Gap x Victoria Beckham and Old Navy x Christopher John Rogers, watch out: Target teamed up with New York-based designer Rosie Assoulin to give competition in the maximalist, dopamine-dressing department. On July 24, a rainbow of summer 2026 color trends will transform your local Target into the world of Rosie Assoulin, a CFDA Award winner known for bright colors, whimsical patterns, and bold nautical stripes.

According to a press release, Assoulin designed airy maxis, joyful matching sets, woven beach bags, and ribbon-adorned sandals to "bring personality to everyday dressing."

If you're drawn to Rosie Assoulin's smile-inducing pinstripes, gingham, and color-blocking looks, now's your chance to buy a piece from the New York-based brand on a budget. In true Target style, most women's ready-to-wear styles from the Target x Rosie Assoulin line are shoppable for under $50. For comparison, a cotton poplin shirtdress design from the brand starts at $650.

The designer, who had internships at Oscar de la Renta and Lanvin before launching the label in 2013, has long been celebrated for her more-is-more POV. This spills over to the Target collection, which features bright hues like cobalt blue, poppy red, and lemon yellow.

Her artful approach to print is also present in the offering. Nowhere is that more clear than in the campaign, which shows a model styled in a green matching set with a multicolored graphic bandeau underneath.

Other noteworthy apparel details include contrasting hems. A striped two-piece gets a thick blue stripe on the peplum waistline and pants. Meanwhile, a lemon floor-grazing strip makes a maxi dress's butter yellow gingham even brighter.

The collection also features accessories, including flip-flop sandals with oversized striped ribbon straps and raffia handbags that beg to be whisked away on vacation.

“My favorite thing about this collection—and all of Rosie’s work—is her ability to pair bold silhouettes, expressive color and an unmistakable point of view with pieces that feel effortless to wear," Tara Russell, senior vice president of apparel and accessories at Target, said in the press release. "It captures the optimism and ease of late summer while giving guests fresh, designer-inspired style they can make their own long after the season ends.”

Target x Rosie Assoulin marks the Brooklyn native's first foray into select home decor products. So while patterned two-pieces will light up your summer closet, striped towels and mix-and-match dishware will keep the compliments coming in your kitchen.

That's not to say Rosie Assoulin is a stranger to the lifestyle category. Back in 2020, she created watercolor-style journals, pens, and pencils with stationery label Papier. She also regularly reunites with Palm Beach-based brand J. Logan Home on home pieces only available at pop-ups.

Beyond the home decor department, Rosie Assoulin has previously partnered with Allbirds to create unisex slides; with Sergio Rossi on colorful ballet flats; and with Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop on chambray and poplin pieces. With this latest partnership, the designer is joining Target's long list of luxury and New York-based collaborators, including Kate Spade, Diane von Furstenberg, LoveShackFancy, and Missoni.

When the Kate Spade New York x Target collaboration hits shelves on April 12 after two years in the making, lunge for the bags first.

There will be a lot of brightly-colored pieces to sift through—more than 300, in fact, ranging from delightful polka dotted dresses and printed matching sets to equally cheery home decor. But the bags—some entirely beaded, others in a flexible striped knit—are the standouts.

Kate Spade, after all, rewrote accessory history with the square-shaped nylon Sam bag's debut in 1993. Decades after Gwyneth Paltrow and the Olsen twins were among its earliest '90s-era adopters, 2025 stars like Nicola Coughlan, Gabrielle Union, and Ayo Edebiri are still toting the Sam bag in earnest.

The Target collaboration keeps Kate Spade's signature top handles and ladylike box silhouettes. But these styles aren't quite as minimally-leaning as their predecessors. Contrasting black-and-white trims and a slew of cherry bag charms meet today's demand for personalized (and personality) bags.

An under-$100 ticket to spring's nostalgic bag trends isn't all this collab has to offer. (Though the prices are welcome in a recessionary fashion landscape: More than half the pieces are less than $15.) Target x Kate Spade is also one of the most inclusive pairings to hit the mass retailer's shelves. A press release for the collection confirms sizing ranges from 00-30.

"With versatile pieces that work for every occasion and can't-miss prices, this partnership brings together Kate Spade's signature style with Target's legacy of making the best design accessible to all," Jil Sando, Target executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, said in a press release.

Dozens of notable alumni have taken their staple pieces to Target's designer collaboration program since the inaugural collection in 1999. Some years have gone the capital-R runway route with lines from Anna Sui, Proenza Schouler, and one of its all-time best sellers, Missoni. Several designers, like current Gap creative director Zac Posen and Isaac Mizrahi, teamed up with Target while running eponymous fashion brands that have since shuttered. Then there are the emerging, cool-girl brands who hit the mass-market bull's eye with a Target deal—like the British dress experts at Rixo and Sergio Hudson, an expert in technicolor tailoring.

Kate Spade's Target collaboration arrives at a time when late '90s and early Y2K nostalgia are at an all-time high in fashion. It's the perfect environment for the no-nonsense Sam bag to rise again. And if anyone misses the impulse buy versions, don't worry. The $158 original are still very much in stock—and clearly timeless.

Gwen Stefani made history during Monday night's Grammy awards, creating the first-ever music video created on live television—a Target-sponsored one which aired during a four-minute commercial break. The epic video for "Make Me Like You" featured seven costume changes, more than 40 performers, and a crew of 250 people at a 32,000-foot soundstage in Burbank, California.

Stefani and her fellow salon-goers hold tabloids that read "Gwen Pregnant With Alien Baby," likely a reference to all the false rumors that have been circulating about her personal life lately. Her real hairstylist, Danilo Dixon, was in the video fixing her 'do, and her real stylists, Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, helped out with costume changes throughout. 

Then, later in the video, Gwen heads to a bar with a neon "Blake's" sign, which was modeled after boyfriend Blake Shelton's real handwriting, according to a press release. Shelton liked it so much that he apparently ran off with the prop after the shoot was over. 

The performance went off without a hitch—well, except for that one roller-skating dancer who slipped and fell while on camera. Though it looked like Stefani, it was clearly a body double who was skating backwards while Gwen hit her mark for the next shot. Which she did, flawlessly. 

According to Billboard, a rehearsal just before the main event didn't go as well, and Stefani had banged her head and worried everyone. But after handling it perfectly in real time, she reportedly collapsed into Shelton's arms offset, quoting a song lyric, "Thank God I found you." Cheesy, but adorable. Watch the full video below.
