Pop superstar Dua Lipa has now pledged allegiance to the burgeoning color trend in a big way.

In an Instagram post shared by Lipa and the Service95 Book Club, the "Houdini" singer posed with her latest book choice while wearing the strawberry red color trend. Lipa paired a Susmies Isabela Top in the vibrant shade with a pair of distressed jeans—perfectly tying into one of Spring 2026's most popular denim crazes.

What does one wear for their Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony? It's not exactly a red carpet event, meaning gowns aren't required. Even so, the once-in-a-lifetime moment deserves a designer pull. On February 18, Michelle Yeoh bridged the gap between daytime and evening-wear at her star's unveiling with a silk Dior dress.

Three years after winning her first Academy Award, Yeoh finally received a star on Hollywood Boulevard. She shined as brightly as her Oscar in a two-month-old, sunshine yellow slip, seen in Dior's Pre-Fall 2026 look book. Jonathan Anderson's Look 48 began with an elongated boatneck, featuring one sleeveless shoulder and one cap-sleeve. Its bodice mirrored the slightly-slouchy charm of Anderson's viral Post-It note dress during his Loewe tenure, minus the oversize gold pin.

Next, green leaves and vines decorated the waist of the asymmetrical, ankle-grazing skirt. By folding, straightening, and pinning one end of the yellow satin up, the leaves looked as if they were growing fresh from the Wicked actor's hip.

Anderson dressed down the lemon-colored satin look for the corresponding photoshoot using the Spring 2026 show's leading accessories. The model carried a glossy green quilted shoulder bag, which accentuated the dress's leafy embroidery. Tan high-vamp loafers—punctured with a cutout in place of the "O" in Dior—made the maxi suitable for a French girl on the go.

Yeoh, on the other hand, limited her Dior selects to just the dress. Ivory slingback pumps from Roger Vivier added some sparkle, while a collector's edition watch stretched the final 'fit to six-figure status.

The star rarely attends a Hollywood soirée without an impressive timepiece in tow. (Just last week, Yeoh brought a Richard Mille sapphire watch as her plus-one to the Berlin Film Festival.) This time, the brand ambassador styled the RM 037 model: a $360,000 investment piece, encrusted with tens of snow-set diamonds.

At an intimate event hosted by French jeweler Boucheron in L.A., they found the heirloom-worthy pieces that translate their cutting-edge accomplishments into wearable form.

Boucheron gathered a starry guest list at the Harvey House, a famed Hollywood Hills residence designed by legendary architect John Lautner. CEO Hélène Poulit-Duquesne and Creative Director Claire Choisne brought the major names above together to explore 167 years of jewelry history, told through displays of their finest necklaces, earrings, and timepieces. From Ross's black coat styled as a dress to Lyonne's sequin-spangled Valentino mini, A-list guests embodied the event's power-dressing theme—and its affinity for embracing all sorts of styles.

"I would describe the Boucheron woman as a woman who has self-confidence and doesn't need to show her power, but knows precisely what would fit to express her personality," Poulit-Duquesne tells Marie Claire. Some fine and luxury jewelry brands can put limits on their clients' style. "At Boucheron, it's the opposite way of doing things," she says. "We're a lot more innovative. You have to be self-confident to come and choose."

Boucheron has been steadily building its relationships with the West Coast embodiments of its brand. The label recently opened a store on Rodeo Drive, part of a larger push into the United States. For Poulit-Duquesne, the move was a long time coming.

"I was obsessed [with] being in L.A. because it's a place where you have different clients, of course, and where creativity is at the center," she says. "There's a lot of innovation. People here are very energetic. There's an entrepreneurial spirit."

Poulit-Duquesne points out a phrase she says you hear often at Boucheron HQ: "We never impose, we always propose." It's the ethos for engaging with their boundary-pushing clients.

"Come to us and you will find a piece in our portfolio that will fit you, express who you are, be part of your style," she says. "It's really about who you are in yourself."

Last week, in an unexpected turn of events, the Swiss luxury watchmaker TAG Heuer debuted a smartwatch and sneaker created in collaboration with American athletic innovator New Balance. You may not have had this link-up on your bingo card, but the two brands actually have a lot in common: over a century’s worth of heritage, a shared commitment to excellence, and a brand ambassador, two-time Olympic champion and world record-holder hurdler Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone.

The Connected Calibre E5—or the Connected E5—is Tag Heuer's fifth smartwatch. In fact, the brand was the first luxury Swiss watchmaker to enter the category all the way back in November 2015, mere months after Apple released its first Apple Watch.

Try mentally placing yourself 10 years ago, before tracking your steps and checking emails from your wrist became the norm: The idea was quite novel. Now imagine being a Swiss luxury watchmaker back then, unsure of the impact a product designed for the mainstream (by Apple, who already was rendering analog watches obsolete by putting a smart phone in everyone’s hands) would have on your industry. The idea was threatening to many, but TAG Heuer stared this could-be opponent directly in the eyes.

Perhaps it learned from when, decades earlier, the watch industry faced a similar existential crisis as the advent of the quartz battery—a more efficient, affordable method of powering a watch—nearly drove mechanical watchmaking to extinction. The industry "was nearly decimated," says veteran watch journalist Roberta Naas. “But it learned from its mistakes, and when smartwatches started stealing wrist space around the world, savvy brands were quick to jump on the bandwagon.” (According to a Deloitte study, smartwatches now dominate everyday wristwear.)

Naas name-drops TAG Heuer specifically as the “prime example of diving in head-first." The 165-year-old brand has been at the forefront of many game-changing moments in watchmaking. It was the first watch brand to partner with a Formula 1 team back in 1971, changing the course of sports marketing as we know it today.

In the "avant garde" spirit the brand's name suggests (TAG stands for "Techniques D'Avant Garde"), that first Connected watch was more of a statement than anything. Now in its 5th generation (hence: “E5”), its tech has caught up with the symbolism. “In 10 years, they’ve built up a dynamite Connected watch business and they’re making smart moves by teaming with contemporary lifestyle brands,” Naas says. (Before New Balance, TAG Heuer worked with KITH on the reissue of the cult-favorite F1 watch.)

The Connected E5 clocks in at 40mm (a decidedly unisex case-size in this context, the same as the smallest Apple watch) and is predominantly made out of black DLC-coated Grade-2 titanium. This table of elements-sounding material is at once lightweight, robust, and comfortable.

Rather than a generalized device, the Connected E5 is designed for the modern runner interested in optimizing their performance, whether they’re seeking to beat the next world record at the LA Olympics in 2028 (like McLaughlin-Levrone, the face of this campaign) or just trying to hit a marathon PR. That’s where partnering with the authority on all things running came in: The E5’s proprietary operating system was developed in close collaboration with New Balance, and features a slew of apps that synthesize navigation and personal fitness metrics into a user-friendly experience designed to help you, dear runner, run your little heart out.

Aesthetics-wise, New Balance and TAG Heuer landed on a striking color palette of muted purple and what I like to call “Gatorade green” that seamlessly finds its way on the watch itself, as well as the accompanying sneakers. The FuelCell SuperComp Elite v5 is equipped with a carbon fiber plate and an ultra-responsive PEBA midsole. (It's seriously the lightest shoe I’ve ever held in my hands.) They were created in a literal lab—specifically, New Balance’s Sports Research Lab, directed by a woman named Jinger S. Gottschall who holds a PhD in integrated physiology.

TAG Heuer’s engineers also worked closely with New Balance’s specialists to introduce the patented Cushion Comfort System, made with a textile from the shoe’s inlay, for the watch strap, so your wrist won’t chafe as you hit mile 19 in your marathon training.

The focus on running is no accident. If you feel like your Instagram feed has been flooded recently with images of cool people running in cool athletic wear, you’re not alone: We’re currently undergoing a running boom, sparked by the pandemic when shuttered gyms and spin studios left few other options for exercising. According to the New York Road Runners (NYRR), a nonprofit that produces the New York Marathon, a record-breaking 200,000 people applied to run the 2025 marathon, a 22 percent increase from 2024.

Running has also become a popular social activity. According to the fitness app Strava (which you can sync your Connected E5 watch to), participation in run clubs grew by 59% in 2024. Female runners are a large driving force behind this swell in popularity; the BBC states that 45% of the 56,640 participants in this year’s London Marathon were women—and women made up 49.55% of UK applications for the 2026 ballot.

At the highest level, professionals like McLaughlin-Levrone represent a shift in how the world perceives competitive running. If you watched the Paris 2024 Olympics, you likely caught her seizing the gold medal in the women's 400m hurdles, setting a new world record of 50.37 seconds. Not only was she wearing a TAG Heuer Link watch (her lucky “world record watch,” as she calls it), but she was in a full face of makeup, along with the rest of her opponents. Female runners at this calibre are not only breaking records, but they look good doing it, conveying a message of fierce glamor that younger women look up to.

“When you talk about some of the top athletes in track and field, most of them right now are women,” says McLaughlin-Levrone in a hotel suite in Boston, fully decked in New Balance and her E5 watch. “We’re seeing this generation doing amazing things, and I’m grateful to be a part of that and expand upon that. The question is: How can we help elevate them to the position they deserve to be in?”

Despite all of the accolades, there's great room for growth. According to TOGETHXR, a platform dedicated to achieving gender equality in sport, “women make up 44% of all participants in sport yet only receive less than 16% of sports media coverage.” Gender aside, McLaughlin-Levrone points out how “track and field, at this current moment, does not have the structure to make the stars in the sport stars: Unlike, say, basketball or football—two sports that have transcended the game by venturing into the category of entertainment—it doesn’t have a television deal.

“Our sport has some amazing characters, and these athletes don’t get their just due because of things like this,” she continues. “I really hope in the future that there can be the infrastructure to professionalize our sport, because there’s no real distinction at the moment between pro and amateur, then also [to] create those opportunities through TV deals, through brands, sponsorships and endorsements for the stars that we do have, to help them grow.”

‘90s prep—in all of its relaxed, rich, and studied nonchalance—is back. Boat shoes are everywhere. Rugby shirts have had a renaissance. And energized by images from Ryan Murphy’s upcoming American Love Story series on Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy and John F. Kennedy Jr., the internet commentariat can’t stop arguing about how to do the era’s signature style justice.

But for Brynn Wallner, founder of the massively popular luxury watch platform Dimepiece, reviving ‘90s prep in the ripe year of 2025 came down to pulling one specific piece out of the vault: the Timex Intrepid, a stainless steel sailing watch beloved by JFK Jr. during the decade—only this time, reworking it so women can wear the timepiece, too.

A pioneer within the women's watch collecting space, Wallner partnered with Alan Bedwell, a vintage watch dealer and founder of Foundwell, and the American watch brand to release the Timex Intrepid Dimepiece edition, launching today, August 7. “It’s a scaled-down, more femme-friendly version of the watch at 36mm (versus the 46mm of the original) that’s super easy to wear, regardless of gender and wrist size,” Wallner says over email. “It also feels very true to my personal style, which is inspired by '90s prep and the promise of New England—summers swimming in the ocean, tan skin, salty hair, taking long walks, getting invited on sailboats, blackberry soft serve, etc.”

Wallner reconnected with the Timex Intrepid on a deep dive of JFK Jr.’s image archive, coming across a photo of the late, legendary American attorney and publisher wearing the 1995 dive-inspired, water-resistant watch. She and Bedwell, who’ve worked together since 2021 curating watch collections for luxury retailer Dover Street Market and selling pieces to Charli XCX, Bad Bunny, and Debby Ryan, had an instinct that the piece would succeed as a modern-day revival. Not only because of the preppy landscape of 2025’s trends, but since the Timex Intrepid 1995 taps into the enduring appeal of John-John—“everyone seems to be cosplaying like they're part of the Kennedy family right now,” as Wallner puts it.

The duo reached out to Timex and proposed a rerelease of the Intrepid 1995, which took shape in a spring 2025 drop of the throwback style that sold out shortly after its initial release. “Timex’s reissued Intrepid 1995 also found its way onto the actor Paul Kelly in BTS shots of Ryan Murphy's American Love Story, a huge validation for us,” Wallner adds.

But Timex’s smaller-sized, quartz movement team-up with Dimepiece, Wallner’s first-ever watch design collaboration, is an achievement that represents far more than just the endurance of prepster style and Kennedy’s everlasting cool. It’s a step within the watch industry—a notoriously exclusive, slow-moving, and typically boys-only club—toward genuine inclusion.

“Somewhere around the Y2K era,” Wallner explains, “most watch brands halted production on their smaller sports watches, and watches marketed to women were stripped of their simplicity in favor of diamonds, pink dials, and other stereotypically girly attributes. My style is more gender-neutral with a borrowed-from-the-boys vibe, which I felt was missing from modern watch offerings. Of course, I love a slinky Cartier Panthère or a gem-set Chopard watch, but I was craving something sporty and gender neutral, yet cute—which is what this Timex is. It satisfies my desire for what I want to see more of in the industry.”

Last night, Chanel celebrated the opening of its first-ever U.S. Watches & Fine Jewelry Flagship Boutique, inspired by the infamous mansion located at 18 Place Vendôme in Paris. The star-filled evening brought together A-listers dressed in head-to-toe Chanel, including the queen of uncomplicated elegance, Katie Holmes.

The actress attended the celebration wearing a Chanel cashmere cardigan and pants set from the label’s Spring-Summer 2024 collection.
