Aniston admits, before walking away and telling herself: "Like I would forget 10 years of my life."

"I hate this town," the disgruntled Schwimmer says. Poor Ross.

Aniston and Schwimmer famously played Rachel Greene and Ross Geller on Friends, who kept fans guessing for a decade as to whether or not the pair would end up together and happily ever after.

In real life, the on-screen couple had something of an off-screen romance. In the highly anticipated cast reunion in 2021, the pair admitted that they both had massive crushes on each other while filming the show.

"It was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship, and we never crossed that boundary, you know, we respected that," Schwimmer said at the time.

"Honestly, I remember saying one time to David, 'It's gonna be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is going to be on national television,'" Aniston added.

The Friends couple aren't the only Hollywood A-listers to appear in Uber Eats' 2024 Super Bowl commercial.

Rapper and singer Jelly Roll also makes a hilarious cameo, seemingly forgetting that he sports multiple facial tattoos.

“Did someone doodle on my face?” he says while looking in a bathroom mirror. “It’s not coming off!”

No matter what you may have to end up forgetting in order to remember something else, don't let it ever slip your mind that Ross and Rachel were 100% on a break.

Margot Robbie, Jennifer Aniston, and Billie Eilish all have a LOT to say about *that* Barbie monologue delivered by the inimitable America Ferrera.

At Sunday's Critics' Choice Awards, Access Hollywood set out to make a bunch of different celebs perform a read of some of the speech as well as comment on its powerful meaning, and boy did these A-listers deliver.

Billie Eilish read the line, "You're supposed to stay pretty for men, but not so pretty that you tempt them too much, or that you threaten other women, because you're supposed to be part of the sisterhood."

The singer immediately added, "F***in' true. That monologue... it's so upsetting. Any time I hear any of it, I'm like, 'Nooo, I don't wanna hear this right now! I'm tryna enjoy my day, I don't need America telling me the truth of life and being a woman.' But I do, though. We all do."

Eilish was nominated at the awards show for her song "What Was I Made For" from the Barbie soundtrack, but lost out to "I'm Just Ken" from the same movie.

Meanwhile, Margot Robbie, the star of the Barbie movie, revealed that her favorite part of the whole Barbie craze was seeing the reception this speech received.

"Watching people's reactions to Gloria's monologue, the speech that America does, has been one of the funnest parts," Robbie said. "From the very first cut of the movie, that's what made people really stand up and vocalize their appreciation. It was like, everyone was like, 'Oh, she's finally articulating the thing we've always thought, and she's saying it for us, and it's amazing.'"

Last but not least, Jennifer Aniston, who was not involved in the Barbie movie, gave us an incredible dramatic interpretation of part of the speech, reading, "I'm so tired of watching myself and every other woman tie herself into knots so that people will like us."

She added, as herself, "Gosh darn it." Yeah, pretty much sums it up.

At tonight's 81st annual Golden Globes, a number of stars showed out with stunning beauty looks, including stylish hair bows, subdued peach-colored makeup, and bright red hair. While everyone else seemed to be focused on the new and trendy, though, Jennifer Aniston brought back an old, tried-and-true look close to the hearts of many Friends fans worldwide: The popular Rachel haircut.

The Rachel was a layered lob (AKA long bob) that Jennifer Aniston wore during her time playing Rachel Green on Friends—particularly during the show's early seasons. Although Aniston has referred to the haircut as "not my best look" and even called her hairstylist at the time "the bane of [her] existence" for creating it, the style quickly became a global phenomenon, with women everywhere asking their hair stylists to cut and blow out their hair to look exactly like Aniston's choppy, feathery style.

And now, in perhaps the most unexpected beauty news of the night, considering Aniston's open resentment of the look, the notorious Rachel seems to be back. Aniston walked the red carpet with an updated version of the famously layered look at the Golden Globes, eschewing the longer, straighter look she's adopted in her post-Friends years. Even the color is similar to that which she wore at the time, down to the golden highlights and light brown lowlights.

Considering the hold that this style had on the public during the 1990s, it's tempting to predict (or even hope) that this hairstyle will be taking over the mid 2020s. The prediction isn't too far off considering other hair trends that have dominated the early years of the decade, from the mullet to the lob to the bob, all of which may culminate in a choppy cut like the Rachel, which seems to bring these styles together.

The Morning Show costars Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon coordinated in black looks for the series’ Tastemaker cocktail party in L.A., with Aniston opting for a black jumpsuit with a festive (yet subtle) bow detail, high-waisted straight leg black pants, black strappy heels, and a black shoulder bag with a gold chain strap. She accessorized with gold bangles and, highlighting her strapless neckline, a minimalist necklace.

For her part, Witherspoon wore a black sweater with crystal detailing on the collar, a black tweed miniskirt, and black strappy pumps. For the event, Aniston and Witherspoon were joined by a slew of their fellow The Morning Show castmates, including Jon Hamm, Karen Pittman, Tig Notaro, and Nestor Carbonell.

Aniston and Witherspoon’s working relationship didn’t begin with The Morning Show—they worked together as far back as Aniston’s days on Friends playing Rachel Green. Witherspoon joined the show and played Rachel’s younger (and spoiled) sister, Jill Green. “She was so sweet to me,” Witherspoon said of Aniston in a 2019 Harper’s Bazaar interview. “I was really nervous, and she was like, ‘Oh my gosh—don’t worry about it!’ I marveled at her ability to perform in front of a live audience like that with no nerves. They would change all the lines and she was just so effortlessly affable, bubbly, and sunny. We’ve been friends ever since.”

Witherspoon will get to continue working alongside Aniston for the series’ fourth season, which was announced earlier this year. During a special screening and Q&A session for The Morning Show that same day, Aniston discussed the show’s upcoming season and what viewers can expect, per The Daily Mail: “It’s watching this big move that Alex made at the end of season three and how’s that working out for you?” Aniston said. “That position and that huge merge happening, and to see how gracefully that she walks through that.”

Witherspoon added that she is excited to see the merger play out in season four, as well as how real-life events will affect the series: “The thing I like about our show is that they pivot based on what they see happening in the world,” Witherspoon said. “So there is already so much to address in the time span when we start again. But there will be so much more. I mean, it’s an ever-evolving media landscape.”

The two spoke of their ongoing personal and professional relationship in a joint interview with Variety, where Aniston said “We’ve been in each other’s lives for 20-something years. It’s just in our DNA that we are collaborators. We’re partners. We’re friends. We’re girlfriends, we share all sorts of heartbreaks in life and love and everything.”

Witherspoon added, “There’s a comfort to that. It’s just mutual respect and years of experience. And I think we’re both incredulous that we’re both still kicking around! That we’re still working at this level is such a privilege. It’s an honor to get to contribute to something that’s really speaking about the world we live in nowadays.”

Jennifer Aniston is sharing the love for Matthew Perry a month after his tragic passing.

On Nov. 28, the Morning Show star asked fans to donate to Perry's newly established foundation via Instagram Stories, writing, "For #GivingTuesday please join me and Matty's family in supporting his foundation - which is working to help those suffering with addiction"

She added, "He would have been grateful for the love," and shared a quote of Perry's that read, "Addiction is far too powerful for anyone to defeat alone. But together, one day at a time, we can beat it down."

After Perry's passing, Aniston shared a heartbreaking message about what her Friends costar meant to her.

"Oh boy this one has cut deep...," she wrote on Instagram.

"Having to say goodbye to our Matty has been an insane wave of emotions that I’ve never experienced before."

She continued, "He was such a part of our DNA. We were always the 6 of us. This was a chosen family that forever changed the course of who we were and what our path was going to be."

Aniston concluded, "Matty, I love you so much and I know you are now completely at peace and out of any pain. I talk to you every day… sometimes I can almost hear you saying 'could you BE any crazier?'

"Rest little brother.

"You always made my day…"

In 2022, Perry told Diane Sawyer that Aniston was always incredibly supportive towards him.

"She was the one that reached out the most," he said. "You know, I'm really grateful to her for that."

All of Matthew Perry’s five Friends castmates have spoken out about his death just over two weeks after Perry was found dead at his L.A. home at just 54 years old.

Matt LeBlanc, who played Joey Tribbiani to Perry’s Chandler Bing, wrote on Instagram “Matthew. It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life. It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I’ll never forget you. Never. Spread your wings and fly brother you’re finally free. Much love. And I guess you’re keeping the 20 bucks you owe me.” 

Joey, LeBlanc’s character, and Chandler were best friends on the show and even roommates for a time. Chandler married Courteney Cox’s character, Monica Geller, and Cox herself released a statement to Instagram not long after LeBlanc did so.

“I am grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day,” she wrote. “When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now here’s one of my favorites. To give a little backstory, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one night fling in London. But because of the audience’s reaction, it became the beginning of their love story.” Adding a photo from 2001, she continued, “In this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say. He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind.”

The next day, fellow castmates Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer released heartfelt tributes of their own: "Oh boy this one has cut deep," Aniston wrote on Instagram. "Having to say goodbye to our Matty has been an intense wave of emotions that I've never experienced before. We all experience loss at some point in our lives. Loss of life or loss of love. Being able to really SIT in this grief allows you to feel the moments of joy and gratitude for having loved someone that deep. And we loved him deeply. He was such a part of our DNA. We were always the 6 of us. This was a chosen family that forever changed the course of who we were and what our path was going to be."

Aniston continued that Perry knew how to make people laugh, and loved to do it: "As he said himself, if he didn't hear the 'laugh' he thought he was going to die," she wrote. "His life literally depended on it. And boy did he succeed in doing just that. He made all of us laugh. And laugh hard. In the last couple weeks, I've been pouring over our texts to one another. Laughing and crying then laughing again. I'll keep them forever and ever." 

She concluded her post "Matty, I love you so much and I know you are now completely at peace and out of any pain. I talk to you every day...sometimes I can almost hear you saying 'could you BE any crazier?' Rest little brother. You always made my day."

In his own Instagram tribute, Schwimmer thanked Perry for 10 "incredible years of laughter and creativity," alluding to the decade-long run of Friends. "I will never forget your impeccable comic timing and delivery," he wrote. "You could take a straight line of dialogue and bend it to your will, resulting in something so entirely original and unexpectedly funny it still astonishes. And you had heart. Which you were generous with, and shared with us, so we could create a family out of six strangers."

Schwimmer concluded that he was smiling and grieving at the same time: "I imagine you up there, somewhere, in the same white suit, hands in your pockets, looking around—Could there BE any more clouds?"

Later today, Lisa Kudrow shared her own thoughts on Instagram: "Shot the pilot, Friends Like Us, got picked up then immediately, we were at the NBC Upfronts," she wrote. "Then...You suggested we play poker AND made it so much fun while we initially bonded. Thank you for that. Thank you for making me laugh so hard at something you said, that my muscles ached, and tears poured down my face EVERY DAY. Thank you for your open heart in a six way relationship that required compromise. And a lot of talking."

Alluding to Perry's struggles with addiction, she added, "Thank you for showing up at work when you weren't well and then, being completely brilliant. Thank you for the best 10 years a person gets to have. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for all I learned about GRACE and LOVE through knowing you. Thank you for the time I got to have with you, Matthew."

Though the cast released individual statements, the five collectively—LeBlanc, Cox, Aniston, Schwimmer, and Lisa Kudrow—released a statement shortly after his death on October 28: “We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew,” it read. “We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss. In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”

In addition to the joint statement, all five of Perry’s castmates attended his funeral on November 3 in L.A.

Anyone who has grieved knows that life will never go back to “normal” after losing someone you love—that, from now on, it will only ever be the “new normal.” Grief is a process, and it’s often permanent; this goes for family, friends, pets, anyone who is loved. Jennifer Aniston is, per Page Six, deeply grieving her friend Matthew Perry, who died at age 54 on October 28. The outlet reports that she is “struggling” after his unexpected death, and that the loss has “completely knocked her off her feet.”

Of his five Friends costars—all of whom Perry was close to—he has said Aniston was the most there for him during his 25-year battle with addiction. Perry’s five costars—Aniston, as well as Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer—were all there to lay Perry to rest at his funeral last Friday, held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in L.A., just minutes away from the Warner Bros. studio where they filmed Friends for 10 years. Page Six spoke to a source who said that “Out of the remaining five, Jen and Courteney are reeling the most, and Jen is probably the one who is struggling most acutely.”

One year ago, in November 2022, Aniston mourned the death of her father, John Aniston (of Days of Our Lives fame), who died at age 89. At the time of his passing, she called her father “one of the most beautiful humans I ever knew.”

Perry’s death is “a second massive loss in less than a year, with the one-year anniversary of her dad’s death just around the corner,” they said. “She still hasn’t fully regained her footing from that, and now this has just completely knocked her off her feet. She is trying to regroup and recover but it’s been a completely devastating blow.”

Aniston previously broke down in tears in a 2004 interview at the prospect of losing Perry, and of their friendship, “She was the one that reached out the most,” Perry said in an October 2022 interview with Diane Sawyer. “You know, I’m really grateful to her for that.” Perry also said that it was Aniston who initially confronted him on the Friends set when his addiction became evident to his costars.

Of her father’s death, Aniston opened up to The Wall Street Journal, revealing that “I feel closer to him now than I did almost when he was alive,” she said. “I feel like he’s everywhere. I really do.”

"We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss," they wrote.

"In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world."

These thoughts echo comments previously made about the five "Friends" by an industry insider. "The cast is reeling from the loss of their brother, because that’s what Matty was—their brother," they said. "It’s just devastating."

Other members of the Friends cast and crew also shared their sadness over Perry's passing.

Maggie Wheeler, who played Janice, wrote, "What a loss. The world will miss you Matthew Perry. The joy you brought to so many in your too short lifetime will live on. I feel so very blessed by every creative moment we shared."

Sarah Ferguson, who once made a cameo on Friends, wrote, "I remember being thrilled to have met a natural talent, comedian and brilliant actor. It is a tragedy to lose you so early in life, rest in peace dear Matthew … you have given so much joy and laughter to so many."

Morgan Fairchild, who played Perry's character Chandler's mom on the show, wrote, "I’m heartbroken about the untimely death of my ‘son,’ Matthew Perry. The loss of such a brilliant young actor is a shock. I’m sending love & condolences to his friends & family, especially his dad, John Bennett Perry, who I worked with on Flamingo Road & Falcon Crest. #RIPMatthew."

Next year will mark 30 years since the six cast members of Friends met, and the five who remain following Matthew Perry’s death over the weekend are “reeling” from the loss of their beloved “brother,” Page Six reports.

The outlet reports that Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer are preparing to release a joint statement after Perry was found dead Saturday at his L.A. home, the result of an apparent drowning.

“The cast is reeling from the loss of their brother, because that’s what Matty was—their brother,” an industry source told the outlet. “It’s just devastating.”

The hit series ran for 10 seasons, from 1994 to 2004, and launched lifelong friendships, in addition to catapulting all six cast members into stardom. Perry, who was open about his struggles with drug and alcohol addiction, was especially close to Aniston after filming wrapped nearly 20 years ago.

“She was the one that reached out the most,” Perry told Diane Sawyer last year. “You know, I’m really grateful to her for that.” Perry also revealed in his 2022 memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing that it was Aniston who initially confronted him when his substance abuse became evident. 

“The entire cast are close,” they said. “They will be devastated, because they were together through the best of times and worst of times. And when Matty was sick, they protected him. They looked after him fiercely.”

Over the weekend, Perry’s family spoke out about the devastating loss, saying in a statement “We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of our beloved son and brother. Matthew brought so much joy to the world, both as an actor and a friend. You all meant so much to him and we appreciate the tremendous outpouring of love.”

Best known and beloved for his iconic role as Chandler Bing on the classic sitcom Friends, Perry is being mourned by costars and creators of the show alike, with the official Instagram account for the show writing, "We are devastated to learn of Matthew Perry’s passing. He was a true gift to us all. Our heart goes out to his family, loved ones, and all of his fans."

Though the other five "Friends" refrained from posting personal tributes to the actor, it's clear that they will be privately devastated by the awful news of his passing.

While Perry apparently didn't stay too closely in touch with Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer, he once told Diane Sawyer that Aniston made sure to check in on him after the show ended—knowing that Perry was dealing with a decades-long battle with addiction.

"She was the one that reached out the most," the actor told Sawyer in 2022 (via People). "You know, I'm really grateful to her for that."

Perry detailed his struggle with both prescription and non-prescription drugs as well as alcohol in his 2022 memoir Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing.

Back in 2021, Perry beautifully explained the lasting bond he and his costars developed during the Friends reunion special.

"The best way that I can describe it is after the show was over, at a party or any kind of social gathering, if one of us bumped into each other, that was it. That was the end of the night. You just sat with the person all night long and that was it," he said (via People).

"You apologized to the people you were with, but they had to understand you had met somebody special to you and you were going to talk to that person for the rest of the night. And that’s the way it worked."

No, you’re not imagining it—if Jennifer Aniston’s gown on The Morning Show looks familiar, it’s by design. The dress, which Aniston’s character Alex Levy wears to the Valentino party in season three of the show, is a replica of the gown Aniston herself wore to the 2010 Golden Globes.

In episode seven of season three of The Morning Show, Alex finds herself at a party put on by Valentino and creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli himself. “Alex makes a grand entrance wearing a one-shoulder black dress with a dramatic slit that looks like something that Aniston would actually wear,” People reports. “And if you did a double take upon watching the scene, asking yourself if the dress is familiar, that’s because it is.”

“It’s interesting—I had brought several dresses in, and while we were having the fitting, [Aniston] was like, ‘You know what I want to wear? I want to wear the dress that I wore to the Golden Globes, I think it was in 2010, that Valentino designed for me. I want that dress,’” Debra Maguire, one of The Morning Show’s costume designers, told People. “So we went to Pierpaolo to see if that was possible, if they would make that for her. And they did. That’s really what she wanted to wear. It’s very Jen. It’s very Alex. It’s very everything. It’s very Valentino.”

The dress in the scene “is an exact replica of the one Aniston wore on the red carpet at the award show 13 years ago—down to the train that trailed in her wake as she walked by,” People writes. 

Many at the party were outfitted in pink, channeling Valentino’s PP Pink Collection, said another of the show’s costume designers, Sophie De Rakoff. “When we were approaching the Valentino gala, it was right from the very beginning that we wanted it visually to have a really, really cohesive look,” she said. “That was the perfect intersection of what Valentino was doing at that moment and what we needed for the show because they were just coming off the back of the PP Pink Collection.”

This decision not only made the party feel very current, but it made Aniston as Alex—in her black gown—stand out. That was the costume designers’ intention in the “beautiful scene,” People reports. 

Maguire, speaking to Harper’s Bazaar last month, said of her and Aniston’s professional relationship “There’s just this flow to it that doesn’t exist with other actors,” she said. “Jennifer is quite exceptional in that she knows exactly what works. I trust her instincts in a way that I [don’t] with any other actor. Just look at her personal decisions she’s made in terms of red carpet looks—she’s never had a mistake.”

And though the 2010 Golden Globes certainly wasn’t the first time Aniston had donned Valentino on the red carpet (nor would it be the last), it is her favorite, she said. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal in August, Aniston was asked which red carpet look she wishes she could rewear. Her response? “Valentino 2010, Golden Globes. I loved it.” 

Jennifer Aniston, on-screen darling since she became Rachel on Friends, has the kind of career and style evolution that everyone envies. While technically not a red carpet, this event's notable for Aniston reuniting with some of her Friends costars. The five were there to pay tribute to James Burrows, who directed the series. It's hard to see the bottom of her outfit, but her satin lavender top feels perfectly right for "fancy event dinner."

Very, very occasionally, Aniston will go for a patterned dress, and when she does she absolutely nails it. This Roberto Cavalli is still very much in keeping with her aesthetic (bodycon but classic) but still gives some nice visual contrast with the floral pattern.

Once again Atelier Versace, this low-cut and also thigh-high split dress is both daring for Aniston and exactly in her wheelhouse. This also marks one of the last red carpet appearances for Aniston and Theroux, who amicably parted ways in 2018.

Never, ever count Aniston out for her red carpet appearances: At Murder Mystery 2's premiere, she wore this (Atelier Versace!) silver chain dress that is absolutely stunning. As per ushe, Aniston follows a familiar formula: Find a classic silhouette that she knows works, then do something a little different than what she's done in the past. It's worked for her for decades!

Of the main six characters on the massively hit show Friends, the highest earner is likely not who you’d think it would be. You might think that it would be paleontologist Ross Geller (played by David Schwimmer), or his sister, chef Monica Geller (played by Courteney Cox); it could even be Chandler Bing (played by Matthew Perry), who was an IT procurement manager. If you guessed any of those three, you’d be wrong—the highest-earning character (not the actual actors themselves, mind you) was Joey Tribbiani, played by Matt LeBlanc.

Bustle reports that on-and-off soap opera star Tribbiani earned the most inside the Friends stratosphere after he landed a gig in a feature film, which saw his annual earnings skyrocket to $130,000. “In between acting gigs, however, Joey seemed to lack any part-time jobs to make ends meet,” the outlet reports.

His roommate for part of the series, Chandler Bing, saw his earnings rise from $50,000 to $100,000 annually (keep in mind, the 10 seasons of the show ran from 1994 to 2004). “However, when Chandler swapped careers to become an advertising copywriter in season nine, the character’s earnings are estimated to have dipped significantly,” Bustle reports.

By the end of the series, Chandler married Monica Geller, who was head chef at Javu and earned an estimated salary of $80,000. “However, it’s rare that fans ever saw Monica at the restaurant (or any previous waitressing gigs she had), where long hours would be part of the job,” the outlet reports. Her brother, Ross, took home $75,000 as a paleontologist, but after going on sabbatical for a couple of seasons, he returned to work making a slightly lower salary.

Ross’ love interest Rachel Green (played by Jennifer Aniston) took home a maximum of $55,000 after originally working as a buyer and a personal shopper at Bloomingdales, and Phoebe Buffay (played by Lisa Kudrow) is thought to be the lowest earner of the six friends; she “tried her hand at a number of different careers, including as a masseuse and busker,” the outlet reports.

The Friends character’s salaries are, after all, just estimations, “and when taking into account the real-world cost of living, especially in one of the most expensive cities in the world [New York City], the economics of Friends should probably be taken with a grain of salt,” Bustle reports. Case in point? Though Monica netted about $80,000 annually, her iconic Greenwich Village apartment—which is where so many scenes of the show were shot—would have cost an estimated $4 million as of 2018; the deposit alone would have set her back $400,000.

We’ve been talking all week about celebrities going pantsless (case in point: Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber, both in town for Paris Fashion Week), but Jennifer Aniston is going topless on the cover of CR Fashion Book, somehow turning a bra top into businesswear.

The actress was one of the magazine’s latest cover stars, celebrating its 10-year anniversary. Clad in everything from an oversize Versace suit to a Bottega Veneta suit to a cropped shirt, pants, and a tie (all Valentino) worn loosely over a Fleur du Mal bra, Aniston was personally styled by editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld for the black-and-white spread. (Other cover stars include Post Malone and a polarizing Kim Kardashian.)

“@carineroitfeld this was a dream come true to work with you,” Aniston wrote on Instagram. “And the incredible @zoeygrossman [the shoot’s photographer]. The ridiculously talented hair and makeup team…@mrchrismcmillan and @georgieeisdell.” 

In the issue, Aniston opens up about her (legendary) hair, including her new haircare line, LolaVie, which she said has been “decades” in the making. “All of the products I’ve used over my lifetime—at home or work—were all part of the R&D for LolaVie,” she said. She continued, “From the start, the team at LolaVie shared my commitment to developing a haircare line that is effective using only the best ingredients possible. We work tirelessly on the development of each of our products until we get it to a place where we all feel satisfied. We don’t launch until it’s right.”

Though she is a hair icon herself, who are Aniston’s? “I mean, did I love Valerie Bertinello on the cover of Us magazine when she was wearing a red angora sweater and took that into the hair salon in the ‘80s? Mayyyyybe,” Aniston said. She added, “I just love beautiful hair.” As to whether she has ever gotten a haircut or a hairstyle she regrets, she said, “Where do I start…haven’t we all?” (The haircut below is surely one she didn't regret.)

When she’s not working on acting projects, LolaVie, or other brand partnerships (like Pvolve—stay tuned for that), Aniston said she spends a perfect Saturday and Sunday “with friends,” she said. “I am fortunate to have the best.”

As to how she nurtures her health, “I drink lots of water, move my body daily, try to eat whole, fresh foods, and get as much sleep as I can,” Aniston said. “That last part is so challenging for me, but it’s so important. I feel it when I don’t get enough rest.” She continued, “In addition to all of that, I try to be really mindful about what I let into my headspace. Our world is really going through some challenges, and I know we all care a lot, but sometimes I think it’s imperative that we turn off the noise.”

Aniston has recently partnered with Pvolve, and since then, she said she has been “motivated to work out in a way I haven’t been in years”: “I don’t think I’ve had the same class twice,” she said.

Though she couldn’t discuss any upcoming acting projects because of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strikes, Aniston said she hoped there would be “a fair resolution” to it “sooner than later,” adding “There are so many crew members who are a part of our creative process who aren’t in either of those unions [SAG-AFTRA or WGA], who did not ask to be on strike, and many are struggling financially. We just want everyone to get back to work as soon as possible.”

But will we go back to work in a bra and tie, a la Aniston? Mayyyyybe, mayyyyybe not.

Friends director James Burrows is spilling behind-the-scenes secrets about the hit show! According to his new memoir, Directed By James Burrows, the director hinted that the show almost recast Helen Baxendale, who played Ross Geller's (David Schwimmer) short-lived wife, Emily, because she wasn't as funny as Ross's other love-interest: Rachel (Jennifer Aniston).

“She was nice, but not particularly funny,” Burrows wrote of Baxendale in his memoir. At the time, he was worried about how her lack of humor could affect the acting. "Schwimmer had no one to bounce off. It was like clapping with one hand."

He continued, "In sitcoms and any type of romantic comedy, the funny is just as important as the chemistry. We discovered that any new girlfriend for Ross needed to be as funny as Rachel.”

But, due to the show's "tight" deadlines, they decided to keep Baxendale as Emily. "Often, you can’t recast, because of tight shooting deadlines or other logistical considerations," he explained. "You need someone who gets laughs. Sometimes you start an arc, and it ain’t working out, so you have to get rid of that person. If it’s a day player, it’s a quick goodbye."

Burrows also noted, "If there’s chemistry, the writers go to work to figure out some way of keeping the actor.”

Jennifer Aniston seems like a great interview subject. She's always warm, she doesn't shy away from probing questions, and she's open about the effects of fame on her life and relationships. Just last year, she opened up to Allure about the dissolution of her marriage to Justin Theroux, from whom she divorced in 2018. She also got candid about their previous struggles with fertility, noting, "It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road." Aniston also lamented the way media speculation about her desire for a family put pressure on her. It was a refreshing display of honesty about heartbreak, and led to an outpouring of support for Aniston—including from fans who called on tabloids to apologize to her.

Now, in a new interview with the Wall Street Journal, Aniston reveals more about how that fertility journey has impacted her, and how she gets a really sweet show of support every year from her longtime pal and frequent costar, Adam Sandler. 

In the interview, as reported by Buzzfeed, Aniston says that Sandler and his wife, Jackie, send her flowers every year on Mother's Day to show their support and love for her. 

Aniston and Sandler have been friends for several decades, after meeting in the famed Los Angeles joint Jerry's Famous Deli when they were both in their early 20s. They've co-starred in three films together, most recently Murder Mystery 2 earlier this year. "He really takes care of me," Aniston has said of her longtime buddy. "When he loves you, he loved you deeply and cares for you deeply." 

For better or worse, we are all products of the environments we were raised in, and Jennifer Aniston is opening up to WSJ. Magazine about how her parents’ failed marriage still affects her own relationships: “It was always a little bit difficult for me in relationships, I think, because I really was kind of alone,” she said in a cover story for the outlet’s Fall Women’s Fashion Issue. “My parents, watching my family’s relationship, didn’t make me kind of go, ‘Oh, I can’t wait to do that.’” Aniston’s parents Nancy Dow and John Aniston—both of whom have passed away—divorced when she was young.

Ahead of The Morning Show’s new season dropping next month, Aniston got candid, telling the publication “I didn’t like the idea of sacrificing who you were or what you needed, so I didn’t really know how to do that,” she said. “So it was almost easier to just be kind of solo. So I didn’t have any real training in that give-and-take.” 

Aniston told WSJ. Magazine that right now, she’s focused on her needs and desires (love this)—not sacrificing anything in order to please someone else. “It’s just about not being afraid to say what you need and what you want,” she said. “And it’s still a challenge for me in a relationship. I’m really good at every other job I have, and that’s sort of the one area that’s a little…”

Aniston has been open in interviews, especially as of late, about how her life—beautiful as it may be—didn’t always go as planned. She previously described her home life as a child as “destabilized and felt unsafe,” and once told friend Sandra Bullock for Interview Magazine that this environment helped her learn to stay afloat when challenges arose. “I guess I have my parents to thank,” Aniston said. “You can either be angry or be a martyr, or you can say, ‘You’ve got lemons? Let’s make lemonade.’” 

Aniston has been married twice (though we probably didn’t need to tell you that, as both were dissected by the media)—to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005, and to Justin Theroux from 2015 to 2018. She has also had high-profile relationships with Vince Vaughn and John Mayer after her divorce from Pitt. “My marriages, they’ve been very successful, in [my] personal opinion,” she told Elle. “And when they came to an end, it was a choice that was made because we chose to be happy, and sometimes happiness doesn’t exist within that arrangement anymore. Sure, there were bumps, and not every moment felt fantastic, obviously, but at the end of it, this is our one life, and I would not stay in a situation out of fear. Fear of being alone. Fear of not being able to survive. To stay in a marriage based on fear feels like you’re doing your one life a disservice.”

A source close to Aniston told People not long after her relationship with Theroux ended that “she is very happy being single. She is focused on her own happiness.” In 2021, Aniston told People that, when she falls in love again (and despite mostly dating actors or men in show business), “what I’m sort of hoping for is not necessarily somebody in the industry itself. That’d be nice.”

One of the most talked about weddings of the aughts decade was Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston’s 2000 wedding—if you would have told anyone then that the golden couple would be divorced before the decade was over, very few would have believed you. Michael Rapaport was a guest at the nuptials and opened up about the experience on last night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, where he revealed that the pair had a “wall of caviar” at the event.

“I was at Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston’s wedding,” the actor said. “They had a wall of caviar. I still have some saved over.” He also called the wedding “beautiful,” and said the caviar wall was “generous” of the couple to give to their guests, per Page Six.

“How have you been on the show 87 times, and I’ve never talked to you about Aniston and Pitt’s wedding?” a stunned Cohen replied. Rapaport joked that Pitt and Aniston have “dropped it now,” though he’s “still eating the caviar” from their big day. “I was shoving it down!” he said.

Adding more details about the $1 million wedding, Rapaport said “Billy Preston performed—lot of bucks there,” before moving the conversation along.

Rapaport and Pitt first worked together as actors in 1993’s True Romance. Rapaport also guest starred on Aniston’s beloved Friends for a few episodes back in 1999. 

Of Pitt and Aniston’s wedding, in addition to an apparent wall of caviar, the couple married on July 29, 2000, in Malibu at a private estate filled with 50,000 roses, tulips, and other flowers in front of 200 guests, including Rapaport. Other A-list attendees included Aniston’s Friends costars Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox (and her then-husband David Arquette), and Lisa Kudrow; Pitt’s Fight Club costar Edward Norton and his then-girlfriend Salma Hayek; David Spade; Dermot Mulroney; and Cameron Diaz. Several bands and choirs performed—and Melissa Etheridge sang “Whole Lotta Love”—and there was a fireworks display.

“Unfortunately, the marriage didn’t last as long as Rapaport’s caviar, as Aniston and Pitt broke up five years later,” Page Six reports. Pitt went on to marry Mr. and Mrs. Smith costar Angelina Jolie, and Aniston married actor Justin Theroux; both of those subsequent marriages ended in divorce, as well.
