Maddy Sangster, who took over the jewelry label Heavenly London from her mom, revealed that one celebrity has made a bigger impact on the business than anyone else.

"The Princess of Wales, for sure," Sangster told the Daily Mail in a new interview. "Back then she was the original influencer. It was a butterfly effect. Overnight the business went from this teeny tiny company to booming."

While other celebrities, including Jennifer Lopez and Rachel Zegler have shown love for the brand, Princess Kate's endorsement has generated the biggest sales.

Sangster continued, "Suddenly, there will be this flurry of activity on the website, especially from America. You know exactly what's happened because her followers are so loyal."

The Princess of Wales has worn Heavenly London on several occasions. For instance, she wore a pair of pearl earrings from Heavenly London when she attended the reopening of the National Portrait Gallery in London in June 2023.

Discussing some of the ways she's been changing the brand since taking over, Sangster shared, "The business my mother built was incredible and had a devoted following...My job has been translating that devotion into a modern brand, and the growth has come from customers who found us online and stayed."

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to explore Lambert’s work and celebrate the collection launch at the Montauk Beach House. While personalizing my necklaces, bracelets, and earrings with quirky charms, I felt suddenly transported back to my childhood summers on the shore. These endearing pieces have quickly become core staples of my warm-weather wardrobe, adding the perfect amount of whimsy to every outfit.

Below, I’m sharing how I styled these accessories during my Hamptons getaway with Pandora, and how I’ll continue to wear them throughout the season. With summer in full swing, it’s an ideal time to indulge in these fun styles for yourself, too.

Nineties Nostalgia

If you haven’t yet heard, ‘90s-inspired cord necklaces have been trending across the fashion set. So, of course I had to try the vintage look for myself with Pandora’s version. I treated the brand’s Talisman necklace as a blank canvas, decorating it with a mini submarine charm and an adorable crab pendant. Then I added cobalt-colored beads that matched my cool blue button-down top. I completed my outfit with minimalist staples: a black tank top, white linen trousers, and sleek leather sandals.

Sardine Summer

Who knew that fish jewelry would become a coveted accessory trend? I, for one, can’t seem to get enough of the nautical look. For a day of shopping on Montauk’s Main Street, I styled Pandora’s Sardine Fish Charm with its Squid Dangle Charm. Strung along a shimmering chain necklace, these pendants instantly elevated my relaxed cardigan and striped drawstring pants.

To enhance things even further, I slipped on a two-tone ring and a chain bracelet (I chose the gold option, but Pandora also offers a stunning blue alternative for a vibrant pop of color).

Back to Basics

I’ve always been a “less is more” type of gal. For this outfit, I channeled my inner minimalist with a gold rolo chain and a subtle dangle charm. I applied this same pared-down philosophy to the rest of my ensemble, opting for a simple tube top and a pair of blue bottoms that felt oh-so beachy.

Star of the Show

Adorned with a spotted starfish and tiny gold heart embellishments, this bold necklace became the focal point of my coastal-chic outfit. Since it’s such a statement-making piece, I finished off the look with laid-back separates, including a butter yellow button-down, a scoop-neck tank, and tailored trousers. This easygoing outfit formula carried me through brunch outings, casual coffee runs, and everything in between.

Late-Night Elegance

While in Montauk, the Pandora team treated us to a lovely dinner at Alba Spiaggia. For the fancy occasion, I decided to take things up a notch with my jewelry. I kept on my starfish necklace, but added a bold bracelet, dazzling earrings, and an eye-catching ring. In doing so, my look felt less beach-ready and more dinner-appropriate.

Part of the beauty of the Pandora Wonders collection is that it’s the first of many. Each annual edition will explore a distinct material in collaboration with visionary tastemakers. I’m beyond excited to style next year’s installment, but until then, I’ll be wearing my playful pearls all summer long.

Wimbledon might be over, but I’m still thinking about Princess Kate’s outfits. The Princess of Wales attended three days of the 2026 tennis championships, wearing a tradition-breaking blue trouser suit, a vintage-inspired red peplum dress and a floaty green midi dress with cape detail. But while her outfits were all brand-new, she looked to familiar favorites for her jewelry.

Whether it was her favorite Van Cleef & Arpels earrings, the lapis and moonstone drops she wore with her suit or the ruby and diamond set she’s been wearing more regularly lately, Kate went for tried-and-true pieces of jewelry. Although she’s occasionally worn new pieces to Wimbledon, jewelry expert Nilesh Rakholia says that the Princess of Wales is looking to Princess Diana when it comes to building visual association through jewelry.

“Wimbledon isn't just another engagement, it's tradition, and for the Princess of Wales specifically, it comes with a particular kind of scrutiny,” Rakholia, founder of Abelini, shares. Since it’s televised, he says the championships present “a very different kind of pressure than an ordinary public appearance,” adding that Wimbledon “is exactly the kind of occasion where people reach for what's proven rather than what's new.”

Princess Kate certainly has her favorites when it comes to jewelry, wearing the same pieces from jewelers like Kiki McDonough, Cartier, Daniella Draper and Spells of Love on repeat. Rakholia says that “seeing the same pendant or the same earrings appear again at moments like this builds a quiet familiarity over time,” pointing to Kate’s late mother-in-law as an example.

“Think about Princess Diana, mention her name and certain pieces come to mind almost instantly: her sapphire engagement ring, the pearl choker she wore so often it became part of her visual identity,” he notes. “That association wasn't built in a single appearance, it took years of repetition.”

Sapphires and pearls were two of Diana’s signatures, and Rakholia suggests that Kate might be heading the same way with rubies. “I think we may be watching the early stages of the same thing happen with Kate and her ruby pieces,” he says. “It's still early days by comparison, but the same quiet, cumulative process that made certain jewelry inseparable from Diana's image seems to be underway.”

The Princess of Wales first wore her G. Collins & Sons ruby pendant during a 2017 tour of Poland, and the diamond halo design is very similar to her famous sapphire engagement ring, which was originally worn by Princess Diana. This summer, Kate has been wearing the necklace and its matching drop earrings more frequently, recently sporting the set to a Cancer Research U.K. reception.

As for rubies, they also happen to be Prince George's birthstone, and the future King will turn 13 next week—a fitting reason to wear ruby jewelry more than ever.

Princess Kate has her pick of jewels from the Royal Family’s collection, and while she does borrow some of Queen Elizabeth’s historic necklaces or Princess Diana’s favorite earrings, she also favors her own modern jewelry. For Trooping the Colour 2026, the Princess of Wales wore a newer favorite pair of earrings by Cassandra Goad, and although they come with a hefty price tag, royal fans can get the look with a very similar pair by Tuckernuck.

Kate’s $10,072 Cavolfiore earrings feature clusters of diamond-studded pearls, with the word “cavolfiore” meaning “cauliflower” in Italian. According to the designer, the earrings were “inspired by the Sicilian markets, which are full of the most beautifully ripe fruit and vegetables that overflow copiously from their baskets.”

The 18-carat-gold earrings are indeed stunning, but for those of us who don’t have royal titles, Tuckernuck offers a $48 pair that will give you princess energy without spending thousands.

For the price, you'd expect these statement earrings to be faux, but they're actually made from genuine freshwater pearls with a hypoallergenic titanium post. I'm incredibly impressed by the quality and the substantial size—they certainly don't feel cheap. I don't do well with heavy earrings, and although I wouldn't classify these as lightweight, they're comfortable enough to wear for hours.

Princess Kate has been wearing her Cassandra Goad earrings since 2018, pairing them with everything from wool coat dresses for formal church services to a lime green Self-Portrait dress at Wimbledon.

"The Princess of Wales has always gravitated towards jewelry that feels timeless rather than trend-driven, and these pearl cluster earrings are a perfect example," Oliver Hobart, jewelry expert at 925E, tells Marie Claire. "They're distinctive without being overpowering, which is why she can wear them repeatedly without them ever feeling overdone."

Calling the style "a perfect example of the 'quiet luxury' aesthetic," the jewelry pro notes that like my Tuckernuck earrings, shoppers "don't need to invest in an 18-carat designer pair" to get the same look as Kate. As for me, I'll be wearing my new pearls with sundresses and skirts—but come winter, they'll make the perfect accent for a white Christmas.

Zendaya is currently in London to promote the release of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey alongside her husband, Tom Holland. As noted by her stylist, Law Roach, Zendaya captured "the essence of Athena" in a custom Jacquemus dress, in reference to the character she plays in the new movie.

The Euphoria star wore a custom Jacquemus halter gown, featuring a low-cut back, and a subtle back leg split, along with a matching headscarf. Zendaya accessorized the dress with a pair of her favorite Christian Louboutin So Kate Pumps in White.

For jewelry, Zendaya wore a striking pair of Glenn Spiro Materials of the Old World Earrings, fashioned to look like ancient gold coins or artifacts, with two Barron Twist Rings.

Following an on-theme press tour for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Zendaya's Odyssey outfit choices are a masterclass in dressing for the job at hand. For instance, the actress has already awakened the gladiator sandal trend and styled a little white dress, which was also giving Grecian vibes.

Basically, if there's a theme to build a roster of outfits around, Roach and Zendaya are always extremely prepared, which is pretty inspirational, tbh.

The most important celebrity wedding of the year is finally here and—unsurprisingly—the guests are all serving utterly superb looks. Case in point: Selena Gomez just wore a little black naked dress to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding rehearsal dinner, which will be hard to beat.

Swift and Gomez have been friends for a long time and it's clear that the Only Murders in the Building star understood the assignment. For the July 2 wedding rehearsal dinner at Madison Square Garden, Gomez opted for a strapless black dress from Oscar de la Renta, featuring a subtly naked design with sheer panels creating a nearly-nude effect, and a leg split.

Gomez's stylist, Erin Walsh, shared photos of the jaw-dropping outfit on Instagram, along with credits. The Oscar de la Renta dress was accessorized with Jimmy Choo heels and jewelry from Fernando Jorge.

Last year, Gomez paid tribute to Swift during the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit. "She's one of the most brilliant people I've ever met," the Rare Beauty founder shared (via People). "She is very strong in her lane, and she gives great advice all the time."

Gomez continued, "I'm not sure what I would say I've done for her other than been there as a friend."

Serena Williams and Anna Kournikova both wore engagement rings the size of a tennis ball during Wimbledon matches past. That said, there’s a precedent for Aryna Sabalenka to sport over 60 carats of diamonds and emeralds during her first Wimbledon 2026 match.

On June 29, the Belarusian athlete returned to London's Centre Court with a new, bespoke set of good luck charms. Wimbledon's grass courts and Sabalenka's birthstone inspired New York-based jewelry brand Material Good to sculpt each of her yellow gold sparklers around emerald gemstones.

First, the Aryna Axis Necklace emerged from beneath Sabalenka's sleeveless, stark-white tennis dress from the NikeCourt Heritage collection. 41 chocolate brown, diamond ovals encircled the nape of her neck, accented by ten heart-shaped emerald charms.

Since Wimbledon's all-white dress code doesn't say anything about jewelry, Sabalenka said, "Why not?" to matching earrings. She selected coordinating brown diamond studs for her earring stack, accented with heart-shaped emerald charms underneath. Together, the oval and heart pair retails for $47,200.

Contrary to Williams and Kournikova, Sabalenka left her four-month-old engagement ring in her locker. A crater-sized, 14-carat diamond as large as Williams's might've impacted her Grand Slam-winning serve. Instead, 27 bezel-set emeralds around the heels of her Nike Vapor 12 sneakers tapped into the anklet trend. According to Material Good, the $32,700 Aryna Axis marks the label's first foray into anklet designing.

This year, Material Good has become an essential part of Sabalenka's pre-match ritual. She styled custom jewelry suites from the brand during the 2026 Australian Open and the 2026 French Open. Earlier this month, she made headlines at Stade Roland-Garros for competing in over 200 carats of diamonds and garnets from Material Good.

“Diamonds, I don’t really feel the heaviness, but I can imagine how it looks from the outside,” Sabalenka told reporters. “So I feel pretty comfortable. For me, it’s important to look good.”

200 carats of rich red garnets are so valuable, you'd have to request the price tag directly from Material Good. Her cushion-cut earrings, on the other hand, are available right now for $12,500.

Since Oakberry CEO Georgios Frangulis proposed to Sabalenka in March 2026, she's occasionally worn her engagement ring during matches. The oval-shaped diamond made its tennis debut at March's BNP Paribas Open in California. "It feels pretty comfy," she revealed during a press conference. "It feels shiny. I hope that my opponent will get distracted by this diamond and it's going to benefit me."

Perhaps Sabalenka's Material Good gemstones had the same effect at Wimbledon. After all, she did advance to the next Ladies Singles round.

Throughout 2026, Taylor Swift has been channeling minimalism in the majority of her outfits, seemingly leaving Showgirl orange in the past. To promote her new single, "I Knew It, I Knew You," which is taken from the Toy Story 5 soundtrack, Swift shared a carousel of snaps on Instagram. In two photos captured in a recording studio, the musician could be seen wearing a tie-dye bodysuit, resurrecting a recently forgotten trend.

Unfortunately, Swift's Agolde Leila Tie-Dye Jersey Bodysuit has long since sold out, but the singer's endorsement is likely to inspire the tie-dye trend to restart. The "Red" singer paired the bodysuit with a pair of high-waisted jeans, worn with a brown leather belt.

For earrings, Swift wore a pair of Nouvel Heritage Monday Morning Mood Hoops in Yellow Gold. The singer could also be seen wearing two chain necklaces, along with her Darlene de Sedle 22k Gold and Opal Diamond Ring from Elizabeth Taylor's estate.

On Saturday, June 6, NHS nurse Harriet Sperling officially became a member of the Royal Family when she married Princess Anne's son, Peter Phillips. Notably, Sperling didn't wear one of the Royal Family's tiaras, despite many commentators believing she might opt for a headpiece belonging to her new mother-in-law, Princess Anne.

For her royal nuptials, the bride wore a custom Emilia Wickstead column wedding gown, featuring long lace sleeves and a high-neck. Instead of borrowing a tiara from the Royal Family's extensive collection for her wedding, Sperling loaned a headpiece from the jeweler responsible for creating her engagement ring, Pragnell.

As noted by the jeweler's website, the Pragnell Tiara's "diamonds highlight a festoon of glittering laurel leaves and articulated floral motifs." Sperling paired the decadent headpiece with matching earrings from the jeweler and a long, sumptuous veil featuring an embroidered hem.

"Favored as a bridal headpiece and owned by the Pragnell family, this delicate tiara has been worn by generations of Pragnell family members and was present at the coronation of both King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II," the jeweler's website explained.

Per the jeweler, the Pragnell Tiara is "very rare" in its design as it references both the Edwardian and the Deco periods. Despite not belonging to Princess Anne, Sperling's new mother-in-law does have an unexpected connection to the headpiece.

As noted by the designer, the Pragnell Tiara bears a "great resemblance to the tiara owned by The Princess Royal, [shown] in the official photograph celebrating her fiftieth birthday in 2000," the jeweler noted.

Despite forgoing a Royal Family tiara on her wedding day, Sperling made a romantic choice by wearing a headpiece tied to her engagement ring from Phillips.

There are certain destinations that seem to bark at you to become someone else the moment you start packing for them. Paris does this. So does Palm Beach. And Nantucket? She may be the most persuasive (and loudest) of them all.

The minute the trip is booked, something happens psychologically. Suddenly you’re online looking at cable-knit sweaters, considering boat shoes with alarming sincerity, and convincing yourself that perhaps your entire personality has always been “coastal New England heiress” all along! It’s seductive and completely understandable. Nantucket has a very specific visual language, and it’s hard not to want to participate in it.

And the truth is, the pull makes sense. You will, in fact, probably end up on a boat. Or, at the very least, near enough to the water to think you are. The weather also demands practicality. Days can be warm and bright, but the evenings, even in late June, can carry a sharp ocean chill that sneaks up on you the second the sun drops. Layering isn’t just chic here—it’s survival.

The streets themselves are another consideration. Nantucket’s charming cobblestone streets are less charming after two martinis and a poorly considered shoe choice. This is not the place for precious stilettos or suffering for the sake of fashion. You need summer shoes that can handle movement and uneven terrain. Elegant sandals, sleek loafers, and good old flip-flops. The goal is ease, not yacht-club-captain cosplay.

What I love most about dressing for Nantucket is the color palette. It inhabits the world I’m already naturally drawn to, which makes sense since I’m a New Englander: crisp whites, icy blues, bright pinks, soft greys, weathered navy, the occasional faded red. Everything feels slightly sun-bleached and wind-touched in the best way possible. (This includes hair.)

This is also one of the rare places where pattern mixing feels particularly right. Stripes with checks. Florals with paisleys. Lightweight plaids layered under oversized cotton knits. Menswear-inspired shirting, or sweaters, thrown over a simple swimsuit. Easy slip dresses with flat jelly sandals. Natural fiber bags and totes that can take you from the beach to lunch without having to go back to your hotel room. The trick is, elevating it somewhere else. Maybe it’s a great cocktail ring or a cool seashell brooch. Or even an elegant hair clasp to keep a low bun in place. To attend a wedding in Brooklyn on Saturday, May 16, Swift brought the glamour in a sumptuous gold Maria Lucia Hohan Allar Cut-Out Silk Mousseline Gown, which retails for $2,280. She accessorized the eye-catching dress with a pair of Aquazzura's 105mm Leather Tequila Sandals and the label's gold Ari Clutch.

However, it was the singer's incredible jewelry that really stole the show.

Princess Kate is currently in Reggio Emilia, Italy, where she is continuing her research into early years development. During the trip, the Princess of Wales has gotten her hands dirty, but also delighted royal fans with her outfits. Although this marks Princess Kate's first solo trip abroad since her cancer diagnosis, the royal is keeping reminders of home close to her heart with a unique bracelet.

On the second day of her trip, Princess Kate was spotted wearing an eye-catching fabric bracelet, featuring a floral deisgn and several gold charms, which she wore alongside her Cartier Ballon Bleu Watch. Sharing details of the jewelry commission on Instagram, the label explained, "Atelier Molayem is deeply honored that HRH Catherine, Princess of Wales, chose to wear our 9kt yellow gold cube initials bracelet from the 'ABC' collection."

The caption continued, "Crafted in collaboration with @relaisroncolo1888 and paired with original Liberty fabric, the jewel celebrates the people we hold closest to our hearts, those we wish to carry with us always."

Discussing Princess Kate's trip to Italy, one source told People, "She's looking forward to being here, she's energized, she's enthused, she's excited to see Reggio Emilia in action and meet the people here too."

The Royal Family is known for its unmatched jewelry collection, which includes a plethora of invaluable engagement rings. But according to one former royal employee, one royal bride actually didn't like her engagement ring very much.

In his book, A Royal Duty, Princess Diana's former butler, Paul Burrell, recalled the moments leading up to the royal's engagement to King Charles. According to Burrell, a famous jeweler "was spotted with a small attaché case" at the palace, causing speculation regarding an imminent proposal.

Per the former butler, "David Thomas, who was responsible for the upkeep of the Crown Jewels in the Jewel House at the Tower of London, had in fact brought...rings, with strict instructions not to include rubies or emeralds." Burrell also shared that Thomas's attendance seemed "far too cloak-and-dagger" for anything other than a high-profile engagement.

According to Burrell's recollection, "A selection of diamonds and sapphires was set on a tray for—oddly—The Queen's perusal. Once the monarch had made her choice, [Charles] gave his approval. Lady Diana was third in line to offer her opinion."

If Burrell's account is to be believed, Princess Diana wasn't completely responsible for selecting her now-iconic engagement ring.

"The bride-to-be accepted the selection that had effectively been made for her because she did not want to appear rude and ungrateful," Burrell wrote in his book.

He continued, "As she later told me: 'I would never have chosen something quite so gaudy. If I had the chance again, it would be more elegant and simple.'"

Burrell's version of events slightly deviate from previous stories told about Princess Diana's engagement ring. As reported by Vogue, Charles showed his bride-to-be several potential rings from the jeweler Garrard, and the princess "opted for an Ceylon sapphire stone surrounded by diamonds set in white gold—which also happened to be a stock item." Basically, the design wasn't unique to the Royal Family and could've been purchased by anyone else who viewed the jeweler's catalog.

As the founder of Abelini, Nilesh Rakholia, previously told Marie Claire, "The ring, originally created by Garrard for Princess Diana, features a 12-carat oval Ceylon sapphire set in 18-carat white gold and framed by 14 solitaire diamonds...Its design drew inspiration from Queen Victoria’s sapphire-and-diamond cluster brooch, a wedding gift from Prince Albert in 1840." Basically, it seems as though Diana might have had more agency over selecting her ring than Burrell gave her credit for.

It's somewhat hard to believe that Princess Diana didn't necessarily like her engagement ring very much. In the years since, the timeless ring has been passed down to Princess Kate and continues to be envied by royal fans and jewelry connoisseurs worldwide. In hindsight, perhaps it was the right selection, after all.

Princess Kate is known to borrow important jewelry pieces from the collections of royal relatives. For instance, Queen Mary's Lover's Knot tiara is one of the Princess of Wales's favorite items, and was previously beloved by both Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Diana. As a result, Kate's choice of jewelry for her solo Anzac Day appearance in 2026 makes a lot of sense.

Leaving Prince William at home with their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—Princess Kate attended the Anzac Day Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey in London on April 25. I’ve never been a staunch minimalist, but I have definitely leaned that way most of my life. I like simplicity and good design, preferring elements like texture, shape, and fabric to bring more interest to a piece rather than bold color or fussy details. In a Venn diagram of personal style using only Saint Laurent muses, I’ve always felt my circle overlapped more with Betty Catroux than Loulou de la Falaise. While I can appreciate the latter’s flair for the dramatic, Betty’s lean suits and masculine-meets-feminine approach resonate far more than Loulou’s prints and layered stacks of bangles.

It goes without saying, then, that my approach to jewelry has historically been less-is-more. I have been wearing the same two Cartier pieces daily, along with my wedding band and the diamond stud earrings I always keep on, even when I swim. Jackie O had her swimming ring; I have swimming earrings. So it surprised me, as much as anyone, over the past few years that I was suddenly drawn to statement jewelry pieces so often.

Backing up slightly, I have to admit some prior prejudice when it comes to the statement necklace in particular. If you had purchasing power in the mid-aughts, you may, like me, have statement necklace PTSD. These candy-hued monstrosities were all over mall culture, and while some designers were certainly making high-quality versions, most of what was readily available wasn’t good. I skipped the whole thing entirely then.

My gateway drug into statement jewelry was undoubtedly pearl necklaces—I find them very elegant and still quite minimal. I also am really feeling tassel necklaces. These pieces are still mainly black and white, a departure from gold or silver, which obviously had been my go-tos, but still well within my comfort zone. More recently, I’ve also been embracing some color in necklaces and earrings as well—just a bit of rich red or green. These are generally crafted out of the same gems you find in crystal shops, so they give me all the good energy malachite and red jasper.

The trick to keeping my newfound favorite statement jewelry pieces aligned with my personal style is that the outfits that I style them in are always streamlined, meaning I let one single item shine at a time (though I don’t mind two necklaces if they coordinate well). And of course, good design is always king.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I am a Julietta stan. This Brooklyn-based jewelry brand was founded by Juliana Liden in 2021, but I discovered it about a year or so ago. She is putting out such a beautiful range, and I especially love the collar necklaces and just recently got the long green jade necklace, which feels like a game-changer.

Lizzie Fortunato

I’ve actually been well-versed in the wares put out by twin sisters Lizzie and Kathryn Fortunato for years, but only recently really delved into their more true statement pieces. I love the whimsy and creativity they bring to each piece they design.

Completed Works

I’m drawn to the artful and intellectual vibe Completed Works offers. The jewelry brand was founded by Anna Jewsbury after she graduated from Oxford as a way to translate her interest in history and politics into beautiful creations. Everything she makes feels so special.

At Present

I first discovered At Present via a design collaboration with a fashion creator that I think is very chic, and it’s been a love affair ever since. It was founded by a fifth-generation jeweler and seeks to champion independent designers, which I love. The pieces are unique and beautifully made; I especially love these lariats, which I paired with a vintage onyx necklace I found on eBay and a Facetes jacket, a small French label that’s very chic.

Jennifer Behr

I have mainly associated Brooklyn-based Jennifer Behr with her iconic hair accessories, which are often quite feminine and perfect for weddings and special events. As I delved into her jewelry offerings, I was super drawn to the simplicity of the pieces and how the materials she uses truly become the star. I particularly love how her extra-long stone necklaces can be worn in so many ways—I love mine with an oversized T-shirt to really put it on display.

Mosquito

Speaking of hair accessories, I am counting this stunning one as jewelry from Mosquito, a modernist, Spanish, made-to-order label with an incredible approach to craftsmanship. These pieces are simple yet breathtaking and often take hours to create. I love wearing this French hair clip with their onyx drop earrings, I think it looks so elegant for evening with a refined yet easy robe jacket.

Tara Chial

I only recently discovered Tara Chial and fell instantly in love with this shell belt-slash-necklace with a tassel detail. The colors meld together so beautifully, I styled it as a belt with a Fou Paris top and Dodiee trousers. The Panama-born, New York-based designer has a joyful approach to jewelry that’s contagious. I also have a pair of dark green earrings from her that I can’t wait to wear.

Dainty jewelry is dead; long live dainty jewelry. Welcome to the reign of chunky beaded necklaces—at least the news I’ve gathered from the street style coming out of the fashion capitals and the expert-written Substack newsletters in my inbox.

Everywhere I look, I see maximlist beaded necklaces in place of hair-thin chains. I open my email to tastemakers waxing poetic about Don’t Let Disco, the New York jewelry brand leading the luxury-ification of beaded jewelry. Spelunking through Parisian and Milanese street style, I see—and save for later—outfits featuring big bauble strands layered over boxy suiting and spring sundresses. I log onto Slack and see MC’s Style at Large columnists calling beaded necklaces their secret style weapon. Even better: I walk around my Brooklyn block or head to an industry event in SoHo and am distracted by the supersized beads accessorizing every other stylish woman who passes me by.

All this to say: big ol’ beaded necklaces are back, baby—and I’m not mad about it.

To staunch minimalists, or those scarred by the statement necklaces of the 2010s, the chunky beaded necklace comeback might feel out of left field, perhaps even unwelcome. But considering that maximalist beads were popular outfit finishers on the Spring 2026 runways, the writing has been on the wall for a handful of months now.

To wit, the beaded necklaces gaining traction among tastemakers today are a far cry from the coral and salmon-colored strands we layered over J.Crew Jackie cardigans a decade ago. These are large and in charge, definitely still in the category of a statement, but with a clear emphasis on luxury and artistry. As such, this also puts the spring jewelry trend miles ahead of the randomly strung-together strands you made at summer camp, using whatever your counselor found in a craft store’s clearance bin.

At Chanel, Matthieu Blazy topped off plaid skirt suits and starched Charvet button-downs with layers of glossy, galactic-looking pearl marbles and chevron-shaped pavé resin beads. (Yes, chevron; perhaps the discourse about a 2016 fashion revival wasn’t that far off after all…) With an assist from every fashion nerd’s favorite jewelry designer, Presley Oldham, New York City fashion darling Henry Zankov’s Spring 2026 runway glinted with crystals, pearls, shells, wooden blocks, and Murano glass beads on silver chains. Elsewhere, Michael Kors went full-tilt boho with ultra-chunky wooden beads, while Bottega Veneta draped liquid-like droplets around models’ necks.

Bottega is not new to material manipulation—see: the Italian fashion house’s denim-printed leather pants and fiberglass fringe—so it’s unsurprising that designer Louise Trotter would approach a beaded necklace like a sculptor would when making a piece for a modern art museum. Her chunky, crystal-clear take also represents what the 2026 jewelry trend champions: bold expression done so masterfully well, and undeniably expensive-looking, that no one would dare call it tacky.

Peeking through your favorite lightweight spring jacket or over an after-hours slip dress, as a color pop against a neutral top layer or clustered together because the more, the merrier, the best chunky beaded necklaces rebrand kitschy as a compliment. King Charles and Queen Camilla are getting ready to celebrate their 21st wedding anniversary on April 9, and ahead of the event, The Queen has debuted a striking new piece of jewelry. Their Majesties attended the annual Royal Maundy service on April 2, with Queen Camilla wearing a dazzling diamond and sapphire brooch that looks like it could be straight out of the royal vaults.

The Queen wore an elegant navy coat featuring floral embroidery with a matching hat, pairing her outfit with diamond and pearl drop earrings and her new brooch at St Asaph Cathedral in Wales. The sapphire and diamond design resembles a crown, and although its provenance is unknown, jewelry expert Justin Daughters tells Marie Claire that it may have been a gift from King Charles ahead of their anniversary.

“From an antique jewelry perspective, the piece is defined by a series of high-level gemological details that set it apart from many traditional royal jewels,” says Daughters, who serves as managing director of antique and vintage jewelry retailer Berganza. This week, I’ve been locked in on all things Fashion Month: big debuts at Fendi, Gucci, and Marni; surprise model castings at Prada (hi, Bella Hadid!); and fall trends taking shape all over. This point in a fashion editor’s calendar is the Webster’s Dictionary definition of busy. In moments like these, I’m scanning A-listers’ outfits for styling tips that can bring my outfits together faster than you can say “Birkin bag.” And that, my friends, is how I landed on the one-step accessory trend ahead for this week’s edit. No, it’s not an elusive, five-figure bag—it’s a lot more accessible.

’90s-inspired cords with a big pendant are the necklace du jour among the most stylish women I follow. While the look got a stamp of approval on the Spring 2026 runways (meaning, a lot of great options to shop are hitting stores now), celebrities soft-launched their comeback as early as last summer. The likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Daisy Edgar-Jones, and the aforementioned Hadid sister are still very much on board. It’s the last step to making everything from a white button-up shirt or crewneck sweater to a slinky, deep-V top look that much more intentional.

The mixed materials and earthy pendants tend to feel very boho. (Another celeb-backed trend that hasn’t died down yet.) But as you’ll see with the way I style them, you don’t have to be a free spirit counting down to Coachella to wear them.

How I Style It

I call this the Olsen Tuck: necklace version. Instead of leaving my hair nonchalantly inside my sweater or coat, I tuck the back half of a pendant inside a tall rollneck and let the charm or stone peek out. With billowy pants and a nice leather loafer, it’s the finishing touch to an outfit that looks considered, but is very, very comfortable.

I still spend a lot of time in virtual meetings. My shorter pendant necklace with a big, unmistakable stone has lately been a compliment magnet in back-to-back Zooms. This Líe Studio version joined my collection right around Copenhagen Fashion Week, and has been my favorite finishing touch ever since. I love how the silver chain coordinates with my piercings—and how it shines against a cool-toned top.

At the 2001 SAG Awards, first-time nominee Kate Hudson wore more gemstones on her Donna Karen dress than her décolletage. Her only visible jewels were stud earrings, glimmering from beneath her wavy curls. Now, 25 years and two nominations later, Hudson made up for lost time—and diamonds—at the SAG-turned-2026 Actor Awards red carpet in over 20 carats of custom Emily P. Wheeler sparklers.

Nearly two hours after L.A.'s Shrine Auditorium opened the red carpet, the "Female Actor in a Leading Role" nominee honored the “Reimagining Hollywood Glamour From the ‘20s and ‘30s" dress code in a Valentino gown and opulent Emily P. Wheeler gems. The L.A.-based jeweler sculpted "a half million-dollar" high jewelry set, featuring a necklace, a cocktail ring, and earrings, just to complement the Song Sung Blue star's dress.

"Unlike couture, which is almost always custom, high jewelry is typically loaned from existing collections that have been worn before," stylist Sophie Lopez tells Marie Claire. "To collaborate directly with Emily to design an entirely original suite specifically for Kate allowed us to approach the look with complete intention."

"For such a significant red carpet moment, we knew the jewelry needed to reflect that level of importance," Wheeler tells Marie Claire. First up? A collar-style torque necklace, centered by a 10.15-carat antique Desert diamond atop Hudson's collarbone. 38.73 carats of pavé diamonds covered every square inch of the collar, before asymmetrical bubble-fringe stones cascaded down each open end. The torque's white diamonds encompassed the aforementioned, champagne-colored scene-stealer, which offset the otherwise balanced structure.

Wheeler's "bubble-fringe" effect stretched onto similar statement earrings, crafted to spotlight 2.7-carat, light brown Desert diamonds on each stud. Then, 2.24 carats of smaller, white diamonds bordered both center stones like tiers of raindrops. Wheeler also designed droplet-less studs for Hudson's special night. This pair started with same circular, champagne diamonds, except the surrounding smaller stones were more compressed.

Hudson's east-west engagement ring from fiancé Danny Fujikawa was joined by not one, but three Emily P. Wheeler creations. For the first two, the designer sourced 3.09-carat and 2.71-carat Desert diamonds from Botswana. Sally Morrison, natural diamonds market lead at diamond company De Beers Group, credits the rise in warm-toned gemstones to celebrity red carpet fashion. See Jessie Buckley and Bad Bunny's Desert diamonds at the 2026 Golden Globes and Super Bowl LX, respectively, for proof. To complement Hudson's earrings and necklace, white circular diamonds decorated her bubbly bands.

Because it was such a "dream to create custom jewelry for Kate," Wheeler couldn't possibly stop there. Her final and most "bohemian" ring by far drew inspiration from Wheeler's signature twist silhouette. An 8.8-carat center stone—Hudson's last Desert diamond—was a splash more rose gold than its predecessors, possibly a nod to her engagement ring's pink-ish band. The winding setting featured 3.37 carats of white diamonds—the stones even acted in lieu of classic palladium prongs.

This award season alone, Hudson's frosted herself in diamonds from Shay Jewelry, Garatti, Bulgari, Cartier, and Chaumet. None appeared to be personalized just for her, though. By going custom, Lopez aligned "every detail of the jewelry with the overall vision for the night," she adds. If the 2026 Actor Awards vision was Old Hollywood glamour, with a hint of Almost Famous nostalgia, Hudson, Lopez, and Wheeler hit the nail on the head.

Margot Robbie is currently in Australia for Tropfest, the world's largest short film festival, where she's serving as jury president. On Saturday, February 21, the Wuthering Heights star arrived on the red carpet wearing head-to-toe Chanel. In fact, Robbie's gown featured on the fashion house's Spring/Summer 2026 Haute Couture runway and was the perfect choice to give the Barbie actress a naked dress moment.

The centerpiece of Robbie's outfit was a totally sheer black organza dress, which featured a hemline adorned with pearls and crystals, as well as a thorny pattern surrounding the neckline. Underneath her naked dress, Robbie wore black Chanel underwear, including a bra and a pair of lingerie shorts, both delicately embroidered with a floral design.

For footwear, the actress and producer opted for a pair of black Chanel Couture Pumps, also from the Spring/Summer 2026 collection. Robbie carried a pale pink organza bag—the sheer material revealed an embroidered handwritten note inside—featuring a threaded woven chain handle.

For her outing in Australia, Robbie's jewelry included three different Chanel Coco Crush Rings, worth approximately $27,000 in total.

On February 14, the adorable couple posed together on the red carpet at Berlinale—the Berlin International Film Festival—to promote Turner's forthcoming movie, Rosebud Pruning. For the star-studded occasion, the "Houdini" singer wore a Chanel naked dress, which she paired with a rare Bulgari Serpenti necklace.

Johnson was photographed arriving at the star-studded fashion show wearing a black Calvin Klein suit, consisting of a black blazer, which was knotted at the waist, and a draped skirt. If 2010 was the year of the statement necklace, 2026 is the year of no necklace at all. At least that was the future foretold on the runways in Milan, Paris, and Copenhagen.

Fashion is in an anti-jewelry phase right now. The Spring 2026 collections suggest we'll soon wear clothing that covers our décolletage and leaves no room for a chain or choker. Even drop earrings will feel out of place. Instead, we’ll turn to fur stoles and silk scarves to satisfy our itch to accessorize. If you want sparkle, you'll get it from a top with beads sewn into the collar—a fashion BOGO: a garment and a necklace for the price of one.

The anti-jewelry trend agenda was the strongest on Prada's most recent spring runway. Co-creative directors Miuccia Prada and Raf Simmons showed smock dresses with collars pre-dotted with shiny, fringed beads and crystal-embellished dirndl-style tops. The designers forwent jewelry entirely, instead complementing looks with pastel opera gloves and plain Jane wire-rim glasses.

Mrs. Prada is widely considered a pioneer of built-in necklaces: She's been incorporating them into her freaky-chic collections since Fall 2004. The look was a hit a decade ago—remember when you topped your business casual blazers with chunky bib necklaces? Prada's impact!—and will be just as popular a decade later. (Maybe it is 2016 again...)

Designers dabbled with the anti-jewelry trend elsewhere during fashion month, presenting pieces and runway stylings that left no room for necklaces. Funnel-neck jackets curled up to the chin on Alaïa, Altuzarra, Mugler, and Khaite's Spring 2026 collections. Bottega Veneta showed intrecciato woven leather bandanas and triple-stacked shirt sandwiches that took up every inch of neck real estate.

More recently, at Copenhagen Fashion Week Fall 2026, brands like Holzweiler and The Garment asked, What if you replaced a pendant necklace with a scarf? The answer is that small, triangle-shaped scarves and long, skinny ones alike work as well as a long chain. And then there was the tiny Danish brand Forza Collective, which upped the no-jewelry ante with wind-blown neckties that defied gravity and hung out around the models' jaws.

Fashion’s no-jewelry era also helps faux fur accessories come alive. In Paris last week, minimalist brand Toteme staged a Fall 2026 runway that featured a jet-black shawl so giant, the look couldn’t even accommodate a pair of stud earrings. Matthieu Blazy also had a great idea of combining two anti-jewelry trends in one at Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2026 show: a black faux-fur scarf draped around the neck and layered over a lady jacket with shiny silver buttons that did the job of a brooch.

This isn’t to say jewelry is dead in 2026. Some of the above shows did sprinkle in a chunky necklace here and there—but even then, they weren't the star of the show. That honor went to whichever piece pulled focus at the neckline, whether it was a stiff stand-collar jacket or an ivory fur stole that made earrings a moot point.

At times, the trend cycle does feel like it’s coasting on reruns. But in 2026, designers remind us that sometimes, the easiest fashion fix comes from swapping out a familiar favorite—that paperclip chain or gold hoops you’ve worn every day for a decade—for something a little fresher.

Get an Early Start on the 2026 Anti-Jewelry Trend

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary on Monday, February 2, and the glamorous Dutch queen brought back some sentimental jewels for the occasion.

Máxima wore her diamond wedding earrings as she joined her husband for an engagement in support of Oranje Fonds, the philanthropic organization that was established to honor their 2002 royal wedding.

She accented her pear-shaped diamond drop earrings, which feature a flower-shaped stud at the top, with a new gray cape dress by Vanessa Seward x Beggxco and black knee-high boots.

Oliver Hobart, jewelry expert and creative director at wholesale jeweler 925E, tells Marie Claire that Máxima’s wedding earrings made "a quietly powerful jewelry statement" at the event.

"We often see milestone anniversaries marked not by new acquisitions, but by archival pieces," Hobart explains. "It signals confidence and emotional security. You don’t need novelty when legacy already exists."

He continues that rewearing wedding jewelry is "a deliberate return to origin—a visual reminder of commitment, continuity and personal history expressed through design."

Elaborating on the cluster-and-drop design of Máxima's earrings, Hobart says this style is "often chosen for wedding jewelry because they frame the face with light while maintaining movement."

"The upper cluster provides presence and heritage styling, while the drop adds fluidity and grace," he explains. "It’s a combination that reads as ceremonial without feeling heavy."

Even though the Dutch royals were attending a daytime charity event, the diamond drop earrings felt perfectly appropriate for the occasion.

Hobart tells Marie Claire that the design feels "refined, not ostentatious," adding, "That restraint is what makes the gesture credible. Anniversary jewelry should feel anchored, not theatrical."

Tyla is nominated for Best African Music Performance at the 2026 Grammys, making her attendance at the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Gala all but compulsory. For the annual event, the "Jump" singer wore a plunging black gown featuring some major cut-outs.

Sitting across from Bridgerton’s Claudia Jessie and Hannah Dodd, on a floral love seat in a gilded suite at the Claridge’s hotel in London, it’s immediately clear that playing sisters Eloise and Francesca on the Shonda Rhimes romance series has carried into their real-life relationship. The actors finish each other's sentences. They nudge elbows at the mention of an on-set inside joke. At one point, Dodd starts playing with a diamond dangling from Jessie’s ring, seemingly without even realizing it.

It’s the perfect environment to talk about the new Pandora and Bridgerton jewelry collection, titled Rules To Love By, that Jessie and Dodd are the faces of. Throughout season 4—part one debuts on Netflix on January 29, followed by part two on February 26—you’ll see the sisters accessorized with lilac wisteria choker necklaces, bow studs, and butterfly tennis bracelets from the capsule.

“I've never done a campaign with a brand before,” Jessie tells me, “and I don't foresee it becoming a regular thing, to be honest. But our costume designer, John Glaser, was so enthusiastic about working with Pandora to make pieces for the show. And I just really adore Hannah.”

At this, Dodd giggles. “We’re ‘accidental twins’—our fans call Francesa and Eloise that because they're born on the same day a year apart,” she says. “On the show, we rarely have scenes together, so when we’re setting up a shot, we’ll be in the background, like, ‘No, you see, I think Francesca and Eloise would be hugging at this moment?’"

The dreamy photos see Jessie and Dodd styled by Harry Lambert in empire-waist gowns, diamond chokers, and recycled silver ear cuffs encrusted with crystals. They both agree that the shoot has been a highlight of their time working with the jewelry brand.

“We mostly just held each other's hands during the shoot,” Jessie says, laughing as she remembers one particular image where the actresses hold a loving embrace. “That wasn't even a planned shot. They could have looked at us in any given moment, and we were in that pose. All of this—it’s been a real joy. Even today, doing interviews for five hours straight, I'm like, Oh, it's fine because we just get to hang out all day.”

I certainly can’t think of a better way to spend time with my bestie than by sitting in a hotel suite that looks like a Regency era recreation, sipping tea, giggling, and wearing sparkling crystals and freshwater pearls.

As for the actors' personal favorites from the Pandora and Bridgerton collection, Jessie’s partial to anything dotted with baby-blue crystal bows: “Eloise wears a lot of the bow pieces this show, so they make me think of her—and I just adore anything about Eloise.” Dodd finds the 14k gold-plated bee and freshwater pearl ring “sweet—sorry, literal, but it’s true.” (Fans of the Netflix series will know bees are a packed symbol in the show, representing—spoiler!—the death of patriarch Edmund Bridgerton, as well as buzz and gossip.)

“Deco-inspired gold jewelry makes an impact and an elegant accent," she argues. "From a brooch, chunky ring, or cuff, a bold gold piece adds warmth to looks.”

Whether you choose silver or gold (or mix the two), for maximum impact, treat the statement pieces as outfit-makers and keep the rest of the accessories simple.

Leather Cord Pendants

Leather cord pendants have an effortless, slightly ’90s grunge-cool feel to them. Finished with a charm, stone, or medallion, they can make an outfit, as seen on the runways at Michael Kors and Ralph Lauren this season.

“Leather cord pendants feel like the modern answer to statement jewelry,” says Marissa Galante Frank, Bloomingdale’s beauty and accessories fashion director. “They’re relaxed, effortlessly chic, and incredibly flattering because they lengthen your entire look.”

Sea-Inspired Baubles

Ocean motifs are trending in jewelry, and not just for summer. “A nautical nod makes waves with fish motifs, pearls, coral, beach souvenirs, and cord,” says Zhang. “I look forward to wearing sea-inspired styles year-round.” (We've already seen it happen with the popularity of Juju Vera’s viral shell necklace last spring and fall.)

Rendered in organic shapes, finished with semi-precious materials and gold or-silver plating, these tide-pool treasures feel oceans away from souvenir-shop fare.

Pinky Rings

“The pinky ring feels like a modern expression of luxury—rooted in vintage references but styled with a fresh sense of attitude,” says Frank. “Whether worn solo or stacked, it’s a subtle flex that adds personality and signals confidence without trying too hard.”

Signet rings can add edge and personalization (many can be monogrammed) to a maximalist’s stack. Meanwhile, a tiny gemstone style offers a softer counterpoint to the more masculine-leaning jewelry trend once more closely associated with Sopranos than grandmother’s pearls.

Everyday Diamonds

Zhang says one of her 2026 resolutions is to “bring a bit of sparkle to my everyday jewelry rotation” with what she calls the “everyday diamonds” trend. This translates to investment jewelry pieces such as delicate studs and stackable tennis bracelets and necklaces—the kind of wear-forever styles you put on and rarely take off, keeping for decades to come.

As a result of this shift, more accessible stones are gaining popularity. “Lab diamonds have fully entered the fine-jewelry conversation, not as an alternative, but as a first choice,” Frank argues. While you can never go wrong with classic luxury jewelry staples, she says that bezel-set pieces are her current favorite as a way to “give a bit more personality to everyday pieces.” She explains: “They have a retro foundation but feel distinctly modern right now.”

Colorful Beads

Beaded necklaces, bracelets, and earrings are getting a high-fashion upgrade, if their appearance on the Spring 2026 runways is any indication. Frank says that “color is key” with this trend: “Beads and natural stones add depth and personality, making jewelry feel expressive and personal rather than overly precious.”

They're "a great way to seasonally transition your style as the weather starts to warm up,” she continues. A candy-colored strand can brighten neutrals or dark winter layers, while a single stone pendant can add a creative flair to everyday pieces.

Don’t be afraid to stack here, either: “Layering a few strands creates an artful stack to brighten your day,” says Zhang.

Clear Jewelry

Clear, lucite pieces add shine and dimension without the heaviness. Translucent hoops, sculptural bangles, and glossy “jelly” cocktail rings are playful, look stylish when juxtaposed with minimalist looks, and add interest when set against bold color. The trick is to go oversized for maximum impact (see: the clear-bead necklace on the Bottega Veneta runway) or to choose one statement piece for an architectural edge (like the see-through cuffs at Maison Margiela and Courrèges).

King Frederik X of Denmark is marking his second anniversary as monarch alongside his wife, Queen Mary, on January 14, and two years into their reign, Australian-born Mary has proven to be a true "guardian of the royal vaults." Whether it's bringing rare historic tiaras to the public eye or sentimental earrings tied to her husband's family, Queen Mary's jewelry narrative has become "a defining element of her public identity," according to jewelry expert Oliver Hobart.

"From debuting a rose-cut diamond bandeau tiara re-imagined from an 1840 diamond belt to reviving pieces unseen in over a century, she has shown an instinct for activating history with a contemporary sensibility rather than simply wearing it," says Hobart, who serves as creative director at wholesale jeweler 925E.

One such moment was the Danish state visit to Finland in March 2025, when Queen Mary surprised fans by wearing a tiara that had previously never been seen in public. Mary chose Queen Caroline Amalies Italian tiara, a gold headband-style piece from 1820 that's inlaid with colorful cameos.

And in 2025, Queen Mary chose a pair of citrine drop earrings that belonged to Countess Danner, the morganatic wife of King Frederick VII of Denmark, while attending a museum exhibition about the late countess.

"Queen Mary’s style has a clear rhythm: structured tiaras with clean lines, heirloom brooches used with ceremony, and statement earrings that nod to Danish history", Hobart says. "The 165-year-old earrings linked to Countess Danner are a good example: an unexpected choice, but one that shows how she uses jewelry to honor local royal narratives rather than defaulting to purely ‘safe’ diamonds."

Hobart says that such occasions "reveal a queen who treats jewelry as living cultural heritage, a way to bridge royal tradition with her own nuanced, fashion-aware presence on the international stage."

"What sets Queen Mary apart, however, is her instinct for revival," Hobart says. "She is particularly adept at reintroducing archival pieces in ways that feel deliberate rather than nostalgic."

Take the Danish Rose Diamond Bandeau, a new tiara that Mary had commissioned in 2024. The striking yet simple headband design was created with diamonds from a chain belt that was made during the reign of King Christian VIII in 1840, per The Court Jeweller.
