Six months after confirming their split, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are officially settling into the Co-parenting Era, it seems.

Earlier this week, the former couple, who ended their engagement over the summer after nine years together, were spotted out together with their five-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, and Bloom's 14-year-old son Flynn, who he shares with his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr, for a family outing in London to see Paddington: The Musical.

The musical's official Instagram account shared pictures documenting Perry and Bloom's family day and the outing generated a lot of buzz from fans who were happy to see the 48-year-old actor and 41-year-old singer actively co-parenting together.

A source told People that the family outing was no surprise to those who know the former couple, who they said are "always gonna be family and put their daughter first."

Perry and Bloom have maintained a clear, family-first attitude since even the earliest day following their split. In July, shortly after they confirmed the breakup, Bloom included a family picture of himself with Perry, Daisy, and Flynn all laughing together and having what appeared to be an amazing time together on a boat as part of a photo dump post on Instagram.

"They're both super committed to keeping this family dynamic," the source told People, adding that things between Perry and Bloom have been "all amicable and pretty easy" since they called off their engagement and transitioned into co-parenting as exes.

While staying amicable and focused on what's best for their family has reportedly been easy for Perry and Bloom, the source admitted that, because of their "busy careers," which can both require quite a bit of travel, prioritizing family like they do "takes another kind of commitment."

The source insists that it's a challenge Perry and Bloom are meeting though, adding that they're "doing a great job at figuring it all out" for their Daisy's sake.

Natasha Lyonne is not interested in criticizing other women just because everyone else is doing it, thank you very much.

Speaking to Jessica M. Goldstein for a cover story for Marie Claire's new Power Issue, the Poker Face actress goes on what Goldstein calls "a surprisingly intense tangent" about the Blue Origin space mission and its all-female crew.

The mission has been widely mocked, with Katy Perry at the center of the unflattering commentary. The pop star was on board the spacecraft alongside TV presenter Gayle King, journalist Lauren Sánchez, and film producer Kerianne Flynn, as well as aerospace engineer Aisha Bowe and bioastronautics researcher Amanda Nguyễn.

"I’m not into…trending takedowns of other women," Lyonne tells Marie Claire when the subject of Perry arises. She calls said takedowns a "bloodsport."

The actress continues, "I don’t find it charming…I think all the women on that rocket were plenty accomplished, frankly. And I do think that if it had been a bunch of men, nobody would’ve said jack sh*t."

Many celebrities have expressed their dismay over Blue Origin: Emily Ratajkowski said she was "disgusted" with it; Olivia Wilde sarcastically commented on the memes the mission inspired; and Olivia Munn called the endeavor "gluttonous."

Meanwhile, Lily Allen criticized "Katy Perry and her mates all going up to space for 12 minutes," calling the whole thing "out of touch." However, the British star eventually backtracked on some of her comments, saying on her podcast, "There was actually no need for me to bring her name into it, and it was my own internalized misogyny."

The Russian Doll actress' conversation with Marie Claire takes us through some wild yet delightful twists and turns, cycling through the topics of mortality, child stardom, addiction, her latest work, and collaboration between women—as exemplified by the production company, Animal Pictures, which she co-founded with her friend Maya Rudolph.

Commenting on the work Animal has been able to put out into the world, Lyonne says, "I think when we talk about a woman stepping into her power, it does look something like this. You’ve got to get on the front lines."

The internet has always been a fertile breeding ground for wild conspiracy theories, but some go deeper into "unhinged evidence board full of red string" territory than most and find people arguing bizarrely head-scratching things, like that Katy Perry is actually JonBenét Ramsey.

The Katy = JonBenét conspiracy theory isn't new—versions of the theory have been popping up in various corners of the internet for years and trace back to 2014, when a now-deleted video titled "JonBenét Ramsey is singer Katy Perry" went viral.

According to an Entertainment Tonight report, the seven-minute video is narrated by an "unseen man named Dave Johnson" who "makes a string of claims linking the pop star with JonBenét, who was murdered in 1996."

The original Katy Perry/JonBenét Ramsey conspiracy video (dozens more have been made by others in the years since the 2014 breakdown of the theory went viral) claimed that Perry's real parents were actually John and Patsy Ramsey and that they had fake their daughter, JonBenét's, death (and, presumably, orchestrated the media circus that would surround the subsequent investigation in Boulder, Colorado) as part of an elaborate plan to allow her to become famous.

As evidence of the claim, the video's creator pointed to Perry's appearance, and in particular to the shape of the "Never Really Over" singer's eyebrows, jaw and the bridge of her nose, which the video offers as proof of the conspiracy.

These physical similarities became the basis for a new visual aid supporting the theory on Feb. 27, when an AI-generated video of JonBenét morphing into Perry went viral on Instagram, eventually even making it onto the "Firework" singer's radar and prompting her to publicly respond to the longstanding conspiracy theory.

"wait am i," Perry wrote in a Mar. 1 comment on the video, which is captioned "WAKE UP PPL" and set to an audio clip from her 2012 single "Wide Awake."

Of course, as striking as the AI-generated clip might be, the theory itself is, obviously, riddled with holes, including the fact that Perry was born in Oct. 1984, more than five years earlier than JonBenét, who was born in Aug. 1990.

While Patsy Ramsey died of cancer in 2006, John Ramsey continues to push for detectives to solve his daughter's murder and recently met with Boulder's new police chief, Steve Redfearn, to discuss the case.

"They were just open to sincerely discuss the case," the 81-year-old told NBC News in January, not long after the meeting. "I’m just very impressed with the caliber of the leadership now and that gave me great hope."

Katy Perry just revealed yet another enviable thing about living in the California neighborhood, which counts some of the most famous people in the world among its residents, including Perry and her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, Oprah Winfrey, and, of course, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

While filming her ITV concert special, Night of a Lifetime, in London this week, Perry took a moment to share some of her personal plans for the holiday season with the audience, including details about one of her and Bloom's traditions: Caroling for their California neighbors.

"We are going to be home in America and actually we are going to do something we do every year," Perry explained during the London show, according to the Daily Mail. "We rent a trolley and we dress up, and there’s lights on the trolley, and we go to all of the neighbors in my hometown and we see all of their lights."

As for the caroling part of the tradition, Perry also revealed that it includes costumes, which makes it sound like a pretty amazing little neighborhood production.

"Sometimes there is hot cocoa and I’m dressed like The Grinch and it’s going to be super fun," she added. "We go caroling. We are going to go and knock on people’s doors and do some carols."

As the Daily Mail points out, the Sussex family lives near Perry and Bloom and the two couples have even reportedly become friends in addition to being neighbors. Perry is even slated to perform at opening night of Harry's beloved Invictus Games in Vancouver in February.

Perry also opened up during the performance about another thing she and Bloom have in common with Meghan and Harry, geographically-speaking. Like Harry, Bloom is originally from the UK and, while the Sussexes rarely travel back across the pond these days, Perry revealed that she and Bloom do spend a significant amount of time in England—and she loves it there.

"I like so much about the UK I love your sense of humor, I love that it is so dark and sarcastic," she gushed to the crowd (per Daily Mail). "'I think you take family into consideration, we are here most summers with our daughter and I like that you guys have the tradition of a Sunday roast. We only do one day a year or two, Thanksgiving and Christmas."

Not that the couple, who share four-year-old daughter Daisy, seem to miss America's few designated roast dinner occasions. Given their elaborate family caroling tradition, it seems safe to assume they make it a point to stay local quite a bit during the holiday season.

So, basically, to recap the people who live near Perry—including Harry and Meghan—get treated to a free Christmas concert from one of the world's biggest pop stars every year. And she performs in holiday costumes. And rents a trolley. Truly a vision board neighborhood if there ever was one.

Stevie Nicks isn't afraid to speak her truth, so when Katy Perry asked her a question whose answer she felt was obvious, Nicks gave her a piece of her mind.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the Fleetwood Mac singer was talking about not having internet on her phone, and recalled a conversation she once had with the "Woman's World" singer.

"About 10 years ago, Katy Perry was talking to me about the internet armies of all the girl singers, and how cruel and rancid they were," Nicks explained.

"I said, 'Well, I wouldn’t know because I’m not on the internet.' She said, 'So, who are your rivals?' I just looked at her. It was my steely look. I said, 'Katy, I don’t have rivals. I have friends. All the other women singers that I know are friends. Nobody’s competing. Get off the internet and you won’t have rivals either.'"

Though the rockstar didn't say when this conversation occurred, the two women were pictured speaking at the 2014 Grammy Awards, which if my math is correct happened 10 years ago.

And by the way, à propos of nothing, 2014 is also the year Taylor Swift released "Bad Blood," which is almost certainly about Perry, so that's one potential "rival" right there (though it came out months after the Grammys). BTW, the plot thickens because Nicks reiterated how much of a massive Swiftie she is in the Rolling Stone interview.

Nicks' hilariously unfiltered answer has since made the rounds online, where everyone is seemingly cackling about what she said to Perry.

Vogue writer Keaton Bell tweeted, "there are so many incredible tidbits in this stevie nicks interview, but this katy perry story killed me," and had 50k likes at time of writing.

Meanwhile, someone else wrote, "if stevie nicks clocked me this bad i’d die," and had 175k likes at time of writing.

Katy Perry knows firsthand that making art can be therapeutic.

Many of the star's most iconic songs are essentially musical pep talks, designed to make listeners feel like they can do anything they put their mind to. But you might be surprised to hear that Perry's own state of mind didn't match these hopeful songs when she came up with them.

"I think I have these ideas and I'm constantly writing, constantly taking notes. I think it's coming—I think it's a channeling of sorts. It's coming from a different place," Perry said during a recent appearance on Apple Music's The Zane Lowe Show, while discussing the inspiration behind some of her music.

"It's coming from my highest self that maybe lives in a different dimension," she continued.

"It's like, 'Here you go.' Especially songs like 'Roar' and 'Firework' where I'm really down in the dumps, don't know if I can keep doing whatever I'm doing. It's like, well, I'll write this to help encourage myself. And then all of a sudden it encourages a generation."

The lyrics to "Roar" go "I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter / Dancing through the fire / 'Cause I am a champion, and you're gonna hear me roar," while "Firework" goes, "'Cause baby, you're a firework / Come on show 'em what you're worth / Make 'em go, 'Awe, awe, awe' / As you shoot across the sky"

In the interview, the popstar explained the ways in which her music has reflected what was going on in her life over the years.

"When I was going through One of the Boys [2008, the album that gave us "I Kissed a Girl"], which was, whoa, it was like, oh my God, hold on to this ride," Perry said.

"And then Teenage Dream [2010] and Prism [2013], my personal life was not really working. My professional life was working. And then when Witness [2017] shifted everything, it started to come more into balance and then Smile [2020] really solidified it. And now 143 [2024] is the celebration of feeling that wholeness, operating out of that wholeness, which is a space I've never written a record from."

Perry went on to explain that her life now is a much healthier breeding ground for her music to come out of.

"I've always written a record from defense or not feeling enough or trying to transmute my trauma, whatever that was, and to change it," she said. "I always say this is the biggest lie I think artists have ever been sold is that they have to stay in pain in order to create."

Teenage Dream and "Firework" were released the same year Perry married Russell Brand, while Prism and "Roar" came out the year after their divorce. Meanwhile, Witness, the album the singer cited as marking a changing point in her life, was released around the time that she and her partner Orlando Bloom were getting back together after a short breakup.

The two now share daughter Daisy Dove, 4, and co-parent Bloom's son Flynn, 13, with his ex Miranda Kerr.

Kamala Harris' run for president isn't the only thing Taylor Swift endorsed this week.

The popstar appeared to love a comment made by her frenemy (currently more friend than enemy) Katy Perry at the VMAs on Wednesday, as seen in footage shared by Bustle on Instagram.

In her speech as she accepted the Vanguard Award, Perry said among other things (via Rolling Stone), "Thank you to the friends who were there when my Jetta was repossessed, my KatyCats, who stood by for a lifetime, and the LGBTQ community who I recognize I would not be here without, and who show me that you can be both kind and c***."

In the social media video of Swift listening to that speech in the audience, the "Fortnight" singer can be seen clapping her hand on her mouth when she hears the "kind and c***" part, then turning to her friend and collaborator Jack Antonoff sitting behind her. Antonoff then points at Swift, seemingly expressing that she's a little "kind and c***" herself, with the singer enthusiastically nodding her agreement.

The two women have enjoyed a long and winding friendship over the years, with a lengthy interval when they were locked in an infamous feud that fans believe culminated in Swift's 2014 song "Bad Blood."

Though she didn't specifically name Perry at the time, Swift explained the lyrics to "Bad Blood" to Rolling Stone that same year, telling the publication about a certain female artist: "She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me."

But in 2018, the two women lay their misunderstandings to rest, and have appeared to be firmly on each other's side since.

In February, Perry attended the Eras Tour in Sydney, and posted a selfie with Swift on Instagram, captioned, "got to see an old friend shine tonight"

We did it, KatyCats: Katy Perry is the 2024 VMA Video Vanguard Award recipient. At least, she will be by the end of the night. Ahead of her performance and acceptance speech, the pop served her first look of the night on the black carpet: an abdomen-baring, club rat-coded two-piece set by Who Decides War, comprised of a bra top and skirt seemingly crafted from tattered rags. Wet-look hair and sweaty, greasy skin complemented the look. It was kind of dirty, and I think I liked it. Perry was accompanied on the carpet by her husband Orlando Bloom, clad in a black suit for contrast.

The Video Vanguard Award is the top honor an artist can receive at the ceremony. With a gold-plated moon person of her very own, Katy Perry will soon join a list of previous winners that includes Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Missy Elliott, and more, dating all the way back to 1984. The first-ever Video Vanguard Award was given to David Bowie, the Beatles, and director Richard Lester in a three-way tie of sorts. Suffice it to say, Perry is in good company.

Perry largely refrained from accessorizing, apart from sliding a chrome cuff around her arm—and a QR-code tattoo on her lower back. Matte brown eye shadow and matte peach lip balanced out the otherwise ultra-glowy look.

Tonight's appearance marks Perry's first time at the VMAs since 2017, when she cemented her place in the award show's history by doing double duty as performer and host. Perry wore nine different looks through the night, each more extravagant than the next.

First, Perry hit the blue carpet in a sculptural white column gown from Stephane Rolland.

Perry launched right into her hosting duties when she was lowered onto the stage in a holographic space suit.

After a short intermission to air Taylor Swift's new music video, Perry reappeared in a silver semi-sheer jumpsuit. For a sketch involving DJ Khaled and a baby doll, Perry pulled a blue sheath dress with purple plumage around the neck. Perry also made the crowd roar in statement gold earrings and a black sequin dress covered in gold tiger stripes.

Perry loves a good wig and naturally had to incorporate at least one into her wardrobe for the night, pairing a pin-straight bleach-blonde number with a fuchsia sequin strapless dress from Halpern. For a brief segment, Perry slipped into a shimmering strapless dress with colorful bird feathers etched into the design. Perry closed out the show in a basketball-inspired bustier worn over a white t-shirt dress with gold fringe.

Will this year's VMAs host, Megan Thee Stallion, pull out just as many looks? We'll have to watch and see.

Katy Perry is ready to be brutally honest about her 2017 breakup from Orlando Bloom.

The couple met in January 2016, at a Golden Globes afterparty, and dated for a little over a year before breaking up in February the next year. During her recent chat with Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Perry opened up about why they called it quits in 2017—and why they were really ready to rekindle their romance when they reunited the following year.

“We weren’t really in it from day one. He was because he had just done a huge time of celibacy and he had set intentions," she said, according to Page Six. "I was fresh out of a relationship, and I was like, I can’t do this anymore. I need to swim in a different pond, but I had to do a lot real work.”

Perry explained that it became clear she and Bloom were looking for different things after he attended a week-long retreat called The Hoffman Process at The Hoffman Institute in California.

“He went there, and he wasn’t playing that cat-mouse game anymore," she explained. “And I was like, ‘This is boring. I’m moving on.’ I was so used to this push-pull. Because once you have it. I was playing games."

Following the split, Perry and Bloom spent what she described as a "really tough year" apart, but reconnected after she decided to attend the Hoffman retreat herself—an experience she said gave her the "tools" she needed to be in a serious relationship.

“When Witness came out and things started to shift, and I thought I really loved myself. I thought I really loved myself, and I thought I really had that center, but actually that core was all created from outside, validation," Perry explained of the headspace she was in at that time in her life, per People. "Everything started changing, and then I went to [the Hoffman Institute] and it changed my life. It just helped me rewire how I think about myself, and it helped me connect my head to my heart."

Even though the exes hadn't gone no-contact during their year-long breakup, Perry said they only "kind of" talked during that time because Bloom "was boundaried," so she took the initiative when they eventually reunited.

"I was doing a show that was close to where he was on vacation, and I was like, ‘I’ll pop over!’" she said of reconnecting with Bloom.

More than six years after reuniting, Perry and Bloom, who got engaged in 2019 and welcomed their daughter, Daisy, in 2020, are still going strong—something she attributes to their balance as a couple.

"We all have our strengths and then our opportunities for growth. But one of his strengths [is] when I crumble, he can step in and be that anchor," she said. "That's amazing, because I'm usually just alpha, alpha, you know? I'm like testosterone, testosterone. 'I got this. I don't need any help,' but actually I do need help. I do need a partner."

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have been more hot than cold on their vacation to Saint-Tropez, on the French Riviera.

The singer shared a series of pictures and videos on Instagram from the family vacay, including a clip of the lovebirds kissing and hugging against a sunset backdrop, as Bloom's hand travels across Perry's lower back area. In the video, the singer was wearing a fitted, ankle-length floral dress, while the actor paired an oversized orange T-shirt with white pants.

The former American Idol judge also shared a picture of herself comically holding up a bunch of floaties on the beach, plus one of some cocktails, a bikini mirror selfie, and a photo of her daughter with Bloom—Daisy Dove, 3—holding up a daisy, among other summer memories from the trip.

The singer captioned her post, "WOMAN’S WORLD: sister/mother/partner/funtie/kvnty/almost 40 and FABULOUS edition" and tagged the location as "Planet Unbothered."

The post comes after Perry released her new single, "Woman's World," a couple of weeks ago, which stirred up a bunch of controversy.

The song and music video have been called outdated, and Perry has been accused of pandering to the male gaze—accusations that she responded to by sharing behind the scenes footage from filming the video in which she explains it's all "satire."

Meanwhile, Perry has also received backlash for working with Dr. Luke on the women's empowerment song, since Kesha has previously accused the producer of sexual abuse, accusations which he has categorically denied, per NPR.

Pink will just give you a reason why she's not replacing Katy Perry as a judge on American Idol anytime soon.

The "Trustfall" singer isn't interested in taking on Perry's newly vacant spot alongside Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, she told Entertainment Tonight at an event in Los Angeles on Monday.

"I don't like hurting people's feelings," Pink explained, and honestly—she's so me. She added that she's "not set up" to give criticism to aspiring musicians.

But Pink isn't opposed to the concept of Idol; she said she likes the idea of helping young singers reach their full potential, but the show is kind of just not for her. "I like my day job," she said simply, and like, fair.

The popstar has been a successful recording artist since the early 2000s, and she's not showing signs of slowing down. Her latest album, titled Trustfall, came out in 2023 and reached number one on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart. The record gave us a series of bangers, including the song "Trustfall."

Touring is a big part of Pink's career too, with the singer going back on the road for a few months starting in June.

Perry announced in February that she's stepping down from Idol after seven seasons.

Speaking to ET in April, the "Firework" singer said, "I'm just trying to make space for other things. It's not like me ending this show means I'm going to go retire on an island, even though that would be fabulous. I'm gonna go to work."

Though Perry wouldn't say what exactly she's working on, she's been teasing new music on Instagram for weeks. For example, on May 6, she skipped the Met Gala to spend time in the studio instead. Can't wait.

Katy Perry wasn't at the 2024 Met Gala, but AI—and Perry herself—would have you believe she was.

The "California Gurls" singer reposted AI pictures of herself "attending" the elite event on Sunday on Instagram.

The photos included one of Katy wearing a magnificent (fake) floral gown, and one of her in a goddess-like (fake) body armor situation, followed by a screenshot of a text conversation with her mom Mary Perry.

The singer's mother texted her, "Didn't know you went to the Met ... What a gorgeous gown, you look like the Rose Parade, you are your own float lol" alongside a picture of Katy in the floral AI gown.

The American Idol judge replied, "lol mom the AI got you too, BEWARE!"

In the rest of her post, Katy clarified why she wasn't at the event. She captioned it, "couldn’t make it to the MET, had to work" and included a video of herself in a recording studio.

One fan commented what we were all thinking: "She’s working late… CUZ SHE’S A SINGER," they said, in reference to Sabrina Carpenter's catchy AF single "Espresso."

Though Katy wasn't at the Gala this year, she's previously attended it many times before, and always makes a big impression.

Katy Perry suffered a wardrobe malfunction on American Idol, but thankfully she seemed to find it absolutely hilarious.

The "Last Friday Night" singer shared a clip from the show on Instagram, in which the top she's wearing—a futuristic breastplate made of shiny silver metal—appears to be detaching from her body in some way.

"I need my top to stay on," Perry says in the video. "If it's not fixed, this show is gonna get more than it wanted," she adds, clutching what I believe is a literal wrench.

As various people attempt to fix the problem, Perry's fellow judge Luke Bryan appears behind her with a pair of scissors and shouts, "I got it! I'm going in!" But after roughly half a second of assessing the situation, Bryan promptly gives up.

Perry then announces as she's clutching onto the breastplate for dear life, "That song broke my top off."

Both Bryan and fellow judge Lionel Richie then begin crying, "Ratings! Here we come, ratings!"

Perry says, "It's a family show," then proceeds to clutch a cushion in front of her body to protect her modesty.

She captioned the post simply, "my top broke #idol"

Some commenters made what I'm choosing to interpret as lighthearted jokes about Perry's fashion choices. "That's not a top, it's a car bumper," one person quipped.

"You know it's serious fashion when the power tools come out," pointed out someone else.

This actually isn't the first time the "I Kissed a Girl" hitmaker has suffered an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction on American Idol.

Back in 2018, Perry got on stage to dance with a contestant, but she tripped and fell over, with her dress riding up more than she might have liked. At the time, Perry once again laughed the whole thing off. You really gotta have a sense of humor if you're going to be a TV star, eh!

Katy Perry has come a long way from "Daisy Dukes, bikinis on top." The singer wore a glammed-up version of that iconic line from "California Girls" last night at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Hollywood. Instead of denim cut-offs, Perry opted for a sparkling black fish-net cover-up dress, tied together on each side by a series of red ribbon bows.

Underneath the net, she wore a basic black bikini with a triangle top and cheeky low-rise bottoms. Perry completed the look with Khaite black, thigh-high slouchy leather heeled boots and a pair of nearly opaque Acne Studios sunglasses.

2024 is all about naked dressing, and Perry is far from the first to try the trend. Translucent get-ups ruled the Vanity Fair Oscars After Party, where stars like Florence Pugh and Anitta freed the nipple in a semi-sheer Simone Rocha set and a netted see-through Fendi gown, respectively.

Perry is known for her out-there style, and has been experimenting with exposing more of herself, literally. Last month, she wore a red corset and skirt set, loosely laced down the back to expose a black thong.

Elizabeth Taylor 

Although the Hollywood starlet had a few dazzling diamonds on her ring finger over the years, it was Elizabeth Taylor's 33.19-carat diamond ring given by her then-husband Richard Burton that remains the most notable. Bought in 1968, Burton paid $305,000 for the so-called Krupp diamond, which Taylor preferred to wear on her ring finger. Technically, it wasn't an engagement ring per se, but more of a gift. However, given its extravagance in comparison to her other rings, we couldn't leave it out. After Taylor's death in 2011, the diamond was dubbed the Elizabeth Taylor Diamond and sold at auction for a staggering $8,818,500.

Kate Middleton 

In 2010, Prince William proposed to college sweetheart Kate Middleton with a 12-carat oval sapphire that's surrounded by 14 diamonds. If it looks familiar, that's because it was originally Princess Diana's, given to her in 1981 by the then-Prince Charles. Over 50 years ago, the stunning piece probably cost Charles around $47,000, but now the ring is reportedly worth over $400,000.

The now-iconic ring does, of course, come with a bit of controversy. Firstly, it was originally supposed to be given to Prince Harry's bride, not William's. Since William was ready to marry, Harry gave it up. Additionally, back in 1981, Charles presented Diana with an array of rings to choose from, but none of them were bespoke and anyone with enough money could have bought one. But this wasn't an issue for Diana, who continued to wear the ring throughout her marriage and after their divorce.

Meghan Markle 

Meghan Markle's engagement ring from Prince Harry also has ties to the late Princess Diana. Back in 2017, Prince Harry proposed to the former Suits star with a three-stone ring, designed by Harry himself and full of sentimental meaning. The large center diamond comes from Botswana, where the couple spent time together at the beginning of their relationship, while the two side diamonds come from Princess Diana's personal jewelry collection. Two years after her proposal, Meghan redesigned the original gold band in favor of a micro-pavé band.

Taylor Swift

It was the Instagram heard 'round the world: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement in August 2025 with a joint post captioned, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married." The carousel images gave us a closer look at the old mine brilliant-cut diamond Artifex Fineengagement ring the Kansas City Chiefs tight end proposed with. It was later revealed that he actually had a hand in the design, so that there were two tiny "Ts" carved on the band. Experts interviewed by Marie Claire estimated Swift's ring to have cost "between $750,000 and $1,000,000."

Zendaya

Zendaya revealed her engagement to Tom Holland in the most casually glamorous way: by debuting a ring on that finger on the red carpet. She arrived to the 2025 Golden Globes in January wearing a Louis Vuitton gown and a 5-carat East-West set, emerald-cut diamond engagement ring later revealed to have been designed by Jessica McCormack. A similar style is listed on the brand's website—though the price is only available by request.

Hailey Bieber 

Beliebers everywhere were sad to see Hailey Baldwin step out with an enormous rock on her ring finger during the summer of 2018. Justin Bieber popped the question to the model with a six to 10-carat oval-shaped diamond set in a simple gold band. Bieber custom-designed the piece himself, and it reportedly cost him at least $250,000. They married legally later that year, and hosted a wedding celebration in 2019.

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra married Nick Jonas in December 2018, less than a year after the singer proposed with a custom cushion-cut diamond ring with tapered baguettes from Tiffany & Co. The actor joked to People that she gently guided her now-husband towards the iconic jeweler: “I just knew it since I was a kid. First, it was Breakfast at Tiffany’s that did it for every girl in the world and then, of course, Sweet Home Alabama came and put a stamp on it that it has to be Tiffany!”

Jennifer Lawrence

Longtime Dior brand ambassador Jennifer Lawrence arrived at the brand's Fall 2019 Paris Fashion Week show in February 2019 wearing a new accessory we wouldn't see on the runway: an emerald-cut diamond engagement ring set on a platinum band, designed by Alison Lou. The Oscar winner married art dealer Cooke Maroney that fall.

Serena Williams

Alexis Ohanian proposed to Serena Williams with a 17-carat three-stone diamond engagement ring estimated to be worth $3 million in 2016. In an interview with Forbes, the Reddit co-founder said he used his $50 million earnings from being an early investor in cryptocurrency to pay for it. Appropriately, the couple announced their engagement on Reddit. They got married in 2017.

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga has said fans have Michael Polansky to thank for her return to a pop sound. We can also thank him for the engagement ring inspiration he gave the public after proposing to Gaga in 2024, with a custom oval-cut diamond ring from Sofia Jewelry. According to the brand, it features a 18-karat white and rose gold pink ombré pavé diamond band.

Selena Gomez

Benny Blanco worked with Katherine Theofilos Claster and Stephanie Theofilos of Abril Barret to create Selena Gomez's unique engagement ring, which she revealed on Instagram in December 2024. It boasts a solitaire marquise-cut diamond in a cathedral setting with an oversized brilliant-cut eternity band, according to Page Six. Its retro-glamour matched the vibe of her Ralph Lauren wedding wardrobe perfectly.

Ciara

Russell Wilson proposed to Ciara in 2016 with an engagement ring boasting a cushion-cut diamond believed to come in at 16 (!) carats. They married later that year, and she added a double diamond band to complete her stack.

Sofia Richie Grainge

We couldn't stop talking about Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge's spring 2023 wedding here at MC. From her low-key wedding makeup down to her gorgeous diamond, we're obsessed. Speaking of the ring, it's about as classic as it gets. "It features an emerald-cut center diamond, approximately six carats on a thin platinum band. Since the ring is set in platinum, a naturally white metal, the diamond sparkles even brighter! I would estimate this ring costs $300,000," Jenny Luker, president of Platinum Guild International USA, previously told Marie Claire.

Hailee Steinfeld

Hailee Steinfeld hasn't shared many details about her engagement ring from now-husband Josh Allen. From images, we know it's a cathedral-set round center diamond on a diamond pavé band. The Buffalo Bills quarterback proposed to the actor in November 2024, and the couple married the following May.

Elsa Hosk

Model and designer Elsa Hosk got engaged to longtime partner Tom Daly in September with a ring from Tiffany & Co.—specifically, the Soleste, which features an oval diamond at the center surrounded by small brilliant diamonds on a diamond platinum band. She debuted the sparkler during New York Fashion Week.

Jessica Biel 

Surely Justin Timberlake did not disappoint when he got down on one knee with this stunner. Jessica Biel's intricate, vintage-inspired ring features a six-carat square-cut center diamond complete with two halos of smaller stones. The band is just as impressive as the center, with two aquamarine stones and even more diamonds. To top off this incredible ring, it's all set in blackened platinum, which gives it even more of an antique feel.

Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa confirmed she's engaged to Callum Turner in an interview with British Vogue from June, finally putting to rest rumors surrounding the new addition to her jewelry stack spotted on her ring finger. Lipa's engagement ring features a solitaire diamond embedded into a gold cigar band.

Gabbriette

Gabbriette's engagement ring from The 1975's Matty Healy is certainly striking, with a large black diamond at the center encircled by smaller white diamonds. How very Carrie Bradshaw!

Lily Collins

In September 2020, Lily Collins announced she was engaged to filmmaker Charlie McDowell, posting an image of her custom rose-cut diamond engagement ring by Irene Neneuwirth. They married a year later. Her ring and wedding band were sadly reported as stolen in 2023, but she has started wearing a new diamond on that finger, suggesting she found a replacement.

Jennifer Lopez

Over the years, Jennifer Lopez has had quite a few dazzlers on her ring finger (which we compared for your viewing pleasure). If we had to pick a favorite, it would be the engagement ring Ben Affleck proposed with in 2022. It featured an eight-and-a-half-carat green diamond flanked by two trapezoid-shaped diamonds, reportedly worth a staggering $5 to 7 million thanks to the green stone's rarity, per Bloomberg.

"Why green?" You might ask. "I always say the color green is my lucky color,” Lopez wrote in her newsletter, On The JLo. “Maybe you can remember a certain green dress. I’ve realized there are many moments in my life when amazing things happened when I was wearing green.”

When Affleck originally proposed to Lopez in 2002, he did so with a 6-carat pink diamond Harry Winston ring, which was worth $1.2 million at the time. The couple finally wed in the summer of 2022, but sadly filed for divorced two years later.

Ariana Grande 

Ariana Grande was given a massive two-stone ring by Los Angeles-based real estate agent Dalton Gomez, made all the sweeter by the sentimental meaning behind it: The oval-shaped diamond is believed to be around five to six carats with an estimated worth of $150,000-$200,000. The real beauty of the ring, though, comes from the ring's small pearl. Fans believe it's a pearl taken from her late grandfather's tie-pin and incorporated into her ring, making it an incredibly sweet family heirloom. The couple quietly married in 2021, separated in 2023, and finalized their divorce the following year.

Kim Kardashian

Alongside a jumbotron and a 50-piece orchestra at San Francisco's AT&T Park, Kanye West proposed to Kim Kardashian with a 15-carat diamond ring from Lorraine Schwartz in 2013. Then just three years later, Kardashian revealed in a chat with Andy Cohen was given a major surprise in the middle of the night: a new, 20-carat ring. Sadly, Kardashian's ring, along with other jewelry pieces with a combined value of $10 million, was stolen in her Paris robbery in 2016. Kardashian filed for divorce from West in 2021.

Megan Fox 

When Machine Gun Kelly proposed to Megan Fox in early 2022, he certainly chose a ring that suits her glamorous style. Although the stunning diamond and emerald ring appears to be just one piece, the rapper actually designed it to be two separate pieces with a special connection. "I know tradition is one ring, but I designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love," he wrote on Instagram. He also revealed that the two bands are actually thorns so that if Fox takes it off, it'll hurt. How fitting.

Emily Ratajkowski 

In 2018, Emily Ratajkowski tied the knot with producer Sebastian Bear-McClard during a private courthouse ceremony (in a mustard-yellow Zara suit, mind you). At the time, the model only sported a simple gold band, but a few months later she was given a stunning Toi et Moi-style ring. The dazzling piece features a two-carat princess-cut diamond and a three-carat pear-shaped diamond on a simple gold band. Although the couple divorced in 2022, Ratajkowski said on her "High Low" podcast that she kept the ring, per Page Six.

Katy Perry

As someone who's worn a cupcake bra and a hamburger costume to the Met Gala, Katy Perry's engagement ring should reflect her unique style. Thankfully though, Orlando Bloom rose to the challenge: On Valentine's Day 2019, the actor popped the question with a cluster-style ring (similar to Princess Diana's) complete with a pink center stone surrounded by eight diamonds. The large pink gem has not been confirmed, but it could be a ruby, pink diamond, or pink sapphire, which could drastically change its value. If the stone is a ruby, it could cost between $25,000 and $50,000, but if it were a diamond, it could carry a price tag upwards of $5 million, per Harpers Bazaar. No matter its value, it's still gorgeous.

The Super Bowl may be TV's biggest day of the year, but the Halftime Show is the true main event. Since stars like Michael Jackson and Britney Spears ushered in the era of megastar performances, the Super Bowl Halftime Show has been truly can't-miss television, where music's biggest stars deliver a one-of-a-kind, sensational performance of their biggest hits.

Anyone who can stand for around 70 seconds completely silent and still have people cheering for them is only the stuff of legend. Jackson's performance is said to have been watched by 133.4 million viewers, with more people tuning in to watch it than the actual first quarter of the game. It's what people look to as the start of star-studded NFL halftime shows.

Diana Ross, 1996

I have yet to see a more dramatic exit than Ms. Ross exiting in a helicopter to her song, "Take Me Higher." It's just so iconic. The show had four costume changes, dancers spelling out her name, and just everything you would want from a Super Bowl performance from the '90s.

The Blues Brothers, 1997

Because the '90s were a magical time when fictional bands could play the biggest televised concert of the year.

Gloria Estefan, 1999

Gloria Estefan is a Cuban Queen who owns every performance. When Stevie Wonder joined her, she made everybody want to party Miami-style.

*NSYNC, Aerosmith, and Britney Spears, 2001

Nothing has ever screamed, "2001, more than this lineup but it is also why it's one of the most memorable Super Bowl performances. From the leather pants of *NSYNC to Steven Tyler's highlighted bangs, I want what this performance has. Plus, it closes with Britney Spears in an outfit that would put all Instagram models to shame. Unforgettable.

Shania Twain, No Doubt, and Sting, 2003 

This performance left us feeling "hella good." Gwen Stefani also gave us some arm workout inspo for life. Also, Shania Twain made everyone really go wild.

Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake, 2004

No list of halftime shows can exist without mentioning this performance. Justin Timberlake turned his words into actions when he sang, "I'm gonna have you naked by the end of this song," and then proceeded to pull off a part of Janet Jackson's costume, exposing her right breast. Though she was partially covered, it remains one of the most talked-about performances of all time. (It even inspired the creation of YouTube.)

Prince, 2007

It started pouring as soon as Prince sang "Purple Rain"—which should immediately bring on the tears. (And if you don't immediately sob, watch it again!) It's said that when the Purple One was told it might rain during his performance, he replied, "Can you make it rain harder?"

Madonna, 2012

This performance was an event, with the halftime show racking up almost 3 million more viewers than the game itself. As 114 million people watched Madonna get down in custom looks from Givenchy, you couldn't help but admire how she still had the moves years later.

Beyoncé and Destiny's Child, 2013

We got Destiny's Child back together for a couple of minutes from this performance, and it was pure bliss. I will never forget where I was when I heard Queen B utter the words, "Kelly, Michelle, you want to help me sing this one?" as the beginning chords of "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" started to play.

Bruno Mars, 2014

Bruno Mars was made to perform at Super Bowls. His energy was so high, it made the game look like it was happening in slow motion.

Katy Perry, 2015

Maybe all you think about when you recall Katy Perry's performance is a dancing shark that stole the show during "Teenage Dream." I'll admit that comes to mind too, but I will never forget that all four of her outfits were accompanied by a matching microphone. Cute!

Beyoncé, 2016

Coldplay might have been the headliner this year, but when Beyoncé and her dancers rolled out in formation, it was obvious that was the only thing we'd be talking about the next day/week/month.

Lady Gaga, 2017

Lady Gaga shut it down at the 2017 Super Bowl—performing an epic halftime show when the Falcons and Patriots faced off last year. She made a bold political statement with a powerful mashup of her biggest songs—from "Born This Way" to "Bad Romance" to "Million Reasons."

Jennifer Lopez and Shakira, 2020

Amid a turbulent election year, Shakira and Jennifer Lopez made a bold political statement during their Super Bowl performance. Their spectacular set contained allusions to family separation policies and Puerto Rico, as well as a remix of Bruce Springsteen's "Born In The USA." It was powerful, potent, and compelling.

Rihanna, 2023

The Navy spent years hoping Rihanna would return to the stage following the release of 2016's Anti, and Ms. Fenty fully delivered on all that anticipation. Her jaw-dropping performance, in which she touched on her entire discography in an incredible Loewe jumpsuit before revealing her second pregnancy, is the 2nd most-watched halftime show of all time.

Usher, 2024

Shockingly, it took until 2024 for Usher to get his Super Bowl headliner moment, which is now the most-watched halftime show ever. Mr. Entertainment turned his set into a celebration of Black culture, filled with collaborators over his 30-year career—Alicia Keys! H.E.R.! Lil Jon and Ludacris!—and Las Vegas flair, fit with Cirque du Soleil acrobatics and roller skates, following his residency.

Hillary Clinton just shattered the glass ceiling by accepting the democratic presidential nomination, and Katy Perry was there to celebrate with a live performance of "Rise." And, like an insanely faithful labradoodle following her every move with unbridled enthusiasm, Orlando Bloom was right by her side.

The retired Lord of the Rings elf/professional heartthrob filmed his girlfriend's performance from the audience, and it was quite possibly the sweetest thing ever.

Katy Perry is number one y'all. Yep, she just surpassed Taylor Swift as the highest paid woman in music. According to Forbes, the pop star makes $2 million per city she plays in, and—thanks in part to her Prismatic World Tour—raked in an estimated $135 million between June 2014 and June 2015.

As for Tay, she came in second on Forbes' list ($80 million to Katy's $135), and despite potential bad blood between the two stars, what's important here is that two women are making almost as much as their male counterparts. While Forbes won't announce the earnings of male musicians until December, they say female earnings were "competitive." 🙏

Swift and Perry probably wont frequent the same squad anytime soon, but closing the wage gap is a pretty good thing to have in common.

While Kylie Jenner dabbles in wigs and extensions to distance herself from the real Kylie Jenner, Katy Perry, casual Iowa rally attendee, has a far simpler explanation for her own experiments in fanciful hair color: You don't have to wear as much jewelry!

"I'm naturally the most boring dishwater squirrel brown," she said in the November issue of Glamour. "So I've been playing with colors since I was 15. I loved the grunge green, and shocking blue was fun. Colored hair is such a huge accessory that you don't even need to add extra stuff."

In the same interview, she shows complete disregard for the state of her gel-manicured nails, recommends contour powder to "take care of your [facial] undercarriage," and uses the word "f*ckboy," probably a first for any magazine of our type.

"If your teeth and nails are good, you're a candidate," she said of her aesthetic requirements for a potential mate. "If you can't clean under your nails and you want to touch me, forget it. And personally, the less hair, the better. I like a trimmed man but not completely waxed. I'm not into that f*ckboy look."
