Garner has been a loyal Brooks shopper since 2020, right alongside Natalie Portman and Reese Witherspoon. Last weekend's sneakers might be Garner's most minimalist—the actor's closet also contains Brooks trainers in neon orange, violet, cobalt blue, and various multi-color combinations. She typically reserves them for jeans or leggings outfits, which she curates without a stylist. Last fall, she even dressed up black Brooks sneakers with a striped, coastal-chic sweater.

If Garner's looking to expand her sneaker styling repertoire even more, she should take cues from Kendall Jenner and Bieber. The actress underwent a major hair transformation this week, trading in her signature all-over brunette hair color for a lighter look featuring early 2000s-esque, chunky blonde highlights.

Garner's newer, lighter color has been dubbed “Champagne Ribbon Brunette” by colorist and Schwarzkopf Professional's US creative director of color and technique, Tracey Cunningham. According to an Instagram post from Cunningham herself, she lightened up the actress's hair color for her upcoming role in The Five-Star Weekend, a Peacock series based on a novel of the same name. She stated in the video that she used Schwarzkopf's BLONDME Lightener with 30 volume to create blonde highlights throughout Garner's hair before using the Igora Vibrance Gloss to tone.

Even though their marriage is over, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's families are still intertwined. At the premiere of his new movie The Accountant 2, Affleck talked about his relationship with his ex-wife's children and her relationship with his kids. And the actor is thrilled about how those connections are continuing on. In fact, Lopez's kids were at the premiere, too.

"Kids are here, Jen’s kids are here. I'm very, very excited," Affleck told Entertainment Tonight. "I love when all the kids come out. It’s really fun, it’s exciting."

Affleck has three children with his first ex-wife Jennifer Garner: 19-year-old Violet, 16-year-old Fin, and 13-year-old Samuel. Lopez has two kids, 17-year-old twins Max and Emme, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.

Of course, Lopez and Affleck's past extends far back, to before their children were even born. The actors were first engaged in the early 2000s. After they broke up, they both entered lengthy marriages, Lopez with Anthony and Affleck with Garner. Lopez and Affleck got back together in 2021, got married in 2022, and then split up in 2024. Their divorced was finalized earlier this year.

In the interview with Entertainment Tonight, Affleck recognized that there is speculation in the media about where he and Lopez stand, but he wanted to set the record straight that they're still in each others' children's lives and that he still has a lot of admiration for her.

"Jennifer Lopez is spectacular, great to my kids, great ongoing relationship with them," the 52-year-old star said. "I love her kids. They are wonderful. She is enormously important, tremendous person of a lot of integrity, who I adore and am grateful to."

He added that he was "thrilled" that the kids were at the premiere, calling them "a joy in my life." He continued, "Those kids are amazing, and I’m glad that this is a movie they want to come to."

Similar to Affleck's account, a source told People in November 2024 that Lopez was in touch with her ex's children.

"Jennifer keeps in touch with the Affleck kids. Her whole family loves them," the source said. "She wants them to know that they can always reach out if they need anything at all."

Affleck opened up about his divorce from Lopez for the first time in a March interview with GQ. He made it clear that while people have questions about their split, there isn't some juicy gossip that they're hiding.

"[T]here’s no scandal, no soap opera, no intrigue," he said. "It’s just a story about people trying to figure out their lives and relationships in ways that we all sort of normally do. It’s really, it sounds more like a couple’s therapy session, which—you would tune out of someone else’s couple’s therapy after a while."

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez got back together—and got married and then divorced—about 20 years after they were first together. So, it is possible that a rekindling is also possible for the other Bennifer? The rumor mill is definitely churning, particularly after Affleck and his ex-wife Jennifer Garner were photographed together at a paintball birthday party for their son, Samuel, who recently turned 13.

On March 4, TMZ published a video from the outing in which Affleck hugs Garner around the waist while they're in their paintball gear. In a photo from the party, they're seen laughing together. Alas, this is enough to get people talking!

According to a source who spoke with People, the exes "have been on good terms for a while now and seem to enjoy chatting and hanging out." They added that the Air actor "usually acts happy around" Garner, but has been "extra giddy lately, though, and much more affectionate." The source said of Garner, "She doesn't seem to mind. She seems to enjoy spending time with Ben."

Adding to the gossip, a source told Page Six that Affleck "would love another chance" with Garner." They explained that he "would definitely be open to giving things another shot with Jen if the timing is ever right. At the same time, Ben knows it’s just not realistic at this time in their lives.”

Garner and Affleck were together for 10 years, from 2005 to 2015, and their divorce was finalized in 2018. They have three children together: Samuel, 16-year-old Fin, and 19-year-old Violet.

Affleck seeming "extra giddy" is obviously not concrete evidence that he and Garner are going to get back together. Also throwing a wrench in this idea? Garner has reportedly been dating John Miller, an investment company CEO, since 2018.

Responding to the claim that Affleck is interested another shot with Garner, a different source told Page Six , "The feeling is not mutual on Jen’s side. She’s happy with John and that’s just not where her head is at. She has a great co-parenting relationship with Ben, and that’s where things stand on her end at the moment.”

An insider also told Us Weekly that Affleck and Garner getting back together is "ridiculous" and that they are simply "good friends."

So, a lot from sources and insiders out here, but what have Affleck and Garner said? Not much, recently. In a 2020 interview with The New York Times the Tender Bar star talked about his divorce and his struggles with alcohol.

"The biggest regret of my life is this divorce," Affleck said. "Shame is really toxic. There is no positive byproduct of shame. It’s just stewing in a toxic, hideous feeling of low self-worth and self-loathing."

As for Garner, she keeps pretty private when it comes to her personal life, but a comment she made on a November 2024 episode of the Lipstick on the Rim podcast made a second Bennifer reconciliation sound very unlikely. Asked about the best advice she'd ever received, she said her mother told her, "Never expect a man—don’t marry a man thinking you can change him. She joked that she was "really gonna work on that one."

After a couple splits, just keeping things civil can be tough, let alone still maintaining an active, friendly relationship. When kids are involved, lots of exes manage to do just that, of course, but few do it as seemingly effortlessly as Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner.

Affleck and Garner aren't just successful, amicable co-parenting. Almost a decade after ending their 11-year romance (they started dating in 2004, wed in 2005, and announced their split in 2015), the former couple, who share three children, still treat each other like family.

Case-in-point: The exes reportedly celebrated the holidays together along with their daughters Violet, 19, and Seraphina, 15, and son, Samuel, 12.

"Jen and Ben were all together for Christmas. It's all for the kids,” a source close to the pair told People. “Jen grew up surrounded by her family for the holidays, and she wants the same for her kids."

Since their divorce, Garner and Affleck have always remained close and put their kids first, even as they've moved on in other romantic relationships. When Affleck rekindled his romance with Jennifer Lopez in 2021, Garner embraced the relationship and welcomed the Unstoppable actress into their blended family as a fellow co-parent and as a friend.

In 2023, a source close to the situation gushed about the women's bond after Garner invited Lopez's child, Emme, to join her and Seraphina on a trip to Disneyland.

“J.Lo has Jennifer Garner’s seal of approval,” an insider said, according to Us Weekly. “J.Lo thinks Jennifer is a kind and wonderful person and an amazing mother.”

Since Affleck's split from Lopez in August, he and Garner have been spending even more time together as a family unit, including volunteering together as a family on Thanksgiving, serving meals at an event organized by Los Angeles homelessness charity The Midnight Mission.

Even though they're spending more time together amid Affleck's divorce from Lopez, insiders say that nothing has changed, romantically, for the pair, who are in a good place as friends and co-parents, but nothing more.

“[Garner] will continue to make sure that they spend time together as a family and include Ben," a source close to the former couple previously told People. "The kids enjoy when they all spend time together. Jen's grateful that Ben's doing well. They are friends, but that's it."

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck might have parted ways years ago, but this Thanksgiving, their co-parenting bond took center stage. The amicable exes, alongside their three children Violet, Seraphina and Samuel, teamed up to serve meals to the homeless on Thursday, Nov. 28—and their display of unity comes just two weeks after Garner revealed a favorite quote from her mother about trying to change men.

Los Angeles homelessness charity The Midnight Mission shared a photo of Affleck, 52, and Garner, 52, on their Instagram account, writing, "Today, we were honored to have Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner join us at The Midnight Mission for Thanksgiving! The family—including Seraphine, 15, Samuel, 12 and Violet, who will turn 19 on Sunday, Dec. 1—dished out Thanksgiving meals to those less fortunate, and the Argo star took to the charity's Instagram account to share his thoughts on the experience.

"I've been involved with the Midnight Mission for a while," the apron-wearing actor said into a microphone, continuing he "has a lot of respect for the organization."

"I had a chance today to bring down my kids and let them help out, too, which I think is really valuable for them," he added as footage of the Afflecks serving meals played in the Reel.

Their family outing comes after the 13 Going on 30 star, 52, chatted with close friend Molly Sims on a Nov. 12 episode of her Lipstick on the Rim podcast with co-host Emese Gormley. When Garner was asked to share a favorite piece of advice or quote during a series of rapid-fire questions, she revealed some wise words her mother, Pat Garner, once told her.

“Never expect a man—don’t marry a man thinking you can change him,” she said, quipping that she was "really gonna work on that one." Garner, who is twice divorced, was married to Affleck for a decade before parting ways from the A-lister in 2018. She was previously married to Felicity actor Scott Foley, splitting from the star in 2004.

As for Affleck, he's about to join the twice-divorced club, too as he navigates a split from his second wife, Jennifer Lopez.

During the podcast, Sims asked how her friend managed to "remain so positive," and Garner admitted that she isn't as strong as some people might think, saying, "We have to allow ourselves to not be perfect all the time."

The Deadpool & Wolverine star emphasized the power of supportive friends when getting through the hard times. "Think of how many times I showed up at your house and just started crying," Garner added.

The actress also shared some of her other favorite "vintage Pat Garner" sayings during the episode, including a rather fitting one: “Happiness is your own responsibility.”

At one time, Jennifer Garner, Jennifer Lopez, and Ben Affleck appeared to be building a loving, blended family together. Unfortunately, those days seem to have ended, according to a new report.

After Lopez married Garner's ex-husband Affleck in July 2022, the Alias star reportedly became an unexpected "ally" to the "Marry Me" singer. However, a source has now claimed that Garner is distancing herself from the Atlas star, unless they need to communicate about their kids.

Speaking to DailyMail.com, a source alleged, "Jen [Garner] no longer wishes to have communication with J.Lo unless it is do with the kids."

The source continued, "Her friends feel she shouldn't have allowed herself to get so involved in helping J.Lo to fix her marriage to Ben."

The source also suggested that Garner and Lopez's shared history with Affleck may be contributing to the decision. "Especially considering [Garner] felt pitted against J.Lo at times during their own marriage," the source alleged. "[Garner] is too nice and truly wanted to help, so she tried."

Affleck and Garner's daughter, Violet, has stayed in contact with J.Lo and her sister, Lynda Lopez, since the split. Lynda even raised some eyebrows when she visited Violet at Yale University this fall.

"J.Lo getting close to Violet felt odd to [Garner] and then Lynda popping up at Violet’s school," the source told DailyMail.com. "[Garner]'s loyalty is to the father of her kids—Ben—and their children. Because they love J.Lo."

In spite of her own feelings on the matter, Garner will reportedly remained tight-lipped around her kids. "[Garner] would never badmouth [Lopez] or speak negatively about her," the source alleged.

Ultimately, Garner apparently has veto regarding whether her children can see Lopez or not. "Everyone knows that if J.Lo wanted to spend time with her children aside from Violet, it would have to go through [Garner]," the source claimed.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Garner played "mediator" between Lopez and Affleck, which can't have been easy. According to another source (via DailyMail.com), "Jen [Garner] feels slightly used as a pawn in J.Lo's bid to repair her marriage." The source continued, "She doesn't believe it was intentional."

Over the weekend, Jennifer Lopez's sister, Lynda Lopez, shared a selfie she'd taken with Violet Affleck while visiting Yale. Now, a new report has claimed that Violet's parents, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, aren't totally happy about the connection.

This isn't the first time that Violet has spent time with J.Lo or her family. Over the summer, Violet traveled to the Hamptons to hang out with the singer. Jennifer finally filed for divorce from Ben in August, but rumors regarding their separation had swirled for months. It would seem that Violet has remained close to her former stepmom in spite of her dad's relationship status.

"Violet has a strong attachment to J.Lo and her family," a source allegedly told DailyMail.com. "It's quite confusing to Ben and Jen [Garner] because they do not understand why Violet is so adamant on keeping her close."

The source also claimed, "[Violet] looks up to J.Lo and Lynda and is intent on keeping the bond alive."

DailyMail.com's source even alleged that Violet actually invited Lynda to visit her at Yale. "Violet said that she just reached out to her and said she wanted to come visit," the source claimed.

Unfortunately, Ben and Garner aren't necessarily on board with Violet's ongoing friendships with members of the Lopez family.

"The first time Ben saw this photo was online," the source alleged to DailyMail.com. "He wasn't aware that Lynda was visiting. But Violet is an adult, and she is allowed to do as she pleases and spend time with who she wants to."

The source suggested that the real issue might be that the selfie of Violet and Lynda was posted on the internet at all.

"Ben and Jen feel Lynda and Violet could have spent time together and even taken a cute photo together without it going online for the world to see," the source explained.

Back in July, a source told Entertainment Tonight that Violet's friendship with J.Lo placed him in a precarious position. However, Ben and his soon-to-be ex-wife were apparently "trying to make this transition as easy as possible and be gentle on their children." The source continued, "They don’t want to make things more upsetting than they already have been."

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner proved once again that they've mastered the art of putting family first as they attended a casual evening event in LA's Brentwood neighborhood on Friday, Oct. 18. But the exes—who were accompanied by their 15-year-old child, Seraphina—narrowly avoided an awkward run-in with Affleck's other ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez, who arrived just minutes later, per TMZ.

Page Six reported that J.Lo—who looked chic in a belted chambray jumpsuit—attended the unspecified event with her 16-year-old child, Emme, and several friends.

As for Lopez, she filed for divorce from the Argo star on the couple's second wedding anniversary in August. Despite a difficult year for the Marry Me star, she seems to have her sights set on the future—and a major 2025 comeback.

"She wants next year to be her best year ever to show the world her crummy love life did not get her down. She will rise," a source told the Daily Mail.

Apparently, the "Let's Get Loud" singer is also manifesting a big win at the Academy Awards. "She wants an Oscar for Unstoppable," an insider added, noting that the actress "felt she deserved it" years ago for her role in Hustlers.

"She was put in the middle and her friends think—no matter how you look at it—a man's ex-wife should never have to play mediator in a divorce from his new wife," the source claimed. "Especially when said wife was a big love who Jen was compared to throughout their 13-year marriage. She is happy that Ben is now happy."

Previous reports suggested Garner was an "unexpected ally" to the couple when divorce rumors started to spread. It was also noted that Garner had become friends with Lopez, while co-parenting with the superstar.

In an interview with ComicBook.com, Berry revealed that Reynolds' wife, Blake Lively, asked her if she'd consider playing her iconic X-Men character again. "Blake [Lively] asked me one time, I ran into her at a Marc Jacobs fashion show, and she said, 'Would you ever be in my husband's movie as Storm?'" Berry revealed to the publication. "I said, 'Yeah, if he asked me,' but he never asked me."

Clearly, Lively had our best interests at heart, as the world would love to see Berry reprise her superhero role on the big screen. The Gothika star was last seen as Storm in 2012's X-Men: Days of Future Past. This isn't the first time Berry has teased her return to playing Storm. "In a heartbeat I would do a Storm movie," she revealed, via Blerds. "I love that character through and through. So if that ever became an opportunity for me, if it’s before I’m 65 years old, I would absolutely do that."

Berry also suggested that fans of her character could help get the movie made, by showing just how much they support her. "Well, I think they should do it," she said. Lopez and Affleck have been hit by an avalanche of divorce rumors over the past few weeks, and of course Garner can relate at least in part, since she got divorced from Affleck back in 2018 (though they separated circa 2015).

Though it's unclear what exactly the two Jennifers' friendship looks like, we do know that Lopez recently attended Violet Affleck's graduation party at the 13 Going on 30 star's house—which is one of the rare occasions she's been spotted with her husband since split rumors began.

On the other side of the story, Garner has also seemingly been a great support for Affleck recently.

Divorce rumors began emerging in mid-May, following Lopez' solo appearance at the Met Gala—for which she served as co-host. Sources spoke to the likes of In Touch and Us Weekly at the time, claiming that the spouses' marriage was in trouble and that they had been living apart for some time.

Since then, the two have reportedly put their marital home on the market just one year after purchasing it, and have seldom been spotted together—though they continue to wear their respective wedding rings when out and about.

Recently, Lopez spent some downtime with friends over the Fourth of July weekend in the Hamptons, while Affleck remained in Los Angeles for the holiday.

Jennifer Garner and I were supposed to be talking about sunscreen. A face of Neutrogena for seventeen years, Garner was making the virtual rounds with journalists for Melanoma Awareness Month to discuss the beauty brand's skincare research and how she stays burn-free at the height of summer.

But somewhere during our Zoom conversation about skincare layering (she uses an SPF-based primer when she's on set), raising funds for research (Neutrogena has pulled in $1 million for the Melanoma Research Foundation), and Gen Z's questionable habits (48 percent of the cohort believes a "base tan" prevents sunburn, according to the brand's latest study with YouGov), I alluded to the 13 Going on 30 star that my own skincare routine is lacking in SPF. It's also lacking in consistency overall, despite being an age and in an industry where I definitely know better.

So Garner paused to ask me a question in the tune of her most memorable character: "Are you thirty, flirty, and thriving?" I told her the truth: I'm 29, and "thriving" hardly covers how I feel. In fact, I admitted, between the state of my skin and growing up in general, "existentially dreading everything" is a better description. My close circle of friends nearing their 30th birthdays have felt the same way.

Those little remarks were the bat signal Garner needed to give me a pep talk on aging I immediately sent to my groupchat.

On the skincare front, Garner said I had more than enough time to "turn the ship around." While Garner says she grew up in a family that took care of their skin, she's still had to work to keep her good habits as an adult. Having hardworking products stocked everywhere—in her bathroom where she can see them, in the door of her car, and in bulk to gift to her friends and family—are her visual cues to apply and re-apply to keep her looking as good as she feels.

"Tell all your friends that their 30s—it just keeps getting better and better thirties are great. Forties are better. Fifties seem to be better than that," she said. "So keep your chin up, it's all okay."

Garner remembers all too well that the transition to a new decade can feel like standing on the edge of a precipice. "By the time my friend group turned 50 we were all calm, but at 30, we thought turning 30 was the biggest thing ever," she remembered. "There are just so many big upheaval things that happen, you know, like, 'When am I going to have kids?' Or, 'Oh no, can I have kids?' And then it's just a lot of stress."

But she has a low-key, cost-free wellness ritual that's gotten her through. "Make sure you balance that out with some joy," she recommended.

In the days since we've spoken, I've had Garner's advice stuck in my head as I've gotten ready in the morning. When I'm tempted to roll out of bed and go straight into my commute, without so much as a dollop of sunscreen or a minute to myself, I hit play on my mental recording: "Remember to make room for joy," and, by her example, SPF. They're two little additions that can make getting older better, day by day.

"Jennifer Garner is encouraging Ben to work on his marriage to Jen," a source told Us Weekly. "She fully supports their relationship and wants nothing more than for him to be happy."

As a fellow celebrity, Garner also totally gets that fame "can put a strain" on any relationship, the insider added. This is something that has long appeared to be a problem for Bennifer, with Affleck preferring to lay low, while Lopez is comfortable in the spotlight.

This comes as divorce rumors have hit Affleck and Lopez over the past few days.

Last week, an anonymous source claimed to In Touch, "They waited almost two decades to get back together, but in the end, they just couldn’t make it work… They both said they’d matured and learned from their mistakes, but some of the bigger issues that tore them apart the first time remained the same."

Then, a source told Us Weekly, "Jen and Ben are having issues in their marriage. They started having issues a few months ago as Jen had started ramping up work commitments and prepping for her tour." However, at the time, sources stressed that—despite living apart—the spouses weren't planning to separate.

Amid all this, the "Jenny From the Block" singer liked an Instagram post about unhealthy relationships, and the Gone Girl star did a disappearing act at his wife's recent movie premiere (I mean, he just wasn't there—sorry).

Still, both parties have been spotted with their wedding rings, and were photographed in a car together this past weekend. Lopez also brought up her husband during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel this week.

Ben Affleck is "actively involved" with supporting ex-wife Jennifer Garner a few weeks on from her dad's death.

"He has been checking in on her and making sure she knows he is there for her since her dad's passing," a source told Entertainment Tonight. "It was the kids' grandfather and Ben and him always got along. He considered him family and always will."

Affleck and Garner were married between 2005 and 2018, and share children Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12. Both have moved on romantically, with Affleck now married to Jennifer Lopez and Garner in a long-term relationship with businessman John Miller.

The source added that "beyond dealing with this loss," the 13 Going on 30 actress "is in a very happy place and gets along with Ben and Jen[nifer Lopez]. Garner's dad William died at age 85 earlier this year, with his daughter announcing the sad news on Instagram. She acknowledged the grief that would come with his passing, but focused on the gratitude she felt for his life.

When the character Jenna Rink (played by Jennifer Garner) dances to “Thriller” in one of the coming-of-age movie’s most beloved scenes. The striped Versace minidress Garner wears in it has become “one of the most recreated Halloween costumes and sought-after looks in movie history,” People reports—but if you’re looking for the original Versace dress itself that Garner wore in 2004 to end up in a museum somewhere, you’re out of luck: it has been lost forever, the film’s costume designer Susie DeSanto said.

“The dress really wasn’t premeditated,” DeSanto told People, adding that she and her team were in a hurry to pick the look for that scene, so they just grabbed the Versace dress and went for it. If you haven’t seen the movie, first, please, go fix that as soon as possible—and, for context, know that the dress was important because “It’s Jenna’s first big party as a 30-year-old magazine editor after transporting from her 13-year-old life,” People writes, and, therefore, DeSanto “needed something that felt fun enough for a teen, but rich enough for an adult paycheck,” the outlet added. Check and check.

“Culture took the dress and went with it,” she said of how the Versace look has grown in popularity over the past two decades. “The reason I think people fall in love with it is because of Jen. I think anybody else in that role, it would’ve just been a cute movie, but I think right then she was the exact right person with right energy and ability to tap into her youthfulness.”

Neither Garner nor DeSanto held onto the dress after the movie wrapped, and DeSanto said she isn’t quite sure why. She told People that oftentimes costume pieces end up in warehouses where they’re reused, but this time “this dress seemingly vanished somewhere along the way,” People writes.

Garner herself has said a few times over the years how she wished she’d kept the dress, even noting that after she saw “her” dress worn in a 2003 episode of Sex and the City by a background actor that she found herself thinking “Get out of my dress! Give me my dress back! I want that dress!” she said on an episode of The View. She told Glamour of the Versace look “Susie and I can’t believe how much this dress keeps coming up, and how on Halloween every year there are more Jenna Rinks than fewer,” Garner said. She also addressed the Sex and the City cameo, telling the outlet “You will see it show up on a background player kind of scooting into a theater seat, and it just was, you know, a dress pulled out and put on a background player and then who knows where it ended up?” she said. “But sadly, I don’t have it.”

Of the Sex and the City cameo, DeSanto isn’t convinced that was the same dress. “I have a theory about that,” she said. “We were based in Los Angeles. There weren’t many of those Versace dresses to begin with. It was a very limited run, so I think somebody found that dress in a consignment store in New York [for Sex and the City]. I don’t think it was Jen’s dress. Her dress went into a warehouse, and I sadly think it’s in a landfill somewhere. Who knows where it is?” 

She said she assumed that, if the dress was still out there somewhere, it would have been found by now—if for no other reason than collectors would probably have tracked it down to make a buck off of it. “Unfortunately, no one seems to know where it is,” People writes. “Not even Versace has gotten the dress back. The fashion house did, however, recreate the iconic piece for Ariana Grande, who wore it on an episode of The Voice in 2021.”

Garner reached out to Grande to tell her how “beautiful” she looked as the modern day Jenna Rink: “It’s impossible to even tell you how warm and fuzzy it makes me to see that Jenna Rink still has a life,” Garner said.

Two decades on, DeSanto said that, beyond the Versace look, there were plenty of other designer pieces on hand: she worked with a set decorator on 30-year-old Jenna’s closet and decked it out with loaned Fendi bags, including “all of the up-to-the-minute Baguette bags,” DeSanto said. But the look of the film remains that Versace dress, a dress that “doesn’t even know how popular it became,” DeSanto joked. “It’s just gone.”

Of the film itself, “I think the message of the movie is a really strong, clear message to people about being yourself, believing in yourself, and doing things that feel comfortable and being who you are and all that kind of stuff,” DeSanto said. Garner added “It’s so sweet that it’s such a comfort movie for so many people. It makes me so happy.”

Meanwhile, Christa Belle—who played the younger version of Garner's character in the film—celebrated the anniversary by hopping into a glammed-up version of the iconic multicolored dress Jenna wore in the movie.

After 17 years, Jennifer Garner says she's ready for an Alias reboot and, perhaps, even a feature film.

During a recent episode of The Ringer’s Dear Felicity podcast, the actress said she wouldn't rule out revamping the 2001 hit television series created by J.J. Abrams, in which she played Sydney Bristow, an international spy for an alleged super-secret branch of the CIA that, it turns out, does not actually exist.

“I’m asked for a reboot literally every interview I do, when we’re gonna do it,” Garner told host and Alias costar Greg Grunberg, who said he he assumed the actress "wouldn't" be involved in a full-length film rather than a television series revamp.

“Are you kidding? Of course I would,” Garner insisted. “I’d do anything J.J. would direct."

Garner says she has remained close with the original cast since the final episode aired in 2006, including Bradley Cooper, Victor Garber and Ron Rifkin.

“Bradley, Victor, and Ron were just together—they were seeing Maestro, which is such an amazing movie,” she told the co-hosts of The View in 2023. “I see Victor and Ron all the time. So we’re all very, very close.”

This is far from the first time the actress has shared her enthusiasm for a potential reboot. During the same 2023 appearance on The View, the actress said it "would be so fun" to reboot the series.

"Oh my gosh, would that be the most fun ever?" she told The View co-hosts. "That would be so fun.” But again, Garner has one condition: The show's creator would have to be involved.

“You know, that’s really, that's up to J.J.," she explained. "Nobody has ever really brought it up.”

In a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Abrams praised the actress, who starred in Alias for five seasons.

“She had a vulnerability and a kindness in her that was undeniable,” Abrams said at the time. “And of course you couldn’t take your eyes off of her.”

The series creator went on to say that he could see an instant transformation in Garner as she prepared for the role in 2001.

“She was learning languages, scaling buildings and fighting with muscles I don’t know that she’d ever used before, and she was proud of her bruises,” he told the publication. “And it’s funny because she was married to Scott Foley, who was away doing a movie when we were making it, and by the time we were done, I remember thinking, ‘Oh my God, Scott’s going to come home to a different spouse.’ “

In the earlier days of her 25-plus year career, Jennifer Garner recalled crying in the bathroom after her audition for a hit television show that helped put her firmly on the map. (And no, it’s not Alias—more about that later.) Garner cried, actually, not because the audition was so bad, but because it was so good.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Garner had an “emotional” audition for Felicity, which aired from 1998 to 2002 and which Garner guest starred in, appearing in both season one and season four as the character Hannah Bibb. Hannah was the ex-girlfriend of Noel Crane, played by Scott Foley (who Garner started dating after meeting on the set of Felicity; they ultimately married in 2000 before divorcing four years later). Felicity was created by J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves, and Garner told The Ringer’s “Dear Felicity” podcast that the audition “must have been the breakup scene.”

“I remember the audition,” she said. “I remember going into the bathroom after, because the scene was so emotional and I needed to cry. I needed to hide in the bathroom stall and finish the cry that I started in the audition because it was such a powerful scene.”

On the show, Hannah was Noel’s long distance girlfriend; he broke up with her on Thanksgiving, after Hannah revealed that she had been spending time with another guy while at college. It’s also worth noting that Noel had just kissed the titular character of Felicity (played by Keri Russell), after Noel failed to clarify that he was, you know, in a relationship with someone else.

Garner said Abrams made her come back later to re-audition for the part, to which podcast host and former Felicity star Greg Gunberg quipped, “That makes sense to me, because you’re not very good. I totally get it. I mean, notes, notes—you know what? Let me give her a block of notes to take home.” 

In response, Garner said “I do need that, though. I’ve always loved a ton of feedback. I love that about working with J.J. and with Matt. They are helpful, and they are true directors. They aren’t just like, ‘Okay, that seems fine. You have another one in you?’ They have an idea, and they’re helping guide you to the best version of whatever you show up with.”

She continued “That was true in the audition process, as well. After the first read, then I really was invested and was like, ‘Oh gosh, I really wanna do this.’”

And do this she did; the part in Felicity led to breakout roles on the big screen, like in 2001’s Pearl Harbor, 2003’s Daredevil, and 2004’s 13 Going on 30. But perhaps her most notable role during that time period was as Sydney Bristow on the television show Alias, which ran from 2001 to 2006.

Per Us Weekly, Garner spoke out this week about how she’s asked about a reboot of the popular show in “every interview” she does. When asked if she’d be open to taking part in a full feature film, Garner said “Are you kidding? Of course I would. I’d do anything J.J. would direct.” (In addition to Felicity, Abrams also created Alias.) Last November, while appearing on The View, Garner said that while reviving Alias would be the “most fun ever,” Abrams has “never really brought it up” to her.

Garner and her fellow castmates on the show—Bradley Cooper, Victor Garber, and Ron Rifkin—have stayed close over the years. Garner also dated Alias castmate Michael Varner after her split from Foley, and the pair have stayed friends since their breakup. “Bradley, Victor, and Ron were just together—they were seeing Maestro, which is such an amazing movie,” Garner said of the film Cooper directed, wrote, and starred in. “I see Victor and Ron all the time. So we’re all very, very close.” 

Being bombarded with ads for anti-aging products and seeing people complimented for "aging well" is all too normalized in our society. And in Hollywood, the pressure to "age well" is tenfold, especially for women. But one A-lister has opted out of that narrative.

Speaking to People, Jennifer Garner shared her belief that "aging is a gift," not something to be feared. "I am grateful just to be alive. And I'm grateful for the wisdom that I've gleaned out of these years and really grateful to be able to watch other women go through this process of life so gracefully," the actress said. She tries "to follow in their footsteps and tell other young women, 'Take care of yourself, but don't be scared. Aging is a gift.'"

The Last Thing He Told Me star also told the magazine she eats "really well" and exercises regularly for her mental health. And with her upcoming 52nd birthday, she's focusing on building her community. "To me that day is about: How am I going to look outside of myself?" Garner told People of her birthday. "How am I giving back to the world that gives me so much?"

This isn't the first time Garner has shared her positive outlook on the aging process, either. Last year, she told Allure wrinkles are a "part of life" when asked about the anti-wrinkle straw that was then trending on TikTok. She also told Harper's Bazaar in 2022 that her beauty advice is to "look in the mirror less," something most of us could stand to do.

Ben Affleck was the muse behind wife Jennifer Lopez’s sweeping project This Is Me…Now, which includes a new album, a musically infused film (both of which were released yesterday), and a forthcoming documentary about it all.

Now, reports are emerging that Affleck’s ex-wife Jennifer Garner will collaborate with him on a new project, which will also include Affleck’s longtime best friend Matt Damon. The film, a crime thriller called Animals, will appear on Netflix, The Hollywood Reporter writes, adding that Garner is currently in negotiations. 

Affleck is directing the film and is producing alongside Damon under their Artists Equity banner, the outlet reports. “Pieces are still being put together, including Garner’s deal, but if it all fits, the thriller could be before cameras in Los Angeles starting [in] March,” The Hollywood Reporter writes.

The plot centers around a mayoral candidate (to be played by Damon) and his wife (potentially played by Garner) whose son is kidnapped. “Surrounded by plenty of enemies, political and otherwise, the husband and wife have no choice but to get their hands dirty in order to save their son,” The Hollywood Reporter details. 

Garner is already a Netflix favorite, appearing in hits for the streaming service like Family Switch, The Adam Project, and Yes Day. Interestingly, Affleck and Garner have appeared together in three movies, all made before their 2005 marriage: 2001’s Pearl Harbor, 2003’s Daredevil, and that movie’s spinoff, Elektra, released in 2005. Though the former couple acted together in that trio of movies, Garner has never been directed by Affleck.

Affleck and Garner divorced in 2018 after 13 years of marriage and three children together.

As for Affleck and Damon, the best friends are famous at this point for working together, beginning with their Oscar-winning debut Good Will Hunting in 1997 up to last year’s Nike drama Air. After the success of Good Will Hunting—for which the duo won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay—they considered going their separate ways professionally, but it didn’t quite shake out that way, People reports.

“For a while, we thought maybe we should chill and just do other stuff, and not be Matt and Ben, Matt and Ben,” Affleck said in Boston Magazine (their shared hometown). “We have our company together, we’re developing together. And Matt lives down the street from me like he used to. His kids are living with him, the way we used to live with our folks. The only difference is that we have pools.” 

Jennifer Garner is reminding Taylor Swift—and the rest of us—that the most powerful pop star on the planet is also "hilarious."

In celebration of the most romantic day of the year, the 13 Going on 30 star posted a scene of the 2020 film Valentine's Day she shared with Swift on her Instagram account.

The clip shows Garner's character texting in an elevator. The elevator doors open to show Swift, holding a white Valentine's Day-themed teddy bear as large as she is.

Swift and Garner share some small talk before Swift says: “So my boyfriend texted me this morning, and he was like, ‘Look outside your door.'" Garner then points to the bear and says: "Oh.”

"Happy Anniversary to this sweet movie, Valentine’s Day. We miss you, Garry," Garner captioned the post. "(If @taylorswift is looking for something to keep busy, I’d like to remind her that she’s hilarious.)"

The awkward scene between Garner and Swift—who in the scene is sporting her iconic "13" on her hand—continued with Swift detailing the moment she looked outside her door only to realize "my boyfriend’s nowhere to be found, but there’s this giant white bear… on the ground."

"Yeah isn’t that the sweetest thing ever?” Swift asks Garner.

“Ever and ever," Garner's character responds.

After a brief conversation about whether or not Garner lives in the building because Swift's character sees her "in the lobby all the time," the pair say goodbye.

 “Alright, I’m gonna go to school now. I’m gonna take my bear with me," Swift says. "Well, I hope you get a lot of Valentine’s today."

The 2010 ensemble movie was one of Swift's first appearances in a film or on television, and featured her highly publicized relationship with Twilight actor Taylor Lautner, her boyfriend at the time.

The film's director,  Garry Marshall, said that Swift and Lautner were added to the Valentine's Day cast last minute, and were "willing to try anything while shooting the flick."

"When they got there, there was nothing really written," Marshall told MTV at the time. "They weren't in the original script, so we did a whole thing with them and worked with them. They did a good job. They're both brave, they'll try anything."

Is there anything Taylor Swift can't do?

Fans were nearly robbed of the countless memorable moments between Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo in the 2004 movie 13 going on 30.

On Thursday, Feb. 8, during a ceremony honoring Ruffalo and his Hollywood Walk of Fame star, Garner revealed that her co-star almost quit the film after the pair first rehearsed the now iconic "Thriller" scene.

“I wonder if these esteemed ladies enjoyed Mark's anxiety as much as I did,” Garner said, referring to Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow and Keira Knightley who have all shared on-screen romances with Rufffalo.

“I wonder if he tried to drop out of their films," she continued, "like he did out of ours after the first rehearsal of the 'Thriller' dance where Mark went from kind of shocked that we actually had to do this, to antsy, to deathly quiet, to 'Bro, this is not for me.’"

Garner and Ruffalo ended up recreating the scene during the ceremony, to the delight of fans the world over.

Garner also credited Ruffalo's rom-com success to his "scruffy hair" and "untucked cute button down," going on to add that both "became like the norm for cute guys everywhere for the next 20 years."

Garner's speech wasn't the first time she has talked about Ruffalo almost walking away from 13 going on 30. In a 2021 interview with theSkimm, Garner dished on just how close fans were to being robbed of Ruffalo's "Thriller" dance moves.

"We started to learn the dance. Our first rehearsal, I think it was Mark and Judy (Greer) and me, and Judy and I were both dancers growing up and poor Mark didn't know that," Garner said at the time. "And he came in and he hated the rehearsal process so much he almost dropped out."

Ruffalo also weighed in on the rehearsals and why he wasn't in love with the process.

On an Instagram post on People's official page covering Garner's comments in her 2021 theSkimm interview, Ruffalo wrote: "It didn't help that it took me 3 hours to learn what Jen mastered in about 20 minutes!"

While Garner brought the jokes in her speech at Ruffalo's Walk of Fame star reveal, she was also sincere and heartfelt.

"To work with you, Mark, is to love you, I don't care what anyone says," Garner said, before telling her former co-start that it is “a privilege” to know him.

Garner just showed up to support Ruffalo as he received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Feb. 8, and the two actors knew that their mini 13 Going on 30 reunion would mean the world to fans of the movie—so they made the most of the opportunity.

Garner and Ruffalo acted out the "Thriller" choreography, which they performed together in an iconic scene from the 2004 romcom, resulting in an incredible series of photos.

The Alias actress honored the Hulk star with a moving speech at the ceremony, having been asked to step in for Laura Dern, who was sick with COVID. She joked that others had already touched on many different aspects of the actor, but that it was up to her to "elucidate Romcom Ruffalo."

She mentioned Ruffalo's other romcom costars, including Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Keira Knightley, and quipped, "I wonder if these esteemed ladies enjoyed Mark's anxiety as much as I did.

Of course, though, Garner was full of praise for her friend and costar.

"There's a through-line from beloved Matty in 13 Going on 30 to Duncan in Poor Things, a common thread of anxiety—yes, of clarity of purpose, of understanding of story, of standing up for your characters, being a person of character, showing up for your costars, bringing your family with you into every moment every scene, and showing up with joy," she said. "To work with you, Mark, is to love you, I don't care what anyone says."

She continued, "You allow yourself to be fully known by your colleagues, by the audience, by the world. Your work on Poor Things deserves all of the awards, all of 'em. But the real success is in how thrilled and how delighted your colleagues are to have the opportunity to lift you up and celebrate you. Every time your name is called, Hollywood takes a deep collective breath and says, 'OK, the good and right thing has happened.'"

Ruffalo's wife and children, whom Garner referred to as "Sunrise and Ruffalitos," were also there to support him on the day.

Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck, and Jennifer Garner are one big, happy blended family.

On Sunday, January 28, Lopez and Affleck were spotted with Affleck's ex-wife, Garner, and the majority of their brood while leaving a musical performance at Garner and Affleck's kids' school in Los Angeles, California, TMZ reports.

The trio were seen with Affleck and Garner's children, 14-year-old Seraphina and 11-year-old Samuel, as well as Emme, 15, who Lopez shares with her ex-husband, Puerto Rican singer and actor Marc Anthony.

The photos show Garner exiting the school alongside her son and daughter, with Affleck, Lopez, and daughter Emme following close behind them.

Of course, this is far from the first time Affleck and Garner have been pictured together. The amicable co-parents were seen sharing a laugh back in November, TMZ reported at the time, while attending their son Samuel's basketball game.

Affleck and Garner were married for 13 years before finalizing their divorce in 2018. The co-parents share three children together—Seraphina, Samuel and 18-year-old Violet Anne.

In December 2021, Affleck opened up about his split from Garner and what it has been like to co-parent with his ex-wife, telling radio personality Howard Stern: "The truth was, we took our time, we made a decision, we grew apart."

"We had a marriage that did not work. This happens. It is somebody I love and respect, but to whom I should not be married any longer," the Gone Girl actor said at the time.

He went on to add that the co-parents absolutely had moments of tension and disagreements over custody.

"Was stuff difficult for us? Did we get angry? Yes," he continued. "But fundamentally it was always underpinned with respect. I knew she was a good mom. I hope that she knew that I was a good dad. I was. I had to get sober — I knew that too — and I acknowledged that. I said, 'You're right. I've got to quit drinking.'"

That same year, Affleck shared a sweet Mother's Day message on Instagram in honor of Garner and all that she does as a co-parent, ABC News reported at the time.

"So happy to share these kids with you. Luckiest parents in the world. Thanks for all the good you do. Happy Mother's Day. Love, their Dad," Affleck wrote in the caption.

Earlier, in March 2019, Affleck Told TODAY that he's lucky his children "got a great mom and she helps out a great deal with making sure we coparent in as good a way as possible," before adding that "of course" his ex-wife is "wonderful."

"[When] somebody's the mother of your kids, they're gonna be the most important, central person in your life," he added.

Garner has also been vocal about her co-parenting relationship and how loving a father Affleck is and continues to be.

On Father's Day 2023, Garner shared a sweet message of her own to Affleck on Instagram.

"Happy Father’s Day to the best to ever do the job. (Jeans in church 😬— I made my connecting flight, but my luggage didn’t 🙏). We love you, Dad. X," the actress wrote at the time, along with a photo of her own parents. "PS Shout out to BGA—no one loves their kids like you love ours, happy Father’s Day, Ben! X."

Lopez has also commented on her husband's co-parenting journey and what it's like to live with a blended family, telling Vogue in 2022 that the couple's co-parenting relationship with Garner is "amazing."

“What I hope to cultivate with our family is that his kids have a new ally in me and my kids have a new ally in him, someone who really loves and cares about them but can have a different perspective and help me see things that I can’t see with my kids because I’m so emotionally tied up,” the singer and actress said at the time.

"I was so loving to his kids and he was so loving and accepting of mine, and they embraced each other right away,” she added. “[It was] ‘I get a new bonus brother and sisters to hang out with all the time and it’s nice.'"

Reese Witherspoon vulnerably got emotional at an event her media company, Hello Sunshine, hosted in Los Angeles yesterday, telling the audience assembled that, during a difficult period in her life about a year ago, she realized that she was “the glue in everybody’s life, whether it’s work or being a mom or being a partner, but who is holding you together, you know?” She added “We hold up so much for so many.”

In addition to the many roles Witherspoon holds—mom, actress, producer, philanthropist, founder, for starters—Witherspoon is also a fantastic friend, as fellow actress Jennifer Garner shared at the “Shine Away” event yesterday, detailing how Witherspoon helped her during a dark chapter in her life.

“I think back to going through a very public, very hard moment in my life,” Garner told Witherspoon at yesterday’s event. “This one was right there.”

And, in addition to emotional support, Witherspoon also encouraged another form of healing—dance. “The way I needed to get through it was to dance cardio,” Garner said, per E! News. “And I dance cardio-ed so hard, we broke her foot—but she kept going.” To this, Witherspoon added “Just keep dancing, ladies. Just keep dancing.” 

Even a broken foot didn’t stop this pair. “It was like, ‘Okay, we worked out at 7, on vacation,’” Garner said. “'We’re going to work out again at 2.' She’s like, ‘Okay, uh huh, I’m going to be there. I’m going to be there.’”

Though neither Garner nor Witherspoon shared when this happened or what Garner was facing exactly, E! News reports that Witherspoon previously twisted her foot in 2011, which could mean something, or it could mean nothing. In 2015, Garner went through what she herself described as a challenging time in her life when she split from her husband, Ben Affleck, who is also the father of her three children.

“Going through it in public is not what’s hard, going through it is what’s hard, A,” she told The Hollywood Reporter in 2021. “And B, my children’s eyes are on me.” 

Garner is an unflinchingly positive person, though, and of herself, she said “I’ve learned that I’m pretty sturdy,” she told People in 2021. “I’m okay when I’m in the house by myself. I’m okay when it’s just the kids and me. I’m okay when they fall apart. I mean, I have my moments, but pretty much, I’m really okay.”

There’s more of that then there is stuff to complain about. It’s such a calming part of my night that sometimes I have trouble staying awake.” 

Garner has also found a way to bring that same peace and calm to her skincare routine. “I know what I want out of it,” she says. So with a music backdrop, a candle, a diffuser, and a Neutrogena lineup of skincare, she sets up shop in her bathroom. “When I sleep, I ask my skin to work for me. I either want it to regenerate with retinol or I wanna boost it with hydration so I wake up feeling dewy, plump, and moisturized,” Garner says. Exes Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are coparenting their three children fantastically—and as Page Six reports, they have Jennifer Lopez to thank for it. (It’s a bit of a messy situation, if you’ll recall—Affleck and Lopez were engaged before breaking it off, and not long after their split Affleck and Garner married, eventually welcoming three kids, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, before divorcing in 2018. In 2021, Affleck and Lopez rekindled their relationship and married last year.)

Lopez has helped the two get to a “better place,” The Daily Mail reports, with a source adding that “Ben is healthy. The drama of the past and the emotions of divorce are long gone, and they are all making it work.” 

Lopez herself is “friendly” with Garner, and all of their children “love each other.” (Lopez shares twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, who she also married not long after the Affleck split.) “It is really a very happy co-parenting situation,” they said.

They added “Everything is really good right now and should be the same in the near and distant future,” also noting that Affleck and Lopez have also had “many talks” about her co-parenting relationship with Anthony. “They all have been able to figure it out,” they said. “It is actually inspiring and nice to see.”

As for Affleck and Lopez, the couple have “no drama” in their relationship, and “their relationship is still on fire,” they said. “They are really happy with each other.” Affleck and Garner, meanwhile, seem to be in a great place as well, as they have been spotted riding in a car together in Santa Monica this week and, two weeks prior, seen hugging in the same vehicle. Lopez has praised Affleck and Garner’s parenting dynamic in the past, telling Vogue that they do an “amazing” job in her December 2022 cover story for the magazine. She said the two “work well” together and have handled the blending of their families with “so much care.”

Jennifer Garner has earned a reputation as the nicest woman in Hollywood—and it seems it’s well-deserved.

Per TMZ, the actress literally offered the shoes off of her feet to a man she encountered at a Santa Monica beach: “Jennifer Garner leads with kindness,” the outlet writes, “taking time out of her day to help out a homeless man in L.A., even taking the shoes off her feet to let him wear.” Garner was photographed “leaning out of her car to hand the man a bag of essential goodies, before jumping out of the ride to give an even more personal touch,” TMZ reports. “Jennifer quickly realized the guy was barefoot, so she put socks on his feet and even took her own shoes off to give to him…chatting him up with a smile on her face.” 

Garner’s shoes didn’t fit, so she rushed over to a photographer and offered to buy his shoes to give to her new friend. (The photographer, proving that kindness does still exist, offered up his shoes free of charge.) They also gave the man a blanket, a shirt, and pants.

This certainly isn’t a one-off—Garner is committed to being a good person. In fact, for her fiftieth birthday, instead of throwing a traditional party, she hosted a big food drive. And, of her new friend, “she certainly made the guy’s day,” TMZ writes.

As anyone who has done it knows, blending a family can be difficult. Matters are potentially even more complex when your ex-husband and father of your three children marries his ex—who he was famously once engaged to before you married him. Add into the mix that all of this is playing out in the spotlight, and, yeah, it can be complicated. (Plus, you have the same first name.)

But relations seem to be smooth between Jennifer Garner and Jennifer Lopez, as was evidenced when Garner took one of her daughters with ex Ben Affleck (Lopez’s husband, just in case you somehow missed that), Seraphina, as well as Lopez’s daughter Emme to Disneyland recently. Per Us Weekly, “J.Lo has Jennifer Garner’s seal of approval,” an insider says. “J.Lo thinks Jennifer is a kind and wonderful person and an amazing mother.” 

Since Affleck and Lopez reconnected, the couple and Garner have been seen on several group outings with their kids—Affleck and Garner are parents to Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, and Lopez shares twins Max and Emme with ex Marc Anthony—including a trick-or-treat trip with the blended family in October 2021.

As the family blended and adjusted, Garner and Lopez were focused on strengthening their friendship: “Now that Jen and Jen have been coparenting, they’ve been getting to know each other better and have formed a very new friendship,” a source tells Us Weekly, adding that Garner “can’t believe how sweet” Lopez is to her kids. “They really enjoy each other.”

Lopez shares the affection, speaking to Vogue last November of Garner and saying she’s “an amazing coparent, and they work really well together.” Of creating the aforementioned blended family, “the transition is a process that needs to be handled with so much care,” Lopez said. “They have so many feelings. They’re teens. But it’s going really well so far.” 

Affleck and Lopez were first together in the early 2000s, starting their relationship in 2002 and becoming engaged that same year. They broke up in 2004, and that summer Lopez married Anthony. Affleck married Garner the next year. Lopez and Anthony split in 2012, and Affleck and Garner in 2015; Affleck and Lopez reconnected romantically in 2021, became engaged for a second time in 2022, and married that same year.

Ever since Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck reignited their flame in 2021, tying the knot soon afterwards, the two have been spotted taking their respective kids out for quality time as a family—whether that was for a simple dinner or for a fun day out at Universal Studios.

Lopez shares twins Emme and Max with ex Marc Anthony, while Affleck shares children Violet, Seraphina and Samuel with ex Jennifer Garner, and their families have previously been said to "get along great."

This statement still seems to be true, if some of the kids' long weekend plans are anything to go by. Garner was photographed at Disneyland with her daughter Seraphina, 14, and some of her friends, which included Emme, 15.

Considering their similar ages, what this looks like to me is that Seraphina and Emme have grown quite close since their parents got together, and it's super heartwarming to see.

TMZ published pictures from the group's day out at the Happiest Place on Earth, which showed Garner taking the kids around the park, and playing official photographer for them. Considering the actress has been a director and a producer on a handful of projects, I'm sure she knows a thing or two about what it takes to be behind the camera.

Affleck and Garner divorced in 2018, and the Tender Bar actor started dating his ex Jennifer Lopez again in 2021. They announced their engagement in April 2022 and married in July of that year.

While the famous couple has been spotted a little less in recent months, they demonstrated their commitment earlier this year by getting matching tattoos of infinity signs with the names "Jennifer" and "Ben" written around the outline.

It’s Jennifer Garner like we’ve never seen her before—taking hair risks (the blonde bob!), fashion risks, and candidly opening up in the most recent cover story of Allure. The star—whose most recent turn was in Apple TV+’s The Last Thing He Told Me—opened up about motherhood, telling the outlet “Being a mother was one thing I knew I was going to be. I really could have been a mother in any way. I could have adopted, I could have fostered, but there was no doubt I was going to be a mom.”

Garner shares three children with ex-husband Ben Affleck—Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, who apparently don’t like watching her movies: “They don’t mind watching their dad, but they kind of want me to be their mom,” she says. “They don’t want to see me upset and women cry more in what we do. And they don’t really want to see me in a romantic thing.”

Speaking of, Garner says—“I really love my solo life.” She’s busy working and being a mother, reflecting on giving birth to Violet in 2005 “I was such a first-time mom. [My eldest daughter] didn’t have a shot. She couldn’t have a free thought—I was all over her. I was a nightmare for everyone around me.”

Garner, who admits “I’m not good at being fake,” also says that she takes being a celebrity hard at times, saying “I learned a while ago that I’m way too sensitive to what is written about me, my family. The only things I have on my phone are The New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal. I can’t even have CNN. I used to love the Huffington Post, but anything that has a celebrity section”—and she shook her head, as if to say that’s not for her.

Jennifer Garner—whose latest project, The Last Thing He Told Me, drops on Apple TV+ on Friday—got candid on NBC’s Today about social media and her three children Violet, Seraphina Rose, and Samuel, who she shares with ex-husband Ben Affleck. None of them are allowed on social media platforms, she told Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager.

“I just said to my kids, ‘Show me the articles that prove that social media is good for teenagers, and then we’ll have the conversation,’” Garner said. “Find scientific evidence that matches what I have, that says it’s not good for teenagers. Then we’ll chat.”

Of the decision, Garner said, “my eldest is grateful.” Violet is 17, Seraphina Rose is 14, and Samuel is 11, and Garner said of keeping the younger two off of social media “We’ll see. I mean, it’s a long haul. I have a couple more to go, so just knock on wood. We’ll see if I really hang in there.”

Per People, Garner has long held strong opinions about keeping her kids off of social media. In 2019, she shared why then 13-year-old Violet wasn’t allowed on Instagram, speaking on the podcast “Next Question with Katie Couric”: “Without even having parents who are well-known, I worry about kids having to deal with this new pressure,” she said. “My daughter’s at an all-girl school, and it’s such a huge problem. She’ll occasionally talk to me about getting Instagram, and I can see why, because I’m on there and it’s something kind of fun that I do, and I am modeling the opposite of what I want for her to do. How often is that in parenting?”

Garner continued “But everything you look at, I don’t see anything positive for you out there. You can look at mine when you want to, we can go over it together, but I just don’t see it.”

Though Garner did admit that engaging in social media “makes you feel more connected,” she revealed that she joined Instagram begrudgingly and has continued to do things her own way since.

“I joined Instagram because of Once Upon a Farm,” she said, referencing her organic baby food company. “It was very much part of the deal and I did it kicking and screaming, but that’s how much I wanted to be involved with this company. And when I did it, there’s all these companies in L.A. who will come in and do your social media for you, and I just said I can’t do that. I have to be able to do this my way. I went out there and did what felt right for me.”

Never mind Golden Globes and Critics' Choice Awards, Jennifer Coolidge is definitely up for the award of best celebrity ever.

On the Golden Globes red carpet, the White Lotus star was asked what her absolute dream role would be, and she answered completely out of left field (but as far as I can tell, completely seriously), "I've always wanted to play a dolphin."

The interviewer, taken aback, answered, "Like Flipper?!" to which Coolidge just replied, "Yeah."

Another famous Jennifer, Garner, saw this clip and had an important message for Coolidge.

The 13 Going on 30 actress stitched a clip from Coolidge's Flipper interview with a clip from the late '90s TV series Fantasy Island, in which she—incredibly—plays an actual dolphin.

On the video she posted to Instagram, Garner wrote, "You're in luck, Ms. Coolidge. These roles exist! Perhaps you remember me as 'Sally the Dolphin' in the 1998 Fantasy Island reboot…"

Fantasy Island looks completely unhinged, BTW. In it, Garner's character changes from a real-life dolphin into a woman wearing a silver one-piece swimsuit. Upon seeing this transformation, a man she was courting walks away from her shouting, "You're a dolphin!!!!"

I mean, WHAT?

Taking to the comments, people were appropriately appreciative of this historical moment in pop culture.

Jennifer Garner has wowed her fans once again with her latest hair transformation.

The 13 Going on 30 actress recently attended "The Big Night Out" Gala for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles in Hollywood, and she showed up sporting a beautiful brunette lob with subtle honey highlights—or bronde, if you will.

She wore her hair side-parted and loosely waved for a cool-girl vibe. Before this, Garner's hair was previously past shoulder-length, and not dyed at all from her natural brunette color.

Hair aside, the actress wore a cream jacket and matching dress shorts with a simple white shirt and tan suede heeled pumps. She accessorized with drop earrings.

According to Cosmopolitan UK, Garner's gorgeous new look came courtesy of her longtime hair stylist, Adir Abergel.

And just so you know, these two aren't just stylist and client, they're longtime friends, too.

People magazine recently published a retrospective of Garner and Abergel's good times together over the years, and the hair pro took to Instagram to express his delight over the article.

"More than my BFF's, my family!" he wrote next to pictures of the piece.

"Thank you @people for celebrating @jennifer.garner and I. We met in 2001 and our work relationship turned into a friendship and that friendship turned into my family.

"I'm blessed to have friends I admire in this lifetime.

Clearly, their lovely friendship is well known in their entourage, because blue-ticked friends rushed to tell Abergel how much they love the both of them.

Jennifer Garner thinks about others a lot, sometimes more than she thinks about herself, but when she turned 50 on April 17 of this year, she decided to celebrate herself in style (just not her own style, necessarily).

"I basically had a wedding for myself," the actress said in an interview with Town & Country. "I was so shocked that I was doing it."

At this wedding-birthday party, Garner asked her guests to fill no fewer than 5,000 backpacks with food for a family of four, to be donated to Blessings in a Backpack.

"I put everyone to work," she explained, adding that they had danced to the Osborne Brothers' "Rocky Top."

Elsewhere in the interview, Garner addressed her reputation as being a fundamentally "nice" person. "I have no reason not to be nice. My life is lovely," she said.

"I’m not always just nice. I can also be salty, and I can be taciturn, or I can be really serious about what I want to get done. It’s not that I feel I’m underestimated in that way—I’m not afraid to stand up for myself and say, 'Just so you know, this isn’t going to fly with me.' When that happens, I don’t want you to be shocked that I’m a real person."

Garner is a dedicated philanthropist, notably as a board member for Save the Children, for which she helped on the ground in eastern Kentucky and central Appalachia, when historic floods hit the area.

Her "niceness" also shines through in the activities she often engages in, such as visiting a local farmers' market, sharing emotional messages dedicated to her children, or washing her cat in the sink. Never change, Jen.

Cut to her role as a mom, and her beauty ethos has stayed on par. Even though Garner emphasizes exploration to her children, she admits that her two daughters, Violet, 16, and Seraphina, 13, have taken up a similar attitude towards superfluous beauty. “They see what I value. When they were super little and I would come home from work the first thing they would say is, ‘Go wash your face! Your eyebrows are too dark,’” she jokes. “They want me looking like their mom who is in glasses and sweats and slippers and cooking them food.”

“I never dry my hair all the way. I put it up in a pin or in a scrunchie. When I get to where I'm going, I take it down and it has some volume. When I was living in New York and auditioning, I'm sure I went to half of my auditions with wet hair like this. It would give it some natural zhuzh.” 

“Work on Your Biscuit” 

“I think one of the best gifts you can give yourself beauty wise is to work on your biscuit and do what you need to do to build muscle on your backside. You want a little something there, you don't want it flat. It takes a lot of work—especially as you get older. It takes a lot of work to keep your lady looking high and tight. I guess you could get an injectable, but really there's no shortcut. Just build that muscle. I do The Limit with Beth Nicely. I’ve been doing it with some of my friends and I noticed that all of their jeans were looking different. Then I noticed my jeans were fitting differently. And at first I was like, Oh my gosh, my jeans are tight. And then I like, Wait a minute…my jeans are tight. It’s a good mood booster.” 

Jennifer Garner’s red carpet glam is unmatched. But when it comes to her day-to-day routine? She’s the first to ditch foundation and go au naturale. It’s a low-maintenance beauty practice she’s intent on passing down to her daughters Seraphina and Violet, whom she shares with ex Ben Affleck. “My beauty advice is always the same: Look in the mirror less, obsess less, and look at the rest of the world to see what you could be using your time for instead,” the 13 Going on 30 star said in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. “We all look at our faces more than people used to, and it doesn’t do you any good.” 

And while there’s nothing wrong with wanting a little filler here or Botox there, Garner takes a more conservative approach to injectables—and she wants her kids to do the same. “Be cautious when it comes to injecting anything into your face. Be very, very incredibly judicious and wait as absolutely long as possible to add anything,” she said in the interview. “Don’t think that you’re 37 and you need to be shooting up your face. You don’t need to wear so much makeup or have such a constant blowout." 

The Alias alum speaks from experience. She previously opened up about getting Botox in a 2020 interview with Real Simple. “I’ve gotten Botox a few times and I don’t like it. I don’t want a frozen face,” she shared. Instead, she focuses on keeping her skin healthy. Her number one rule? Don’t ever sleep with makeup on.

“There is no excuse for going to sleep with makeup on your face,” she previously told Marie Claire. “I always wash makeup off, so I start with Neutrogena Makeup Removal Wipes—they're classic—and then I move to washing my face. Ryan Reynolds and Zoe Saldana are also in this new movie, so run, don't walk to see it when it comes out on March 11.

People spoke to Ruffalo and Garner at the premiere for The Adam Project, and they had some lovely things to say about working together again.

Ruffalo said the experience was "amazing." He added, "It was like we picked up where we left off. It was like Jenna and Matty went off and had Ryan Reynolds as a kid, and no one can understand how he got so tall." No, I'd be pretty flummoxed by that, too.

Garner was equally enthused by their professional reunion. "I know he was excited to be with me and I was too," she said. "We had a great time."

The Adam Project director, Shawn Levy, told People how his very shrewd casting choice came to be. "It was my wife who suggested Jen Garner to play the mom," he said. "I shared the idea with [Ryan] and he loved it. He then, after the fact, pointed out to me that this was the 13 Going on 30 reunion."

Basically, Levy had no idea what he was doing when he did what he did, and we are all better off for it. "So even though it looks like the smartest marketing move ever, it was strangely accidental, but we got all the benefit of the chemistry that exists between Mark and Jen," he added.

To make a very funny and not at all overdone joke: Did I wake up in 2002? Because Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are back together, and they're not ruling out getting engaged again. What's next, Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man? (Yes, FYI.)

In case you missed the last two decades of pop culture news, the couple known as Bennifer, or Ben & Jen, met in 2002 on the set of Gigli (a terribly rated movie, which is why you've only heard of it in this context), started dating, got engaged (all that same year), then broke up in 2004 before they had a chance to go through with the wedding.

But, in 2021, those who had cried, "love is dead!" 17 years prior were treated to a new burst of optimism: Amid Lopez and Alex Rodriguez' relationship breakdown, we started to catch wind of a Bennifer reunion. The Marry Me star confirmed the relationship with a steamy Italian Instagram photo back in July.

Since then, multiple insiders have implied that the couple is extremely open to marriage. Now, yet another source tells Entertainment Tonight that the lovebirds "are open to the possibility of getting engaged and married."

The source adds, "Ben and Jen are so in love. Their loved ones would not be surprised if Ben pops the question. Of course, they will be considerate of their children when thinking about moving forward with their relationship. They both want things to be great between their kids, not just the two of them."

According to the insider, everything has been smooth-sailing so far, not only for Lopez and Affleck's romantic relationship, but also for the friendships between their respective children (Lopez shares two kids with Marc Anthony; Affleck has three with Jennifer Garner).

"They really trust each other and that is so important to both," the source continues. "They also have so much in common in terms of their careers, and both have kids with ex partners, so they both get the dynamics of each other's lives and families.

"Ben's kids really like Jen, and her kids love Ben. He is incredible around them and makes them all laugh. He goes with the flow. Their kids like each other too, which they are both so grateful for and happy about, because they know that sometimes that can be tough."

Their relationship feels like "a fairy tale between them and like they are meant to be," the source explains. "She is so incredibly in love with him. Ben is so funny and confident. He is always telling Jen she can do anything. He is not scared or intimidated by her money or success."

And that's not all!! Apparently, their exes are making Affleck and Lopez' life easier, as well. Garner "is in a good place with herself and with Ben," the insider says. "She is happy for him. She is glad that Ben is healthy and thinks he is a really good dad."

As for Lopez and Anthony, they "talk a lot. He is very understanding and loves her as a person. He is always supportive of her. They are just really great friends and co-parents. He wants her to be happy."
