Without Grande's Instagram post, you might've thought Bob Mackie crafted the halter neckline and column skirt just for her.

An orange, brown, and yellow color story makes its origin impossible to deny: It was quintessentially '70s. Diagonal chevrons decorated the entire floor-grazing gown, beginning with the criss-cross halter. Roach secured the dress and a matching lemon-colored shawl from Julien's Auctions, a privately-held auction house in Beverly Hills. It scored a spot in the brand's early December auction, "Bold Luxury: Bob Mackie, Stage Glamour, and The Couture Edit," alongside Bob Mackie creations worn by Cher, Tina Turner, and more legends.

Grande in Bob Mackie obviously paid homage to Cher—SNL's musical guest on Dec. 20. The Californian creative dressed Cher for over 60 years, beginning in 1967. What's more, her exact maxi originally debuted on the March 17, 1973 episode of The Carol Burnett Show. In true Burnett fashion, the host delivered her opening monologue while wearing the Bob Mackie gown. Perhaps its light-as-a-feather chiffon caught Grande's eye, which swooshed effortlessly across Burnett's stage.

SNL's commercial dropped one month after Grande's first Bob Mackie-clad moment. The late Buck Henry was the first person to reach the five-timers club (even though it didn't have that name at the time), going on to host 10 times. He's also considered one of the more underrated hosts, with a straight-man quality that made it easy to forget how hard he was working.

Candice Bergen

The first female host of SNL, Candace Bergen was a perfect fit. She's sharp and witty, but an absolute pro at timing and a commit-to-the-bit performer. Her sketch with Gilda Radner regarding the PSA from the Right to Extreme Stupidity League is ageless!

Carrie Fisher

Carrie Fisher has always understood the power of her character—no more so than in 1978, in the initial Star Wars heyday. She opened with her monologue dressed as Princess Leia, even swapping jokes with Obi-Wan Kenobi, but she proved to be an enthusiastic host all night.

Some of the best SNL hosts pull double-duty. In Donald Glover's case, that meant pretending to play the clarinet badly during his monologue, as well as a bunch of funny sketches that played with his public persona. Glover was rejected as a cast member a few times from SNL, but now he's glad he never became a cast member. (However, he was a writer on 30 Rock, Tina Fey's sitcom spoofing behind-the-scenes at SNL.)

Elliott Gould

Drew Barrymore

The youngest show host in history (she was all of 7 when she hosted in 1982), Drew Barrymore didn't stop there. The Five-Timer member naturally brought a different energy every time she was on SNL, from sweet and youthful to a full-blown adult movie star.

Native New Yorker Elliott Gould hosted a bunch between 1976 and 1980 (six in total!), probably because he is a perfect host. He's a great actor, down to be silly, not upstage the cast, and can expertly play it straight opposite some very funny people.

"Daddy Pascal" lived up to his reputation as everyone's favorite celebrity with a sweet, ebullient, deeply unserious presence throughout his hosting gig in 2023. He also had a quasi-hosting gig when he stopped by to help Bad Bunny in a skit and to "translate" his monologue.

Richard Pryor

The first Black SNL host, Richard Pryor was a refreshing presence on the show, in part because his stand up presence was both daring and provocative. Thus, his skits often leaned in on this, including a memorable "Word Association" skit with cast member Chevy Chase.

Robin Williams

No surprise, Robin Williams was an excellent presence on SNL (and he hosted three times). The show utilized his no-holds-barred silliness, of course, but the writers were prescient to know that casting him as the straight man was even more impactful.

Ryan Gosling

People knew Ryan Gosling was funny, but maybe not just how funny he was until he hosted SNL. Several skits will be forever hysterical, like his "Close Encounter" skit wherein he's constantly trying not to laugh. We still can't stop thinking about "Papyrus," though. Watch it if you're unfamiliar.

Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson doesn't mind playing around with her persona, particularly as it pertains to her role as Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She also clearly loves the vibe: She's a member of the Five-Timers Club and met her future husband, Weekend Update host Colin Jost, on the sketch show.

Steve Martin

Many of our best SNL hosts have been musicians too. Such was the case when Steve Martin (who's hosted so many times you could almost consider him a cast member) donned the banjo during the show, more than once, and regaled us all with legitimate skill.

Timothée Chalamet

Timothée Chalamet is a good SNL host for many reasons, not least because of his charisma. But his ability to sing well, rap hilariously (which he's done in several skits), and make himself look silly also helps.

Tina Fey

When you come back to host SNL after being the head writer...you understand just about everything about the show. It's really, really hard to pick a favorite Tina Fey hosting moment (not to mention all the guest appearances she's done), so we'll settle for every sketch she had with Amy Poehler.

Tom Hanks

Tom Hanks started the notion of a Five-Timers Club, having himself "inducted" when he hosted in 1990 and welcomed into the club by Steve Martin and Elliott Gould. His longevity on the show is due, in part, to the fact that he's a great actor and he can sell whatever he's in.

Will Ferrell

A tremendous SNL success story, Will Ferrell went from a cast member to a huge, bona fide star. So the fact that he came back to host (and gave us more iconic moments) was a pure treat. You've got "More Cowbell," you've got "Dr. Beaman's Office," you've got Alex Trebek. You've got it all!

Saturday Night Live follows the same schedule every week. On Mondays, the writers and cast pitch ideas to the host. On Tuesdays, they go heads down writing sketches. On Wednesdays, there’s a table read. Then, on Thursdays, Mary Ellen Matthews enters the picture.

Matthews has been the late-night show’s visionary resident photographer, tasked with taking the bumper shots (images that air before the live taping cuts to commercial) of the talent who comes through the halls of Studio 8H, since 1999. The 59-year-old’s shoots are energized and imaginative. They sometimes recreate classic works of art or iconic scenes from film and TV; feature elaborate costuming or props (think: martinis, miniatures, and mammals), and capture the essence of both celebrity and comedy.

The photos only run for three seconds each, but Matthews has been committed for over 25 seasons to go as big as possible every week. In addition to “the new talent who comes in” who inspires her to keep it fresh when she gets behind the lens, she tells Marie Claire that the enthusiasm for her work—which fits into only a sliver of SNL’s runtime—is because of what a “dream” her job is. “Every year it seems to get better than last,” she says. “It's such a big part of my life here in New York City, and it's just a big family, so I'm so happy to be there still.”

To coincide with SNL’s 50th anniversary, Matthews is publishing a book featuring over 200 photos from throughout her tenure. Titled The Art of the SNL Portrait, out on March 4, the book is a snapshot of her portraits of SNL staples like Tina Fey, five-timers like Emma Stone, and recent first-time hosts like Ayo Edebiri.

Matthews spoke to Marie Claire about her process, whether she prefers shooting first-time or returning hosts, and the pop star whose gum she held onto for years.

Marie Claire: You were the successor of Edie Baskin, whom you assisted. Did it feel significant having a woman as a mentor to help navigate photography or SNL at the time, which was a bit more male-dominated?

Mary Ellen Matthews: 100 percent. It definitely was a little bit more of a men's club back then, so, to me, she was a very powerful figure—having so much influence on the show and creative direction. I really looked up to that. And there was another gal in our department, Leslie [Weiner], who got me the job there, so it was a girls' club for a little while.

When I first started with [Edie], I was in more of an administrative position there, while I was shooting a lot on my own. And so it worked up to me shooting at the show and taking over for her. It didn't happen overnight. I learned the right way, though. It's not just about the shooting, it's about being part of what the show is and how to represent the show.

MC: Your photos are rich in pop culture and artistic references. When you learn who the host or musical guest is, what is your process to conceptualize the shoot and have it fit the talent’s personality?

MEM: Because we don't live in a vacuum from pop culture, we know who might be coming down the road for us, so I try to stay up on things and be familiar with people. You kind of take somebody in and look at their [social media] account—just see what they're into, what their vibe is. And I'm always putting things away, thinking what could be a good idea for somebody.

I always say, ‘Make it ours. Make it our own.’ It's not to copy the Mona Lisa, but you make it a Saturday Night Live version of that. I'm always gathering, always collecting, always inspired. And then once I know who it is, do a deep dive on that person and try to see if I can come up with something that would be fun for them.

MC: What keeps you inspired and continuing to think of new concepts?

MEM: It's a way that I can contribute to the world of art. I'm not saying what I do is art, but it's in that world.

To keep your skills honed and your creative spark lit, it’s important to look outside and see what everyone else is doing, and we all influence each other. If you stay in your own box—the box in your head—it's not going to go very well. So, I'm constantly looking around and Instagram is such a great tool.

MC: Is it more fun to shoot a first-time host or someone who’s been on before?

MEM: I can't say one is better than the other. It's nice to have someone who's been on before because then you're familiar with somebody and you get to do what you didn't get to do last time. The more you get to know somebody, the more you can collaborate with them because they know what's coming and come up with ideas. That's always the most fun. So, instead of me pitching them, they'll pitch me.

MC: Was there someone you worked with who brought ideas to you that you were particularly excited about?

MEM: A chapter in the book is a “case study with John Mulaney,” so he is that guy. He is somebody who takes this part of the show and really digs in and gets involved. He's so rich with ideas—what a hoot to play with him!

MC: Why is it so important to you to go so big every week?

MEM: Because it's like each shoot or each week, the next week is another week, and you have this blank slate to start over again. It's like, Well, how can I do better? How can I be funnier? How can I make it relate more? How can I get the next person to have more fun and relax that person more? You get to redo it. It's like this Groundhog Day scenario because I can—and I really care about it. I always want to do the best work possible because you're given amazing talent to work with, which is so special.

MC: Matt Damon was your first shoot as Head Photographer in 1999. How different was that week versus your typical week now?

MEM: Not very much. I wasn't really playing with props. I wasn't coming up with concepts. It was more just personality-driven. We were shooting on Tuesdays then, now we shoot everything on Thursdays. I took a big deep breath, that's for sure. But when you're given an opportunity like that, you really have to show up for it.

MC: What shoot props have you held onto over the years?

MEM: I was doing this thing for a while [where I was] keeping little things that happened on the set. Just as a joke, not to take this too seriously, I had Justin Bieber's gum. Because you're taking someone's pictures and they're chewing, you're like, ‘Get rid of the gum.’ So I had his gum, I put it in a thing, and it was in my freezer for a while. Billie Eilish smashed a toy guitar, so I have the neck of that. It's all broken up.

I have a lineup. It's a funny little museum—some at home, some in my office.

MC: I understand Lorne Michaels has some favorite photos in his office. Do you know which ones?

MEM: Not off the top of my head. But he has this big corkboard collage right next to his desk in his ninth-floor office. We've put years on top of years. It's really a piece of art now, and that's what the endpapers are when you open up the book on either side.

MC: Was Lorne always hands-off when you took over the role or was it over time that he was like, “She’s got this?”

MEM: Everybody will say this: He puts people into place that he doesn't have to worry about too much. I think he trusted Edie and to turn it over to me. I can't speak for him exactly, but I remember [in the beginning] being like, ‘Is this okay? Is this okay?’ We don't do that anymore. But in the beginning, I was coming to him to make sure that he was okay with what I was doing. I haven't thought about that in a long time, actually.

MC: You’ve said that coming onto this role meant learning what the voice of SNL was and capturing it. How much do you think it’s changed since then?

MEM: It's the sense of cool that SNL will always have, and that is a thing you bring and you take from it at the same time. That doesn't change at all.

But the people who are on [the show now] are so varied in who they are and what their background is. All these kids are so young now and have such success. That’s not to say that you don't have your Willem Dafoes and your Robert De Niros, which keeps it well balanced. But there's a youthfulness and the voice is coming from that—and also the voice of being on the right side of history and speaking to the right people in the right way.

MC: You’ve shot so many people, but is there anyone who you haven’t worked with yet and would like to?

MEM: It's women. Any women artist—like [visual artist] Cindy Sherman—I would love to shoot that kind of thing. Meryl Streep or Patti Smith. The band Heart.

MC: Is there anyone you’ve been starstruck by?

MEM: I got to shoot Stevie Nicks [in October 2024], which was incredible. She was absolutely a delight, and I couldn't believe it was happening. She has such a way about her—of course, her witchy aura—and she was so engaging.

MC: You got your start as a photographer in the music industry, so that must’ve been exciting for you as a longtime fan.

MEM: I was—I still am—a music freak. Where my happiness lies is when I look at the board of who's coming up and I get to learn so many new artists. I mean, sometimes I'm like, who? and then they blow me away. When they step on that stage, you see all the effort it takes. You see it from our perspective, from the Thursday rehearsals and sound checks to when they come Saturday and it's live. It's an amazing thing to witness every week, and I'm always cheering people on because you want them to succeed.

MC: Who is a new artist who you weren’t familiar with but became a fan of?

MEM: Lil Yachty. He just blew my mind. Blew the roof off.

After baring her abs at the 2025 Grammys in a cut-out Saint Laurent gown, Miley Cyrus wore two different Roberto Cavalli outfits to perform at SNL50: The Homecoming Concert.

Cyrus joined a plethora of celebrities, including Lady Gaga and Cher, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Saturday Night Live at Radio City Hall in New York. Cyrus performed twice at the event—a duet of "Crazy Little Thing" with Brittany Howard, and a performance of her hit song "Flowers." The singer's stylist, Bradley Kenneth, picked two Roberto Cavalli outfits for the occasion—one vintage and one new.

To walk the red carpet, Cyrus wore a floor-length, black leather Roberto Cavalli gown, featuring cut-outs, a sheer skirt, and a small train. The dress is taken from the fashion house's SS25 RTW collection, was designed by creative director Fausto Puglisi, and was modeled by Eva Herzigova on the runway last year. Cyrus completed her outfit with a pair of Paris Texas "Liz" lace-up satin sandals in black.

Before taking the stage, the LOL actor changed into another Roberto Cavalli creation. This time, Cyrus chose a vintage Cavalli piece taken from the fashion house's SS2004 RTW collection (via CheckTheTag). The black skintight gown featured diamond cut-outs across the torso, before shifting into a heavily feathered skirt. She paired the sleek dress with another pair of simple black strappy sandals.

This isn't the first time Cyrus has worn vintage Roberto Cavalli. In February 2024, the "Malibu" singer wore another dress from the designer's SS2004 collection for the "Doctor (Work It Out)" music video.

Documenting the hour and a half before the first broadcast of Saturday Night Live on October 11, 1975, Jason Reitman’s new film Saturday Night illustrates just how much chaos played out before the novice cast announced, “Live from New York.” There’s a haphazardness in the unfinished scripts, set pieces, and run-of-show schedule; even the clothes on the Not Ready for Prime Time Players are barely put together.

Both a ‘70s period piece and a love letter to a special moment in comedy history, the film’s wardrobe amplifies how newly-minted SNL boss Lorne Michaels and his troupe of rising comics were taking a counterculture approach to launching the late-night show. Costume designer Danny Glicker mimicked this radicalness when recreating the looks worn by the real-life people the film portrays—from bell bottoms to mix-matched thrift shop threads to their sketch costumes.

Glicker “wanted to help create the tension,” he recalls to Marie Claire. “I said at one point, ‘Jason, I want to dress the actors in such a way that not only does it look like this show is not going to go on in an hour and a half, it doesn't look like it's going to go on in a week.’”

The costume designer explains that he was thrilled to work on the project, given his interest and familiarity with the ‘70s comedy scene, and the ability to tap into a “grimey” kind of mid-century fashion that’s not often depicted on-screen. He wanted to emphasize the “looseness and inventiveness” of the time, whether he was dressing Ella Hunt as Gilda Radner or Matt Wood as John Belushi.

“Every single person on this set was there for the same reason—and that was to fully live in the creative chaos of this moment,” Glicker says.

With Saturday Night releasing in theaters wide on Oct. 11 (commemorating when the debut episode aired) Glicker spoke to Marie Claire about his archival research, Dylan O’Brien’s short shorts, and finding Lorne Michaels’ legendary reindeer sweater.

MC: The costuming in Saturday Night is two-fold because you have the ‘70s fashion and then the recreated SNL sketch costumes. Where did your research start?

Danny Glicker: I had already read Gilda [Radner]'s autobiography; I had already read Alan Zweibel’s autobiography; I'd listened to so many audio books about all these people that it was sort of like revisiting with old friends.

I wanted to start with the inside world of who these people were and unpack who they were before they became iconic. I was careful to put a firewall up after the show, so my research ended on October 11, 1975. Then I wanted to find ways to honor their humanity, to use the clothes to express their struggle as starving artists making nothing. I wanted to show that in the clothes they're cobbling things together.

MC: Were you using vintage pieces?

Glicker: Even though it's a ‘70s movie, I had tons of vintage pieces throughout that would've been vintage in the ‘70s [because] many of the characters themselves [were] buying stuff from thrift shops or wearing things to death.

In a lot of cases, because some of the clothes are 50- 60-years-old, I'm rebuilding a ton of stuff. Even though they look like they're in these worn-out threads, they were pieces I had to create and then kill. We had talented fiber artists making everything look so tired and worn.

In the case of Tommy Dewey playing Michael O'Donoghue, his character was one that in real life dressed almost exclusively in vintage. Because of his fire gag where we see him lighting script pages on fire at one point, everything had to be built in multiple because we had to do a fireproof version of one of his outfits. We were building pieces based on vintage pieces: the 1940s high-waisted, pleated pants and vest. I worked hard to make sure there was something a little curdled about his look. So we found this fabulously awful fabric for the back of his vest. His character was a cool guy of that era who was showing his disdain for the institutions of that era through all of his vintage clothes.

The blouse that Rachel Sennott wears [as writer Rosie Shuster] is based on a ‘50s blouse, so she's wearing vintage in the ‘70s. I remember having a lot of sleepless nights because her collar is a ‘50s collar, not a '70s collar, and I was like, ‘Is this going to ruin it?’ I have to trust those details are going to make it richer because it's not a fashion magazine and it's not a catalog. It's real life. We're seeing these people existing in their reality in 1975.

All the collars and double collars are so pronounced—they’re like their own statement piece.

Glicker: That was a big conversation that Jason and I had early on: making sure that, even though we had something like 85 speaking roles, every character had a secretly distinctive thing. So, if you turn your head and look at them, you immediately know who you're looking at. I didn't repeat anything. The idea was that, even though we're intentionally overwhelming the audience with this incredibly varied cast, each person has their own visual trademark. That was a wonderful challenge.

Where did you start with the recreated sketch costumes? Did you watch old footage or is there an existing SNL archive that you visited?

Glicker: There's not an SNL archive, and I think that had to do with this era—the scrappiness. I think of that line where the stagehand says to Leo [played by Abraham Hsu], who's putting the bricks in [the stage]. He goes, ‘Why are you doing this? It's going to be gone in two weeks.’ I think that that was the attitude.

I did speak to the delightful Tom Broecker [who has been SNL’s costume designer for decades]. He was so sweet and delivered the news to me [that there is no archive]. He's like, ‘We might have the Coneheads’ collar.’

So, whenever you're working on something like this, there's an ephemeral quality to the clothes. I think that in the early seasons, there was a healthy mixture of very thoughtfully designed costumes, and every now and then, I would see examples of actors' pieces of their own closets entering the show. That's certainly the case for Garrett Morris' leather jacket, which I've seen him in in the show and in paparazzi photos, and I replicated it for this movie [for Lamorne Morris].

A trick that I loved to play—this was my love letter to the fans of Saturday Night Live—was even though [the movie doesn’t] do a full run of show, every actor who plays a Not Ready for Prime Time Player, I fit them for a costume that their character wore in that episode. You’ll see it hanging on a rack and be like, ‘Oh, my god, that’s ‘[Land Shark],’” or, ‘That’s ‘Courtroom.’” I worked hard to replicate them in a way that would evoke both a visual response and an emotional response because we see clothes, but we feel the vibe too.

For me, this movie was so much about summoning this vibe—this kind of filthy, sweaty, slept-in, stinky counterculture ‘70s. I think that frequently when we see movies that take place in the ‘70s, people get so excited by the proportions and patterns of the clothes—which are exciting things—but they forget there's a real grime. We were looking at [movies like] Network and Dog Day Afternoon, even Shampoo and The Candidate. This is a movie that is teaming with texture. So for me to replicate the sketches, I wanted to replicate the experience of watching them—and that meant that everything had to look knocked down and edgy.

“The Killer Bees” costumes are particularly great. What was it like making those?

Glicker: It was really fun because, on the original bee costumes, the stripes are bleeding. They're spray painted on, which we incorporated in the movie. I had to work with my fiber artists for days and days to accomplish something that would make them look grimy and fast enough on these beautifully recreated bee costumes that we had to hand sew.

Every time we started spray painting, we did these very elaborate techniques where we would have bleed lines and we had to control the bleed lines. We would put in grime and splatter, but we also had to make sure that they looked like they were made for this episode. They couldn’t be filthy, but they had to look grimy—and there's a difference. Whenever I'm going into something where I'm working so hard to make it look so haphazard, I always think of the Dolly Parton quote: “It takes a lot of money to look this cheap.” It takes a lot of time to look this rushed.

MC: One of the movie’s big fashion moments is when Dylan O’Brien, as Dan Ackroyd, wears the short denim shorts in the “Hard Hats” sketch. What was it like crafting those shorts?

Glicker: I had all these still shots of the construction worker sketch on my wall. We got Dylan in a pair of vintage jeans from my personal collection because I wanted to make sure that we could cut them. I was measuring to the millimeter to the proportions of the original sketch because we really wanted it to match exactly how it was.

Dylan was so game. As much as the jeans are delightful, the thing that sells the outfit is Dylan O'Brien’s chest puff and how he does that rooster-cock-of-the-walk that Dan Ackroyd did originally. That was important because how you contort your body is going to affect everything, including what's going on with the end seam.

Did you feel like you saw anyone else find the real people they were portraying in the fittings?

Glicker. Every single actor. I view the fitting room as a lab for movement. We have lots of photos of them sitting, relaxing, reading, eating, pointing at things. I want to see their body moving in the clothes to know that they're empowered to go on set and be 100 percent the person and never have the clothing hold them back. I want the clothing to only infuse them with more reality.

I remember when Rachel Sennott came in for her first fitting, I gave her these fantastic platform heels from the ‘70s that are under her gorgeous, elephant leg bell bottoms. It was all about Rosie having this walk. Rachel was so much fun to move with and she was snapping down the hallway, super confident, super lovely, just as Rosie was—just shouting orders.

I did a ton of physical work with Chevy because we wanted to play up his lankiness. Chevy is a great verbal comedian, but also he's a great physical comedian. So I worked so closely with Corey [Michael Smith] to create the physicality. We were doing all sorts of tricks with height to give him this long lanky feel. We were even adjusting the lengths to make it look like he was too long for some pieces.

When we dressed [Ella Hunt as Gilda Radner], we kept her limber in these outfits that looked like, at any given moment, she could run up on stage and join a sketch even if she wasn't supposed to be in it. We wanted to honor the immediacy, the clownish, and the camaraderie that sketch comedians of that era were fully embracing.

There’s a fun bit involving Laraine and her quick changes, meaning, you had to design quick-change costumes yourself. Did you use any SNL behind-the-scenes magic to create those looks?

Glicker: What I love about this movie is that everything means exactly what it is, and it also means something else. The quick change costumes [were about] amping up the tension, but what it's showing is Laraine Newman is being told no. It’s about how every actor was in this fight for their comedic life.

[Emily Fairn, who played Laraine, and I] rehearsed those quick changes for hours. The hard thing is the first one's not supposed to work. We were creating rigged outfits—all sorts of highly choreographed shenanigans going on with the real customers working on my team, and then the on-set costumers on the Saturday Night Live costume team. It was very much a love letter to the perseverance of Lorraine Newman. I always viewed it as a way to honor the spirit of SNL. And then, of course, the sheer challenge of hiding one costume under another.

You clearly have so much love for SNL and the comedy of this era. Did you have a favorite piece or look in the film?

Glicker: You barely see it in the movie, but it's a piece that I have enormous affection for. Lorne was famous for wearing a reindeer sweater. There was an active discussion I had with Jason over whether or not we were going to use that sweater. When we were getting into the visual idea [of the film], it became clearer and clearer that the look I put Lorne in—which is based on a real look from Lorne in archival photos—we needed him to be a stable, clean foundation. This reindeer sweater, which I'm obsessed with, is very busy.

But that reindeer sweater makes a cameo in the movie: It's on his sofa in his office. I found the existing sweater [online and someone sent it to me]. I was freaking out the whole time because I was like, ‘Something's going to go wrong. It's going to get lost. I don't want to tell anyone that it exists.’ It’s the literal exact sweater that Lorne had. The sweater itself is a vintage sweater, so it’s not even from the ‘70s.

Jason [Reitman] posted [a photo of Gabriel LaBelle as Lorne in the sweater] and Laraine Newmen responded, “The reindeer sweater.” That made me so happy.

Glen Powell has addressed his cameo on Sydney Sweeney's recent Saturday Night Live monologue, when she teed him up for a joke about their rumored affair.

Asked about it on the Oscars red carpet, Powell told Entertainment Tonight, "It was just a blast, you know, Sydney and I have been just teammates in this whole thing, and this movie has been such a fun ride to be on, and to obviously get to do all that at SNL, that's like, the ultimate place to get to finish that."

As for whether he has SNL hosting ambitions, the actor revealed, "I would love to host."

Sweeney and Powell were costars on the recent rom-com Anyone but You, and tons of people speculated about them having an affair on set—"affair" rather than romance because the Euphoria actress is engaged to Jonathan Davino.

Sweeney had already addressed said rumors back in December, noting that these were really hard on Powell because he was going through a breakup (from ex Gigi Paris) while wrapping up and promoting the movie.

Then when she hosted SNL a couple of weeks ago, Sweeney made a joke about the "craziest rumor" that "while I was filming Anyone But You I was having an affair with my costar, Glen Powell."

She continued, "That’s obviously not true. Me and my fiancé produced the movie together and he was there the entire shoot, and I just want to let everyone know that he’s the man of my dreams and we’re still together and stronger than ever."

She then asked for the cameras to cut to Davino in the audience, at which point they cut to Powell, drawing laughs and cheers.

Oh, they got us good.

The terms “wardrobe malfunction” and “celebrity” are relatively simpatico, and, in terms of wardrobe malfunctions, the one Kacey Musgraves suffered this weekend on Saturday Night Live is pretty doggone minor.

Musgraves was the show’s musical guest Saturday night alongside host Sydney Sweeney, and took to X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) yesterday to reveal that she forgot to remove a clip from her hair before taking the stage with Sweeney and the SNL cast members to close Saturday’s show. Musgraves reposted a photo of herself during the closing credits, wearing a maxi denim dress with a thigh-high slit and knee-high boots; she wore a white clip to pin back her hair as an accessory. The clip appeared to be a part of Musgraves’ look, but Page Six reports “she seemed horrified” with the mistakenly left in clip, writing “The clip. I forgot to remove the clip.” 

According to Page Six, “Musgraves’ stylist seemingly left the clip in the Grammy winner’s hair as she rushed onstage to thank viewers for watching the show alongside Sweeney and guest star Glen Powell.” The clip is barely noticeable until Musgraves turns to hug Sweeney as the credits begin to roll.

Saturday night was Musgraves’ SNL debut; she performed “Deeper Well” and “Too Good to Be True” off of her forthcoming record, also called Deeper Well, which drops March 15. “This new album is an honest excavation of my own transformation the last few years,” she said of the record. “I’m emerging more centered, grounded, and trusting of myself than ever—and I knew that I wanted to create a multi-sensorial experience that cultivates self-discovery and our connection to the natural world."

She added “It’s a collection of songs I hold very dear to my heart. I hope it makes a home in all of your hearts, too.”

Sydney Sweeney hosted Saturday Night Live last night and addressed the so-called elephant in the room straightaway in her monologue: did she and her Anyone But You costar Glen Powell have an on-set romance during (and potentially after) filming? (Their onscreen chemistry is palpable, as is their off-screen chemistry, particularly during the film’s press run.)

Costar romances are nothing new but, while Powell is single, Sweeney is engaged to businessman Jonathan Davino—hence the controversy. In her SNL debut, Sweeney cut to the chase and, during her monologue at the start of the show, jokingly addressed “some stuff I’ve seen about me online.” She admitted the “craziest rumor” she had seen online was “that while I was filming Anyone But You I was having an affair with my costar, Glen Powell.”

She added “That’s obviously not true,” and further explained that “Me and my fiancé produced the movie together and he was there the entire shoot, and I just want to let everyone know that he’s the man of my dreams and we’re still together and stronger than ever.”

But then, plot twist—“He even came tonight to support me,” Sweeney continued. “Can we cut to him?” The camera then cut to none other than Powell himself sitting in the audience, a cameo met with cheers from the crowd.

“Yeah, no, that’s not my fiancé,” Sweeney said, pretending to be flustered. “He’s in my dressing room!”

Sweeney and Powell are just friends, she declared to People, but the attention they received as an “are they or aren’t they?” pairing drew attention to their movie. “I mean, we sold a rom-com,” she said. “We were just filming a fun, amazing movie.” Sweeney told Variety she “felt beat up by” the persistent speculation, and Powell told Men’s Health that the rumors were “disorienting and unfair.”

“A great rom-com doesn’t survive without great chemistry, and Sydney is the easiest person to have chemistry with,” Powell told Entertainment Tonight. “I mean, immediately, it was like we’d known each other forever, and I think anybody that’s been on the set realizes I never get tired of talking to Sydney. We make each other laugh. She’s awesome—obviously one of the most talented actresses we have. This movie has felt like a rom-com in itself because Sydney is very easy to pretend to fall in love with.” 

Last night’s monologue wasn’t the only place in the show where Sweeney and Powell poked fun at the rumors (which, to be fair, were rampant). In a sketch later in the episode—the final one of the night, so the show was bookended with Sweeney and Powell onscreen together—Sweeney confesses to her boyfriend that she cheated on him and breaks up with him. Suddenly, Powell appears by the table—apparently the man Sweeney cheated with—and says “Hey babycakes, want to get out of here?” before he and Sweeney depart together.

And Anyone But You might not be Sweeney and Powell’s last time working together. Powell told Variety that the two were reading scripts to find their next movie after Anyone But You grossed an impressive $200 million globally. “When you find somebody that you really jive with, Sydney is so easy to work with and so fun,” Powell said. “We’re definitely trying to find the next thing. Please send us all the scripts you got.” 

Sweeney herself hinted, during an appearance this week on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, that there could be a sequel to Anyone But You in the works: “Maybe like a high nine chance,” she told the host.

It was one of the biggest headlines of the year and, no question about it, not the way she wanted to make news—but Ashlee Simpson’s infamous Saturday Night Live lip-syncing blunder in 2004 taught her so much (as our lowest points in life so often do).

If you remember, you remember, but just in case you weren’t watching SNL 20 years ago, Simpson was the musical guest on an October 2004 episode, and was taken aback when she began facing vocal issues before the show, discovering she had “two nodules beating against each other,” causing her to lose her voice, Simpson said, per Us Weekly. Despite initially saying she wasn’t going to perform, she claimed she was asked to do so anyway, using pre-recorded vocals.

“My band has never practiced this,” Simpson recalled thinking on an episode of the “Broad Ideas with Rachel Bilson and Olivia Allen” podcast. “I can’t do this.”

Simpson first sang “Pieces of Me” with no issue. As she and her band cued up her second song of the night, though, the vocal track for “Pieces of Me” began to play again instead of “Autobiography.” While the song cut out within seconds, it was obvious—Simpson had been lip-syncing. She “danced a jig to cover the snafu and walked off stage,” People reports, adding that Simpson “remains the only musician to walk out of an SNL performance.”

“I’ve never talked about or said, but it’s like the other thing is, learning as a woman, when you say no or as an artist or a human or whatever, that say I said, ‘I will not go on, I don’t care, I can’t speak,’” Simpson said. After going on anyway against her better judgment, Simpson said that moment taught her “the power of my no” and “the power of me saying absolutely not.”

“I feel like it was a humbling moment for me,” she said. “I had the No. 1 song, it was, like, everything was about to go, like, somewhere and then it was just, like, woah. The humility of not even understanding what grown a— people would say about you, awful, awful things.” She added “If I would’ve had that power to really have been like—which I would have now, or looking back—I’d be like, ‘I won’t be showing up. Period.’”

Simpson admitted that the situation was “hard” and added “I wrote all these songs, and I did all this and almost to have your credit completely taken from you and you’re like, ‘No.’”

Through the low moment, Simpson said she learned how to tune out her detractors and found her strength through the process. She added that the experience taught her “how to get back up and go again,” and, thankfully, she ultimately didn’t have to have surgery thanks to a vocal coach, who Simpson said “saved [her] life.” 

“I think having to find at a young age that strength to be like, ‘I am good at this, and I will keep going, and I will keep fighting,’” she said.

After her 2004 gaffe, Simpson actually returned to SNL a year later, in October 2005, but the performance is nearly impossible to find, she said. “I went back to SNL with my second album, and I can’t find it anywhere,” she said. “I’ve searched and searched for that performance. I was really nervous when I was on there and I can’t find it anywhere.”

Simpson’s debut album, Autobiography, came out in 2004, followed by I Am Me in 2005 and Bittersweet World in 2008. She released the single “Bat for a Heart” in 2012 but hasn’t had an album release in over 15 years. In honor of Autobiography turning 20 years old this year, Simpson told Us Weekly that she was “starting to work on the rerelease,” and teased that she might add additional songs to the record. “I’m going to celebrate that album,” Simpson said. “Maybe I’ll go in and redo some of the songs, but I’m definitely going to do a performance around the anniversary.”

This week isn’t the first time Simpson has discussed the SNL performance. On the E! reality show she shared with her husband, Evan Ross, called ASHLEE+EVAN, she said “All of [a] sudden, you know, s—t happened, and it was like ‘Boom.’ And the world hated me for this SNL moment I had. For me, it was the most humbling experience of my life, because the whole world thinks everything that you just put your heart and soul into writing is a joke. And that sucked.”

Simpson told People that it was a “defining” moment in both her “life and career,” but that it made her “stronger”: “I was such a young girl, and the world can be a cruel place,” she said. “But I learned at that time in my life to believe in my work and in my album and to get up and keep fighting and carrying on.”

There have been a lot of great beauty moments to fuss over Grammy Awards weekend. But Sunday's red carpet shouldn't overshadow the fact that Jennifer Lopez performed on Saturday Night Live for the first time since 2010 the evening before. For the special occasion, celebrity nail artist Tom Bachik, is inviting us to a step-by-step recap of Lopez's glam for Mani Monday.

In an Instagram post on Monday, February 5, Bachik shared extensive photos and details of the singer's manicure, calling the look a "prima ballerina" custom layered nude. His caption was an abbreviated version of a post from the day before, where he'd offered a full breakdown of his artistic process.

"I love custom layering nude shades to achieve the perfect color. Tonight I used two of my favorite classic shades from Essie: Mademoiselle and Skinny Dip, to achieve a modern peachy pink for tonight’s SNL look on Jennifer Lopez," Bachik wrote on Sunday.

He didn't stop there, going on to share the exact number of coats of the sheer pink and light peach shades needed to make the mani happen.

"After applying Strong Start Base Coat, I applied a single coat of ‘Mademoiselle’ as my base color for a sheer milky pink. However, I wanted the shade to be a bit more peachy to perfectly match her gown. So I applied a single coat of ‘Skinny Dip’ to achieve the perfect color," Bachik shared.

The next step was a coat of Gel Setter Top Coat "for a luscious high gloss shine," finished with On.A.Roll Apricot Cuticle Oil "to rehydrate and moisturize cuticles and skin [and] to help bring back that youthful glow."

Lopez's nails were kept long and shaped into the perfect squoval shape with Bachik's favorite Tweezerman tools—a look that carried her from the 30 Rock stage (you need a good manicure to hold a mic) to the show's afterparty. There, she wore a giant white fur coat that made the peachy pink shades pop even more.

The Bear star and recent SNL host Ayo Edebiri used the Saturday Night Live stage to issue an on-air apology to musical guest Jennifer Lopez.

In a skit titled "Why'd You Say It?," host Kenan Thompson confronts contestants—including Edebiri—with their cruel, mean and otherwise snarky social media posts of days past.

After contentiously defending her online behavior, Edebiri's character finally admits that her social media presence is less than ideal.

"It's wrong to leave mean comments or post mean comments just for clout, or run your mouth on a podcast and you don't consider the impact because you are 24, and stupid," Edebiri said, alluding to comments she made about Lopez's musical career in 2020 that recently resurfaced.

"But I think, I speak for everyone when I say that from now on, we're gonna be a lot more thoughtful about what we post online," she added.

 In 2020, while appearing in a Scam Goddess podcast episode, Edebiri said that "one of my favorite scams of all time" was Lopez and her musical career.

"Her whole career is one long scam," the actress said, before going on to say that "a lot of the write-ups of the songs will be like, 'J.Lo didn't have time to make it to the studio,' like, J.Lo was busy. It's like, 'Doing what?' Not singing, obviously."

Ouch.

Lopez has not publicly responded to any of Edebiri's past comments. Instead, she performed twice as the evening's musical guest, dazzling in two show-stopping ensembles.

In her first SNL look, Lopez wore a chic version of a suit featuring a cropped jacket, pants with carefully placed cutouts and a cropped white shirt. In her second, she dazzled in an off-the-shoulder, floor length floral gown featuring a thigh-high slit.

The fashion-forward performer seemed to take the entire "controversy" in stride, and award-winning actress Edebiri did what she does best: She made us all laugh.

Not even a rogue hair extension can stop Jennifer Lopez when she's performing on the Saturday Night Live stage.

The actress and singer stunned during two separate performances on Feb. 3, wearing two equally breathtaking ensembles that made it all too easy for fans to overlook an unfortunate performance-time hair mishap.

Lopez first performed "Can't Get Enough" featuring Latto and REDMAN, who both joined the singer on stage. The entrepreneur wore a chic version of a suit featuring a cropped jacket, pants with carefully placed cutouts and a cropped white shirt.

During her performance, Lopez experienced a hair mishap of sorts—a hair extension was loose, prompting the actress to quickly remove it and throw it to the ground while she continued to dance the night away (pun intended).

If fans did notice, all was quickly forgotten when Lopez took the SNL stage for a second time in a jaw-dropping floor-length gown to perform the title track from her ninth studio album This Is Me… Now.

The light pink, off-the-shoulder statement dress featured a daring, thigh high slit and endless floral accents. For this performance Lopez wore her hair back in a sleek up-do, leaving little-to-no chance for a second on-stage hair blunder.

Her SNL performances mark the first time Lopez has returned to Studio 8H since hosting Saturday Night Live in 2019.

Lopez's return to SNL was marked with some slight controversy after comments made by host and The Bear star Ayo Edebiri about Lopez resurfaced.

During a 2020 episode of Laci Mosley's Scam Goddess podcast, Edebiri said that "one of my favorite scams of all time" is Lopez and her musical career.

"Her whole career is one long scam," the actress added, before saying that "a lot of the write-ups of the songs will be like, 'J.Lo didn't have time to make it to the studio,' like, J.Lo was busy. It's like, 'Doing what?' Not singing, obviously."

We often see Edebiri embrace more traditional feminine silhouettes when it comes to her red carpet style. However, the actress does play around with more boyish looks. To wit, she wore this all-white suited look from The Row while attending the Critics Choice Awards in January.

While Edebiri's awards season might be over (all that's left is the Oscars, where the actress has no nominated projects), we can still hope for more playful street style outfits to come. In the meantime, consider us seated for her SNL debut, as the jokes will be joking.

I don't understand women who are afraid of aging, I'm sorry. The older I get, the more comfortable I become in my skin, the more confident I am in the knowledge of what does and does not work for me, what I do or do not want/need. The more I simply feel like me—and the wrinkles and all that other stuff just remind me that I'm real.

Some of the reasons for my appreciation and adoration for her far too personal to share in a pithy celebrity news post, but just look at the career she's had! Working Girl! Something Wild! Milk Money! Her performances have always been electric, full of life and nuance and complication.

And look at her in this coat, heading in to party with the cast of SNL and her daughter! Try and tell me this isn't a vibe that's downright aspirational! Who cares if it isn't attainable? Things don't have to be literally possible, they just have to feel spiritually in line with what you're looking for, ya feel me?

Dakota Johnson has made it clear that she's not the one to mess around with—I mean, who can forget her subtle bite back at Ellen Degeneres nearly four years ago ("That's not the truth, Ellen")? But even before Johnson's most-memed moment, she's long solidified herself as tolerating very little BS, whether that's on or off camera. The actress' latest appearance further asserts herself as no-nonsense type of gal: Johnson wore a powerful pinstriped suit, which flipped TikTok's "Mob Wife" trend on its head.

Coined by creator and self-proclaimed "mob wife CEO" Sarah Arcuri, the aesthestic references in-your-face animal prints, fur coats, flashy jewelry, loads of leather. The look, as seen in our favorite mafia-related shows and movies, is very maximalist and very luxurious. Johnson, however, nonchalantly contradicts the TikTok trend. If anything, the actress just made it clear that if she were to ever cross into mobster territory, she wouldn't be on the sidelines. Forget the wife—Johnson's wants to be the don himself.

On Tuesday, the 34-year-old was photographed leaving her hotel in New York City, en route to rehearsals ahead of hosting this weekend's Saturday Night Live episode. The rain-soaked streets didn't stop her from channeling "big boss energy," though; She was captured wearing a head-to-toe look from Bottega Veneta. The gravitas of her outfit comes from her pinstriped suit, which featured the brand's wool shirt and long loose-fitted trousers.

For outwear, she opted for a subdued quiet luxury-esque black wool coat by the Italian fashion house. She finished her ensemble with Bottega Veneta's Andiamo bag in a red woven leather and classic acetate cat eye sunglasses. Her platform leather boots were by The Row.

Now, of course, we don't think Johnson is one to indulge in TikTok fashion fads, but we can't help but notice there's something about her look that could definitely fit in with the whole "mobster" uniform. While much of fashion's current obsession lies in the "mob wife," someone who exudes unapologetic boldness and extravagance, Johnson's crisp yet powerful look completely flips that narrative. It's almost as if she's evoking that loud energy of a cigar-smoking gangstress without all the "boom" (Think, less Carmela and more Tony from The Sopranos).

Not only is Olivia Jade Giannulli decidedly not single, she is proving that she is a fashion force to be reckoned with, leaning into one of the internet's latest trends.

The YouTuber was first linked to actor Jacob Elordi in December 2021, one month after his split from Kaia Gerber was confirmed. They have always been quite private, and just last week, rumors swirled that they might have broken up.

But those rumors can safely be put to rest.

Giannulli attended Saturday Night Live to support Elordi, who was hosting the episode. She wore a plunging black halter dress with a high slit, paired with black platform heels and statement gold and pearl earrings.

But to truly capture the "Mob Wife" aesthetic that has taken the internet by a storm, she topped it off with a massive fur coat.

Giannulli completed the outfit with a flippy '90s blowout, smoky eyes, and long maroon nails.

She shared photos of this look on her Instagram, and her fans loved it.

If Giannulli's presence at the show, and the reports that she also attended rehearsals, weren't enough to satisfy breakup rumors, their behavior at the after-party certainly would be.

Also with them was Rachel McAdams, who starred as Regina George in the original film, and who made a surprise cameo on SNL, to much fanfare.

Rapper Megan Thee Stallion also made a surprise appearance during Rapp's performance, and was seen spending time with her and model Cara Delevigne at the after-party.

According to Page Six, other guests at the party included Ariana Madix, Emma Roberts, Jaden Smith, Simu Liu, and President Biden’s granddaughter, Maisy Biden.

Olivia Jade Giannulli has officially put those breakup rumors to rest.

The YouTuber and daughter of actress Lori Loughlin was spotted at the Saturday Night Live afterparty at L'Avenue in New York City and alongside boyfriend and host Jacob Elordi, squashing suspicions the pair had called it quits.

Giannulli was seen leaving the venue wearing black tights, high black platform heels, and a long, cream-colored coat. She was holding a black purse and wore her hair down and loose.

Elordi was wearing a black baseball cap, a long black, double-breasted jacket, corduroy pants, and brown boots, and covered the majority of his face with a mask.

Elordi hosted SNL with musical guest Reneé Rapp. The OG Mean Girls Queen Bee Rachel McAdams and rapper Megan Thee Stallion also made surprise guest appearances.

Recently, sources told People that the couple is still together and are "100 percent going strong" after they reportedly broke up in August, 2022. According to Us Weekly, Giannullil was "living it up" with her friends post-split while Elordi was "completely focused" on his career.

Nearly one year later, the pair were spotted spending time together multiple times, including a vacation to Italy and a trip to Ohio to spend time with Giannulli's parents, Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli.

"Jacob had to leave early to fly back to Australia, but they looked like they had a great time together," a source told People at the time. "They are a really cute couple."

Later, People confirmed the on-again, off-again relationship was officially back on—a source close to the couple told the publication that the pair was "getting serious."

The actor and internet personality took their relationship public in 2021 after they were seen getting coffee together in Los Angeles. Us Weekly was the first to report on the budding romance five months after that first coffee date.

Elordi announced he would be hosting SNL on Instagram in December 2023, posting a picture of the host and musical guest lineup.

"I have screamed now," actress Rachel Zegler commented.

The original Queen Bee is back!

Actress Rachel McAdams made a surprise Saturday Night Live cameo appearance to introduce musical guest and the new Regina George, Reneé Rapp.

Wearing a bright red pantsuit over a purple turtleneck, McAdams appeared on the SNL stage to the delight and cheer of the audience. The OG Regina George paused to allow the audience to show her some serious love before she introduced Rapp, who was performing her second set of the evening.

"Ladies and gentlemen, once again: Reneé Rapp!" McAdams said to the camera and the millions of Mean Girls fans around the world.

Rapp was performing "Not My Fault" from the new Mean Girls musical, in which she took over for McAdams playing infamous Queen Bee Regina George. Rapp was joined on the SNL stage by another surprise, unannounced guest: The one and only Megan Thee Stallion.

McAdams has been glaringly absent from promotional events and advertisements leading up to the release of the new Mean Girls film, fueling speculation there was some kind of feud between the actress and the franchise.

In a recent interview with Variety, McAdams explained why she is not featured in the broadway musical adaptation of the 2004 box office hit.

"Tina (Fey) and I sort of dabbled with a few ideas, but it was tough to make it all work in the end," the actress told the publication at the time. "I was really down for whatever she wanted to do. I think the direction it went in will be fantastic and I cannot wait to see it."

McAdams even took part in a SNL skit, in which she played aspiring actress Natalie, who attends a drama class and is hopelessly clueless as to what to do because, well, she's not really that great of an actress to begin with.

McAdams' surprise appearance set the internet on fire like the virtual Burn Book it is, with many viewers and fans sharing their unbridled joy for the ceremonial passing of the Mean Girls torch.

"Rachel McAdams came to SNL to see Renee I know she is going insane," one fan posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"RACHEL MCADAMS INTRODUCING RENEÉ RAPP BEFORE SHE SINGS NOT MY FAULT. THIS IS EVERYTHING," another wrote.

"Rachel McAdams and Megan?? Thank u Renee for making tonight’s episode bearable," someone else posted.

And just in case fans weren't sufficiently mind-blown enough, as the credits rolled the OG Regina George and the new Regina George were blowing each other kisses during the on-stage goodbyes.

Mean Girls forever!

Olivia Rodrigo has had a busy weekend: she performed on Saturday Night Live last night (where she played a piano rendition of “Vampire” and, elsewhere in the show, “All-American Bitch”). While playing “Vampire,” Rodrigo wore a sparkly silver halter dress; for “All-American Bitch,” she was in a high-neck pink dress (which was eventually smeared with cake).

Later that night, on her way to the SNL afterparty, she wore a fuzzy green top and ultra-low rise satin pants that took us back to the early aughts (as in, before Rodrigo was born, even—she came into the world in 2003).

But it’s her look from the night prior that we can’t stop thinking about: a red vintage Versace minidress, part of the house’s 1996 couture collection, that Rodrigo wore to the 2023 iHeart Radio Jingle Ball. It features a sheer bodice with crystal embellishments and a leather skirt; Rodrigo added black lace-up combat Dr. Martens boots and matching knee-high socks to complete the look.

So, indeed, a busy weekend—perhaps good preparation for 2024. In February, she’ll be at the Grammys, where she’s nominated for six different awards: “Vampire” is up for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance; her album, Guts, is up for Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year; and “Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl” is nominated for Best Rock Song.

Just a few weeks later, she’ll kick off her “Guts” tour in Palm Springs, California, which runs through August. Rodridgo told People how she felt about being nominated for so many Grammy Awards, telling the outlet it’s “so insane. It’s just such an honor and such a pleasure to be recognized by the music community in such an incredible way. I’m very grateful.” 

We knew on last night’s Saturday Night Live that Adam Driver would be hosting and Olivia Rodrigo would be performing (a solid combo on its own)—what we were not expecting was the Julia Stiles cameo we happily received, as Stiles and SNL cast member Chloe Fineman reenacted a scene from Stiles’ hit movie Save the Last Dance.

Stiles’ surprise appearance happened during the show’s “Weekend Update” segment, when “Colin Jost set up the bit by announcing Fineman has some intimate gift ideas to share for that special someone in your life as the holidays are around the corner,” Deadline reports. “To do so, strangely, Fineman needs to demonstrate it from in front of the news desk.”

“I only have one sexy gift idea, and I kind of have to demonstrate it,” Fineman told Jost and his fellow “Weekend Update” anchor, Michael Che. “The sexiest gift you can give your partner is to try something new in the bedroom.”

Her gift? A reenactment of the final dance Stiles performs at the end of Save the Last Dance. Fineman is dressed in all black—just as Stiles’ character, Sara, did in the 2001 film (which she starred in alongside Sean Patrick Thomas). 

Fineman does a pretty good job with the choreography, but it really kicks into gear as Stiles—also wearing black sweatpants and a black top—joins her for the performance, as the roaring audience cheered. (The movie was a cult classic back in the early aughts.)

This is, interestingly, the second time this week that Stiles has channeled a character of hers from the deep past: the first was her character from 1999’s 10 Things I Hate About You, Katarina “Kat” Stratford, who she brought back to life by reading the “hateful” poem she recited to Patrick Verona in the film, who was, of course, played by the late Heath Ledger: “I hate the way you’re always right,” the poem reads, in part. “I hate it when you lie. I hate it when you make me laugh, even worse when you make me cry.”

Only a week ago, Ariana Grande made an appearance at the opening night of Broadway's "Spamalot" to support her boyfriend, Ethan Slater. She must have enjoyed the show, as Deuxmoi shared that she already came back Sunday night to see it again!

Based on the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the musical follows King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table on a quest for the Holy Grail. Slater plays various roles in the show, and this is not his first experience on Broadway, as he played the titular role in SpongeBob SquarePants, for which he was nominated for a Tony Award.

Grande and Slater have been dating for several months now, since meeting on the set of Wicked, where they play Glinda and Boq, respectively.

It seems like Grande didn't come alone this time, as she was spotted sitting with Bowen Yang. Yang is best known for his ongoing role at SNL, where he is a fan favorite. Additionally, he's made cinematic appearances in Fire Island and The Lost City. Bowen also appears in Wicked as Pfanne, which is likely why he joined Grande in supporting their cast mate on Broadway.

Grande was also seen chatting to Todrick Hall, a famous singer and choreographer. Overall, it seems like she was her usual delightful self, eager to speak to fans and immerse herself in the crowd.

It looks like Kylie Jenner might be back in her 'King Kylie' era. When attending a Saturday Night Live after-party in New York City to support her boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet, Jenner wore an all-black outfit that was a perfect callback to her grunge days.

Tumblrites will remember, but for the uninitiated, 'King Kylie' refers to the moment in the multihyphenate's history when Jenner wore a lot of skull motifs, dark colors, and leather. She was just coming of age at the time, but her iconic green hair and moody style helped boost her from 'youngest Kar-Jenner sister' to international superstar. Jenner, who recently launched her clothing line Khy earlier this month and has been wearing a lot of black (see her, Kendall, and Hailey Bieber's matching leather outfits from earlier this month), is clearly reminiscing about her time as an early Tumblr tastemaker.

But back to her all-black outfit from the SNL afterparty. She channeled Bond girl energy in a black ruched off-the-shoulder dress, pairing it with shiny black tights from her brand Khy. She styled the dress and tights with her favorite heeled sandals from The Row (she even has them in a white color). Jenner left her hair loose and accessorized with black sunglasses and the Arcadie shoulder bag from Miu Miu.

Chalament, on the other hand, dressed in a vibrant purple hoodie that he layered with an eggplant-colored sherpa-lined trucker jacket. Club Chalament, is Timmy’s favorite color purple, or is he still in character as the violet-clad chocolatier for his role in Wonka? Curious minds want to know. He wore black jeans and black sneakers to finish his outfit.

We’ll add Jenner and Chalamet to the list of couples with polarizing fashion aesthetics. However, we’ll hand it to Jenner and Chalament, who confidently pull it off. Like they say, opposites attract!

Although the two haven’t publicly confirmed their relationship, they’ve been spotted together at multiple events, and over the weekend, Kris Jenner might’ve confirmed their relationship. The momager posted an Instagram story promoting Chalament’s SNL gig, and if Kris approves, then it’s real. The two have been rumored to be dating since April, and their first real public appearance came over the summer when they two attended the U.S. Open together. 

With the holiday party season upon us, perhaps look to Jenner for inspiration on your next night out. To get Jenner’s look, you’ll want to start with a black mini-dress. Timothée Chalamet is best known for his incredible dramatic acting, from his appearances in the likes of Dune, Call Me By Your Name, Little Women and Beautiful Boy—but the man has definitely got the comedy in him as well.

Another thing Chalamet is known for by the chronically online? The "Timmy Tim" rap he performed in high school, and which is now a YouTube smash hit.

To deliver his opening monologue on Saturday Night Live this past weekend, the actor—wearing a dazzling sequined jacket from CELINE HOMME by Hedi Slimane—combined his comedic chops with his hilarious rapping skills to perform an incredible musical number with SNL cast member Marcello Hernández, in which the two poke fun at the fact they have such baby faces. (For context, Chalamet is 27, and Hernández is 26, but both could be mistaken for being significantly younger.)

In this rap, the extremely catchy chorus goes, "I got a baby face, but my hips don't lie / Say I'm a bad kid? B****, I'm a bad guy / I got a baby face, but I'm hung like my dad / Trust me baby, this be the best you ever had" (as transcribed by NBC. Those last two lines then vary throughout the song.

Elsewhere, Chalamet raps, "I got a face like a young one, but the body of a dude / So hide your wife, hide your grandma too" and, "I got a baby face, and your girl at my crib / Trust me baby, I eat the b**** with a bib"

Chalamet and Hernández also rap about taxes and divorce to prove they're actually grown adults, and are later joined by fellow baby-faced man Kenan Thompson, 45.

Kylie Jenner—the youngest child of Kardashian/Jenner matriarch Kris Jenner—seems smitten with her boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet, and it seems Kris approves. Page Six reports that the momager has given the actor her stamp of approval ahead of Chalamet’s hosting duties on Saturday Night Live last night.

Kris reposted a promotional video for his appearance via her Instagram Story yesterday, urging her followers to “Tune in to SNL tonight!” The outlet reports that “This appears to be the first time Kris has acknowledged her youngest daughter’s relationship with the Wonka actor since they began seeing each other.” Kylie and Chalamet were first romantically linked in April of this year and made their public debut in September at the third and final L.A. show of Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour.

Kris’ repost is especially poignant considering Kylie and Chalamet have kept pretty much completely silent surrounding their relationship. That said, in an October interview with WSJ Magazine, after an interviewer asked for Kylie’s thoughts on Chalamet’s film Dune, Kylie said, with a smirk, “I do love that movie.”

After Chalemet’s SNL hosting gig concluded last night, Kylie joined him at the afterparty in New York City, People reports. TMZ reports that Sophie Turner, Dakota Johnson, and Jon Hamm were also in attendance.

We can only hope that Matthew Perry (as well as all who leave us—especially those who leave us unexpectedly) knew how loved he was: celebrity tributes are pouring out for the Friends star, who died suddenly yesterday as a result of an apparent drowning at his home in Los Angeles. He was just 54 years old.

Warner Bros. shared a photo from Perry’s time on Friends, where he was one-sixth of the cast of the most famous show on television for a decade: “We are devastated to learn of Matthew Perry’s passing,” the caption read. “He was a true gift to us all. Our heart goes out to his family, loved ones, and all of his fans.”

On Monday, Perry's five remaining Friends cast members released a joint statement that read "We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we're going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss. In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty's family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world." The message was then signed by Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer.

On Sunday, Friends co-creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane, as well as executive producer Kevin Bright, issued a joint statement of their own that read "We are shocked and deeply, deeply saddened by our beloved friend Matthew's passing. It still seems impossible. All we can say is that we feel blessed to have had him as part of our lives. He was a brilliant talent. It's a cliche to say that an actor makes a role their own, but in Matthew's case, there are no truer words. From the day we first heard him embody the role of Chandler Bing, there was no one else for us. We will always cherish the joy, the light, the blinding intelligence he brought to every moment — not just to his work, but in life as well. He was always the funniest person in the room. More than that, he was the sweetest, with a giving and selfless heart." It was signed, in Friends' style, "The One Where Our Hearts Are Broken."

Actress Selma Blair spoke out on Instagram, calling Perry her “oldest boy friend,” adding “All of us loved Matthew Perry, and I did especially. Every day. I loved him unconditionally. And he me. And I’m broken. Broken hearted. Sweet dreams Matty. Sweet dreams.”

Fellow actress Olivia Munn wrote on her Instagram Story “He struggled so much with addiction and was brave enough to be open and honest about it. I’m so sorry to his family and friends who are getting the news today. Nothing short of heartbreaking. Rest in love, Matthew Perry.”

Melissa Rivers, a “high school classmate” of Perry’s, wrote on X “So sad. Gone too soon. RIP.” Melissa Gilbert expressed her shock, sharing a photo of Perry and writing “No words.” Rosie O’Donnell posted the cover of Perry’s 2022 memoir and wrote “Too hard” alongside it.

Maggie Wheeler, who famously played Janice alongside Perry on Friends, shared a photo from their time on the show and captioned it “What a loss. The world will miss you Matthew Perry. The joy you brought to so many in your too short lifetime will live on. I feel so very blessed by every creative moment we shared.” Paget Brewster, who had a small role on Friends, tweeted “I’m so very sad to hear about @MatthewPerry. He was lovely to me on Friends and every time I saw him in the decades after. Please read his book. It was his legacy to help. He won’t rest in peace though..He’s already too busy making everyone laugh up there.” 

Actress Mira Sorvino tweeted “Oh no!!! Matthew Perry!! You sweet, troubled soul!! May you find peace and happiness in Heaven, making everyone laugh with your singular wit!!!” Octavia Spencer also spoke out, writing, “I’m incredibly saddened to hear of Matthew Perry’s passing today. His gift to the world will be remembered forever. Sending love to Matthew’s family, friends, co-stars, and millions of fans around the world.” Yvette Nicole Brown added that Perry “was a sweetheart who deserved more peace in this life” and Shannen Doherty, who Perry costarred with on Beverly Hills 90210, spoke of her “lifetime” of friendship with Perry in an emotional Instagram post: “We were a gang way back,” she wrote. “We all grew up together going to the Formosa, North and constantly laughing. Matt, Roger, David, Roxana. We played dare and Matt had to say ridiculous things to girls at the bar. We just always had fun and supported each other. You would always find us all together in a booth speaking in our own made up language. And yes, Matt always had THAT sense of humor.”

Doherty also revealed that, before becoming lifelong friends, the two dated. “Matt and I had a date and it was on Valentine’s Day,” she continued. “He wanted to get a reservation at a restaurant in Malibu but couldn’t so my dad got the reservation for him. We went and he talked about my dad’s Irish persuasiveness the majority of the night. Our friendship spanned a long time. A lifetime really. I know many are hurting, especially our little gang. He will be missed by many and definitely by us. Yes. I could be more poetic or say things better but right now, shock and sadness prevail.”

Rumer Willis, whose father Bruce Willis costarred with Perry in the film The Whole Nine Yards, wrote “When I was a kid and I was on Set while he and my dad were doing whole nine and whole 10 yards he was so kind and funny and sweet with my sisters and me and I think his physical Comedy and that movie still makes me laugh so much,” she wrote. “I know he had many challenges in his life and brought a lot of joy to people with his comedy I hope he can rest peacefully.”

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who was a classmate of Perry’s, wrote “Matthew Perry’s passing is shocking and saddening. Actress Alyssa Milano wrote “Matty was always the funniest person in the room. And the KINDEST. He was kind. Matty, remember when we used to go play bingo at that church in the valley? You made me laugh that painful kind of laugh. A cry laugh. You made me cry-laugh.”

News of Perry’s untimely death broke not long before taping of Saturday Night Live began, and the show paid tribute to Perry, who hosted the show in 1997. The show honored Perry with a title card of his name appearing alongside a black and white portrait of him. Adele also paid tribute to Perry onstage last night at her Las Vegas residency, saying of the actor “It is always so shocking, especially someone that made you laugh and who brought so much joy to your life that you don’t know. This is what I find so strange. I never met him in my life. There is something, you feel so sad about it, especially because you don’t necessarily know what was going on.”

She then dedicated her song “When We Were Young” to Perry.

Gwyneth Paltrow, in a tribute of her own, revealed she and Perry dated, writing on Instagram "I met Matthew Perry in 1993 at the Williamstown Theater Festival in Massachusetts. We were both there for most of the summer doing plays. He was so funny and so sweet and so much fun to be with. We drove out to swim in creeks, had beers in the local college bar, kissed in a field of long grass. It was a magical summer. He had shot the pilot of Friends, but it had not aired yet. He was nervous, hoping his big break was just around the corner. It was. We stayed friends for a while until we drifted apart, but I was always happy to see him when I did."

Paltrow concluded her post "I am super sad today, as so many of us are. I hope Matthew is at peace at long last. I really do."

Justin Timberlake apparently confronted dancer and choreographer Wade Robson over his alleged affair with Britney Spears—while Spears hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live, Page Six reports.

Not long before Timberlake broke up with Spears via a two-word text message while Spears shot a music video, Timberlake joined his then-girlfriend on February 2, 2002, at the NBC show’s iconic 30 Rock studios in Manhattan. What no one knew at the time was, just days before, Timberlake “had found a lengthy breakup note she had written to Robson,” Page Six reports.

“Britney was pulling double duty as a musical guest and host [on SNL],” a former production source told the outlet. “Justin had found a letter which made it clear that the affair had been going on for months, and that she and Wade had been sleeping together. He had been trying to get a hold of Wade and finally got him on the phone as Britney was in the middle of SNL. If you watch closely, you will see that he did not join Britney onstage at the end of the show when she thanked them.” (Excuse us while we go try to find SNL archives from 2002…)

After the taping ended, Spears and Timberlake “spent 40 minutes huddled in her dressing room before heading to the afterparty they were hosting at Serafina,” Page Six reports. One month later, their three-year relationship was over.

In Spears’ recently released memoir, The Woman in Me, she confessed that she did cheat on Timberlake with Robson (after discovering that Timberlake had cheated on her), but wrote that she and Robson merely kissed. “We were out one night and we went to a Spanish bar,” she wrote of Robson. “We danced and danced. I made out with him that night.” 

That said, per Page Six, last week singer-songwriter Annet Artani—who helped Spears write “Everytime” in 2003—said that Timberlake found a 14-page breakup letter from Spears to Robson, and hinted that the “affair was more serious than a kiss,” the outlet reports.

Back to that night’s episode of SNL: Timberlake actually joined Spears onstage—along with comedian Chris Kattan—to be a part of a joke in which Kattan claimed he was Spears.

“I know how to settle this,” Spears said in the skit. “Justin, can you come out here for a second?” Timberlake walked onstage to screams from fans, telling Spears, “Listen, I just want to say I had a really great time last night.”

“Justin, that was not me,” Spears said.

“Kattan, you gotta stop doing that, man!” Timberlake yelled, before introducing his girlfriend by saying, “Britney Spears is here!” He then joked, “Baby, are you sure it wasn’t you?”

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were spotted out on yet another date in New York City this weekend.

The popstar and NFL pro were photographed outside of Waverly Inn, a celebrity hotspot frequented by the likes of Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, and Sarah Jessica Parker, and which Donald Trump once said serves the "worst food in the city," as the restaurant proudly displays on its menu.

Kelce, wearing a beige velvet jacket and matching pants with a black t-shirt and Nike sneakers, was pictured clasping Swift's hand in his, and smiling delightedly—looking as if he couldn't believe his luck at being on a date with such a cool lady.

Swift was wearing a sheer, long-sleeved black floral top with lime green accents over a black leather mini-skirt, paired with black, high-heeled lace-up combat boots and a raspberry red shoulder bag. Her hair was styled in a romantic updo, and she went without her Reputation red lip this time around.

This new dinner date came right off the heels of the alleged couple's big night out in the city on Saturday, where they both made short cameos on Saturday Night Live.

Before the show, they had a fancy dinner at Nobu together, and after the show, they headed to the after-party hand in hand. Kelce was even photographed sweetly kissing Swift's head. The two apparently left the party around 4 a.m., which is approximately seven hours past my bedtime, for your reference.

"Travis and Taylor seemed to really be enjoying the night, and each other, even kissing throughout the night," a source told Page Six previously. "Everyone was in a great mood and having a great time."

The two first sparked dating rumors weeks ago, after Kelce admitted that he tried giving Swift his number after one of her concerts. The singer was then spotted attending three of Kelce's games with the Kansas City Chiefs. They certainly seem to be going strong.

Pete Davidson took on Ryan Gosling's Barbie movie song "I'm Just Ken" on this weekend's episode of Saturday Night Live, calling it "I'm Just Pete."

The skit begins with Davidson going to work on the show with a cake that says, "Excited for a fun week!" on it, but overhearing some of the writers badmouthing him for returning to SNL so soon after leaving (he quit in May 2022).

A downcast Pete then begins singing and making fun of himself, alluding to the things he does while high and the insults that have been hurled at him ("butthole eyes" being one).

Then, he launches into the chorus, which begins:

'Cause I'm just Pete
Anyone else, I'd be a three
But I guess I'm hot for dudes in comedy
'Cause it's an ugly industry
I'm just Pete
Looking like a meth head on the street

But it's the last two lines of the chorus that really got laughs, when Davidson sings:

People online still call me "Skete"
Because of a guy whose name I can't say legally

That's when an image of Kanye West very briefly flashes on the screen.

West was the one to call Davidson "Skete," back when the comedian was dating the rapper's ex-wife Kim Kardashian, using it as shorthand to harass Davidson. This all escalated so much that the comedian reportedly sought out trauma therapy as a result of West's behavior.

The second chorus further alludes to Davidson's very public love life. It goes:

I generate tons of publicity
For everything except my comedy
I'm just Pete and I like jugs
I'm mentally ill and I'm on drugs

Aside from Davidson's triumphant return, Saturday's episode of SNL generated a ton of headlines thanks to super short cameos by BOTH Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, who have been reportedly dating for several weeks.

Unbelievably, despite the fact that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are perhaps the most famous twosome in the world right now, we’ve never seen any PDA photos of the couple—until last night. (The closest we got was Swift and Kelce, walking side-by-side, on their way out of Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on September 24; though they walked closely together, they weren’t holding hands.) Swift and Kelce were in New York City last night, and both made surprise cameos on Saturday Night Live’s season 49 debut; afterwards, the pair were photographed holding hands while heading to an afterparty for SNL, and also as they left the party.

Both Swift and Kelce were unexpected additions to the show last night—Kelce made a cameo at the end of a sketch parodying the NFL frenzy over their romance, People reports, and Swift introduced musical guest Ice Spice’s second performance during the show. (Swift said all of four words—“Once again, Ice Spice”—but her appearance was met with excited fervor.)

Prior to SNL, the couple had a dinner date at Nobu in New York City. 

It has been a busy week for Swift: on Wednesday, she attended the Los Angeles premiere of her concert film, The Eras Tour, before jetting off to Kansas City to catch Kelce’s Thursday night game that saw the Chiefs square off against the Denver Broncos (Kelce is a tight end for the Chiefs). At some point, both Swift and Kelce made it to New York City before Saturday night. This week's game is the third Chiefs game Swift has attended in three weeks’ time.

Per Us Weekly, on Saturday night Swift “stunned in a black corset top and matching trousers, which she paired with a delicate gold choker, a plaid coat, and her signature red lipstick.” Kelce—quite the fashion plate himself, mind you—“opted for a cream-colored jacket with bluebird imagery on the front and matching slacks.” 

Page Six reports that, after eating at Nobu, Swift and Kelce arrived at 30 Rock (where SNL is taped) just moments before the show went live. “Travis was a surprise,” a source told the outlet. “He and Taylor showed up right before we started.”

At the afterparty—held at Catch Steak in the Meatpacking District—the couple were seen kissing and getting “handsy,” arriving at the restaurant hand-in-hand at 2:20 a.m. and leaving around 4 a.m. “Travis and Taylor seemed to really be enjoying the night, and each other, even kissing throughout the night,” a source told Page Six. “Everyone was in a great mood and having a great time. [Taylor] was seen chatting it up with the night’s musical guest, Ice Spice, and her friends.” 

Also in attendance were fellow new couple Pete Davidson and Madelyn Cline, Lorne Michaels (SNL’s creator), Dave Chappelle, Michael Che, Joe Keery, and Colin Jost.

Though Swift and Kelce’s relationship is still in early days, Us Weekly reports the two are “getting closer and closer every day.” Page Six reports that Kelce jokes that Swift “is his good luck charm” after the one recent game she missed—the October 8 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings—saw Kelce get injured. Swift is, for her part, “having the time of her life at these football games cheering on Travis,” a source told the outlet. “Her and her friends are fully embracing this era and are having a lot of fun being there.” They added “Taylor has worked very hard this last year and it’s fun for her to bring all of her friends along, let loose, and show support.” 

Dinner at Nobu, his-and-her cameos on SNL, and partying until 4 a.m. in New York City—that's apparently how you do date night when you're the most famous couple in the world.

To promote his memoir Spare, Prince Harry appeared on 60 Minutes, Good Morning America, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert—but he almost appeared on another popular American television show to promote the book: Saturday Night Live.

According to multiple outlets, Harry was this close to appearing on the iconic comedy show, but at the last minute, apparently, the appearance fell through. 

According to a source speaking to Page Six, “I know that Harry was all in. He was really serious about doing it—and it would have been great fun as promo for the book. SNL producers have been after Harry for a while. Everyone on the show was really into the idea, and people would have definitely tuned in.”

Another industry insider tells the outlet “There’s always lots of names in the mix, but Harry was definitely a name being discussed.” In fact, sources tell Page Six, the show’s executive producer Lorne Michaels still loves the idea of Harry appearing on the show, either as a host or, as one of the outlet’s sources says, possibly “coming on as a surprise in a sketch.”

This past Saturday night, during the weekly “Weekend Update” sketch, Michael Che asked James Austin Johnson and Devon Walker—who were playing two “British rappers” and former Eton schoolmates of Harry’s—about the royal family. Johnson, playing a character called “Milly Pounds,” said “They’re mean to our boy Harry, alright. We know what really goes down” before rapping about the Duke of Sussex. Even if Harry himself wasn't there, he is still very much the topic of conversation.

Aubrey Plaza made her long-awaited Saturday Night Live hosting debut this weekend, and she delivered the goods as expected.

Not only did her monologue poke fun at her signature monotone, but the actress also spoofed two of her most iconic roles in the skits.

Firstly, she joined Colin Jost's segment to reprise her role as April Ludgate from Parks and Recreation with Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope. Plaza effortlessly slipped back into her DGAF character's shoes, wearing a gray hoodie and striped t-shirt, and telling people that if they work for local government they can do the bare minimum and get away with it.

"Drive a bus," she advised. "You don't have to be on time, nobody cares. Work for the water department. You can drain the reservoir and find all the bodies and murder clues. Or just be a dog-catcher and just say you couldn't find any. Yeah, because when you work for the local government, doing the bare minimum is doing your part."

Poehler then came on as Leslie and brought the enthusiasm she was famous for on the show, beautifully contrasting April's nonchalance as ever.

Secondly, Plaza participated in a White Lotus spoof titled The Black Lotus, in which the staff refuses to put up with the guests' "foolishness." In it, Plaza plays a truth-talking bartender. Although she didn't spoof her own character from season 2—Harper—there is a scene where a waitress goes up to a man meant to be Plaza's on-screen husband—Ethan—and tells him, "Will your friend be joining us or is he still upstairs f***ing your wife?" If you've seen season 2, you'll understand what that's all about.

Also, as part of Plaza's monologue, President Biden actually recorded a short video. Here's what happened. Plaza explained that her family was there and had come from Delaware, where she's from.

She then said, "I was actually voted the most famous person from Delaware. I beat Joe Biden. That's a fact, and he was pissed. He was livid. Look at this video he sent me."

Cut to the President saying joyfully, "Aubrey. You're the most famous person out of Delaware and there's no question about that. We're just grateful you made it out of White Lotus alive." LOL, oh Joe.

Things are majorly heating up for Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson.

For a couple whose only Instagram pic for months appeared on Flavor Flav's account (for some reason?), they sure are turning things around.

Kim Kardashian just posted a new carousel of incredible (and also a little bit incomprehensible) pics of herself and her boyfriend being very lovey-dovey, and there's plenty there to unpick.

In the first pic, a selfie, she is pouting at the camera while he flaunts his new 'stache, with a blissed-out look on his face. AND a new tat is clearly visible (if you're obsessively zooming over every detail like I am) on Davidson's collarbone, which reads "jasmine and aladdin," except the "and" is an INFINITY SIGN, which means these two are going to love each other forever, and ahhh!

In case that reference went over your head, it's a nod to Kete's first kiss (presumably their first, anyway), while they were playing Jasmine and Aladdin in a Saturday Night Live skit together, which is when their romance kicked off.

After that first Instagram photo is when things start to get a lil' weird. Among a few normal shots of the couple chilling by the pool, there's a lot of just Kardashian using Davidson as a stretching accessory, like a yoga strap or something. That includes resting her feet on his chest while she lays flat on her back and he stays standing in front of her.

The latter aspect of these pics prompted Khloé Kardashian to comment, "Do you guys have a foot fetish too?" referring to Kourtney and Travis Barker's—ahem—preferences.

Aside from that, friends and family were mostly thrilled for the happy couple. Malika Haqq wrote, "Happy looks great on you;" Steph Shep wrote, "cuteeeeeee;" Paris Hilton wrote, "So happy for you!"

So there you have it! Here's to many happy years of Kete.

And that's a wrap. Pete Davidson has said goodbye to Saturday Night Live after eight years of jokes.

On his final "Weekend Update" segment with co-host Colin Jost, he started out strong with the one-liner, "Hello Colin and Che, and millions of people only watching to see if I bring up Kanye."

In case you didn't quite catch the context there, Pete Davidson has been dating Kim Kardashian—who was previously married to Kanye "Ye" West—since the fall, and West has publicly insulted him on various platforms since then. Davidson also brought up West's mental health struggles on SNL in 2018.

"I never imagined this would be my life, you know," the comedian continued. "I mean, look at me when I started here. Like back then, I was just like a skinny kid and no one knew what race I was. And like now everyone knows I'm white, because I became hugely successful while barely showing up to work."

Carrying on with the self-deprecating jokes, Davidson said, "And look at me now, I'm aging like an old banana! And Colin still looks like the only Kennedy who doesn't drink."

Speaking about some of the things he would miss most after the show, he recalled, "I called [Lorne Michaels, producer of SNL] and said—when I got engaged—I said, 'Lorne, I just got engaged to Ariana Grande after dating for two weeks and he said, 'oh, hold on for dear life!'" ???

Elaborating on his relationship with the producer, he then explained, "And then when I auditioned for SNL, he looked me right in the eye and said, 'I don't think you're right for this show. So let's screw this up together.' And that's exactly what we did, and that's why people who don't think I deserve this job shouldn't hate me, since we have so much in common." This is actually so sweet.

At this point in his speech, Davidson's voice started to crack slightly as he became emotional. "I appreciate SNL always having my back, and allowing me to work on myself and grow and, you know, thank you to Lorne for never giving up on me or, you know, judging me, even when like everyone else was and for believing in me and allowing me to have a place that, like, I could call home with the memories that'll last a lifetime, so thank you guys." :) :) :)

Lizzo would like to settle a few rumors once and for all, OK? Stop gossiping, you little gossips.

The star hosted Saturday Night Live this past weekend, and she used her monologue to make sure we can all tell what's real from what's not.

"While I'm here, I do want to address some rumors," the... "Rumors" singer said. "I've heard a lot of gossip online that I'm dating every little white boy in Hollywood? They think I'm collecting members of One Direction like Infinity Stones."

She continued, "I even heard a rumor that I'm pregnant with Chris Evans' baby?? I have no idea where that one started. It could be the TikTok I did where I said, 'I'm pregnant with Chris Evans' baby.'"

*cue laughs and claps*

"It's called manifesting," Lizzo concluded. Fair enough.

In her speech, the singer tried her best to break the record for how many times a person said "bitch" on live TV, and did honorably.

She also gave us her DNA breakdown in a bit more detail than we were privy to on "Truth Hurts," in which she claimed to be "100 percent that bitch."

"Well, to be completely honest, I'm really like 50 percent that bitch, 10 percent boss bitch, and 40 percent flute-playing band nerd bitch," she explained.

So Lizzo is obviously adding comedian to her already many pages-long resume. ICYMI, said resume now also includes TV producer and shapewear designer, and it doesn't look like she's intending to stop there. Thankfully for all of us. Can't wait for her next career move, TBH.

Zoë Kravitz is so loved. No, not by you and me—although yes, that too—but by her sweet family, specifically dad Lenny and stepdad Jason Momoa.

After the Batman actress appeared on Saturday Night Live this past weekend, Lenny posted a photo of himself kissing his beaming daughter's head and one of them (I think) holding hands on Instagram. He wrote, "To see you shine in the same building where your grandparents met and worked was surreal. You were perfection. I love you endlessly."

Momoa, who is married to Zoë's mom Lisa Bonet, chimed in, "so stoked for you. what a amazing moment. love u both"

I mean, how cute is that??

BTW, if you're curious which grandparents Lenny is referring to, he means his own parents. His dad Sy Kravitz was a film producer for NBC, while his mom Roxie Roker notably acted in The Jeffersons.

On SNL, Zoë Kravitz gave a cute monologue about Catwoman that was quickly interrupted by a whole host of "cat people."

As is tradition, she also appeared in a series of skits throughout the evening. She spoofed a very annoying (and possibly murderous?) maid of honor making a wedding speech, a teenager discovering her dad's old home movies, a contestant on game show "Word Crunch," and much, much more.

If you loved Zoë's dramatics in Little Big Lies and her acrobatics in The Batman, you'll be super impressed with how good she is at comedy, too. Can't wait to see what she does next.

If you spent any time at all on the internet this past weekend, you probably heard that Kim Kardashian West hosted Saturday Night Live. Her opening monologue was incredibly savage—touching on everything from Kanye West's divorceable personality to her family's history with O.J. Simpson—but that wasn't KKW's only opportunity for comedy that night.

Kardashian also starred in several of SNL's signature skits, including one where she played the role of her older sister, Kourtney. In the segment, titled "The People's Kourt," Kardashian wore shoulder-length straight hair and judge's robes, and liberally wielded a gavel while speaking in her sister's infamous drawl. Her impression was entirely spot-on.

The skit was a promo video for a spoof show where "Kourtney" would judge on cases involving her drama-prone family. Kris Jenner and Khloé Kardashian made guest appearances, submitting their cases to the court. The Kardashian clan's resident mom-ager sued Kylie and Kendall Jenner (played by SNL cast members)—the former for not having given birth already, and the latter for never causing drama. When Kendall riposted, "I'm a Jenner, not a Kardashian," Kris clapped back, "and that's something you need to work on, honey." Kim/Kourtney chimed in with a well-timed, "ew, this is so cringe."

Amid the various cases, the judge took a break to sit on an actor playing Travis Barker's lap, when they talked about what they would do to each other later and called each other "babe" and "baby" approximately 600 times. She also brought in her good friends Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly (actors, again) just to watch them touch tongues for a bit, as they do.

All in all, some solid comedy from Kim.

When it was announced that Kim Kardashian West would be hosting Saturday Night Live this season, it’s probably fair to assume that many people had fairly low expectations. After all, the family’s long-running TV show featured some spectacularly hackneyed line reads and that was allegedly reality. But something to remember about Kim is that she is used to people’s low expectations of her—and has become a true pro when it comes to flipping those expectations upside-down. Never underestimate Kim, that’s the lesson here.

So with that in mind, you’ll be unsurprised to hear that her SNL monologue was genuinely funny—and, for someone who carefully orchestrates her public image as much as Kim does, surprisingly revealing! She really went there, joking about her late dad, Robert Kardashian’s defense of O.J. Simpson, her mom’s helicopterish momagerial style, and her relationship with Kanye, whom she divorced earlier this year. (Though the two remain close, and he reportedly even visited her on-set and offered advice as she prepared for her SNL debut.)

“I married the best rapper of all time,” Kim said of her ex-husband during the monologue. “And not only that, he’s the richest Black man in America; a talented, legit genius who gave me four incredible kids. So when I divorced him, you have to know that it came down to just one thing: His personality.” (The line got applause, though she admitted that it sounded “mean.”)

Other jokes that felt a little barbed? Kim’s praise of her mom Kris, for having the foresight to avoid a certain unsavory name. “With all of the ‘K’ names it’s really impressive that my mom didn’t pick ‘Karen.’ Somehow she just knew,” said Kim. “I don’t know how she saw that one coming and not Caitlyn.” Yow.

Caitlyn and Kanye bore the brunt of the jokes that Kim made—at one point, she even got them both at the same time by faking an announcement for a political run and then saying she was kidding because “we can’t have three failed politicians in one family”—but her sisters didn’t get out entirely unscathed. After introducing how she wanted to host the sketch show in order to show she was more than just a pretty face “and good hair, and great makeup, and amazing boobs, and a perfect butt,” she added, “Basically, I’m just so much more than that reference photo my sisters showed their plastic surgeons.” That is savage. Well done, Kim, for understanding the assignment.

Dave Chappelle opened the first episode of Saturday Night Live following the 2020 election last night with a biting, 16-minute standup set in lieu of a traditional monologue.

Chappelle took to the stage to deliver a no-holds-barred monologue that took aim at the coronavirus, Donald Trump, and the state of life in America today. Here are some highlights:

On Trump's reaction to COVID-19:

"He called the coronavirus the Kung flu. I said, 'You racist, hilarious son of a b**ch!' I'm supposed to say that, not you! It's wrong when you say it.' You know what Trump did after all that stuff? Went out and got the coronavirus. Wasn't that something? You know, when he got coronavirus, they said everything about it on the news. You know what they didn't say? That it was hilarious."

On how Democrats should respond to Joe Biden's victory:

"I would implore everybody who's celebrating to remember, it's good to be a humble winner. Remember when I was here four years ago? Remember how bad that felt? Remember that half the country right now still feels that way. Please remember that. Remember that for the first time in the history of America, the life expectancy of white people is dropping. Because of heroin, because of suicide. All these white people out there that feel that anguish, that pain... Let me tell you something. I know how that feel I promise you, I know how that feels."

On the importance of forgiveness and empathy in America today:

"You're a police officer. Every time you put your uniform on, you feel like you've got a target on you back. You're appalled by the ingratitude that people have when you would risk your life to save them. Oh, man. Believe me. Believe me, I know how that feels. Everyone knows how that feels. But here's the difference between me and you. You guys hate each other for it. And I don't hate anybody. I just hate that feeling. That's what I fight through.
