I've long been a Tokyo superfan, but her co-sign is proof that I need to expand my horizons.

Marking her first paparazzi pic since the 2026 Met Gala, Jenner kept it casual while out for breakfast in West Hollywood. I always go to Daisy Edgar-Jones for trench coat outfit inspiration. At this point, they're the backbone of her London-girl capsule wardrobe—and her styling hacks keep them fresh for us both. On May 5, Edgar-Jones taught me that layering a sweater on top of my trench is the chicest spring substitute for a triangle scarf.

Interlacing each arm offered as much charm as the triangle scarf trend, but with bulkier yarn. It draped delicately across her neck and gave her hair the "Olsen twin tuck" treatment.

Trenches and sweaters seem to be the season-defying trend sweeping cool-girl closets. In February, Kendall Jenner arrived at Paris Fashion Week with an almost-identical Burberry trench and a navy sweater over her shoulders. Look around New York or London street style, and you'll see the same styling hack at play.

Less than 24 hours before Kendall Jenner stepped her stiletto-clad foot on the 2026 Met Gala red carpet, she went to a pre-ball party in a vintage Mugler Little Black Dress. Naturally, the look from the brand’s Fall ‘93 collection, fit with bow accents, a plunging neckline, and an asymmetric leg slit, begged the question: Was it a teaser for what Jenner would wear the following day? Or a red—in this case, black—herring to throw fans of the reality star-slash-supermodel off the scent?

Turns out, it was just a very chic LBD, unrelated to the statuesque custom GapStudio by Zac Posen gown Jenner ended up wearing to the 2026 Met Gala. Styled by long-time fashion collaborator Dani Michelle, Jenner's look was a head-on reference to this year’s “Fashion Is Art” dress code head-on.

Speaking with Vogue on the carpet, Posen revealed that "[Kendall] wanted to be the Winged Victory of Samothrace," referencing a Hellenistic Greek sculpture of goddess Nike that's currently on display in the Louvre Museum. The designer used an assortment of Gap T-shirts—yes, just like the ones in your PJ bin—to mimic wet marble and the motion of flight on Jenner's dress. Posen also shared that the original sculpture has wings, "so there might be a surprise inside," alluding to a wardrobe change or transformation to later take place.

Similar to sister Kylie's nearly naked sculptural Schiaparelli gown, Jenner's 2026 Met Gala red carpet look featured a nude-illusion bodice peeking out from the T-shirt top layer. Not to mention the bodice created a very tasteful, purposeful nip slip, a feat of fashion only the supermodel could make look natural.

Also worth shouting out were Jenner's Buccellati jewelry, particularly the white-and-yellow-gold pendant necklace embellished with pearls and diamonds, which she wore backward.

The model has attended the Met Gala 11 times and, canonically speaking, is an MVP of Met steps. At last year’s ball, which followed a “Tailored for You” dress code and honored the Costume Institute’s exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” Jenner wore a skirt suit by emerging designer Torishéju Dumi. With a nipped-in waist, plunging neckline, and mermaid flare on the maxi skirt, her look was impeccably tailored and simple with a sultry slant—a balance that’s come to define Jenner’s less-is-more style.

But Jenner has no qualms with leaving her aesthetic comfort zone when need be. On the 2024 Met Gala red carpet, she wore a nearly naked dress by Alexander McQueen for Givenchy’s Fall 1999 Haute Couture collection. Constructed of nude and black tulle and covered with more than 100,000 black and brass beads and sequins, which were hand-embroidered over 500 hours, the gown was bolder and more elaborate than the minimalist-leaning piece she typically wears.

Adding to the statement was the fact that Jenner was the first person to ever wear the gown, since the collection was originally presented on mannequins and never shown on the runway. Given the dress’s backstory and its long time collecting dust in Givenchy’s archive, it was a perfect choice for the evening’s “Sleeping Beauties” theme.

In its sculptural magnificence, and with an assist from Posen, Jenner’s custom GapStudio red carpet dress is yet another example as to why she’s well earned her title as one of the Met Gala’s best dressed. Plus, she deserves bonus points for her pre-Gala teaser outfit from the day before—the duality of woman!

To make up for yesterday's Instagram Stories mirror pic—which made her The Row Stella Python Slippers extra tricky to ID—Jenner separated her skirt's hem and shoes by a good three feet. That way, I could appreciate and copy every element of the Jenner-led high-vamp flats trend.

Similar to her beloved The Row Eve Slippers, each curved, black toebox featured "a glove-like construction and an extended upper," to quote Marie Claire's fashion editor Lauren Tappan. The vamps stretched as far down her feet as regular loafers, minus the suspended tongues. After zooming in, I noticed another element set these high-vamp flats apart from their The Row predecessors. A glossy pinstriped (or dare I say, croc-embossed?) sheen appeared to decorate every visible exterior.

You (and I) heard it here, folks: Jenner plans to broaden the high-vamp flats trend far beyond her original black leather pair. The day prior, she debuted a brand-new color and texture with The Row's sold-out snakeskin slippers in beige. Like her Milan Fashion Week calendar, Jenner's next high-vamp flats are impossible to predict. The good news is, her shoe rack is nowhere near full.

The Jenner-led high-vamps trend is no stranger to Milan Fashion Week. Similar styles became a staple on the Spring 2026 street style scene last September. Typical ballet flats cover just the wearer's toes, but as the week went on, vamps stretched further and further toward the ankles.

Jenner hasn't attended (or walked) a runway show in Milan since Bottega Veneta's Spring 2025 show in Sept. 2024. However, it seems she kept tabs on flats-wearing insiders last season, waiting for the moment she could follow suit.

Knowing Jenner, she and her signature Spring 2026 shoe trend have RSVP'd "yes" to a runway show or two this week. Don't be surprised if the flats join her in the front row—or better yet, on an actual Milan Fashion Week runway. In the meantime, my edit of elegant, high-vamp flats below. 2026 is officially the new 2016, down to the cigarette jeans, chokers, and army green bomber jackets. On February 20, Kendall Jenner championed the return of another circa-2016 staple: Adidas Superstar sneakers. Below, reacquaint yourself with the anti-Sambas intercepting Jenner's commitment to the high-vamp flats trend.

Ten days after her last street style sighting—dressed in straight-leg jeans, The Row flats, and a vintage fur-trimmed jacket—Jenner rejoined the mix looking every bit her 20-year-old self in a vintage track jacket from Adidas. Today's Jenner might've stacked a black tee and slim jeans underneath. Instead, it seems she asked herself, "What would 2016 Jenner do?" and coupled a white bralette with matching wide-leg Adanola joggers. Folding over the elasticized waistband made them even more low-rise. Adidas Superstars were the cherry on top of Jenner's sporty look.

The circa-1969, $100 low-top sneakers come in almost 30 colors; the supermodel chose perhaps the most versatile black option. Superstar's signature rubber shell decorated each rounded toe, just as the once-basketball model did decades ago. Smooth leather shaped the rest, including padded tongues and a trio of white stripes atop each sidewall. If it wasn't for the 1.05" rubber platform soles—and the rubber toeboxes—the Superstars would be almost identical to Sambas, which Jenner owns in the same color combination.

2025 was a big year for Adidas Superstar sneakers—their buzziest one in a while. Everyone from Taylor Swift and Olivia Dean to Tate McRae and Jennie Kim added the classics to their shoe rack. Jenner, on the other hand, is reuniting with the silhouette after a multi-year hiatus. After joining her closet in late 2015, Adidas Superstars—in white with black stripes—became Jenner's signature shoe of 2016. Her Superstar-clad selects of choice? Ripped jeans and a leather moto jacket, of course. Both, unfortunately, stayed in Jenner's archives on Feb. 20.

Adidas Superstars were the 2016 equivalent to Adidas Sambas in 2026: It girls couldn't get enough of them. Gigi Hadid, Kylie Jenner, Kristen Stewart, and Hailey Bieber pledged loyalty to the rubber-toe shoes. If Jenner is truly intent on reviving 2016 fashion, she'll put the Adidas sneakers back on her friend group's radar. Come on, Hadid, it's been a decade since your Superstars have seen the light of day.

Greetings from the start of New York Fashion Week, where my list of styling tips and It pieces to try is growing by the minute. Ralph Lauren advocated for stacking corsets over turtlenecks and an equestrian boot comeback; ’90s scrunchies paired to pencil skirts ruled Marc Jacobs; Sandy Liang reinvented the slipper shoes trend for maximum coziness; and Tory Burch's Fall runway came with at least three bags I expect to see on cool girls’ arms by September. Through it all, I’ve been pounding the pavement between shows with the help of an It girl swap for classic ballerinas: the high-vamp flats trend. Trust me when I say this is an extremely versatile—and surprisingly comfortable—shoe on the rise in street style.

Once Marie Claire fashion editor Lauren Tappan highlighted high-vamp flats in a recent story, I couldn’t stop noticing them. Gigi Hadid slips into her Mansur Gavriel pair between modeling gigs, while Kendall Jenner takes The Row’s out to dinner even more often than her sister, Kylie. Harry Styles even wore a version onstage at the Grammys this month. (He chose a bow-topped pair by Dior, of course.)

Since this shoe trend is defined by the shape—a high-on-the-foot rise that our editors have started calling a “turtleneck flat”—there’s no limit on the colors, patterns, and price points to shop it. The metallic leather below is high on my wish list. But I’m already styling a more low-key romantic pair…

How I Style It

Comfort is my head-to-toe priority when I’m reporting from New York Fashion Week. I didn’t want to be too neutral with my COS sweatshirt, extra-wide Madewell trousers, and scarf coat, so I added Margaux’s high-vamp flats. Any time I glanced down at the dusty rose shade, I smiled: for the pop of color, and for the padded footbed that felt sooo good even after a long day on my feet.

I’m also a little in love with how this high-rise shoe looks with a contrasting sock underneath. So for my NYFW-approved take on a Valentine’s Day outfit, I’ll stack red socks under my black flats—before stacking on the rest of my favorite elevated basics for the shows.

If a celebrity wishes to go incognito in Hollywood, it's best they leave any and all status symbols at home. I'm talking Christian Louboutins (red bottoms are a telltale tip-off), Cartier jewelry, and perhaps the ultimate bat signal: Hermès Birkins. On February 10, Kylie Jenner's Himalayan Birkin quite literally projected light into the night sky, immediately giving away her identity.

Kylie and Kendall Jenner scored a reservation at Sushi Park in West Hollywood on Tuesday, though it doesn't seem they coordinated via text beforehand. Each sister channeled different ends of the luxury style spectrum: Kendall with the understated high-vamp flats trend, and Kylie with her closet's most expensive Birkin.

The youngest Jenner arrived in a khaki trench coat, black leather trousers, and a matching baseball cap, all of which would've blended in with the L.A. cool-girl crowd. But the Khy founder's Hermès Himalayan threw all hopes of lying low out the window. It was Jenner's first time dusting off the top-handle tote's iconic Niloticus crocodile leather since Nov. 2022. (That we've seen, anyway.)

The Birkin 35's gray and white gradient make it "one of the most coveted Hermès bags in existence," according to Sotheby's, "both with and without diamonds." The palladium hardware on Jenner's Birkin boasted over 10 carats atop the clasp, touret, and padlock, likely spiking it to six-figure status.

Himalayan Birkins belonging to Kim Kardashian, Victoria Beckham, and Jennifer Lopez also feature diamond-encrusted closures. However, theirs get a lot more street time than Jenner's. Each version likely cost the star upwards of $200,000, but the sky's the limit. A Birkin 35 nearly identical to Jenner's just sold for $550,000.

Even before Jean-Paul Gaultier sent a Himalayan Birkin down the Hermès Spring 2010 runway, it was the collector's item among very important clients. Beckham was one of the first to dress it down on the 2009 street style scene. Meanwhile, Kardashian and Lopez carry their Himalayan Birkins to the airport, on errand runs, and even to the doctor's office.

Jenner follows Beckham's approach to Birkin styling: It's a special occasions bag. Since joining her closet in Jan. 2020, its appearances have been rare. Turns out, Kendall owns a rarely-seen Himalayan Birkin, too. (It's been in retirement since 2017.) Perhaps the sisters can influence each other to revive their Hermès Himalayan eras. If they can't, who can?

Marie Claire editors assumed Kendall Jenner and her beloved high-vamp flats trend would be en route to New York Fashion Week by February 10. Instead, the dynamic duo stayed put in L.A., where Jenner originally styled the silhouette to It-shoe status. Even so, that's not to say she didn't look fashion week-ready.

Some 2,500 miles West of Ralph Lauren's Fall 2026 show (Fashion Month's unofficial kickoff), Jenner grabbed dinner at Sushi Park with her sister, Kylie Jenner. The older Jenner employed her fail-safe outfit formula for winter: a statement jacket, straight-leg jeans, and the high-vamp ballet flat trend. A vintage, faux fur-trimmed jacket from Japanese brand L'est Rose completely covered her top.

The jacket's '90s-inspired color palette was made to be worn with dark-wash denim. Jenner's $950 The Row pair for dinner matched the indigo shade of close friend Hailey Bieber's Gap jeans. However, 2026's twist on straight-leg jeans—a denim trend already approved by Rihanna, Amal Clooney, and Dua Lipa—replaced Bieber's baggy, low-rise legs. Each anti-skinny hem stretched just far enough, as to not hide Jenner's favorite high-vamp flats.

Days after Marie Claire's Lauren Tappan identified flats with extended uppers all over the Spring 2026 runways, Jenner proved why they're "a timely alternative to a classic." The Row's $890 Eva Slippers—and their elongated toe boxes—fit the ballet-inspired bill with ease.

She's been wearing high-vamp The Rows ballet flats since May 2025; a full five months before Jil Sander and Toteme flaunted similar Spring 2026 styles. Just last Friday, Jenner revived the same best-selling pair, this time alongside unseasonal white jeans, a khaki trench coat, and the Lilou Woven Shoulder bag, all from The Row's catalog.

At this rate, Jenner could influence creative directors Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen to introduce another "turtleneck flat" come Paris Fashion Week. (You can thank Marie Claire editor-in-chief Nikki Ogunnaike for that cheeky term.)

High-vamp flats weren't the only familiar feature in Jenner's off-duty outfit. The moody floral motif atop her L'est Rose jacket mirrored brocade botanicals in the Ralph Lauren Fall 2026 show. Halfway through the 59-look presentation, brown skirts, sweaters, and trousers evoked the same grandma-chic charm as yesteryear's carpet bags. As stated in the show notes, the new Ralph Lauren woman "honors heritage while embracing reinvention." Jenner wasted no time following Lauren's lead, albeit across the country.

Between her high-vamp flats and her coat's floral embroidery, Jenner is the It girl to copy for current runway-inspired trends. Fingers crossed they join the model during at least one fashion week. My bet's on a street style look outside the Khaite Fall 2026 show come Saturday. (She had a starring role on the label's last runway, after all.)

On Saturday, February 7, Jenner was photographed arriving at the 2026 Fanatics Super Bowl Party at Pier 48 in San Francisco, California. For the occasion, the model borrowed Bella Hadid's winter capri pants, which she decided to pair with the track jacket trend.

Hadid recently made it clear that capri pants work year-round, and Jenner seems to agree. Her fitted black capri pants created a sleek silhouette, especially as they were paired with one of Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber's favorite shoe styles: heeled thong flip-flops.

As for the 818 Tequila founder's take on the track jacket trend, she opted for a baggy bone-hued jacket, featuring a funnel neck, which she zipped to the top. A pair of sunglasses completed Jenner's casual party look.

This isn't the first time Jenner has reached for her best friend Bieber's favored footwear. While vacationing in Saint-Tropez with Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet in July 2025, Kendall opted for a heeled pair of V-shaped thong flip-flops, too.

It seems as though winter isn't really a barrier when it comes to Jenner's style, and any summer clothing or footwear item remains fair game.

During an outing in Los Angeles on Friday, February 6, the model wore the burgeoning high-vamp ballet flat style—The Row's Eva Slipper in Black Leather, to be precise. Marie Claire's fashion editor, Lauren Tappan, recently highlighted the anticipated high-vamp trend, sharing, "Defined by a glove-like construction and an extended upper, high-vamp flats sautéd onto the style scene a few seasons ago, but made their most compelling case during the Spring 2026 fashion week circuit."

The 818 Tequila founder styled her high-vamp ballet flats with crisp white pants, and joined Kaia Gerber in signaling the return of the classic trench coat this spring.

As for accessories, Jenner confirmed that she's carrying 2025's celeb-beloved woven bag trend into 2026 with her. The reality star opted for her favorite $3,350 Lilou Woven Leather Shoulder Bag in Black from The Row. Jenner also wore Maison Magdalena's sold-out Brisa Scarf, which is constructed from virgin wool and cashmere, along with her prized Cartier Baignoire Gold Watch.

Greetings from snowy Denmark! It’s Halie, back to writing The A-List Edit after a packed week of Copenhagen Fashion Week runways. Diving back into the international style circuit felt like the right time to test a layering technique I see well-dressed Danes wearing every time I visit—and that I’ve noticed stateside A-listers warming up to once again. Brace yourselves: Dresses and skirts layered over pants are very much back. But trust me, you can pull them off.

I know this will trigger memories of cringy, early-aughts Disney Channel red carpets for my fellow millennials. Fear not. The 2026 way to double up on lower layers isn’t taking notes from 2006.

These days, Anne Hathaway, Kendall Jenner, and Jennifer Lawrence are instead trying Scandi-inspired sets that combine longer, fluid skirts, hitting at about the knee, with a coordinating trouser. Kaia Gerber has used several Los Angeles pap walks expressly for modeling pants with a skirt sewn into the waistband.

The key, reaffirmed by nearly every runway show I’ve watched this week (and more), is sticking to similar color stories for the skirt and trousers—and not going too overboard with the rest of your styling. On top, all you really need is a coordinating crewneck sweater (for winter, like Hathaway’s) or a plain tee (like Lawrence’s, for spring and summer). Celebs tend to mix and match their own pieces, but a lot of designers jumping on the trend have done the layering for us already.

How I Style It

I checked into my fashion week HQ (1Hotel Copenhagen—very close to the city’s best vintage, for my fellow shopaholics-slash-travelers) with a single objective: pull off this trend like a local (or a recent celebrity convert). As a skirt-over-pants novice, I went for a hybrid option from COS that stacked my separates for me. All I had to do was choose a complementary sweater and shoes that would stand out in the slush.

It’s a little bit of extra fabric, but it’s so much more interesting than plain pants. A guest making her way to the elevator while I was snapping photos said she wanted a pair, so it's safe to say this look works. Once I started dashing between shows, I added an oversize faux fur coat and a knitted balaclava: two street style staples in this part of the fashion world.

When I get home, I’m planning to double-dip for New York Fashion Week—this time by stacking one of my favorite pleated skirts over a wide-leg trouser like the ones below. I think my counterparts from LA to Copenhagen would approve.

Two trending animal prints are battling to be king of the jungle (read: street style scene) right now: leopard and tiger. On January 28, the popular 2026 patterns clashed again at the hands of Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber. While tiger-print Chanel preyed on Jenner's late-night style, Bieber held down the leopard-print fort with matching accessories.

Around the time Jenner's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon interview aired, Bieber countered her friend's look with a leopard-centric pap walk in L.A. The Rhode founder curated her model off-duty 'fit around a cropped white T-shirt. That way, her black, straight-leg trousers felt significantly '90s-inspired. Her ankle-grazing coat maximized the nostalgia of it all with brown leather and black fur trim.

Bieber hit back at the up-and-coming tiger print pattern revival with not one, but two leopard-print pieces. First up? Saint Laurent's $5,100 Le 5 À 7: a slouchy hobo shoulder bag, decked in leopard-print pony hair. It was a near-perfect match to her pointy kitten heels, also coated in brown-and-black spots.

When it comes to animal prints, Bieber's trusty less-is-more formula doesn't apply. She can (and has) packed on the pattern with ease, even with the same Saint Laurent handbag.

In Sept. 2024, Bieber brought the Le 5 À 7 on a date with her husband. Instead of stopping the print there, she stacked it on top of a matching $5,700 coat from Toteme. Glossy leopard-print pony hair decorated the entire knee-length coat, too. Her black Intimissimi long-sleeve, dark-wash jeans, and Adidas Samba sneakers, on the other hand, were noticeably leopard-free.

Jenner had the chance to pair her Chanel tiger-print dress with the matching Métiers d'Art Spring 2026 bag, but she opted out. She left the double-duty dressing—an art Bieber specializes in—to her bestie on the West Coast. With that said, if anyone can influence Bieber to finally test tiger, it's Jenner.

Kendall Jenner's had her eyes on Matthieu Blazy's Chanel since the beginning. She scored a front-row seat to his runway debut last October, and has been wearing his designs ever since. On January 28, Jenner gave us her third—and most statement-making—Chanel by Blazy look on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Days after her first-ever Super Bowl commercial dropped, Jenner ended her five-year late-night hiatus inside New York City's 30 Rock. She chatted all things "Kardashian curse," her 30th birthday party, and Super Bowl LX. (She even placed a bet on the New England Patriots.) More importantly, though, she became the latest celebrity to endorse the tiger-print trend.

Stylist Dani Michelle sourced her knee-length dress from Chanel's Métiers d'Art Spring 2026 line. Look 48: a public transit-proof shift featuring oversize, circular beads arranged in tiger-print formation and a fringed high-neck collar and knee-grazing hem.

All of Jenner's accessories hailed from Chanel's shelves, too, from the all-black, cap-toe slingback heels to the gold stud earrings. The supermodel went purse-less during the actual interview, but was photographed in a parking garage carrying Blazy's new Chanel Clutch.

The $3,975 double-strap shoulder style evokes the nostalgic charm of classic Chanel Flap Bags, except with smaller interlocked Cs atop the magnet closure. As of right now, the luxury house offers it in butter yellow or navy blue bordering on black; Jenner chose the latter. (On the runway, the tiger-print dress was styled with a matching top-flap bag.)

Jenner's Métiers d'Art pick was one of many animal references in the 81-piece collection. (There were also python, zebra, and leopard.) Tiger print has emerged as the leading trending pattern for 2026, seen on the spring runways of brands ranging from Otté and Chopova Lowena to Gucci and Alaïa. It's also already gotten the fashion girl endorsement: Rihanna wore blink-and-you'll-miss-them Alaïa stilettos on January 18, striped in muted orange and black, followed by a fur full tiger-striped coat, also courtesy of Alaïa, the next day.
