Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie made a rare appearance with the Royal Family when they attended their cousin Peter Phillips’s wedding to Harriet Sperling on June 6. The duo’s disgraced parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, were not invited to the royal wedding of the year, but the York sisters attended alongside King Charles, Prince William and the rest of their family. Despite being “warmly welcomed,” royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams said that fans shouldn’t expect the sisters to be making official family appearances soon.

“This was a private royal event, therefore it was natural that Beatrice and Eugenie attended and were warmly welcomed,” Fitzwilliams told GB News. “However, their problem remains that they are still in the eye of an unravelling storm, however unfairly, because of their parents, who are notorious.”

Ex-Prince Andrew was arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office, and the investigation into the former Duke of York has since expanded into other offenses such as possible sexual crimes. Ferguson, on the other hand, has been staying out of public life, and was eventually spotted at a resort in the Austrian Alps in April.

Andrew and Sarah’s daughters have also been keeping a low profile until early May, when Princess Eugenie announced she was expecting her third child. The York sisters have been pictured out and about in London, but Peter and Harriet’s wedding is the first time they’ve been seen with the Royal Family since their father’s arrest.

Although they were pictured hugging and kissing their royal cousins at the wedding, held in the village of Kemble, England, Fitzwilliams points out that a public appearance for Eugenie and Beatrice is a different matter.

“It will therefore present a problem as their presence at an official royal event would, at this time with their parents in disgrace, overshadow it,” he said.

Multiple royal sources have reported that the sisters were banned from Royal Ascot this year, but in April, Hello! magazine reported that The King extended an invitation to his nieces if they’d like to come.

“The question is, would they want to go to a public event of that nature?” a friend of Beatrice and Eugenie told the outlet. “They will get criticism whether they go or not—and not just that event. They just can't win.”

Princess Diana and Sarah Ferguson knew each other long before they married into the Royal Family—it was Diana who set Ferguson up with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, after all. Although they were close friends at one time, their relationship fell apart for one major reason, as royal biographer Andrew Lownie shared in a new video.

Lownie, who recently released an updated version of his book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, told the Daily Mail that Sarah and Diana’s relationship was “a very complex one.” The women were friends from growing up in aristocratic circles, and once they were both married, Diana “would go to Sarah Ferguson every Sunday and they would moan about the Royal Family,” per Lownie.

As royal wives, they experienced similar struggles, with the author noting that they “felt very restricted within the confines of the Royal Family.” Sarah, for one, was often called a breath of fresh air by the press during the earlier days of her relationship with Andrew, but they soon turned on her, writing headlines like “the Duchess of Pork.”

Lownie said that although Diana related to her sister-in-law’s problems, she also had “concerns” about Fergie’s behavior. He noted that the late royal wondered whether “perhaps Fergie was too boisterous” and “that she was kind of undermining Diana’s own reputation,” which caused her to “distance herself” from the former Duchess of York.

The author also claimed that Diana "played a tough trick" on Ferguson. Instead of getting divorced at the same time, as she'd promised her sister-in-law, Diana waited to see how Sarah and Andrew's split played out and "learned from how the Royal Family treated" Fergie.

It’s long been claimed that the former friends stopped speaking over a shoe incident that was detailed in Fergie’s memoir, My Story. Ferguson claimed that she got plantar warts (also known as verrucas) from borrowing a pair of Diana’s shoes, but Lownie said that wasn’t the reason for their fallout.

“In fact, the reality was that Diana was very concerned that Sarah Ferguson might well be selling stories about her, and that relationship was never repaired,” he said in the Daily Mail’s video, adding that Fergie “pretended it had.”

Princess Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell, also backed up the wart story in his book The Royal Insider.

“When the book was published, Diana was furious that throughout its pages, there were references to her, William and Harry,” Burrell said. “Many thought that the fallout was caused by Sarah suggesting that she had contracted verrucas from shoes given to her by Diana, but that was not the case,” he added. “Diana felt used and refused to speak to Sarah.”

Prince Philip was an integral part of the Royal Family for decades, until his death on April 9, 2021. But according to one royal biographer, Queen Elizabeth's husband didn't have much affection for one particular family member.

During an appearance on the podcast, "The Firm: Blood, Lies, and Royal Succession," royal expert and biographer Jane Dismore shared (via Hello! magazine), "[Philip] didn't like Fergie [Sarah Ferguson]—she knew that she wasn't welcome when Prince Philip was around." Dismore further explained, "She's the one person that Prince Philip would not have anything to do with."

According to Dismore, many royal staff members shared Prince Philip's view of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's then-wife.

"Ferguson's idea of being royal was best summed up by one of the courtiers who said, 'Vulgar, vulgar, vulgar,'" Dismore explained. "She hadn't an idea of what being royal really meant. It wasn't just the awful lapses of judgment. It was an attitude to royal life."

This isn't the first time Prince Philip's alleged hatred of Ferguson has been raised.

When Ferguson's daughter, Princess Eugenie, got married in October 2018, there were rumors that Prince Philip might skip the nuptials in order to avoid his ex-daughter-in-law.

"[H]e hates Fergie so much he can't stand to be in the same place as her," a source told the Express at the time.

While Prince Philip did attend granddaughter Eugenie's royal wedding to Jack Brooksbank, he allegedly avoided Ferguson for the duration of the event.

Basically, it's pretty safe to say there was no love lost between Prince Philip and his son Andrew's ex-wife.

The royal wedding of the year is less than a month away, but when Princess Anne’s son, Peter Phillips, walks down the aisle with NHS nurse Harriet Sperling, three members of the Royal Family reportedly will not be in attendance.

A friend of the couple’s told Hello! magazine that the June 6 wedding—which marks the second marriage for both—will be “an intimate occasion with their close friends and immediate family around them in the Cotswolds.”

However, certain members of the Royal Family have reportedly not made the cut, according to the insider. “When and whether Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah Ferguson had been invited, it was probably not deemed appropriate to invite them. It’s Peter and Harriet’s special day, and clearly their attendance would cause a distraction to the whole day.”

The Royal Family has been keeping their distance from Andrew following his repeated scandals surrounding the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Prince Edward is the only royal who is known to have visited the ex-Duke of York in recent months following Andrew’s arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

Sarah and Andrew aside, there's a third member of the Royal Family who is reportedly not coming to the wedding. According to the couple's friend, Prince Harry will not be at the event.

“Peter and Harry haven’t spoken for several years and have simply lost touch, so he hasn’t been invited,” the source said.

Peter and Harriet will tie the knot at All Saints Church in the village of Kemble, close to Princess Anne's Gatcombe Park estate. Their friend said it's a meaningful location for both of them.

“It’s an area where they grew up and is very special to them both,” the insider said.

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank announced they were expecting their third child on May 4, with the couple sharing their happy news on Instagram. But in a surprising move amid the scandals surrounding Eugenie's father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Buckingham Palace also released a formal statement on the pregnancy. Eugenie and her older sister, Princess Beatrice, had previously been staying out of the public eye after their father’s arrest in February, but since the news broke, they’ve made several appearances. Now that the princesses are out and about again, one royal editor says that the Yorks could be making a comeback.

“Regardless of all that has gone on with her parents, this is wonderful news for Princess Eugenie and will give the whole royal family something positive to focus on after a tough few months,” Hello! magazine’s royal editor, Emily Nash, wrote in a piece for the outlet.

“It’s something joyful and hopeful in the middle of what has been a very grim chapter in the York family’s history,” Nash continued.

Baby Brooksbank will join big brothers August, 5, and Ernest, 2, and the new addition is expected to arrive this summer.

According to the Mail on Sunday, Princess Anne’s daughter, Zara Tindall, was the one who convinced Princess Eugenie to share her baby news with their uncle, The King. A source told the paper that Eugenie sent a letter to King Charles in an Easter card after skipping the royal festivities, and was “quite surprised by the warmth of the palace response.”

“The couple had feared a frostier reception and had been contemplating making a media announcement of their own without the palace being involved, but The King made contact and asked his officials to make a formal announcement,” the insider said.

Nash suggested that King Charles’s insistence on an official statement could mean a return to family events for Eugenie and Beatrice. “The King’s warm words show that he still has a great deal of affection for Eugenie and that he has not ostracised his nieces,” she wrote. “We might well start seeing them at family gatherings again.”

Princess Eugenie has been quiet on Instagram since the news of her father’s arrest in February, but on Monday, May 4, she shared an exciting announcement with a little help from her sons, August and Ernest.

“Baby Brooksbank due 2026! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️👶🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️” Eugenie captioned a sweet photo of August, 5, and Ernest, who will turn 3 at the end of May. In the picture, the boys are standing in front of a white picket fence and looking down at an ultrasound photo.

In turn, Buckingham Palace shared an official pregnancy announcement, writing, “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child together, due this summer.”

The palace shared that Ernest and August “are also very excited to have another sibling join the family” and that King Charles “has been informed and is delighted with the news.”

There was no mention of Princess Eugenie’s parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor or Sarah Ferguson, in the palace statement. However, the news release sends a strong message that Eugenie is still very much part of the Royal Family despite her father's scandals involving Jeffrey Epstein.

Eugenie and Jack’s happy announcement comes after paparazzi photos of the princess and her big sister, Princess Eugenie, were released while they were on a lunch date in London last Thursday. Later that evening, snaps of Eugenie showing off a prominent baby bump were taken following a dinner out with Jack in Notting Hill.

Before breaking her pregnancy news, Princess Eugenie shared some sweet photos of her husband, Jack, over the weekend to celebrate his 40th birthday. "Happy 40th my love.." she posted on her Instagram Story along with pictures of her husband on the beach and a throwback of them with Jack wearing a sombrero.

"Here's to another 16...xx" she ended the series of posts.

2026 seems to have been quite a challenging year for Sarah Ferguson. Having left the home she shared with her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Ferguson disappeared from the public eye, and onlookers have been wondering what her next move might be. According to one royal source, the former Duchess of York refuses to follow in ex-Prince Andrew's footsteps in an important respect.

Reporting on the ex-royal's current situation, the Sun explained, "Sarah Ferguson has turned down a string of interview requests while in exile in Austria—including from BBC's Newsnight."

As royal fans know only too well, ex-Prince Andrew gave a disastrous interview on Newsnight in 2019, which subsequently contributed to his expulsion from royal life. Rather than attempting to tell her side of the story, Ferguson is apparently keeping quiet.

A royal source told the outlet, "She has had a lot of offers including from Newsnight but is spending her time reflecting and has no intention of speaking out."

Just last month, reports suggested that the ex-duchess had been "snubbed" and wouldn't be receiving a lucrative book deal in the wake of her involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

The Daily Mail alleged, "No-one wants to enable her to 'cash in on the Epstein scandal,' Hollywood sources say."

According to the outlet, the former Duchess of York had "pitched the idea of a tell-all memoir to major U.S. publishing houses...but all of them have rejected her."

An additional source told the publication, "Any notion she might have had about keeping her American dream alive now seems to have been killed off completely...Commercially, as the failed book deal shows, she has become a pariah."

Basically, Ferguson appears to be retreating from the spotlight for the time being, according to royal sources.

Princess Kate and Prince William's royal wedding, which took place at Westminster Abbey in London on April 29, 2011, was watched by millions of viewers around the globe. But according to a royal expert, the Prince of Wales decided to ban one particular Royal Family member from his nuptials.

Royal expert Russell Myers's new book, William and Catherine: The Monarchy's New Era: The Inside Story, detailed Prince William's decision to not invite one of his aunts to his wedding.

"As with every wedding, there were controversies over the guest list," Myers explained. "In a sign of his growing stature, and with an eye on his future position within the family, William decided his aunt Sarah Ferguson would not be welcome at the wedding."

Elaborating on William's unexpected choice, Myers shared, "Sources claim that his decision was based on an anxiety that the [former] Duchess of York, who had been embroiled in numerous misdemeanors following her exit from the royal fold, would be an embarrassment."

In 2025, Ferguson's friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was revealed when emails between the pair were released. As a result, Prince William's decision not to invite the former duchess to his wedding in 2011 seems somewhat prescient.

Per Myers, "Fergie, as she had come to be known in the press, had been excommunicated from the family following her 1996 divorce [from Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor] and subsequent attraction to scandal."

In hindsight, Prince William's decision to exclude Ferguson from his wedding to Princess Kate might have been the correct call, after all.

Following renewed interest in her friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, Sarah Ferguson was forced to give up her royal titles and leave the home she shared with her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. Now, a new report has alleged that, per a royal source, Ferguson "feels incredibly betrayed" by one senior Royal Family member.

As reported by Heat, an insider alleged, "Fergie's very bitter, she's angry, and feels wronged by everyone in the family." The royal source continued, "She doesn't have the guts to confront anyone but when she's had a couple of drinks that's when the liquid courage kicks in and when she starts unloading."

According to the source, there's one senior royal who appears to be the target of Ferguson's ire. "[Queen] Camilla's been getting the brunt of Sarah's fury," the insider claimed. "They were very close friends for years so Sarah feels incredibly betrayed."

According to the royal source, Ferguson is also allegedly haunted by recent events, following new revelations about her connection to convicted sex offender Epstein. "What people don't see is just how low she's sunk, every time she opens a paper or goes online it's another reminder that she's completely on the outside and there's no real way back, and she's really struggling to come to terms with that," the source told Heat.

The former Duchess of York also reportedly isn't "dealing with" the situation in a very healthy way. "She's numbing it, and that's only making everything worse because it fuels this cycle where she starts ranting and then feels even more isolated the next day," the source explained. "Not that she'll take any accountability, if you ask her she's got every right to speak her mind."

Basically, if Ferguson and Camilla really were "close friends" at one point in time, it seems unlikely they'd be able to continue their friendship following the latest batch of Epstein allegations.

Earlier this year, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor moved out of Royal Lodge in Windsor and into Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate. His future home, Marsh Farm, is reportedly undergoing renovations ready for the former prince's arrival. But a new report has suggested that the ex-Duke of York has been instructed to "leave no trace" of his existence at his former property. Plus, Andrew's latest hobby has been revealed as "sitting in" a "moss-riddled" caravan.

Speaking to the Mirror, one royal source claimed, "Andrew was told everything has to be out [of Royal Lodge] and absolutely nothing was to be left behind. He hasn't been back to collect anything...Everything has to be out by the weekend and we've been told no trace of the former occupants or staff should remain."

The publication also alleged, "A number of skips have been loaded and removed from the estate, with removal vans seen coming and going. Staff have also been setting fire to further unwanted belongings of their own."

According to the outlet, "Palace sources insisted the burning of furniture and other items on the estate belonged to Andrew's former staff. "

The Mirror also alleged that the former duke "appeared downcast" while looking at some horses, following reports that he was "banned from riding" altogether.

As for how Andrew is remaining busy, the Mail on Sunday claimed the ex-royal has an unusual new hobby. "The reality of [Andrew's] radically altered situation was underlined when he took delivery of a secondhand static caravan a few days ago, which has been propped up on bricks in his back garden, bearing signs of moss," the publication explained, while labeling the vehicle "moss-riddled."

A royal source elaborated to the outlet, "Andrew uses it himself, would you believe, and what's more shocking is, he likes it. He really is a changed man; he's enjoyed sitting in the caravan. It's novel for him."

An additional source told the outlet, "People thought the caravan was for his staff, but he doesn't really have any. The staff who work elsewhere at Sandringham already help out, but many are reluctant to live in."

Until renovations on his new home are complete, Andrew will reportedly be "enjoying sitting" in his "moss-riddled" caravan.

For many years, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson called themselves “the happiest divorced couple in the world.” So happy, in fact, that there was rampant public speculation that the duo would eventually remarry—especially since Fergie lived with Andrew at Royal Lodge before they were evicted by The King.

In his biography Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, author Andrew Lownie chronicles the highs and lows of Sarah and Andrew's relationship, including the remarriage rumors that followed the couple for years after their 1996 divorce.

Referencing a 12-page interview in the June 2000 issue of Tatler, Lownie writes that the former Duke of York slipped in a comment about his relationship with Ferguson.

“I don’t rule remarriage out and I certainly don’t rule it in,” Andrew told the publication, adding, “If ever the opportunity arose, I do not know what I would do, as it is not in the plan.”

Lownie noted that "bookies slashed the odds on remarriage from 33-1 to 3-1," but a poll in the Daily Mail at the time “showed that nearly 90 percent of its readers wanted the couple to remarry.”

However, Ferguson had her own thoughts on the matter. “There is not a chance of her putting her head back into that lion’s cage,” a friend of Sarah’s said, per Lownie.

Although marrying Andrew again appeared to be out of the question, Fergie gave an interview to the Daily Mail in 2018 stating her devotion to the former Duke of York. “My duty is to him. I am so proud of him. I stand by him and always will,” she shared.

“The way we are is our fairy tale,” she continued. “Although we are not a couple, we really believe in each other.” Fast forward to 2026, and it's unlikely she'd deliver the same remarks.

Princess Eugenie is marking her 36th birthday on Monday, March 23, but with the multiple scandals involving her parents Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, royal sources note the celebrations will likely be rather quiet. After Eugenie's father was arrested in February and both the princess and her sister, Princess Beatrice, were mentioned in multiple emails in the Epstein files, one royal expert said Eugenie is facing a “personal crisis.”

It’s unknown whether Princess Eugenie and her family are spending her birthday in the U.K. or in Portugal, where they live part of the year. Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told the Mirror that no matter where Eugenie is, she’ll likely keep a “low profile.”

"Both Eugenie and Beatrice must be feeling the heat of the headlines that are now turning on them. And so I doubt whether this birthday will be one she will particularly feel like celebrating in a big way,” Bond said.

Princess Beatrice was photographed leaving a Notting Hill bar with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi over the weekend, but Bond said that it would be surprising if Princess Eugenie celebrated her birthday in any public way.

“Both princesses seem to have decided that keeping a low profile for now is the best course of action, and I suspect that is how Eugenie will spend her birthday: out of public view and certainly not openly with either of her parents,” she said.

The sisters have not spoken about their father’s association with Jeffrey Epstein or Andrew's arrest, but the Sun’s royal editor, Matt Wilkinson, said Beatrice and Eugenie are “probably going through a complete and utter personal crisis.”

In an episode of Hello! magazine’s “A Right Royal Podcast,” Wilkinson said, “I've got sympathy for both Beatrice and Eugenie, and I'd like to see them somehow rehabilitated and used properly in the Royal Family. I think The King wants her, wants them both, to not pay for the sins of their parents, but I'm not sure there is mass public sympathy for them at the moment.”

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have likely had a challenging few months due to their parents's involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. According to the Mail on Sunday, concerns have been raised about Princess Beatrice's marriage to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. "Edo jetted 4,500 miles to the glorious elegance of Palm Beach," the outlet noted. "Yes, he was there to promote his design business, Banda, and speak at a conference, but the optics of not being there for his wife of nearly six years are not good." One source told the publication, "Things haven't been great for a while between them, but Beatrice has been determined to soldier on and forge a path through."

The source continued, "She wants to stay together, but he seems more and more distracted by work and travel. Just when she needs him most, he's been pulling away."

Meanwhile, an additional source claimed to the outlet, "He's really worried his in-laws will affect his business...He's all about himself at the moment. You have to feel for Beatrice."

Princess Eugenie's husband, Jack Brooksbank, is reportedly taking a different approach to the situation. "Eugenie's husband is said to be standing by his wife amid the ensuing Epstein scandal—but refuses to allow disgraced Sarah Ferguson to move into the family home," the Daily Mail shared.

A source also claimed, "His first loyalty has to be to his wife and their two young children. The whole sordid affair has already brought them a great deal of unwarranted attention and he won't do anything to increase that."

According to the publication, Eugenie and Brooksbank are allegedly aligned when it comes to her mom. "Sarah is difficult to live with and they don't want the responsibility of looking after her at the moment," a source alleged. "That's not to say they are not concerned about her welfare—they just don't actually want her to be living with them, even temporarily."

For now, at least, Beatrice and Eugenie are likely hoping that there won't be any new revelations regarding their mom and dad's friendship with Epstein so their lives can return to some semblance of normalcy.

The ex-duchess even claimed to have "communicated" with Queen Elizabeth via the sweet pups. And according to the Mail on Sunday, Ferguson allegedly once floated an "extraordinary plan to sell genetic replicas of the monarch's beloved pets."

Per the outlet, "Described by Hollywood producers as a 'bold and controversial business venture,' the tasteless idea would have involved the former Duchess of York trying to make money by selling the genetically replicated corgis 'to other dog lovers around the world.'"

Of course, animal cloning remains "highly contentious, with experts warning it can produce horrible abnormalities...But it can be lucrative," the Mail on Sunday explained.

A source told the publication, "She was pushing to get back into TV and make some money." They continued, "She came up with the idea of featuring The Queen's corgis in a show. And that included the idea of breeding them. Bizarre as it sounds, the idea of cloning them was discussed."

Per a synopsis for the series, shared by the Mail on Sunday, "But as she navigates the complex world of genetics and royal protocol, Sarah must also grapple with her own personal demons and strained relationship with the Royal Family."

A source further alleged, "Sarah seemed to be up for anything provided she was paid—and particularly if she could do some traveling in the process and meet rich aristos who might like to own a corgi."

Royal author Richard Fitzwilliams commented on the proposal, telling the publication, "[To] consider cloning the late Queen's beloved dogs for financial gain is unbelievably grotesque and utterly bizarre."

Eventually, "the project was abandoned," according to the outlet, which is probably for the best.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was forced to move out of his home, Royal Lodge in Windsor, after new details emerged regarding his association with Jeffrey Epstein. As well as losing all of his royal titles, the ex-Duke of York agreed to move on to the Sandringham estate, instead. Now, royal experts are suggesting that the former prince might be made to move properties once again.

The Sun's royal editor, Matt Wilkinson, appeared on Hello! magazine's "A Right Royal Podcast," and said, "The Royal Family use Wood Farm a lot and the Easter holidays are coming up, so there may be wider extended members of the family that would want to pop up for a holiday, a free holiday, basically, and want to use Wood Farm."

Andrew is temporarily staying at Wood Farm while renovations are completed on his new home, Marsh Farm.

Wilkinson continued, "So Andrew's got to get into Marsh Farm next door pretty sharpish. They've put the gates up, these big security gates outside. They've been working around the clock for the last couple of weeks."

The royal expert also noted that Andrew's furniture was seen being delivered to the property, along with kitchen appliances and carpets. "It looks like the kitchen has been completely done," Wilkinson noted. "And then we had the removal vans, which [contain] artwork that's been in storage, turn up this week to move into Marsh Farm."

As for when the ex-duke will be made to leave Wood Farm, Wilkinson shared on the podcast, "We were told that we were to expect Andrew to be into his new final exile by Easter, which is the first weekend in April [2026]. The royal expert elaborated, "But what can Andrew do? He can't get a job somewhere. He can't deliver parcels to make ends meet. He's sort of stuck so King Charles will still financially support him, but what that will look like, who knows?"

Larcombe also suggested that new revelations contained in the latest release from the Epstein files are particularly damning to the ex-Duke of York. "I think with the latest tranche of emails, it definitely just stinks, it's rotten, you know," he told the outlet.

Meanwhile, Epstein's emails also allegedly revealed Queen Elizabeth's undying support of her son, Andrew, in spite of his connection to a convicted sex offender.

As reported by GB News, Andrew's former advisor David Stern told Epstein in an email on March 9, 2011, "PA [Prince Andrew] has full support of his mom, only dealing with you was 'unwise.'"

In a message dated November 27, 2010, the convicted sex offender asked his associate David Stern, "Who talks?" in reference to a negative piece of press about the former duchess.

Responding to Epstein, Stern wrote, "No idea! Details in the article seem very accurate." Epstein replied, "I know she called me yesterday...[J]ohnny blah blah." Stern retorted, "She is terrified about Johnny. He must know some dirty stuff."

Epstein and Stern's conversation reportedly related to Ferguson's former personal assistant, Johnny O'Sullivan, to whom she allegedly owed approximately $136,000 at the time.

"Let time do the work," the PR pro added. "Silence is not weakness here. It is the least damaging option."

Speaking to Marie Claire in January, Entitled author Andrew Lownie said Sarah's business opportunities will be significantly impacted by her association with Epstein.

"No sensible business or charity wants to have any association with her," he said. "I've described her in the past as the 'Houdini of the Royal Family' but even in Australia and U.S. she has no future. She has been caught out in too many lies."

However, Smith said she doesn't think reinvention is impossible for Ferguson, with time and a careful read of "public sentiment."

"If I were advising her, I would be strongly discouraging any idea of a reinvention or comeback at this point," she said. "This is not the moment to go large, reposition, or seek visibility. That would be a serious misread of public sentiment."

Smith warned that any attempt at business ventures or a public comeback would be a massive mistake for Ferguson at the moment. "I think it would be career suicide to try anything this year, and perhaps even next," she told the Express. "It really depends on how all of this plays out— but for now, absolutely not. No way."

She added that a comeback is only possible "when the public is open to it," adding, "Right now, they are not."

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor expressed his frustration about being kept out of the royal limelight in a series of emails that were released as part of the Epstein files over the weekend. The Daily Mail shared details of the message, which a friend of Andrew and Sarah Ferguson's sent to Jeffrey Epstein in 2011 after a photo of Andrew and the late sex offender walking in Central Park was published.

The female friend wrote: "'A' is sad and frustrated. Considering abdication but he's like a zoo animal, no way now for him to thrive." The message continued by alleging that Queen Elizabeth told her favorite son to seek employment. "Queen said np royal list (sic), get a job," the email read.

The woman also wrote about taking her laundry to Royal Lodge, adding, "I hope that wasn't rude. A said yes, but S wasn't amused. I needed yoga clothes."

Speaking of Andrew and Sarah, Epstein replied and told the friend, "Careful - there is a Daily Mail rat, close to him, not her. He is unaware."

The former Duke of York moved out of his longtime Windsor home, Royal Lodge, on February 2, as confirmed by multiple outlets. He's now staying at Wood Farm, the Sandringham retreat Prince Philip stayed in during his final years, until renovations are completed on his new home, Marsh Farm.

In other messages released last week, Ferguson wrote to Epstein and compared herself to Tudor wives who were beheaded for their mistakes.

Per the media outlet, she wrote to the convicted sex offender: "Just as I always said, no woman has ever left the Royal Family with her head, and the [sic] cannot behead me, therefore they will discredit me. Totally to obliteration. I have no words."

King Charles and the rest of the Royal Family have not yet spoken out after emails and photos involving Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor were released as part of the Epstein files this weekend. But while attending the World Governments Summit in Dubai on February 3, Prince Edward was questioned by a CNN journalist about how he was "coping" during the "difficult" and "close to home" situation.

The Duke of Edinburgh kept his response vague and did not mention his brother, replying, "Well, with the best will in the world, I’m not sure this is the audience that is the least bit interested in that," per CNN.

He added, "They all came here to listen to education, solving the future, but no, I think it’s all really important, always, to remember the victims and who are the victims in all this."

Prince Edward is in the United Arab Emirates to support the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation. The duke serves as chairman of the organization's board of trustees and will be championing "the importance of education, particularly non-formal education and experiential learning, to develop skills and opportunities for young people worldwide," per Buckingham Palace.

Over the weekend, photos of the former Duke of York kneeling over a woman on the ground were released as well as numerous emails involving both Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.

In one message, Ferguson allegedly wrote to Epstein: "You are a legend. I really don't have the words to describe, my love, gratitude for your generosity and kindness. Xx I am at your service. Just marry me." Other emails mentioned introducing Andrew to a 26-year-old Russian woman, and the ex-duke reportedly wrote to Epstein: "Wish I was still a pet in your family."

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson have once again been highlighted in the Epstein files, with photos and emails between the divorced couple and late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein released over the weekend. The former Duke and Duchess of York's daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, were mentioned in some of Ferguson's emails, and according to one source, they're "mortified."

Speaking to the Daily Mail, a source close to the York sisters said Beatrice and Eugenie "are aghast at what they have read" in the Epstein files. In one email, Ferguson referenced her youngest daughter having gone away on a "shagging weekend," while in another message, she congratulated Epstein on the arrival of his new "baby boy," alleging he had fathered a secret child in 2011.

Photos of Andrew were also included in the files, with a series of snapshots featuring the former Duke of York kneeling over a woman on the ground.

"They are mortified by the emails their mother has sent to Epstein," the insider continued. "It is so embarrassing for them." The source also alleged that Eugenie and Beatrice weren't "told much," so the revelations would have come as a surprise to the sisters.

"We don't believe the girls [Beatrice and Eugenie] were told much about what has just emerged [in the latest Epstein files release], and they will simply be aghast at just how close their parents were to this appalling man," the source added.

One message claims that Ferguson brought Beatrice and Eugenie to lunch with Epstein during a trip to Miami in July 2009. "In just week, after your lunch, it seems the energy has lifted," Sarah wrote. "I have never been more touched by a friends kindness than your compliment to me in front of my girls. Thank you Jeffrey for being the brother I have always wished for."

The former Duchess of York called the late sex offender "a legend" in another email, adding, "I really don't have the words to describe, my love, gratitude for your generosity and kindness. Xx I am at your service . Just marry me."

Meanwhile, the ex-duke was pictured riding a horse near Royal Lodge on Monday, February 2, despite numerous reports that he was schedule to move out of his Windsor home by the end of January.

The latest batch of Epstein files has seemingly implicated Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor even further in Jeffrey Epstein's affairs. While the former Prince Andrew can be seen crouching on all fours in eyebrow-raising photographs, Ferguson seemingly sent some fairly inappropriate emails to the convicted sex offender.

In an email sent by Ferguson in January 2010, the former Duchess of York allegedly told Epstein (via the Daily Mail), "You are a legend. I really don't have the words to describe, my love, gratitude for your generosity and kindness. Xx I am at your service. Just marry me."

As noted by the publication, "Epstein had been released from Palm Beach County Jail in July 2009, having served 13 months of an 18-month sentence for soliciting sex from girls as young as 14." Hence, Ferguson's email seems to have been sent following Epstein's initial conviction and prison sentence.

Per the Daily Mail, Ferguson allegedly sent an email to Epstein in September 2009, telling him to marry a woman with a "great body," before reportedly writing, "Ok well marry me and then we will employ her."

Along with her ex-husband Andrew, Ferguson was demoted by King Charles in 2025. As well as no longer being allowed to use any official royal titles, the former duchess has been forced to vacate her home, Royal Lodge in Windsor.

Royal biographer Andrew Lownie—who recently released Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York—suggested that the royals should've acted much quicker when it came to Andrew and Ferguson. Lownie told the Daily Mail, "[The Royal Family] had plenty of opportunities to discipline Andrew, to remove him from his posts in the past to deal with him, but they've only done so because of public pressure and media pressure."

Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor were demoted by King Charles in 2025, and forced to relinquish their royal titles. However, the release of additional Epstein files has caused the former Duke and Duchess of York to hit the headlines once again. And according to one royal biographer, Sarah and Andrew have been caught in a plethora of lies over the years, which has permanently damaged their reputations.

"You can't believe a single word either Andrew or Sarah Ferguson says and I learned that over my four years of research," royal author Andrew Lownie told the Daily Mail. "They lie even about things they don't need to lie about. So, I'm afraid their reputations are absolutely in the dust. Neither of them can ever recover from what's been emerging."

Lownie—the author of Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York—also alleged that Epstein used Andrew to gain access to other Royal Family members. "Epstein got very close to the Royal Family and he was using Andrew to get to [Queen Elizabeth]," Lownie suggested to the outlet. "I think Epstein thought that he could be doing business things for The Queen."

The royal biographer continued, "I have no doubt that the members of the Royal Family probably met Epstein, that hasn't emerged yet. The family were helping Andrew, whether inadvertently or advertently, knowing who the people were." Lownie explained, "But, he had the support of the family for what he was doing, so it wouldn't surprise me to have The Queen meeting some of these people, like Epstein."

Lownie further alleged, "Andrew was very integral to the whole operation. He would have seen everything, he would have known an awful lot."

Basically, it sounds as though Ferguson and Andrew will struggle to make any sort of comeback following the latest Epstein allegations.

Following the release of additional Epstein files, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has, once again, found himself connected to convicted sex offender and disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. In particular, one royal author believes that the Royal Family had "plenty of opportunities to discipline" the ex-Duke of York.

The biographer also referenced his own research into the former Duke and Duchess of York, saying, "This is only a very small percentage of the material the [Department of Justice] DOJ collected. There's also more material with the Epstein estate, which they could release if they wished to."

Lownie also condemned Andrew, alleging that the former royal had insight into Epstein's criminal activities. "Andrew was very integral to the whole operation," the biographer noted. "He would have seen everything, he would have known an awful lot."

The author continued, "In the last few years, he's refused to apologize to the victims in any of the statements. He's never cooperated with law enforcement or the victim's lawyers. He is deeply, deeply implicated."

As reported by People, Epstein allegedly sent an email to Andrew September 27, 2010, saying that he would "need private time" with the ex-duke. Just one month prior, Epstein had completed his house arrest sentence after pleading guilty to "solicitation of prostitution and solicitation of prostitution with a minor under the age of 18."

It appears as though, regardless of Epstein's serious convictions, Andrew seemingly remained in contact with the disgraced businessman.

A new batch of the Epstein files have been released, with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson featuring prominently in the documents. Notably, Ferguson reportedly described Jeffrey Epstein—who was a registered sex offender at the time—as "the brother I have always wished for."

As reported by the Daily Mail, emails between Epstein and Ferguson reveal just how intimate their friendship was, even following the disgraced financier's conviction. On August 3, 2009, the former Duchess of York allegedly wrote to Epstein, "In just [a] week, after your lunch, it seems the energy has lifted."

She reportedly continued, "I have never been more touched by a friend's kindness than your compliment to me in front of my girls [Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie]." Ferguson further wrote, "Thank you Jeffrey for being the brother I have always wished for."

According to the outlet, Ferguson told Epstein in another email, "I am so proud of you," and called him "a legend."

Per the Daily Mail, additional documents reveal that Ferguson sent Epstein an invitation to the former Prince Andrew's 50th birthday party. "Beatrice, Eugenie, and I would love to invite you to celebrate the 50 years of Papa/Andrew," the message explained. "It will be on February 26th 2010...at St. James's Palace, London...It will be suits and cocktail dresses, and you know me, mysterious mischief, so bring your presents, your presence, and your humor!"

Royal expert Ingrid Seward previously told the Sun, "I'm afraid every time Epstein's name is mentioned, Andrew is going to be mentioned alongside him, and that looks like a forever situation." Seward continued, "His association with Epstein has actually completely destroyed his life. And probably destroyed the life of his family."

As evidenced by the latest release from the Epstein files, the connections between Ferguson, her ex-husband, and the convicted sex offender will seemingly continue.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's move to the Sandringham estate is happening any day now, and as he packs up Royal Lodge, it seems most of his staff won't be making the move to Norfolk. The former duke was evicted from his Windsor home by King Charles in the wake of Andrew's friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Now, Andrew is facing a much different life as he downsizes from his 30-room estate to Marsh Farm, a small property that was once occupied by a tenant farmer.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, one source said that Andrew's remaining staff—including a "butler, chef, gardener and housekeepers"—are being given a "generous" amount of money as they leave the former Duke of York's employ.

"They obviously don't want to move to Norfolk, and as most of them are nearing retirement age, they've basically been made redundant on generous terms," the insider said.

The source continued, "I suspect that Andrew will have more of a skeleton staff when he eventually moves into Marsh Farm, as it's not realistic to employ so many people to look after one person on their own."

Andrew and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, who has lived with the former Duke of York since 2008, are reportedly due to leave Royal Lodge by the end of the month. But with extensive renovations taking place to get Marsh Farm ready for a new occupant, Andrew might be seeking out alternative arrangements.

Although it's been suggested the ex-duke could temporarily move into one of the other small properties on King Charles's expansive estate, the Daily Mail's source suggested he might "live in Sandringham House until Marsh Farm is finished."

2025 was a challenging year for King Charles after his brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, faced further accusations regarding his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The King acted swiftly, demoting his brother, removing all of Andrew's royal titles, and evicting him from Royal Lodge in Windsor. But according to a royal expert, there are several reasons why the monarch acted "more brutally than people expected."

Speaking to GB News, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said, "I think [The King] is acting in the way that he feels appropriate, which was more brutal than a lot of people expected." The expert continued, "He removed the title of prince. Some people speculated that it wouldn't happen. I think that this was necessary given the circumstances."

Fitzwilliams also suggested that, due to the secretive nature of the Epstein files, King Charles would have been unaware of the severity of allegations about Andrew's behavior. "It appeared belated because [the Epstein files] had gone on for so many years in different ways," the expert shared.

The royal expert elaborated, "It's been very difficult for The King because he does not know what is going to be released." Per Fitzwilliams, "The humiliation is unique, but it really has piled it on."

Royal author Christopher Andersen previously suggested that the release of Epstein and Andrew accuser Virginia Giuffre's memoir, Nobody's Girl, was the "final straw" for King Charles. "You can't escape the feeling that there is more—something even more damaging that would force The King to take such drastic action," Andersen told Us Weekly.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is experiencing some major changes in 2026. Following renewed interest in his association with disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the former Duke of York gave up all of his royal titles. He is also set to leave his home, Royal Lodge in Windsor, for a more discreet property in Sandringham. And according to some sources, the ex-prince might be ready to start dating again.

Andrew's ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, will also be leaving Royal Lodge, having previously maintained a close relationship with her former spouse. As reported by Closer, "Having previously called Andrew...her 'soulmate' despite their divorce...the intentions of her...ex-husband have prompted Sarah to finally cut ties."

"It's like having the golden handcuffs taken off, or at least that's how she’s trying to spin it," a source told the outlet. "Now that she's no longer hitching her wagon to Andrew it's opened up a lot of choices to her, or at least she's convinced it has."

According to the publication, Sarah's alleged decision to look for romance has given Andrew the "green light" to pursue dating, too.

One source claimed, "He's even talking about how he wants to get back to dating." However, the outlet noted that the prospect of Andrew dating has the Royal Family "bracing themselves for yet more humiliation in the months ahead."

Speaking to Closer, one source explained, "The royals will be relieved to see him go, but they'll also be worrying about what he might get up to once he's off and operating completely on his own terms." The source continued, "Instead of lying low and accepting some consequences like they'd hoped, he's doubling down on the same arrogance that landed him here in the first place."

As for Sarah's alleged romance journey, one source told Closer, "She says there's no reason she can't throw herself back into the dating game and land a rich man to make the rest of her days a whole lot easier." They continued, "She's always had a certain charm that attracts powerful and wealthy men and in her view she's not lost that."

Sarah Ferguson previously praised her relationship with ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. However, following the ex-Duke of York's demotion and eviction from Royal Lodge, Ferguson has reportedly reevaluated her "friendship" with her former husband.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams spoke about the status of Sarah and Andrew's relationship, telling GB News, "It will be a very substantial change from the image of this idea that they were the world's most friendly divorced couple."

It has also been alleged that the former Duchess of York is "carefully considering" offers, the publication reported. "Andrew has had his chance to tell the story," a source reportedly told the Sun (via GB News). "Now it's Fergie's time."

An additional source reportedly told the Sun, "There's a danger of her going rogue and saying things that could cause embarrassment for King Charles and Queen Camilla, or other members of the Royal family. But there's not much they can do to stop her."

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is reportedly preparing to move out of Royal Lodge in Windsor. However, several reports have claimed that the former prince's new property—Marsh Farm in Sandringham—is far from ideal. In fact, rumors are suggesting that the ex-Duke of York's new home might have a rather unfortunate "pest control" problem.

As reported by the Sun, "Shamed Andrew" has made his "first secret trip to measure up curtains at his new home in exile ahead of Royal Lodge exit."

The outlet noted, "He traveled there this week to look around the place, which now has extra security...It was thought he will stay at neighboring Wood Farm Cottage until Marsh Farm is finished."

A so-called friend of the former duke told the publication, "It was the first time he's seen his new house and he is resigned to the fact that this is his future."

The friend further explained, "He's come to the conclusion that he has to get on with the rest of his life and accepts he has to make the best of it."

An additional Sun report revealed, "Pest control were seen outside shamed Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's exile pad yesterday as renovation work continued."

The publication noted that it's "unclear" why a pest control company was present at Marsh Farm, "but they usually deal with removing unwanted rats, mice, squirrels, and wasp nests."

As a result, it's entirely possible that the former Prince Andrew is handling an infestation of some kind at his new home.

Per the Sun, "removal vans" have reportedly been present at Marsh Farm, suggesting the ex-duke is planning to move out of Royal Lodge fairly soon. Hopefully, the new property will be pest-free before then.

Now that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson have been evicted from Royal Lodge, they'll be living separate lives for the first time in nearly two decades. Andrew is set to move to the Sandringham estate in the coming weeks, while Ferguson is looking for her own new home. But as biographer Andrew Lownie tells Marie Claire, even if Sarah and Andrew's relationship will likely never be the same, their focus will always be on their daughters.

Ferguson and the former Duke of York have been divorced since 1996, but have lived together at Royal Lodge since 2008. Their unusual living situation has led numerous people to ask the former duke and duchess if they'd ever consider getting remarried, but Lownie says Sarah and Andrew "were always more business partners than married couple."

In his book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, Lownie writes that Andrew wasn't keen on remarriage. "Given Sarah's weaknesses, she wouldn't make an appropriate royal any more," he reportedly told a friend. However, the two have always been united on their daughters.

Princess Beatrice, 37, and Princess Eugenie, 35, are both moms of two, and Andrew and Sarah are active grandparents to August, Ernest, Sienna and Athena. "Everything now is about the daughters," Lownie tells Marie Claire.

He says that Beatrice and Eugenie—who attended Christmas with The King and the rest of the Royal Family in December—"have been passed the baton" in terms of carrying on "their royal status." Although the sisters are not senior working royals, they occasionally carrying out engagements on behalf of The King, and he's said to want to keep his nieces close.

"The deal is parents will fall on their swords as long as the daughters are taken care of," Lownie adds.

Ferguson has always claimed that she and Andrew were "the happiest divorced couple in the world," telling the Daily Mail in 2018, "We’re divorced to each other, not from each other."

However, when speaking of the fallout from Sarah and Andrew's association with Jeffrey Epstein, Lownie says, "The 'happiest divorced couple' claim quickly ended once Fergie no longer had a title and [won't be] living at Royal Lodge."

"They are both toxic but Fergie may now feel she is better off on her own," he adds.

While social media is proclaiming 2026 to be the new 2016, for Sarah Ferguson, it's looking a lot more like 1996. The late '90s marked Sarah and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's divorce, a turning point when the former Duchess of York lost her HRH status and suffered a significant fallout from the charities and brands she worked with at the time. Thirty years later, the situation seems strikingly familiar in the wake of Sarah and Andrew's links to Jeffrey Epstein.

When Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was stripped of his titles in October 2025, Sarah also lost her own Duchess of York title. Although the former couple has been divorced since 1996, Ferguson could still use her duchess title, and leaned on it both "socially and financially," per Andrew Lownie, author of Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York.

Lownie tells Marie Claire that for Ferguson, "her title was everything to her," but now "she no longer has that calling card." Faced with "her loss of reputation and a bleak financial future," Sarah must now reinvent herself once again. Reports indicate that the former Duchess of York is looking for a home near Windsor as the eviction date for Sarah and Andrew at their longtime home, Royal Lodge, looms.

It was March 17, 1996 when Andrew was given orders to divorce Ferguson. The couple had been separated since 1992, but after four years of scandalous headlines about Fergie, Queen Elizabeth "finally lost patience with the duchess," a palace source told Lownie in his book, adding, "It all had to end."

Similarly to 2025, the then-duchess had to give up her HRH styling with the divorce. No longer being called Her Royal Highness was said to be "a particular blow" for Sarah, per Lownie. He quoted Ferguson's friend Madame Vasso as saying that Fergie "always stressed how important being an HRH was to her, not least because she felt it gave her the respect she believed was her due as a member of the Royal Family."

Ferguson's romantic escapades and questionable business dealings had already damaged her reputation, but her divorce from Andrew sealed the deal in '96. A charity insider said at the time, per Entitled, that businesses didn't "want to be associated with someone with such a bad press" and there was "no longer any feel-good factor in being connected to the Duchess of York."

Although Ferguson experienced a comeback both in the Royal Family and in public life in recent years, the charity insider's sentiment rings true once again in 2026.

Ferguson was once again invited to Easter and Christmas with the royals after Queen Elizabeth's death, and she saw success penning historical novels and taking part in talk shows. The former Duchess of York was even credited as having "saved Christmas" in 2024 by convincing Andrew to stay home from Sandringham in the wake of his Chinese spy scandal.

But in September 2025, a 2011 email she sent to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein revealed that she called him a "supreme friend" and apologized for speaking out against him in the press.

While Ferguson has weathered many a media storm in the past four decades and always managed to reinvent herself, Lownie tells Marie Claire that this time, Sarah "has run out of lives and is totally discredited."

In the '90s, Sarah turned to writing nonfiction as a way to stay afloat, securing a deal with Simon & Schuster for her first memoir, My Story, which was published in late '96. And after Ferguson was "caught selling access to Andrew" in 2010, Lownie notes that the ex-duchess "recovered from that, as in 1996, by reinventing herself."

While the author says that Fergie "went on chat shows playing the part of victim, claiming she had learnt her lesson" and "blaming her childhood and anyone she could think of," it's unlikely to work this time.

He adds, "There are rumors of discussions with crisis management companies and presenting herself as an example of how even from the lowest position, one can rebuild one's life, but I think few will buy it as anything more than a cynical attempt at survival."

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, relinquished all of his royal titles in 2025, and agreed to leave his home, Royal Lodge in Windsor. The ex-Duke of York was forced to retreat from public Royal Family life following renewed interest in his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. According to one royal expert, Andrew's daughter, Princess Eugenie, isn't coping well with the changing dynamics within her family.

As reported by the Mail on Sunday, Princess Eugenie is allegedly "refusing to speak to Andrew and did not visit him at Christmas." Per the outlet, "Eugenie, who established The Anti-Slavery Collective to help counter sex trafficking, is said to be taking a dim view of her father's refusal to apologize to Epstein's victims."

Speaking to the publication, one source claimed, "There is no contact at all, nothing. It's Brooklyn Beckham level—she has completely cut him off." Brooklyn, of course, appears to be in a feud with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, which was allegedly caused by disagreements regarding his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham.

Per the Mail on Sunday, Eugenie's sister, Princess Beatrice, is allegedly handling the situation differently. "Beatrice is trying to walk the fine line of not cutting her father off and yet remaining close with the Royal Family," the source claimed. "They aren't exactly in regular and close contact at the moment, but Eugenie isn't trying to walk that line. She's not speaking to him."

Meanwhile, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told the Daily Express, "The York brand has been toxic for years, but the family have, until now, had the reputation of being close-knit." He continued, "The report that Princess Eugenie is now estranged from her father is a seismic change."

Fitzwilliams also suggested that Andrew and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson should seriously consider leaving the country. "It would probably be best for Beatrice and Eugenie if both of their parents did, so they could exist in a more positive environment and be seen to be totally separate from them," he told the outlet.

For now, at least, it appears as though Princess Eugenie is taking some time out from her father.

According to insiders, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's eviction from Royal Lodge, which originally could've been delayed up until October, is happening faster than expected. The former Duke of York is due to move to his new Sandringham estate home, Marsh Farm, as soon the end of January, per the Sun, but it seems that the run-down property likely won't be ready in time.

Sources tell the media outlet that Andrew is being offered "temporary accommodation" until renovations on his new home are complete, with the ex-duke staying "in an even smaller property at Sandringham until Easter when the work on Marsh Farm is due to be completed."

Moving fans were spotted at Royal Lodge this week, and royal sources have suggested that the temporary lodging is "part of a plan to speed up" Andrew's relocation to Norfolk.

While extensive work has been carried out on Marsh Farm, a source added that the home "still needs a lot of attention to make it habitable." Work vans have been pictured at the property in recent days, with additions including new security cameras and fencing.

Compared to the 30-room Royal Lodge, however, the source says Marsh Farm "is a lot, lot smaller and less luxurious."

While Andrew will be moving to The King's private estate, ex-wife Sarah Ferguson is set to move into her own home for the first time since 2008. "She’s looking for a place in Windsor," a separate royal insider told People in December, adding that the former Duchess of York is "assessing a number of options" for her post-Royal Lodge life.

After Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson were stripped of their titles and evicted from Royal Lodge, the former married couple will be starting their new, very different lives, in 2026. While Andrew is set to move to the Sandringham estate, Fergie is reportedly house-hunting near Windsor. But now that her book deals and other work seem to have dried up, there's a concern about how the former Duchess of York will earn enough money.

Her upcoming children's book has been pulled from production and "pulped" after a controversial 2011 email she sent to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was released last fall, and she was dropped by a number of the charities and brands she's worked with for years.

A source told the Mirror that in the past, "somebody else always picked up the tab" for Sarah, even when "she spent more than she had." The insider added that Ferguson has "been very well taken care of over the years by various boyfriends, friends and acquaintances." However, the former duchess now finds herself in a new position.

An insider told the Mirror that "for the first time in a good while" Ferguson has become "seriously worried about how on earth she's going to maintain her lifestyle."

"She's too toxic to touch for every single brand and charity she'd previously worked with and even the lavish freebies she used to be gifted have stopped," the source continued. "It was quite normal for her to be invited to an expensive hotel or spa and given the five star VIP treatment for a few days in exchange for her simply being there, but now nobody wants her."

The Teenage Cancer Trust, Prevent Breast Cancer, Children's Literacy Charity, The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation, The National Foundation For Retired Service Animals, the British Heart Foundation and children's hospice Julia's House all dropped Ferguson in the wake of her Epstein scandal.

Entitled author Andrew Lownie previously told Marie Claire that Ferguson was the "Houdini of the Royal Family," but noted that she's "running out of lives."

Speaking to the Mirror, he acknowledged that while Fergie's "reputation is pretty much at an all time low," never say never when it comes to a comeback.

"She may well pop back because she has this gift for reinventing herself, but I think [Andrew's] toast," he told the outlet. "She just plays the victim, and that plays well in the States. She says, 'Well, I can pick myself up, it's my own fault, I'll be different in the future, that was a different person,' and then she just goes and repeats the mistakes all over again."

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie joined members of the Royal Family at Sandringham for Christmas in December, but no one is quite sure how their parents spent the holidays. In the latest episode of the Daily Mail's "Palace Confidential" YouTube show, royal experts discussed the former Duchess of York's unusual behavior of late.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson reportedly encouraged their daughters to head up to Norfolk with The King, but while the former duke has been spotted out and about, Ferguson is nowhere to be seen.

Daily Mail columnist Richard Eden noted, "unusually for Sarah, she's been keeping an extremely low profile" these days. He added that when Princess Beatrice's youngest daughter, Athena, was christened in December, Ferguson "literally ducked down in the car I think, so you couldn't see her face." Andrew also attended the christening, but was driven in a car with heavily tinted windows.

Eden added that he wasn't sure where the former Duchess of York "spent Christmas, probably with friends, but unlike Andrew, who is sometimes seen still, you know, riding around Windsor Great Park on his horse," Ferguson has remained out of the public eye.

He added, "unusually, she has gone from someone who is very publicity friendly to someone who is avoiding it at all costs at the moment."

Unlike Ferguson, the former prince went out for a drive on Christmas Day, with Daily Mail royal editor Rebecca English sharing the move "was pretty unwise." She added that "the feeling" amongst those in royal circles was that Andrew "could have just not popped his nose out of his house."

"The people I speak to say, 'Is it pigheadedness? Is he trying to make a point?' We just don't know," English added.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is set to move out of Royal Lodge in Windsor later this year, having already relinquished his official royal titles. The former Duke of York will also retreat from royal life altogether, following the public's renewed interest in his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. However, some royal sources are suggesting that Andrew might be considering one "potential financial lifeline" in the near future.

As reported by the Express, Andrew "could be offered a heavy sum to pen a tell-all memoir," which would "stabilize his financial situation."

A source reportedly told the outlet, "For Andrew, a book represents both a potential financial lifeline and an opportunity to claim that he has been unjustly handled."

Another source told the publication, "Andrew knows where the bodies are buried—and that makes the idea of a memoir extraordinarily sensitive for the Royal Family, because it could expose private conversations and long-held secrets."

However, People magazine alleged that the former Duke of York and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, remain committed to the Royal Family, despite being demoted. The outlet referenced the fact that their daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, spent Christmas at Sandringham with the royals.

As a source told the publication, "They live and die by the monarchy, so this didn't surprise me at all. And Andrew and Sarah would have 1,000 percent supported it."

The source continued, "Sarah has always said her greatest gift to the monarchy was her girls. She's going to still hold her allegiance to the Crown."

It remains unclear whether Andrew would ever release a memoir, but some royal sources seem to think a tell-all book could be on the way for the right price.

In 2025, Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor relinquished their royal titles and agreed to move out of their shared home, Royal Lodge in Windsor. Now, royal sources are claiming that Buckingham Palace is on "high alert" regarding a potential move the pair might make next.

As reported by the Express, the former Duke and Duchess of York have reportedly worried palace officials as they're "rumored to be considering selling royal valuables." Per the outlet, the alleged sale could include "valuable objects linked to Queen Elizabeth II," as well as "private letters and jewelry."

According to the publication, "legal experts" are currently "monitoring the situation," and will determine whether Andrew and Sarah are allowed to allegedly "put up" any of the items "for auction."

Per the Express, a source reportedly told Page Six, "The appearance of even a single item would trigger immediate and widespread fallout. But Andrew and Sarah seem intent on turning [Royal] Lodge into some sort of pawn shop source by collecting together goods they think they can auction off to the highest bidder."

The source continued, "If they go ahead with this, their departure from royal life may end in the most volatile way yet."

Meanwhile, a subsequent source reportedly told the outlet, "Senior royals always expected the break with Andrew to be difficult, but not on this scale. The prospect of private letters, recordings, and jewels becoming public is viewed as a worst-case scenario."

For now, at least, it appears as though members of the Royal Family will be waiting with bated breath to find out whether Sarah and Andrew will be attempting to sell any potentially scandalous possessions.
