Dark and intense, consisting of all black and sharp, dramatic lines, Cyrus showed no trace of Hannah Montana and her sweet niblets on the 2025 red carpet.

The Something Beautiful singer wore a high-neck, croc-embossed leather crop top that curved up her stomach and along her breastbone, and a voluminous black fit-and-flare maxi skirt with a drop-waist silhouette. Being in character for the night obviously called for her to pull out the infamous Hannah Montana wig we all remember, with streaky, buttery blonde hair and curtain bangs. When it came to her manicure for the night, she toned things down a bit by wearing milky nude polish on her short, oval-shaped nails.

I definitely didn't expect Cyrus to style Hannah merch straight from my childhood keepsake box on the 20th anniversary special's premiere red carpet. But the teen by day, pop star by night was right: "You'll always find your way back home."

Some fans, myself included, assumed Cyrus would dig through the Hannah Montana archives for a denim vest or sequin dress before walking the Disney+ carpet on March 23. Miley Cyrus is gearing up for her next chapter with fiancé Maxx Morando, but she reportedly feels like she has work to do before she can fully close the her chapter with ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.

According to a report from Globe Magazine, sources close to the "Dream As One" singer said Cyrus feels the need to clear the air with Hemsworth—even though people close to her ex are reportedly not fans of the idea.

The magazine's report said that "pals fear her well-intentioned desire to clear the air with her ex will bring a wrecking ball to his new engagement"—and that insiders said Hemsworth's fiancée, Gabriella Brooks, is against the idea, too. The model has made her feelings about the idea of Hemsworth and Cyrus meeting up clear, the insiders added.

Still, sources close to Cyrus said she's struggled to really move on because she feels there are still things that have been left "unsaid" with Hemsworth. The pair dated off and on for years after costarring in The Last Song before they eventually wed in December 2018. By February 2020, however, the pair had decided to divorce and end the relationship for good.

Although they've both since moved on with new partners, sources close to Cyrus say she needs to make sure things are good between her and Hemsworth to really have closure in the relationship, which was a huge part of her life.

“As much as Miley has tried to move on, she’s really had a tough time,” an insider said. “She’s the type of person who hates leaving things unsaid, and she swears that’s the reason she wants to see Liam. He was her first everything. She truly believed they were destined to be together forever, and she regrets a lot of the way things went down toward the end of their relationship.”

The Globe sources are, unsurprisingly, anonymous, but Cyrus has personally gone on the record about how much she continues to care about Hemsworth and the time they shared.

“I really do and did love him very, very, very much, and still do, always will," she told Howard Stern in 2020.

More recently, in a September 2025 interview with Vogue, Cyrus opened up about being in the process of organizing belongings from past "eras" of her life and revealed that she's kept some sentimental items from her relationship with Hemsworth.

“I literally have a dress that I had on when I met my ex-husband," she said. "And then I have my dress that I wore on our first date along with letters and things that I really, I want to savor these kind of beautiful moments of my life."

Between "Beautiful That Way" from The Last Showgirl and "Dream As One" from Avatar: Fire and Ash, Miley Cyrus is becoming one of Hollywood's go-to songwriters for film projects—and that's apparently very much by design.

The 33-year-old "Flowers" singer says her recent film-related songwriting opportunities came about because she actively puts herself out there and takes advantage of the access she has when she finds herself at events with people she'd like to collaborate with.

"I kind of throw it out there as I always do,” Cyrus recently told People of connecting with Avatar director James Cameron at the 2024 D23 Expo, where she and the iconic filmmaker were both being honored as Disney Legends.

“I already knew the answer to, ‘So what have you been up to?’ I know he's been up to Avatar for a very long time," Cyrus explained, saying she decided to skip the smalltalk and use her face-time with Cameron to offer her songwriting skills instead. “‘Just lemme know if you ever need any music.'"

As it turns out, Cyrus made that offer at exactly the right time for the collaboration to "organically happen," since Cameron was looking for a song to accompany the end credits of the third Avatar installment.

"I did the same thing to [Last Showgirl star] Jamie Lee Curtis,” she explained of getting the chance to write the film's Golden Globe-nominated song, "Beautiful That Way." “That's how I ended up doing Last Showgirl and now being a part of Avatar."

The strategy has been so successful for Cyrus that she admits she's actually attended Hollywood events—including the 2025 Oscars—with an eye toward looking for opportunities to collaborate with filmmakers.

“No, literally, that's why I went to the Oscars this year," she said. "Everybody that came up and introduced themselves, I said, ‘Well, if you need any music, I'm around.’”

Miley Cyrus' song for Avatar: Fire and Ash could see her nominated for her first Oscar. "Dream as One", which plays over the third Avatar film's credits, is on the shortlist for Best Original Song along with 14 other contenders, so "Academy Award Winner Miley Cyrus" is a real possibility.

And while "Dream as One" is for James Cameron's sci-fi franchise about blue aliens, ecology, and colonization, the song has a very personal meaning to Cyrus. In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, the singer shared that she was inspired by the loss of her Malibu home to the Woolsey wildfire in 2018.

"The theme of fire and ash, obviously for the kind of literal reasons of losing my house, rebuilding, growing from the ground up, and this phoenix resilience and courage to keep going," Cyrus said of how the song connects to her own life. "But also not doing it alone, to kind of reach out and ask for help from the people around you that care."

Cyrus noted that the first line in the song is pulled directly from her experience with losing her home.

"[Co-writer] Mark Ronson goes, 'What do you mean "diamonds in the dark"?' And I was like, 'Well, I lost my house in the fire, and when I went back, we had nothing, but I started scraping around in the ashes and I found one of my diamond rings.' He was going, 'That's kind of a lyric that would never happen, "a diamond in the dark."' I was like, 'That happened to me. I literally found a diamond in the dark.'"

The 33-year-old added that because she thinks "Avatar can lean more masculine feeling" she wanted to bring a "feminine approach" and "something really vulnerable" with the song.

While the fire was devastating for Cyrus and her ex Liam Hemsworth, with whom she shared the home, she later called losing her house "the biggest blessing."

At a screening of her visual album Something Beautiful in May, she explained (via People), "Losing everything and being able to rebuild, and to be able to be purposeful and choose every piece that I'm gonna collect or also just about the people in my life."

Cyrus continued, "And I guess for me, when my house burned down, a lot of my relationships also burned down, and that again just led me to such magic and to have so much gratitude."

Now, her soundtrack song is part of that rebuilding. As she said when she announced the collaboration in October, "Having been personally affected by fire and being rebuilt from the ashes, this project holds profound meaning for me. Thank you, Jim, for the opportunity to turn that experience into musical medicine. You can write in a pair of jeans, and it's hot, or you could just put on some leather or whatever, and it feels like you're ready for a performance.

You once said that you like to match your makeup to the genres you’re exploring—how would you describe your current makeup era?

Timeless and classic. We're obviously in this very pivotal time and culture where a lot is changing and shifting really fast and things are going back to just the basics and the classics. That's what I love about Maybelline—it's so iconic. It's been on your mom's table, it’s been on mine—it runs in your family. It's so generational, and I love that.

Where do you find beauty inspiration?

I love experimenting so I can wear any look from the ‘20s, like a tiny micro brow, to something that's really modern and experimental that plays with something that's reflective or chrome. I love pretty much everything. That's why I end up doing so many different looks and different genres because I'm just always inspired by everything that's been, and also creating something that's never been before.

When you’re getting glammed up, what music is on your playlist?

Today, I asked Alexa to play 55 hours worth of Britney Spears—every single song was a hitter and Alexa did something crazy and played a song I had never heard before. It’s called “Scary,” and it’s a deep cut from the Femme Fatale deluxe edition.

What’s a beauty trend or product from the early 2000s you’d love to bring back?

I love metallic, shiny, and chrome looks. When I was younger, I was very into frosty eyeshadow. I like to have fun and layer all the eyeshadow colors I wear and make it all my own, whether it's how I'm lining my eyes or what I'm putting in the middle of my eyelids. I feel like I can make it really dimensional, which is something I love about ‘90s and early 2000s beauty. It always felt like people wore multiple eyeshadows to make one very dimensional look.

What’s your go-to Maybelline product at the moment?

The Maybelline Serum Lipstick. I have a hard time with lipsticks that don't feel long-lasting or like I can wear them forever. Sometimes they dry up and make me feel like I can’t talk, smile, sing, or do anything that requires me to move my mouth. And I feel like this product has the perfect balance—it’s really hydrating because of the hyaluronic acid serum in it, but it also doesn’t move around and transfer.

Mere hours after her spur-of-the-moment announcement, the designer behind the bold ring made herself known: Jacquie Aiche, a L.A.-based designer worn by Cyrus since 2012. Neither Cyrus or her musician boyfriend, Maxx Morando, have commented on the ring. (Though the jeweler's press release confirmed it's an engagement style.) But judging by her strategic pose, she could be picking out her wedding "Flowers" as we speak.

A quick glance at Cyrus's new addition confirms chunky silhouettes are the It-shape of 2025. Dua Lipa's custom Tiffany & Co. engagement ring features the same thick width and curved edges as Cyrus's. However, according to Jillian Sassone, the founding jeweler behind Marrow Fine, the Grammy winner's ring mirrors a bombé band: "gold-forward with a rounded, slightly dome-like shape," she told Marie Claire over email. Jacquie Aiche confirmed the band was crafted from 14-karat yellow gold, Cyrus's preferred metal for decades. Most of her Jacquie Aiche pieces are in yellow gold, including the horned $23,985 pendant she rarely took off during the 2010s.

Cyrus's engagement ring read surprisingly nostalgic, especially for a brand-new design. But that's Cyrus's MO when shopping Jacquie Aiche's catalog. Even her beloved body chain (circa-2012) could've been plucked from the '70s.

Since the icon's Cowboy Carter tour went abroad on June 5, her performances and costumes alike have reached an extreme level of excellence. She's clearly enjoying herself, too—on night six of her London stretch, Queen Bey shouted, "I don't wanna go home" into the microphone.

From now until June 22, Beyoncé is outdoing herself in France. On opening night, the Grammy winner "wanted to do something very special" for the Parisians—so she brought out Miley Cyrus for the first live performance of their duet, "II Most Wanted." In addition to matching each other's caliber, the stars coordinated in gilded gold glamour, which matched the tour's country-ified color palette.

With help from her longtime stylist, Shiona Turini, Beyoncé debuted a new custom Rabanne dress, made entirely of the brand's signature metallic chainmail. The asymmetrical mini featured various Western-coded accents, most notably, fringe along the hem and the U-shaped neckline. For extra shine, tiered mirrors dangled from the "BLACKBIIRD" singer's neckline. Then, a coordinating gold belt blended into the lightweight fabric. Some American A-listers channel the local look in Paris—like Kendall Jenner in a timeless trench coat; Gracie Abrams wearing polka-dots; and Bella Hadid's blonde bun. However, on June 17, Cyrus delivered a theatrical take on French girl-core. With help from her stylist, Bradley Kenneth, the Grammy winner announced her arrival in vintage Patrick Kelly Fall/Winter 1989. She sported a gray-tinted snakeskin mini dress made from a thick, knit fabric. The fitted number featured long sleeves, a short hemline, and a plumed ruff made of blue and gray feathers.

Though the dress certainly made a statement all on its own, in classic Miley fashion, she didn't stop the theatrics there. She also wore white floral tights with a pair of matching pumps—each of which had a white rosette tacked to its ankle strap.

While many would have reached for silver add-ons to complement the outfit's blue undertones, Cyrus went in the complete opposite direction. She wore a pair of jumbo gold hoops, which mimicked the gleaming hardware on her designer handbag.

The $4,100 piece was made from glossy black leather, which added a lone color contrast to her otherwise meticulously color-coded 'fit. The style is a newer design from Valentino Garavani featuring a classic front-flap silhouette and a modern, elongated shoulder strap.

The look isn't too far off from an ensemble Cyrus wore last month. In May, she hosted an event with Spotify and debuted a skin-tight bustier-style dress from Ludovic De Saint Sernin.

Arriving for the premiere of the accompanying movie for her new album, Something Beautiful, on June 6, the "Easy Lover" performer opted for a naked net dress, which was literally dripping in crystal water drops.

Cyrus—who is styled by Bradley Kenneth— opted for a Schiaparelli by Daniel Roseberry net dress from the fashion house's SS25 haute couture collection. As noted by the designer, the "woven dress in faded pistachio organza" is "embroidered with crystal water drops on the inside of each interlace and finished with a cascade of fringes." The former Hannah Montana star—who once played a show naked—wore a "matching fringe stole" over her naked dress.

The "Flowers" singer accessorized the dramatic runway dress with Schiaparelli's Anatomy Jewelry Bag and a pair of nude pointed-toe pumps.

It's since been reported that Cyrus's fans were devastated after the singer was heckled inside the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of her movie. Just hours after e.l.f. announced it officially acquired Bieber's eponymous skincare label, Rhode, for $1 billion, the founder celebrated the news in L.A. She looked like a billion bucks in a Saint Laurent mini dress—a fitting selection for the brand ambassador.

Bieber's strapless design was custom (surprise, surprise). But lucky for me, there are similar micro-mini styles on the market. I popped on my highest heels, oval-shaped sunglasses, and voilà: my Bieber-core combo was complete.

Swift's nights out in New York are some of the year's most stylish soirées—whether or not her celebrity friends are on the guest list. On May 31, the Grammy winner grabbed dinner at Midtown's Monkey Bar with her close pal Selena Gomez. The Rare Beauty founder went with a monochrome Ulla Johnson suit. Then, Swift followed her lead in all-black attire. She wore head-to-toe Gucci, including a bejeweled skirt set. Minutes after the photos dropped, the two-piece sold out. So, I shopped these LBDs instead.

Even though I'm infatuated by the sheer trend, I haven't given it a go myself yet. That's about to change, thanks to Lawrence's recent LBD.

On May 2, the Hunger Games alum was spotted in New York wearing Lemaire's transparent column dress. Complete with short sleeves, sheer viscose, and slits up each leg, the style was practically made with summer weather in mind. She accessorized it with a $30,000 The Row bag, but my trusty Aupen purse will do.

Off the red carpet at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, Rihanna ditched French Riviera fashion for a laidback LBD. Her fringe-embellished Khaite dress immediately earned a spot on my summer mood board. Once it was time to style it, I channeled my inner RiRi with naked shoes and Ray-Ban sunglasses.

And according to her latest look, her streak is staying strong this summer.

On June 2, Cyrus surprised fans at a taping for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. After her brief appearance, the Grammy winner signed autographs and posed for photographs outside the Carlyle Hotel—the same five-star hotspot that hosts celebrities during the Met Gala. With help from her stylist, Bradley Kenneth, Cyrus was all smiles in all-black attire, starting with a plunging little black dress, courtesy of Tom Ford Fall 2025. Fresh from Haider Ackermann's first collection for the label, the sleeveless sheath mimicked a tuxedo jacket, complete with satin lining on the lapels and pockets.

This year, however, the aesthetic has evolved dramatically. The look is no longer defined by American Girl Doll riding boots and barn jackets—nay (neigh), 2025 is all about the wild horse girl. It all started when Beyoncé made assless chaps the focal point of her summer tour, debuting dozens of cheeky styles in a matter of days.

Around the same time, Julia Fox brought the aesthetic to Coachella, in butt-baring leather shorts and a corset. And this week, Miley Cyrus officially threw her (cowboy) hat into the ring.

Ahead of her June 8 Governors Ball performance, Cyrus gave fans a sneak peek at what may very well be her concert costuming. Though her Something Beautiful press tour looks have been "surprisingly demure," the pop star set all that aside, reviving her famously naked Bangers aesthetic.

The look was Horse Girl: Unbridled, with Cyrus sporting an archival ensemble from one of Thierry Mugler's most celebrated collections. She went full cowboy couture, in an elaborate turquoise bra and matching chaps covered in aqua feathers.

Both pieces hailed from Mugler's Spring 1992 collection, "Les Cowboys." Beyoncé has pulled from this collection numerous times over the years, most recently wearing an ornate bodysuit and chaps for her Cowboy Carter vinyl cover shoot.

Wild horse girl summer has officially begun.

Miley Cyrus is firmly in her Alaïa era. The pop star hard-launched a new glam-rock aesthetic, which coincides with her upcoming album. In doing so, she also began a relationship with Alaïa, the Rihanna-loved designer label responsible for much of her Something Beautiful wardrobe.

Cyrus has been sporting various Alaïa designs for weeks now, having worn the brand at the 2025 Met Gala and several times throughout her stylish Parisian press tour. Now that she's ramping up her public appearances, in anticipation of her record's release next week, she's back on her Alaïa beat.

On Thrusday, May 22, the "Used to Be Young" singer was a guest star on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! She tapped her favorite brand for the cable show, donning a sheer dress made of loosely-woven black netting. The webbed design featured chunky crochet detailing at each shoulder, giving it a distinct runway feel.

The look actually was straight off Alaïa's runway. It debuted in March, during their Fall 2025 Paris Fashion Week show—albeit with a more risqué styling. The model who wore it went braless beneath the see-through piece, wearing only a pair of black leggings for coverage.

Cyrus's styling was only slightly more demure. The singer also wore leggings, but added a black bandeau-style bra underneath to make the NSFW garment feel more late-night television friendly.

Her sartorial tribute didn't end there, because earlier that day, Cyrus arrived to ABC studios wearing a second Alaïa runway piece. She sported a plush shearling jacket from the same collection, the likes of which have yet hit stores. Cyrus wore hers with a velvety pleated dress in a rich shade of eggplant.

Something Beautiful is absolutely right.

Anyone who works the Met Gala—in any capacity—can tell you it's extremely tiring. Celebrities who attend spend weeks preparing, as we know, but there are also hundreds of event staffers, museum curators, janitors, stylists, vendors, photographers, content creators, and editors who put in weeks of overtime and prep. It's both a marathon and a sprint that typically takes several days to recover from. (I, myself, am still catching up.)

However exhausting the red carpet and after-parties may be, they did nothing to impact Miley Cyrus's grind. After churning out two couture looks the night of (both from Alaïa), the pop star woke up on the first Tuesday in May and served four more looks in less than 12 hours. The impact of this truly cannot be overstated.

After only a few hours of beauty sleep, Cyrus was up bright and early on May 6, ready to continue serving 'fits of the highest possible caliber. While in New York City, the singer hosted a event with Spotify—which, apparently, requires several outfit changes.

One of her outfits—a sultry suiting look—could easily have walked the Met steps the evening before, given the 2025 gala's theme of "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style." It featured an open-front button-down shirt and a superfluous belt around her bare waist, Carrie Bradshaw-style. (Alas, the designer responsible hadn't stepped forward by press time.)

That same evening, Cyrus fulfilled her hosting duties with yet another look. She debuted a sculpted peplum blazer and mini skirt set that came covered in rhinestones. It was a further continuation of the glam-rock aesthetic she's been embracing lately.

Her sartorial slays didn't stop there, however. There were still two more looks to come: a skin-tight, snakeskin bustier gown by Ludovic de Saint Sernin and a brown leather moto jacket set from McQueen.

The "End of the World" singer accessorized the dramatic look with a gold statement necklace, gold earrings, and black sunglasses—all by Cartier—and styled her hair in a sleek, braided ponytail. The overall mood of the look was dark and dramatic in a playful way (think Taylor Swift's Reputation era style).

Cyrus's look might have been giving dark and dramatic energy, but the "Flowers" singer beamed like a human ray of sunshine at The Carlyle Hotel before the 2025 Met Gala and on the event's red carpet.

"I just look forward to who I'm going to see and who I'm going to sit with and see everyone's interpretation," Cyrus told Vogue on the Met Gala's red carpet. "And that's what's really exciting for me, is that this year, it's really celebrating identity and uniqueness and, kind of, challenging what's expected of you and going beyond and really just being, you know, kind of proud of yourself and how you show up."

"I think watching everybody, I think of these gowns as like armor," Cyrus told Vogue of her impressions on the 2025 Met Gala red carpet. "It's a representation of power and strength, and that's how I feel about fashion. So, I love seeing everyone's way that they're showing up and presenting that power."

As for what she looks forward to most about the biggest night in fashion though, Cyrus gave "normal girl" energy, saying the people at the annual event are a bigger highlight for her than the fashion itself.

"Well, I love looking at, you know, all the fashion and all the art, but most importantly, just catching up with friends that I only get to see once a year," she explained. "And it's not near enough. But, you know, we catch up because so much happens in a year's time."

For days now, Miley Cyrus has been making appearances in fall 2025's biggest trends all over Paris. The woman has been everywhere promoting her new album—doing interviews, shaking hands, and turning looks. At this point, she should just announce her bid for city mayor, because frankly, I'd vote for her based on the outfits alone. (Just kidding, I'm sure she'd have great policies.)

The pop star kicked off her weekend-long style marathon on Saturday, April 26, when she stepped out in a smocked Saint Laurent mini dress. She repped the luxury designer throughout her entire 'fit, styling the off-the-shoulder number with sunglasses, jewelry, and $955 pumps from the brand.

Later that day, Cyrus pivoted to another beloved celebrity label, Alaïa—a move that would set the tone for the rest of the weekend to come. She likewise wore a full look from the brand, styling an ankle-length, padded leather coat with square-toe boots—both unreleased designs from Alaïa's Fall 2025 runway.

The following day, Cyrus woke up bright and early to pump out another runway outfit. She copy and pasted a colorblock leather look from Saint Laurent's Fall/Winter 2025-2026 Ready to Wear show, in a crimson skirt, burgundy aviator jacket, and slouchy sage green gloves. From there, the "End of the World" singer took a hard-pivot, going from mismatched fall layers to a springtime-appropriate ivory midi dress. Like her previous outfits, the Hermès creation isn't yet shoppable to the public. She styled it simply, adding only the Alaïa boots she wore the day before.

At this point, I'd be ready for a nap—but Cyrus just kept on going. She debuted another piece from Alaïa's upcoming line, cloaked in a long wool coat. The pice was minimalist in nature, but featured several key details, such as asymmetrical button closures, cartoon-like shoulder pads, and a dramatic hood.

Afterward, Cyrus underwent her fourth quick-change of the day, debuting a third Alaïa look for her evening's events. The singer chose another statement coat, wearing the brand's denim trench like a dress. She finished with several more Alaïa finds, including a black bodysuit and shield sunglasses.

The next morning, Cyrus stepped out wearing her seventh and final look of the weekend. She took to the streets of Paris once again, but chose to embrace a new designer: Mugler. Her jumpsuit featured pinstripe trousers, which were attached to a velvet corset by way of large criss-cross stitches.

Though created by a different design house entirely, the one-piece still embodied Cyrus's "surprisingly demure" Something Beautiful aesthetic. The singer is exploring a new look defined by surprisingly accessible bases (like a button-up shirt or a little black dress) paired to freaky accessories by the likes of Rick Owens and Bottega Veneta. Her Paris outfits took the narrative in a fresh, even more runway-centric direction—one that only a pop star could access.

I didn't think it was possible to out-little black dress Selena Gomez, but it just goes to show: You should never underestimate Miley Cyrus. Whoever said "never meet your heroes" clearly wouldn't have understood Sabrina Carpenter's undying fangirl love for Miley Cyrus.

The fact that the "Espresso" singer's intense appreciation for Cyrus dates wayyy back to when she was just 10 years old is common knowledge on social media, where a photo of a young, fedora-clad Carpenter proudly posing with her idol has been making the rounds for years.

So, when the singers crossed paths again at the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday (Feb. 2) and posed for a modern recreation of the now-famous photo, fans were most definitely here for it.

Carpenter, who was in fifth grade at the time, was the youngest of the contestants in the final four and won front row tickets for Cyrus' “Wonder Tour” concert at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia.

“I was kind of starstruck,” a young Carpenter told the paper at the time. “It was a really awesome experience.”

During the pre-show, the pop superstar took home the award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for the Cowboy Carter track "II MOST WANTED" featuring Miley Cyrus. The gramophone marked Beyoncé's first-ever win in the Country category—making her the first Black woman to win a Grammy in the Country genre in 50 years, following The Pointer Sisters in 1975.

It wasn't her only milestone of the night: She also won the gramophone for Best Country Album for Cowboy Carter, making history as the first Black woman to win the award.

Beyoncé is the most-nominated artist at this year's ceremony with 11 nods, including nominations in several other country categories. Beyoncé's wins in the country categories are significant for the pop icon, who has been candid about Black artists' struggle to be recognized by the mainstream country music genre. No Black female solo artist has ever won a Grammy for a country song. It was only in recent years that Mickey Guyton made history as the first Black female solo artist to be recognized in the Country category, as her song "Black Like Me" was nominated for Best Country Solo Performance in 2021.

The only precedent was in 1975 when another artist coming into the genre from the outside, The Pointer Sisters, won Best Country Vocal Performance By A Duo Or Group for the song “Fairytale.”

Beyoncé's Grammy wins come hours after she announced her upcoming Cowboy Carter Tour at midnight on February 2nd. The superstar first teased a special announcement following her "Beyoncé Bowl" NFL Christmas Day performance, which she postponed in the wake of the devastating L.A. wildfires. Dates for the Cowboy Carter Tour are to be announced.

The pop star—who is the most-awarded artist in Grammys history—has more chances to take home coveted golden gramophones tonight. Many wonder whether Cowboy Carter will become her first album to take home Album of the Year, after four previous losses in the category, and if "TEXAS HOLD 'EM" will take home the prizes for Record and/or Song of the Year.

Three other Cowboy Carter tracks received nods: Best Pop Solo Performance for "BODYGUARD;" Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "LEVII's JEANS" featuring Post Malone; and Best Melodic Rap Performance for "SPAGHETII" featuring Linda Martell and Shaboozey.

The 2025 Golden Globes are well under way and, like any good awards show, its red carpet featured every possible variation of the little black dress. "At times it can be a heartbreaking process," she explained, "but I’ve always known the pieces to come back together and create something beautiful. Thank you to everyone who has been apart of making this year so special."

For fans of the singer, the phrase "something beautiful" will likely set off alarm bells, as the singer recently explained that her new album would be called exactly that.

The new album will feature a heaping helping of collaboration from her boyfriend Maxx Morando, the drummer for rock band Liily. And she has a long history of working with people she cares about.

"I worked with my dad forever. That’s how me and my ex-husband [Liam Hemsworth] met each other," she told Harper's Bazaar last month. "I've always worked with the people that I love. And Maxx just inspires me so much."

This album, however, may be a bit different than her previous ones, as she has called it a "visual album" just as much as a musical one—inspired by her "II Most Wanted" collaborator, Beyoncé, perhaps? "The visual component of this is driving the sound," Cyrus stated.

"It was important for me that every song has these healing sound properties. The songs, whether they’re about destruction or heartbreak or death, they’re presented in a way that is beautiful, because the nastiest times of our life do have a point of beauty," she poetically added. "They are the shadow, they are the charcoal, they are the shading. You can’t have a painting without highlights and contrast."

She even went on to compare her ambitions to another seminal album: Pink Floyd's The Wall—an album she and her brother have long loved. "My idea was making The Wall, but with a better wardrobe and more glamorous and filled with pop culture."

The Yeti coat trend has found a brave new victim—or should I say muse—in Miley Cyrus. In photos she shared to Instagram on Dec. 17, the excessive fashion muse seemingly teased her forthcoming visual album in nothing but shiny bare legs and a fluffy brown statement jacket.

Styled by Bradley Kenneth and shot by Thistle Brown, the pop legend looked tan, wild, and ready to rip right into her next era in a camel wool peacoat with a tonal shearling stole. Pulled from McQueen's Spring/Summer 2025 Pre-Collection, the investment piece's curly mane matched the brushed-out texture of her long honey blonde hair. The vibe was sexy and primal, just like the hairy humanoid creature said to haunt the Himalayan mountains.

Cyrus also wore a '70s-inspired tipped faux fur Yeti coat from Ferragamo's Resort 2025 collection to her November appearance on The Good Buy, a podcast from Harper’s Bazaar. That said, she's not only celebrity embracing the trend.

Miley Cyrus is setting the record straight when it comes to her controversial 2009 performance at the Teen Choice Awards.

During a recent conversation with her sister, Brandi Cyrus, for Spotify's Billions Club series, the "Flowers" singer revealed that it was her mother, Tish Cryus, who came up with the main idea for her eyebrow-raising performance.

At the time, her pole dancing routine caused a bit of controversy, as Cyrus was known for her more family-friendly role in Hannah Montana. At one point, Cyrus was even compared to the then-embattled pop star Britney Spears.

While the at-the-time 16-year-old's performance caused a stir, looking back Cyrus says she remembers what she wore more than the controversy that followed.

“The thing that I remember most about that performance was it was the first time I ever wore real diamond jewelry on stage," she explained to her sister. "So you guys remember a little old ice cream truck. I remember the diamonds."

The recent conversation with her sister was not the first time Cyrus has discussed the memorable performance. Last year, in a video posted on TikTok, Cyrus cleared the air when she explained that the pole was primarily used for "stability" and was not, in fact, a so-called "stripper pole" at all.

"I had cut 'Party in the U.S.A.' and I was doing my first performance for the Teen Choice Awards. My mom was like, 'I think it'd be really cool if she was in the trailer park, that's where we really do come from,' " Cyrus explained at the time.

"So, apparently me dancing on an ice cream cart with a stripper pole, but it wasn't a stripper pole, it was actually just for stability. I had a heel on! Guys, what do you want from me?" she continued. "Was I really gonna do my performance without dancing on top of an ice cream cart?"

It's been 18 years since Paris Hilton released a pop album. Now that her second album, Infinite Icon, is out in the world, the influencer and reality television star is making it clear that she has one famous friend to thank for inspiring her to hop back into the music pool.

"I've always loved music. It's always been such a huge passion of mine," Hilton told People in an exclusive interview for the publication's latest cover story. "But in those years since my first album, I have just been busy building my empire and working on the million projects I'm doing in all my different businesses."

It wasn't until her friend, Miley Cyrus, called to ask Hilton if she would join her on stage that Hilton says she started to consider a pop music comeback.

"When Miley asked me to come on New Year's Eve to surprise everyone and sing 'Stars Are Blind' with her and Sia, so magical being on stage and feeling those pop star vibes," she explained, going on to say that what Sia said to her after their performance solidified her desire to create another pop album.

"She looked at me and said, 'You were incredible last night. You were born to be a pop star. Why have you not released another album?'" Sia told Hilton, who went so far as to offer to make another album with the reality television star.

"I was like, 'Hell yes,'" Hilton added.

According to Hilton, Sia then sent her "60 songs that she'd written," and eventually went on to executive produce her latest album, Infinite Icon, which was released on Friday, Sept. 6.

"I'm just so grateful that I said yes to Miley that night to do 'Stars Are Blind' because that really just started me on this whole journey to do this second album," Hilton continued. "I couldn't be prouder of how it all turned out."

Nearly 20 years ago, in 2006, Hilton released her debut pop album, aptly named "Paris."

“My first album was very much on just how my life was at that point. It was my Party Girl-era," she told the Associated Press in a recent interview via Zoom. "The songs are just very carefree and fun and all about going out looking hot and having a great time."

She says that her latest album "has a lot more meaning to it," going on to say that her goal was to create songs that "really reflect on my life and my journey and be introspective."

Hilton went on to say that music has "always been a passion" of hers, and in addition to being inspired by Cyrus and Sia, she said there was a hole in pop music that she needed to fill.

“Someone needed to come and save pop music," she said. "So I’m here.”

Miley Cyrus shared some unfiltered thoughts on her family during a recent interview with David Letterman for his Netflix show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.

"I also inherited the narcissism from my father, that I don’t know anything about my own siblings," the singer told Letterman at one point, appearing to be half-joking.

When the host asked Miley if her dad was her hero, she considered her response carefully and said, "Honestly, my mom is my hero, and my father I'm grateful for—first, his genes. My dad has great hair, and I got that."

She went on to explain that Billy Ray Cyrus has always been a very grounded person, and added, "I'm grateful for being able to watch him ahead of me. He’s almost given me this map, and there's a map of what to do and what not to do, and he’s guided me on both."

The "Flowers" hitmaker explained that she's very different from her dad, by virtue of the extremely different upbringings they both had, with Billy Ray growing up around poverty and with divorced parents, while she had a very comfortable childhood.

"I have a lot of empathy and compassion for his childhood, which obviously developed to create the man that he is now, that I have a lot of love for," she said.

When Letterman asked Miley if she credited her mom Tish Cyrus and her dad Billy Ray each with 50% of her success today, she said, "They're different. They can't be weighed on the same scale, actually."

Still, Miley stressed, "Without my dad … who I am as a person wouldn’t exist. Because my dad as a creative and, like, as an artist, and the way that his brain works has always made me feel safer in my own mind, because we're very similar in some of our ideas."

Miley and Billy Ray costarred on her Disney Channel show Hannah Montana between 2006 and 2011, and portrayed a father and daughter who were very close to each other.

In real life, though, it sounds like right now Miley is closer to her mom—whose wedding she attended last summer alongside siblings Trace and Brandi, but which her siblings Noah and Braison skipped out on.

There have been rumors of Cyrus family strife since then, whose flames Miley fanned when she appeared to snub her dad in her Grammys acceptance speech this past February.
