Miley Cyrus is gearing up for her next chapter with fiancé Maxx Morando, but she reportedly feels like she has work to do before she can fully close the her chapter with ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.

According to a report from Globe Magazine, sources close to the "Dream As One" singer said Cyrus feels the need to clear the air with Hemsworth—even though people close to her ex are reportedly not fans of the idea.

The magazine's report said that "pals fear her well-intentioned desire to clear the air with her ex will bring a wrecking ball to his new engagement"—and that insiders said Hemsworth's fiancée, Gabriella Brooks, is against the idea, too. The model has made her feelings about the idea of Hemsworth and Cyrus meeting up clear, the insiders added.

Still, sources close to Cyrus said she's struggled to really move on because she feels there are still things that have been left "unsaid" with Hemsworth. The pair dated off and on for years after costarring in The Last Song before they eventually wed in December 2018. By February 2020, however, the pair had decided to divorce and end the relationship for good.

Although they've both since moved on with new partners, sources close to Cyrus say she needs to make sure things are good between her and Hemsworth to really have closure in the relationship, which was a huge part of her life.

“As much as Miley has tried to move on, she’s really had a tough time,” an insider said. “She’s the type of person who hates leaving things unsaid, and she swears that’s the reason she wants to see Liam. He was her first everything. She truly believed they were destined to be together forever, and she regrets a lot of the way things went down toward the end of their relationship.”

The Globe sources are, unsurprisingly, anonymous, but Cyrus has personally gone on the record about how much she continues to care about Hemsworth and the time they shared.

“I really do and did love him very, very, very much, and still do, always will," she told Howard Stern in 2020.

More recently, in a September 2025 interview with Vogue, Cyrus opened up about being in the process of organizing belongings from past "eras" of her life and revealed that she's kept some sentimental items from her relationship with Hemsworth.

“I literally have a dress that I had on when I met my ex-husband," she said. "And then I have my dress that I wore on our first date along with letters and things that I really, I want to savor these kind of beautiful moments of my life."

Now, as she prepares to marry Morando, who is the drummer for rock group Liily, Cyrus wants a face-to-face meeting with Hemsworth to make sure they end things on a good note—something she apparently hasn't had a chance to do since their split, which a source said she "didn't expect" at the time.

“Miley wants the air totally cleared,” the Cyrus source continued. “Liam hates confrontation, so he’s avoided Miley since things imploded. He literally just ghosted her — which has only made it harder for her.”

Unfortunately for Cyrus, Hemsworth's new love is reportedly actively against the idea, which could make planning a "clearing the air" session complicated.

“Gabriella wants Liam’s focus on her—not on building a better relationship with his ex!” a source said.

Not yet! Geralt and his friends—whom we learn are eventually referred to in legend as “the hansa,” as is the same in Andrzej Sapkowski’s source books—are still searching for his surrogate daughter at the end of the season. In the meantime, Geralt’s longtime dream of becoming a knight comes true…with strings attached.

During their journey, Geralt leads the charge as the hamza help a group of mysterious guerrilla fighters hold a Nilfgaardian bridge from being taken over by Nilfgaardian soldiers. To repay him, the soldiers’s leader, Queen Meve (Rebecca Hanssen) of the kingdoms Lyria and Rivia, dubs him a knight. However, Meve demands that Geralt swear allegiance to her and only her, unexpectedly drawing him into the war.

Is Yennefer able to defeat Vilgefortz at the end of 'The Witcher' season 4?

No, but she’s working on it. In the season 4 finale, Yennefer orders her fellow mage Triss (Anna Shaffer) to use the dagger that the Witcher Vesemir (Kim Bodnia) used to wound Vilgefortz, allowing her to track Vilgefortz back to Stygga. She reasons that because Vilgefortz is weak, she’ll be able to kill him and protect Ciri without forcing anyone else to suffer in the process.

Triss warns Yennefer that if she breaks through her nemesis’s portal matrix, she’ll still wind up in a world he knows well, and one she doesn’t know at all. Nevertheless, Yennefer carries through with her plan to break into Stygga. The last time we see her, she has emerged through the portal, in the middle of a turbulent sea.

What happens to the Brotherhood at the end of 'The Witcher' season 4?

Speaking to the coalition of rogue mages she’s assembled by the end of season 4, Yennefer admits that she wrongfully thought that they must become soldiers to defeat Vilgefortz.

“I’ve been overlooking something that was right in front of me,” she admits. “What would be our strongest asset from here forward. Our sisterhood.”

Yennefer ends the season by leaving her lone wolf ways behind and promising to build a Lodge of Sorceresses and rebuild the magical women’s academy Aretuza. We don’t get to see this plan come to fruition just yet. However, season 4 introduces a young woman named Nimue (Sha Dessi) who is preparing to study at the recently reopened Aretuza, suggesting that Yennefer’s dream eventually becomes reality.

Is Ciri able to save the Rats at the end of 'The Witcher' season 4?

No. Despite her best efforts, Ciri is unable to stop the treacherous Witcher-hunting mercenary Leo Bonhart (Sharlto Copley) from killing and decapitating her ragtag team of outlaw friends, known as the Rats. Season 4 ends with Ciri restrained by one of Leo’s henchmen, with no one around to save her but herself.

What about Emhyr?

Ciri’s biological father, the ruthless Nilfgaardian emperor Emhyr Var Emreis (Bart Edwards), is desperate to reclaim control over his daughter, whom he sees as the key to fulfilling the world-destroying Ithlinne’s Prophecy and ruling the world.

During the final moments of season 4, Emhyr’s mage advisor, Xarthisius (Simon Paisley Day), introduces him to a powerful monster, who he claims could accelerate the prophecy.

“A truly magnificent specimen for you,” Xarthisius says. “Largest and most brutish I have ever seen.”

Emhyr accepts the monster’s help, ordering it to track down Geralt of Rivia, “who stands between me and my daughter.”

Whatever happens next, the stage is set for the most dramatic family reunion the Continent has ever seen.

Chris Hemsworth is Vanity Fair's latest cover star, and as such, the Australian actor was asked to take the magazine's lie detector test.

Chris' equally famous brother Liam Hemsworth came up quite a bit during the questionnaire, including a ~subtle~ reference to Liam's ex-wife Miley Cyrus.

"Is there a role of [Liam's] that you wish was yours?" the interviewer asked Chris. When he said there wasn't, they insisted, "Not even The Last Song?"

This visibly amused the Avengers actor, who answered, laughing, "The world—his life would’ve been very different, wouldn't it?"

Oddly, this answer came up as "inconclusive" on the lie detector, which confused Chris—does he actually wish he was in The Last Song?!

Anywho, this line of questioning was funny to Chris because the 2010 romance film is the reason Liam met Cyrus in the first place, with the two being on and off for close to a decade until their 2019 divorce.

Chris also confirmed that Liam auditioned for the role of Thor, but said that he was never worried about his younger brother getting the gig over him.

"No, 'cause I wasn't—I was told I didn't have the part at that point, so I was excited for him," he explained. "Little jealous, maybe, but I was excited for him. Then when I was allowed to re-audition, it was when he was out of the picture, so we never were neck and neck, it was either I was involved then wasn't, then he was involved then wasn't and I was involved."

While Cavill didn't give a deeper explanation for his departure at the time, rumors quickly swirled, with speculation ranging from creative differences with the producers to possible scheduling conflicts. Following Cavill's final episodes in The Witcher season 3, part 2, showrunner Lauren Hissrich briefly opened up about the actor's departure while ensuring that Geralt would remain as a central character. "It was time for [Cavill] in his life to move on," Hissrich said in May 2023. "I think we’ve all been mourning this in our own way. We had the choice to have Geralt exit and to end the show. [But] that’s not something that we were willing to do. There’s just too many stories left to tell."

"If we replaced Geralt with another Witcher, we would be going fully away from the books, and I don’t think that’s what anyone wanted either," she continued.

In September 2025, Hissrich shared more context for Cavill's exit in an Entertainment Weekly piece, explaining that his departure had been in the works "for a while." She also dismissed the creative-difference rumors.

The Entertainment Weekly piece also included Hemsworth's first comments about joining the fantasy series. According to the outlet, Hemsworth has been a vocal fan of source video games for a long time, and he was the first actor Hissrich spoke to about the role.

"It came out of nowhere," he said of his initial reaction to the job offer. "I was as surprised as anyone...I'm a massive fan of Henry's, and I'm a fan of what he did in the show."

He shared more of his thoughts in an interview with Radio Times. "When I first got approached, I was pretty reluctant at that point. [I had] a lot of concerns and questions about it all. I was a big fan of the video game and then I watched the series, and was a fan of the series, and I read the books."

"Just the situation [of] coming into a series that's already established a really passionate fanbase. I appreciate these fans, and I appreciate the fact that they care so much about it," he added. "I think if I wasn't a fan myself, if I didn't care about it, I wouldn't have come on board. The reason I came on board was because I was a fan, and because I thought that I could do justice to this character. I thought that could bring an interesting interpretation to this part of the story."

How does 'The Witcher' season 4 introduce Liam Hemsworth as Geralt?

Warning: Light spoilers for The Witcher season 4 ahead. The season 4 premiere of The Witcher introduces our new Geralt of Rivia with a bit of revisionist history. The episode flashes back to some of the series's iconic scenes—including Geralt's fight with the Kikimore monster in season 1, and the first group hug with him, Yennefer, and Ciri—with Hemsworth as Geralt in place of Cavill.

The premiere also introduces a new framing device. 100 years after The Witcher's main timeline, an old man tells a group of children the story of Geralt, but one young girl named Nimue (Sha Dessi) has notes about his accuracy. It appears that Hemsworth's Rivia is her version of the legend. Not only is she a superfan of Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri, but she also thinks that her destiny will intertwine with theirs. What will Henry Cavill appear in next?

Since he departed from The Witcher, Cavill has appeared in spy films like Argylle and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, as well as a cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine. Of his many upcoming projects—including Enola Holmes 3 and a Highlander reboot—the actor has long been involved in a new nerdy passion project.

In December 2022, Cavill announced that he's set to star in and executive produce a series adaptation of Warhammer 40,000, the popular sci-fi/fantasy miniature war game. The tabletop game, which has been compared to Dungeons & Dragons, takes place 40,000 years in the future, in a world where militaristic humans are in an unending war with aliens, elves, orks, skeleton-like androids, and malevolent gods. Most recently, in a May 2025 Esquire interview, Cavill said that adapting the game is a "tricky" challenge.

"[It] is a dream come true, but it's different from what I've done before, in the sense I haven't had my hand on the tiller of things before," he said. "It's wonderful doing that. It is a tricky IP, and a very complex IP, and that's what I love about it. The challenges that come with putting this on the page in a way that is doing justice to that complexity, that trickiness, and that nuance, is a challenge I'm enjoying enormously."

The singer is basking in the success of her new album, Endless Summer Vacation, and is finally in a good place following her difficult on-and-off relationship and subsequent divorce from Liam Hemsworth, which was finalized in 2020.

"In loving memory of all my exes," it reads. "Eat shit." But was that message aimed at ex-husband Liam Hemsworth? At Kaitlynn Carter, perhaps, or Cody Simpson?

The answer is none of the above, according to Cyrus. As Hollywood Life reports, she appeared on Australian news show The Project Wednesday, and explained that the message was in fact intended to make fun of her own misadventures. "I think life can be very painful and sometimes poking fun at it and laughing along with it—like I feel like life is laughing at me, you know, pulling its strings," Cyrus told interviewer Lisa Wilkinson. "Just creating whatever chaos that it wants to and it doesn’t take it easy on us."

"So, I think that was a way that I was able to kind of fight back at that and poke a little fun at it and create something that was campy and that was kind of the perfect bookend for what we made," she continued.

Appearing on the Howard Stern Show last week, Cyrus reflected on her marriage to Liam Hemsworth, which ended in 2019. "I really do and did love him very, very, very much and still do, always will," Cyrus said, before explaining that there was "too much conflict" between the pair. "When I come home, I want to be anchored by someone," she said. "I don't get off on drama or fighting."

Miley Cyrus appeared on The Howard Stern Show Wednesday and opened up about her marriage to Liam Hemsworth, which ended in 2019. Cyrus spoke about losing the Malibu home she and Hemsworth shared in the 2018 California wildfires, why she "clung" to Hemsworth as a result, and the "conflict" that ultimately ended their relationship.

Cyrus said she "lost everything" when her home burned down in November 2018, just over a month before she and Hemsworth got married. "Me being an intense person and not wanting to sit with it and not wanting to go, you know, 'What could be purposeful about this?' I just clung to what I had left of that house, which was me and him," she told Stern, as E! News reports. "And I really do and did love him very, very, very much and still do, always will."

However, Cyrus shared that there was "too much conflict" in her marriage to Hemsworth. "When I come home, I want to be anchored by someone," she explained. "I don't get off on drama or fighting."

Cyrus also spoke about her sobriety in the interview with Stern, reflecting on her return to alcohol amid the COVID-19 pandemic. "The hardest times have been in this pandemic," she said. "And a lot of people, their sobriety broke during this time. I was one of them. Luckily, I haven't gone back to using any drugs, but I was drinking during the pandemic."

She stressed that she dislikes "calling it a relapse," adding, "I call it, I regressed." Cyrus explained, "Drinking hasn't been—that hasn't been my demon. But it does not get me going any further. If anything, it just makes me not reach my full potential, which is unacceptable to me. Like, I will not accept anyone or anything that causes me to not reach my fullest potential."

While Cyrus said she doesn't consider herself an "alcoholic," she said that drinking negatively impacts her relationships. "I'm not the best partner; I'm not the best daughter; I'm not the best sister. I can be a little unreliable," she said. "So if that's an alcoholic—if we're not measuring it by how much we drink but how we perform as a human being—then I would say alcohol is a problem for me because I'm not at my best."

How does a member of the British royal family fall in love with an American TV star? Through a mutual friend, of course. Sounds like things are getting intense between Liam Hemsworth and reported new girlfriend, model Gabriella Brooks. As Hollywood Life reports, the pair dined at The Ivy in Los Angeles last month, and their relationship has only gotten stronger ever since.

"Things between Liam and Gabriella are definitely getting to be more serious since their lunch date at The Ivy with his brothers and some of his closest friends. Liam was able to see how well she fit in with his loved ones and it just meshed," an anonymous source told the site. "He could see serious potential with Gabby and is very much open to seeing where things go with her on a long-term basis."

"Gabby and Liam both came into this fresh out of serious relationships, so it is surprising how quickly things progressed. But it all happened so naturally. They have friends in common in Sydney and in L.A., so blending into each other’s lives has been seamless. It’s obvious they’re really into each other and they are definitely exclusive," another unnamed source said. "It’s funny because they both wanted to take things slowly. But in reality, things have moved pretty quickly. They really like each other and have been spending a ton of time together."

Hemsworth's new relationship might explain why, according to insiders, he's not all that concerned about ex Miley Cyrus dating Cody Simpson. "Liam is moving forward in such a positive direction in his life right now and he’s just doing his own thing," a source said last month. "Miley and Cody’s relationship really isn’t his concern and it’s not something he’s put much thought into." Well, if everyone's happy, I'm happy!

Liam Hemsworth isn't bothered by his ex-wife Miley Cyrus' new romance with Cody Simpson. In fact, he's not really thinking about it, apparently.

A source close to the actor told Hollywood Life that he's focused on other things—specifically, all of the good things going on in his own life—right now. 

"Liam is moving forward in such a positive direction in his life right now and he’s just doing his own thing," the source said. "Miley and Cody’s relationship really isn’t his concern and it’s not something he’s put much thought into."

Miley and Liam announced their separation in August 2019. Miley briefly dated Kaitlynn Carter before connecting with Cody, who she's been dating since last fall. Liam has also moved on and has most recently been linked to Australian model Gabriella Brooks. Outside of his new relationship, Liam has been focused on work and family.

"Liam wrapped filming on Arkansas and Most Dangerous Game and right now he’s just enjoying some down time with friends and family," the Hollywood Life source explained. "He’s been hitting the gym and spending a bit of time with Gabriella. All around, he’s doing really well. It’s been a really good 2020 for him so far."

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are still very much in each other's orbits.

The former couple, who finalized their divorce late last month, were both on the guest list for the William Morris Endeavor (WME) Pre-Oscars party in Los Angeles on Friday night, according to ET Online.

Miley kept it casual in a white tank top for the party. Liam, appropriately, went the opposite direction and opted for an all-black ensemble. A source told People that the exes didn't interact at the party. Per People's source: 

"It wasn’t a big deal and they didn’t even speak. The party was packed, and it wasn’t awkward for Miley that Liam was there. She was with her parents and friends. Liam is her past and Miley is focused on the future. She had great years with Liam and has no regrets. She feels it was all meant to be. Now she has moved on to other great things. She is very happy with Cody [Simpson] and that’s her focus."

This sounds healthy and happy all-around and that's really the best anyone can ask for after a split, isn't it?

Gather round, friends: Romantic intrigue is afoot! You might recall that back in October, Liam Hemsworth was spotted holding hands with actor Maddison Brown, after he and Miley Cyrus announced their split and subsequently filed for divorce in August. Well, it looks like things might have changed somewhat. As People reports, photographers snapped Hemsworth introducing model Gabriella Brooks to his parents, Leonie and Craig Hemsworth, last Friday.

Photos taken of the encounter in Byron Bay, Australia (People has the goods) show Brooks and Leonie going in for a hug, while according to the magazine, the Hemsworths "hit it off" with the model as all four sat down for lunch together. What could this mean?! Is Liam dating Brooks? What's the deal with Brown? Do Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson have thoughts on the matter? Is it possible we'll just never know and can't possibly discern Hemsworth's private life from a few paparazzi photos?!

Hemsworth hasn't said an awful lot about his split from Cyrus, writing on Instagram in August, "This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false." Things did get a little messy last month, however, when his sister-in-law Elsa Pataky, who's married to Chris Hemsworth, commented on their separation.

"My brother-in-law, well… After a relationship that you've dedicated ten years to, he's a little bit down, but he's coping well, he’s a strong boy and he deserves the best," Pataky said in an interview with Hola! adding, "I think he deserves much better."

As for Cyrus, things seem to be going well with new boyfriend Cody Simpson, and the pair have made a habit of getting tattooed together. One of Cyrus' latest additions? The rather telling word "freedom."

This is HUGE. Liam Hemsworth has been keeping a really low profile since he suddenly split with wife Miley Cyrus, and attention has mostly (until now) focused on Cyrus, who moved on to Kaitlynn Carter and is now currently with Cody Simpson, both of whom had been close friends with her for a long time. Now, Hemsworth is apparently moving on too—and at the moment, no one's identified her, so she's being referred to as a "mystery woman" (lol).

TMZ has the photos, but they're both in the West Village in Manhattan walking across the street. They're dressed casually, in jackets and jeans. The woman, whose round sunglasses partially obscure her face, is blonde and about six inches shorter than him. Apparently, "The two enjoyed a meal and some drinks together at Sant Ambroeus...before going on a romantic stroll." Hemsworth does NOT look happy to see the photographer, to be honest.

UPDATE: the mystery woman is actor Maddison Brown, according to Us Weekly!

Obviously, Hemsworth hasn't made any comment, and probably won't. Cyrus, who's usually the more vocal one, has commented about all the speculation around her relationship, writing (among other things), "Can a girl not get a f*cking acai bowl and morning make-out session in peace?!?!" on her Instagram Stories. Liam has posted nothing but a joking workout photo:

So clearly, he's just trying to get the conversation moved on to other things. I still figure people will care about this new relationship, TBH.

Liam Hemsworth is getting back to work following the divorce filing with Miley Cyrus with a photo promoting his new film Killerman. And the photo was...an interesting choice, TBH, given his personal life, because he looks completely miserable.

Liam captioned the photo:

What intrigues me, though, is the exact shot he used. Yes, I know I'm fully speculating here, but he could use any photo. Killerman is a drama/mystery with some action elements thrown in, so he could have used a shot of him running or being a badass, as in the trailer. Yet he uses a super-moody shot of him covered in blood and looking exhausted and miserable. The movie is about memory loss, and Liam talks about the "difficult" nature of the film, but this still feels like an awfully interesting choice, considering what's been going on in his personal life lately.

It's also interesting given the news we just got about why Liam split so quickly from Miley. “He thought they could work it out, but all those pictures of her and Kaitlynn ended that,” a source told Us Weekly. “Liam comes from a very conservative family and his family was freaked out by it.” So, things are changing rapidly for the star, and a lot of it might have been out of his control.

There's a lot to unpack from Miley Cyrus' VMAs performance. There's the fact she appeared at all, considering she'd pledged to avoid it after receiving no nominations. There's Kaitlynn Carter's appearance backstage to support her. There's the fan theory that the subtle change she made to the "Slide Away" lyrics was directed at ex Liam Hemsworth. And there's the appearance of a brand new tattoo, which seems to be a pretty clear reference to Liam.

As Cosmopolitan reports, Miley's new ink on her left arm, courtesy of Los Angeles tattoo artist Winter Stone, reads, "My head was feeling scared, but my heart was feeling free." It's a Pixies lyric, from the track "The Thing," released on the 2001 album Complete 'B' Sides. And it also sounds like a solid reminder that things will be alright for Miley, despite the turmoil of divorce from Liam.

About Miley's performance: It almost didn't happen at all, after she wasn't recognized in any of the nominations. On a post on a fan Instagram account reading,"Guess I’m not watching the VMAS this year unless Miley performs," Miley commented bluntly, "No fuckin way."

When she did perform, she made a tiny but significant tweak to the lyrics of "Slide Away." Instead of singing, "You're right, we're grown now," she repeatedly sang, "You're right, I'm grown now." That might be a dig at Liam, implying he's still got growing to do—or it might just indicate she's focusing on herself for now.

The new lyrics, after all, reflect her recent Twitter comments, in which Miley rejected rumors that she cheated on Liam. "I’ve grown up in front of you, but the bottom line is, I HAVE GROWN UP," she said. "I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating. Liam and I have been together for a decade. I’ve said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will." Allow me to wipe away this tiny tear, will you?

Miley Cyrus, who's got an eye for dramatic timing, just released a new single overnight that has some very, uh, pointed lyrics. She hasn't commented and may not, but fans can't help but notice that the lyrics are pretty revealing, and seem to reference her very recent, very dramatic, very devastating (to me) separation from husband Liam Hemsworth.

The ones I'm most intrigued by are these:

Again, I'm speculating, but a lot of this seems too close to be a coincidence. I have to say it: I'm intrigued on the timing. Wouldn't she have had this written before last weekend, when she was spotted kissing Brody Jenner's ex Kaitlyn Carter (so, like, five days ago)? So, have they been having issues before this? The last time they were spotted together at a public event was June 6, although I admit, in retrospect, that they do look really somber here:

There have been reports that their relationship isn't over for good, and that it's a long road to divorce. "Miley has not been talking to an attorney or thinking about divorce," according to a source. "She wanted the marriage to work and is still willing to give it time. But going through this in the public eye has made things a lot messier and a lot more difficult. She doesn't really know what to do or what will happen next."

Earlier this month, Hollywood hot couple Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth announced that they were dissolving their marriage just a few months shy of their one-year anniversary; the duo, who have been on-again, off-again since first meeting, got married in late December 2018. Just days after the news broke, Miley found herself the subjects of tabloids everywhere when she was spotted getting cozy with newly-single Kaitlynn Carter (ex-wife of The Hills' Brody Jenner) during a private girls' trip in Italy.

As if we didn't already have enough questions about what led to Miley and Liam calling it quits after being together for almost a decade, the singer-songwriter dropped a timely single that piqued our curiosity even further. In the song, titled "Slide Away," Miley describes a loving relationship coming to an end.

Though she doesn't exactly go into specifics, the lyrics of the song do seem to underscore some of the rumors surrounding her relationship with Liam. "Move on, we're not seventeen/I'm not who I used to be" Miley sings in her signature rasp, a hint that the couple, who met when they were just teenagers on the set of The Last Song, likely grew apart over the years.

"Slide Away" also pretty much confirms the whispers that Miley and Liam's relationship wasn't the picture-perfect image that it appeared to be—a source close to the couple told People that Liam struggled with hardcore partying, which created serious conflict in his relationship ("I want my house in the hills/Don't want the whiskey and pills").

In a candid Instagram post, Miley finally broke her silence. "I love Liam and always will. But at this point, I had to make a healthy decision for myself to leave a previous decision behind," the singer shared days ago. "I am the healthiest and happiest I have been in a long time."

Miley is scheduled to perform "Slide Away" onstage at MTV's 2019 Video Music Awards tonight. It's Miley's first public appearance since announcing her divorce weeks ago, but from the looks of it, she's going to be just fine. Love and light, Miley. Love and light.

Sad news coming your way on this Wednesday: Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have officially filed for divorce, according to The Daily Mail, 11 days after the couple announced their separation. There are currently conflicting reports about who filed first, though People reports that Liam did and cited "irreconcilable differences."

The pair decided to split after less than one year of marriage and an on/off relationship of 10 years. “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” Cyrus' rep told People earlier this month. “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. Last night, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth destroyed the world's collective belief in true love when they announced that, after just eight months of married bliss, they are separating.

The couple announced their decision in a statement to People, via Miley's rep, saying: 

In the wake of the split, Miley has been all over Instagram, living her best life on a vacation in Italy and sharing some PDA with Brody Jenner's ex, Kaitlynn Carter.

Since the news broke, Miley also shared an update via her Instagram Story, revealing that she's been indulging in some "much needed QT" with her big sister, Brandi Cyrus. She shared a snap of her and Brandi chilling in face masks:

It's been a rough 48 hours for Liam Hemsworth. Late Saturday night, news broke that he and Miley Cyrus, his wife of under eight months, have decided to separate. They've been together on and off for 10 years.

“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” Cyrus' rep told People over the weekend. “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”

That's not all, though. Photos of Cyrus on vacation in Italy kissing and cuddling with Brody Jenner's ex, Kaitlynn Carter, began to circulate, which were taken a few hours before the statement was released. On Monday, Hemsworth broke his silence to Daily Mail Australia while spending time with his brother in Byron Bay, Australia. He looked visibly upset and apparently told the reporter, "You don't understand what it's like."

Cyrus vaguely addressed the split on Instagram by posting a quote on evolution and change.

"Don’t fight evolution, because you will never win. Like the mountain I am standing on top of, which was once under water, connected with Africa, change is inevitable. The Dolomites were not created over night, it was over millions of years that this magnificent beauty was formed. My dad always told me "Nature never hurries but it is always on time".... it fills my heart with peace and hope KNOWING that is true. I was taught to respect the planet and its process and I am committed to doing the same with my own....💙"

Sad news for Miley/Liam fans: After less than one year of marriage, the couple has reportedly decided to split.

“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” Cyrus' rep told People. “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. Fans started to notice something was up with the couple when Miley posted an Instagram yesterday without her wedding ring on. She's been vacationing in Italy with Kaitlynn Carter, who also just split from her husband Brody Jenner.

Miley and Liam wed in a private ceremony back in December and decorated their home with Mr. & Mrs. balloons. Fans found out about it when the couple’s close friend Conrad Carr accidentally leaked the ceremony on his Instagram story. Miley and Liam have been together on and off since 2009 when they met on the set of The Last Song, so this is pretty heartbreaking.

Liam Hemsworth has officially broken his silence on his split from Miley Cyrus, saying that previous quotes published in the Daily Mail Australia were "false." In a short, sad Instagram caption, accompanied by a photo of the sun setting over the water (a metaphor, perhaps?), Liam wrote, "Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward." Excuse me for a moment: I need to scream-cry in an alleyway and blame it on the neighborhood cats.

Liam went on to contest a Daily Mail report which quoted him as telling a journalist who asked about the breakup, "You don't understand what it's like." Miley did, however, call out Brody Jenner for joking about her relationship with Kaitlynn. In an Instagram comment, Brody wrote, "watch out! Pics of Liam and I holding hands on the beach coming soon." Miley wasn't having any of it, replying, "go take a nap in your truck and cool off #HotGirlSummer." 

One more thing helping Miley through her separation? Her iconic back catalogue— specifically, the 2009 anthem, "The Climb." Alongside another mountaintop photo, Miley wrote, "Life’s a climb... but the view is great." Listen, I understand: You need to take the day off work and play "The Climb" on repeat while feeling all your angstiest teenage feelings even though you're a fully grown adult now. Who am I to judge?

In her August 2019 Elle cover interview, Cyrus covered a lot of different topics—from her sexuality to refusing to believe in karma to when she'll feel comfortable enough to bring children in the world. And, honestly, it's pretty relatable.

"We’ve been doing the same thing to the earth that we do to women. We just take and take and expect it to keep producing. And it’s exhausted. It can’t produce," she says. "We’re getting handed a piece-of-shit planet, and I refuse to hand that down to my child. Until I feel like my kid would live on an earth with fish in the water, I’m not bringing in another person to deal with that...We don’t want to reproduce because we know that the earth can’t handle it."

She also gets real about gender roles in a hetero relationship, preferring the term "partner" over "husband" or "wife."

"I think it’s very confusing to people that I’m married. But my relationship is unique. And I don’t know that I would ever publicly allow people in there because it’s so complex, and modern, and new that I don’t think we’re in a place where people would get it. I mean, do people really think that I’m at home in a fucking apron cooking dinner? I’m in a hetero relationship, but I still am very sexually attracted to women," she explains. "People become vegetarian for health reasons, but bacon is still fucking good, and I know that. I made a partner decision. This is the person I feel has my back the most. I definitely don’t fit into a stereotypical wife role. I don’t even like that word."

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth hadn't been photographed at an event together since the Met Gala, which was only about a month ago, but for me was much too long (newsflash—they're super cute together). Luckily for me, Saint Laurent debuted its Spring/Summer 2020 collection on the beach in Malibu, and the pair showed up in matching black ensembles like the perfectly aligned couple that they clearly are.

Liam was in a black denim jacket and jeans—a twist on the Canadian tuxedo, I dig it, Liam—and a patterned black and white shirt. Miley was even more glam-punk in a glittery, tweedy jacket, ripped black pants with black boots, and tons of chunky jewelry. She was also rockin' a smudged cat-eye and the wet hair look, which would make me look like refried death but is the perfect edginess to her Hannah Montana-inspired haircut.

In photos, the couple looked mostly serious but cracked the occasional smile, leaving their trademark goofiness for when they're in private together. Miley posted pics from the event on her Instagram Stories, saying "@ysl came to me" in Malibu. YSL is a favorite brand for the pair, including for the Met Gala this year.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are a hilarious couple that seem like they would be a blast to hang out with. Usually, judging by most public appearances, Liam just kind of stands there laughing while Miley does crazy antics around him (at the Avengers premiere she literally licked him—just for context). But Liam showed he can bring the antics just as hard as Miley, thanks to some Instagram Stories he decided to share. The two were on their way to Beale Street Music Festival in Tennessee, where Miley surprised the audience with a musical performance. 

First, Liam shared a video of Miley trying to do her makeup in peace while he films her—she turns and says, "What are you doing??" while he giggles. Then, in a series of goofy videos, Liam is literally bouncing up and down like a little kid, trying to get Miley's attention. "MILEY! HEY MILEY" he yells, in between scream-singing "Party in the USA" lyrics at her. Miley is walking away from him, but she seem suuuper amused and even turns to film her ridiculous husband being ridiculous.

Miley filmed what looks like her reaction to her husband's "beautiful" singing voice: "I hate it, but for some reason, the people love it." Then Liam starts to sing (horribly) again.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth attended the Avengers: Endgame premiere—Liam to support his brother Chris, who plays Thor, Miley as his stylish plus-one—and, true to form, the pair turned it up in matching Saint Laurent. It's their first film premiere since quietly getting married in December 2018, and the two gave us sexy, sexy energy on the red carpet. 

Miley's YSL dress had a cutout right at the abdomen, underneath her chest (ugh, I wish I could pull something like that off but let the record show that I CANNOT), and was black with just a hint of sexy silver sparkle. Miley's still channeling her Hannah Montana hair with long, beachy locks and trendy copper eyeshadow. In a few of the images, it looked like Miley and Liam were even play-fighting as she pushed his hand away from hugging her, but it was all in good fun because the rest of the photos were fire emoji.

Miley Cyrus just responded to pregnancy rumors a couple months saying no, she's not, leave her alone. But in an intriguing twist, Miley posted on her Instagram Stories last night referring to what her and new husband Liam Hemsworth's child would be like—"so f*ckin extra," apparently.

The singer-actress-personality posted a photo from The Last Song, which is where she and Liam met nearly a decade ago. In the shot, the two are staring wistfully out at (the ocean? Maybe?) something. Miley captioned the photo: "Our child would be so f*ckin extra lol" and "Like....why." Underneath, she wrote, "soooomooooody."

Miley has really been digging a good throwback photo recently, and just dyed her hair Hannah Montana blonde to match. So, very likely, this is not Miley's surreptitious hint that she and Liam are expecting and more like Miley looking back and trolling herself on her old roles.

In January, Miley posted, "I’m not 'Egg-xpecting' but it’s 'Egg-celent' to hear everyone is so 'Happy For Us'...we’re happy for us too!" she said. "Now, can everyone leave me alone and go back to staring at an egg." (This was a punny response to that world-famous, record-breaking Instagram egg, in case that was confusing to you. January was a weird month.)

We all have to make sacrifices in relationships, but Miley Cyrus has really lucked out with this one. On Monday evening, the red carpet premiere of Isn’t It Romantic, starring Liam Hemsworth, Priyanka Chopra, and Rebel Wilson, had its star-studded opening night. Unfortunately, Hemsworth is currently recovering from a recent hospital visit (hence his absence from the Grammys, too), but Miley was more than happy to step up and represent the family instead People has confirmed that it’s kidney stones that are to blame, and although Hemsworth “was briefly hospitalized” earlier this week, he is now “at home resting and will be fine.”

Hey, when you’re a newly married A-list couple, the show must go on. Turning to this old thing that she just had lying around in the back of her wardrobe, Miley arrived at the LA premiere in a stunning, show-stealing Maison Valentino dress.

It featured dramatic ruffling with an elegant sheer train, and the musician matched the vibrant shade of red perfectly with her bold lipstick choice. Talk about a Valentine's look.

Explaining later on Instagram why she’d gone solo to the Isn’t It Romantic premiere, Miley wrote: “So proud of my hunky hubby… It’s hard for entertainers to put themselves before the project but this time it was crucial. I am proud to represent him and his incredible work. So happy to see him shining in this comedy! He is the funniest person I know , and the world now gets to see the Liam I wake up to every day... luckiest.”

Forget your nearest and dearest and all of the thoughtful presents that you gave and received. Categorically the best part of Christmas 2018 came when the internet discovered that Miley Cyrus had secretly married her beau Liam Hemsworth in an adorably lowkey, at-home ceremony with their closest family. The adorable couple finally tied the knot on December 23rd at Cyrus’ home in Tennessee after an on/off relationship of nearly ten years, having met for the first time in 2009 when they worked together on The Last Song.

Since their big day, Cyrus and Hemsworth have remained typically chill about the whole thing, enjoying very quiet marital bliss aside from sharing just a couple of sweet moments to mark the start of their new life together. But finally, earlier this week the pair made their first public appearance as a married couple, attending the 2019 G’Day USA Gala together to celebrate the actor scooping the Excellence In Film Award.

During Liam's acceptance speech, the notoriously private childhood sweethearts proved that they’ve already got this whole husband/wife banter thing down to a tee, and it'll only make you love them more.

In a video shared on Miley’s Instagram of the hilarious moment, the Hunger Games star gushed: “Thank you to my beautiful wife. You are a sweet, sweet angel. You’re great, you’re great."

Cyrus, seated proudly in the audience, shouted: "More about me!” to which her husband quickly replied, "Yeah, I’ll tell you later."

The pair spent the rest of the evening looking over the moon with happiness and, later, Miley posted a sweet picture to her social media along with the caption: “Date night. OUT and ready to party with the MR."

And there's all the proof you need that this marriage must be protected at all costs.

Now, Cyrus is on vacation with the Hemsworth family, and it's raising some questions. Specifically, is this just a vacation? Or is it their official honeymoon, as Us Weekly is saying? On New Year's Eve, Miley shared photos of herself on a slope and in front of a fireplace with some festive 2019 decorations behind her. She's in all black with white trim and a fantastic beret, plus a brand new, very pretty accessory: her wedding ring. In one pic, she's swigging from a champagne bottle—New Year's celebration? Or wedding celebration?

The Internet lost its collective mind when photos surfaced of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth getting low-key married in a casual gathering of family and friends—and how every single one of us missed the signs of impending wedded bliss. Now, the famous couple has officially confirmed the news, and gave us photos and video to prove that love is real and everything's going to be ok. Also, we're getting hints about why the actors decided to get hitched when they did.

A source told Us Weekly that “Liam caring for animals and helping others during the Malibu fire sealed the deal. Their love exploded after that. They are a perfect match.”

So apparently a handsome man chasing after adorably scared animals is a huge turn-on, no surprise. Miley had basically said the same thing in an interview with Howard Stern a few weeks prior, per People. "Liam, I’ve never loved him more for this," she said.

"I call him my survival partner now. He thinks it’s not romantic, but I learned that it is. It is why you pair up with someone, for survival. He was so incredible—he got all the animals out in his truck. He put two pigs in crates, which I tell you is so hard."

More details from the wedding: Miley got married in a flowy Vivienne Westwood dress that's perfect for her funky-yet-chic aesthetic. Nicholas Sparks (who wrote The Last Song, which became the movie where the famous couple met) congratulated the couple. Apparently Miley and Hemsworth wanted to get married in their Malibu home before it burned down in the California wildfire; after the devastation, they donated $500,000 to the Malibu Foundation and instead opted for a more low-key event. Behind her, sharing the responsibility of cutting an elegant, two-tier white cake is fiance Liam Hemsworth, who also just so happens to be wearing a wedding-appropriate smart suit and tie. There’s champagne glasses dotted all over the table, as well as a selection of delicious looking desserts, and a pair of Mr & Mrs balloons are floating in the background. So SORRY, I’m just going to go ahead and say it—this is DEFINITELY a WEDDING.

A few months ago, everyone thought that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth broke up (a completely devastating concept, tbh), but the longtime couple shut down rumors when Liam posted an Instagram story of him and Miley in the car together. While singing in the driver's seat, Liam suddenly screamed out of the blue and scared Miley, which has now turned into a hilarious series.

Back again in the car again today, Liam started filming Miley while she was putting on her lipstick. You can probably guess what he did next. "You are going to f*ck up my f*cking lipstick!" she screamed back at him while an unidentified person, likely my spirit animal, sat in the backseat laughing. If you were devastated after reading the tragic news that favorite couple Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth might have broken up, fear no more—Liam shut down the rumors by posting an amazing Instagram story of him and Miley goofing around in the car, then suddenly screaming and scaring Miley. (They were both laughing the whole time.)

Fans were shocked this morning when an unconfirmed report from OK! Australia revealed that Liam wanted to start a family with Miley, but Miley wasn't ready and they decided to break up. “He wants kids and doesn’t want to keep putting it off, but it’s not quite the timeline Miley had in mind…he is left heartbroken,” said the source.

Clearly the source is wrong and they are happily living out their days singing together in cars (see GIF below for reference).

So all of this probably explains why NO ONE is taking the news well that Cyrus and Hemsworth may have quietly split.

Coming straight in to ruin your day with this quite frankly terrible information, insiders have claimed that Miley and Liam have ended their relationship again, and this time it’s for good. The couple have reportedly continued to disagree on when they should have children and how quickly they should settle down.

According to reports from OK! Australia (so, take it with a grain of salt at least!), Liam, 28, was keen to become a father but Miley, 25, had other ideas. A source revealed: “He wants kids and doesn’t want to keep putting it off, but it’s not quite the timeline Miley had in mind… he is left heartbroken.”

They continued: “Miley put off plans for the wedding and Liam was growing tired of it. They haven’t been getting along in recent months. [She] didn't really want to get married. It's something that everyone else seemed to get but Liam. [His] family had been begging him to see the light for a long time, but he had faith in Miley. Now he feels like an idiot.”

Of course, this could all be dismissed as your usual celebrity trash talk, but the idea matches up with a quote from Miley herself last year. She told The Sun: “I don't envision marriage. I'm 24. I hope I get to live a little bit more. I have too much living to do [before I get married].”

It's not looking good, but don’t lose hope just yet. Let’s not forget that there was also speculation back in March that the pair had secretly married with a low key, ‘hippie-style’ Malibu wedding.

After filming The Hunger Games together for years, Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth have shared some hilarious anecdotes from their time on set together. And the latest revelation has to do with a very peculiar line of questioning from JLaw. 

While on The Graham Norton Show on Thursday to promote his new film Independence Day: Resurgence, the Aussie actor recalled, "She often, right before a take, would turn to me and ask if I liked having sex with kangaroos. Anything along those lines."

Well, alright then. 

Hemsworth added, "You never really know what's going to come out of her mouth!" 

It's really no surprise that Lawrence would try to mess with and throw off her pal, but what is surprising is his cheeky reply. Hemsworth's Independence Day co-star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was also on the talk show and quickly asked: "And your response was…?"

"Absolutely!" Hemsworth answered, "That's what Australians do!"

Being the ever-unpredictable interviewee that she is, Jennifer Lawrence couldn't help but shake things up during a Nov. 19 appearance on Conan; this time by crushing our dreams, revealing that Liam Hemsworth isn't the super cuddly, panda onesie-wearing hunk we thought he was. He—along with his brothers, Chris and Luke—are actually just a pack of "animals" who are "disgusting" and enjoy eating scabs for five dollars. (Well, at least according to J-Law.) 

When asked by the talk show host why she refers to Liam as a "bear," Lawrence didn't hold back one bit: "He's an animal! His whole family, they're real animals. It's the craziest family I've been around in my life. The way that they communicate is so physical and crazy."

After an impassioned impression of the siblings' wild antics, the Hunger Games actress concluded by reiterating, "They're disgusting. They're real bears; they're animals!"
