For a while, Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik were one of the most popular celebrity couples around—and how could they not be? She's a supermodel; he's a former member of one of the biggest boy bands ever, One Direction. But, after six years of being on-and-off, things came to a shocking and dramatic end in 2021, a year after they welcomed their daughter, Khai.

Not only was it reported in October 2021 that Gigi and Malik were over, but that news was accompanied by a claim that Malik had a physical altercation with Gigi's mother, Yolanda Hadid. Now, in a new interview with Vogue, Gigi has shared where she and her ex stand over three years later. And despite going through this very tough and very public situation, they're doing really well as co-parents.

To summarize what happened: In October 2021, TMZ reported that Yolanda claimed Malik "struck" her and that she was interested in filing a police report. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star did not speak out directly herself. Malik commented at the time, "I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid."

A couple of days later, ABC News reported that Malik plead no contest to harassment charges, including Yolanda's claim that he shoved her against a dresser. He was sentenced to 360 days of probation, to stay away from Yolanda, and an anger management class.

In a statement (via Us Weekly), Malik said, "I very much want to create a safe and private space for my daughter [Khai] to grow up in ... In an effort to protect that space for her, I agreed to not contest claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner’s who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago."

Now, it seems this situation from their past is far behind them. Gigi—who is now in a relationship with actor Bradley Cooper—says that she and Malik have "love, and a feeling of camaraderie" between them as they parent Khai.

"There is the hard part of the world knowing this much, and thinking they know everything,” the 29-year-old explained to Vogue. “And at the end of the day, we’re not interested in giving everyone our whole story. What we are interested in is raising our daughter together, with so much respect for each other, and not just as co-parents, but what we’ve been through together."

Gigi talked about their custody arrangement, too. "Zayn and I do our custody schedules months in advance," she said. "That doesn’t mean that it doesn’t change here and there, but we help each other out and have each other’s backs.” She also mentioned that Khai is already taking after Malik when it comes to music.

Malik previously spoke out about co-parenting with Gigi in a 2023 interview with Call Her Daddy. "Co-parenting is good," the "Pillowtalk" singer said (via Harper's Bazaar). "We have a really good relationship for Khai. She’s the main importance. It’s going well."

While Gigi was more open about her relationship with Malik in the new Vogue interview, in the past, she did touch on their custody arrangement and how it affected her career.

"I think when you are a parent, you have to be intentional, because now, I literally have half the time," she told Porter in 2023. "I work when my daughter is with her dad, and that’s the time I have. And the jobs I choose to fill that time with have to be ones that are fulfilling to me. I will literally fit in as many jobs as I can on those days. I’m sometimes a crazy person, but if it means a lot to me, then I do it."

Exes Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have kept their daughter, Khai—who turned 4 on Sept. 19—out of the spotlight, choosing not to reveal her face on social media or reveal many details about the child, including her last name. But even though Hadid didn't show her daughter's face in an Instagram post on Thursday, she ended up revealing Khai's full name in the process.

"Our girl is 4 today and we celebrated all week!!!" the supermodel captioned her celebratory post, adding her daughter "loves animals (fantastical ones too), music, baby yoda, all things nature & bugs, Descendants, anything squishy or miniature, and if possible- will be in the water from dawn til dusk. 🐬"

Hadid included plenty of peeks at their birthday celebrations in the post, including a shot of herself paddling with Khai in a glass-bottomed kayak and some close-ups of a seriously adorable baby Yoda-themed cake.

But one pic was especially personal, showing off a scroll addressed to "Khai Malik," thereby ending the speculation of whether the couple had chosen to use Hadid's surname or the former One Direction member's moniker.

The Descendants-themed paper seemed to fit in perfectly with Khai's interests, inviting the 4-year-old to attend Auradon Prep, as featured in the Disney movies.

Hadid and Malik split in 2021 after accusations that he'd hit Hadid's mom, Yolanda. The singer shared his own birthday tribute to Kai on Instagram and calling her "the most important person in my life."

Other pics showed off a rare look at Hadid's casual mom style, including one of Hadid wearing a brown trucker hat and a baggy coat as she walked alongside Khai—who rode a white horse with a rainbow-hued mane and tail.

In another shot, the model rocks paint-splattered camo-print cargo pants and flip-flops to check out Khai's cake, while the birthday girl sports festive pink cowboy boots.

Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid's daughter Khai is the center of her dad's world, and it sounds like she's also Malik's biggest fan.

According to a new interview with the One Direction alum in Harper's Bazaar India, the 3-year-old habitually asks, "is my baba singing?" when she hears a song—which is just about the cutest thing I've ever heard.

Malik also opened up about how little Khai has changed his life, including making him a more patient person.

"It goes by fast!" he said. "Being a father has only inspired me and made me a better human. My daughter is my whole life and has given me purpose."

Khai, who was born in September 2020, will turn 4 years old this year. The singer and supermodel have been co-parenting the little girl since they broke up circa October 2021, primarily raising her in rural Pennsylvania.

Appearing on the Call Her Daddy podcast in 2023, Malik opened up about how his daughter has awakened the childlike part of him.

He told host Alex Cooper at the time, "I feel like I've rekindled my own childhood through her, like I feel like we get to a certain point in adult life where everything's kind of vague and gray and boring, and she's brought that color back for me for sure, yeah."

The proud dad explained that his little one is "funny" and "cheeky" but also "chilled" and a big reader.

Malik has been famously discreet about his life since he left One Direction in 2015, but according to Bazaar, he's "ready to be less elusive" these days. Hadid and Malik split in 2021, but remain dedicated to raising Khai together, People reports. “It’s been really easy for me and Gigi to kind of just ease into it, I guess,” Malik said of fatherhood in an interview on “Valentine in the Morning.” “She [Khai] kind of made it easy for us. She sleeps really well. Zayn Malik has given his first in-depth interview in six years by appearing on blockbusting podcast Call Her Daddy, hosted by Alex Cooper.

During the hourlong interview, the singer opened up about his upbringing in Northern England, his rise to fame as part of One Direction, his solo career, his life out in Pennsylvania, his experience of anxiety, and of course his relationship with his two-year-old daughter Khai, whom he shares with ex Gigi Hadid.

"The crazy thing is obviously I have her 50 percent of the time, so that time I have with her is so important, because I feel like she's growing up so fast. So when I'm with her, I don't work like at all," Malik shared about his time with Khai.

"I just spend a full day with her doing things that she wants to do, like painting, Play Doh, this, that, go to the park, go to the theme park, go to the zoo."

He went on to explain how his daughter has changed him, and it's so, so sweet.

"Like we just have fun," he said. "I feel like I've rekindled my own childhood through her, like I feel like we get to a certain point in adult life where everything's kind of vague and gray and boring, and she's brought that color back for me for sure, yeah."

A little later, the proud dad shared a little bit about his little one's personality, and how he feels she takes after him.

"I think she's funny, like she's a bit of a cheeky one. Yeah, she likes to have a bit of a joke and stuff, and like laugh a lot," he said. "She's chilled, though, but she loves reading as well. Which is something I think she definitely took from me. Like she just has an affinity for words, like she remembers everything."

Of course, he also referenced his experience of coparenting with Hadid, which he said is going smoothly, at least from his side.

"Coparenting is good," he said. "We have a really good relationship for Khai. She's the main importance. So yeah, it's going well."

After thinking for a few seconds, he added, "I think."

I'm trying and failing to not get too excited about this development, but there are now reports that Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik are dating.

A TikToker posted screenshots of texts her friend—a hostess in a New York City restaurant—sent her, in which she claimed that the two celebs had walked into her restaurant "hand in hand" and "making out."

The TikTok user then went on to share further evidence that could suggest Malik and Gomez really are dating: the fact that he only follows 18 people on Instagram including Gomez. Meanwhile, she follows a few more than him—a total 251 at time of writing—but of course he is also included in her "following" list.

Meanwhile, an eyewitness corroborated these rumors to Entertainment Tonight, saying, "Selena and Zayn went out in SoHo in New York City last night at around 10:30 pm. They walked in holding hands and were kissing. Most restaurant staff and restaurantgoers didn't notice them. It seemed like they were comfortable together and it was clear that it was a date."

Malik famously used to date supermodel Gigi Hadid, with whom he shares two-year-old daughter Khai, and one source told Us Weekly how Hadid would feel if her ex were confirmed in a relationship with Gomez.

"Gigi has no problem whatsoever with Zayn dating," the source said.

"As long as he is happy and stable and continues to be a good coparent to Khai, she’s fine with whoever he goes out with."

Malik and Hadid dated on and off from circa 2015 to 2021.

Meanwhile, Gomez was most recently linked to The Chainsmokers' Drew Taggart, though she denied the relationship.

Interestingly, the Only Murders in the Building actress was rumored to have kissed Malik's former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan back in 2015, though this rumor was never confirmed by anyone involved.

Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid have broken up after six years together on and off. The news comes after Yolanda Hadid, Gigi's mom, claimed Zayn "struck" her last week, as reported by TMZ.

Describing the incident, a source told Entertainment Tonight, "Yolanda and Zayn had a disagreement that turned hostile. Yolanda is telling people around her that Zayn struck her. Yolanda is extremely upset and it has caused issues with Zayn and Gigi. Gigi was not there for the time of the incident, so she’s had to listen to both sides."

Zayn, who shares one-year-old daughter Khai with Gigi, has issued rare statements denying Yolanda's accusations. To multiple outlets including TMZ, he said the following: "I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private."

Although news of a split between Zayn and Gigi broke after Yolanda's allegations surfaced, sources are contradicting one another regarding the timing of the breakup. Several people "familiar with the situation" told TMZ that it happened a month ago, while another source told ET that the alleged altercation between Zayn and Yolanda precipitated the split.

"Gigi and Zayn broke up after the incident with Yolanda," ET's source said. "The two have been co-parenting but they are not together. They tried to make things work for their daughter, but it wasn’t working out."

Zayn and Gigi have both asked for privacy in separate statements. A rep for the model told ET, "Gigi is solely focused on the best for Khai. She asks for privacy during this time."

On Twitter, the singer wrote, "As you all know I am a private person and I very much want to create a safe and private space for my daughter to grow up in. A place where private family matters aren't thrown on the world stage for all to poke and pick apart.

"In an effort to protect that space for her I agreed to not contest claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner's who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago. "Z was like, 'That’s how I felt! You feel so helpless to see the person you love in pain,'" Gigi said.

"I know my mom and Zayn and Bella were proud of me, but at certain points I saw each of them in terror," the supermodel shared. "Afterward, Z and I looked at each other and were like, 'We can have some time before we do that again.'"

Ultimately, Khai's birth went exactly as she'd hoped, Gigi said. "She was so bright right away," she told the magazine. "That’s what I wanted for her, a peaceful bringing to the world."

The intel comes courtesy of Page Six, which reports that "sources" (presumably close to the model and new mom) told the paper that Hadid gave birth on a farm in rural Pennsylvania.

The unnamed sources also told the paper that Hadid and Malik's baby girl was born on September 19 and that the couple had been "isolating on the farm since May, and were more recently reportedly splitting their time between Pennsylvania and Manhattan."

The farm in question is reportedly close to one that Hadid’s mom, Yolanda, owns in the area. The Page Six report also noted that earlier reports suggested that Malik had previously purchased the farm next to Yolanda's, where he "grows tomatoes, cucumbers and cherries, and likes to ride around on his ATV" and that he and Hadid have a horse named Cool. The more you know, right?

Congratulations are in order for new parents Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik! The couple announced on Wednesday night that their first child together, a baby girl, arrived over the weekend, sharing the first extremely sweet photos of their daughter on Instagram.

Both Hadid and Malik posted black and white photos of Malik holding his daughter's (teeny tiny) hand to announce the happy news. "Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love," Hadid wrote. Her celebrity friends and family shared their congratulations in the comments: Dad Mohamed Hadid wrote, "Congrats .. Jido’s [grandfather's] heart belongs to you.. baby girl," while Hailey Baldwin commented, "Welcome babygirl! So happy for you guys," and Emily Ratajkowski posted, "Congratulations Gigi & Zayn!!"

Malik shared a different photo of his baby daughter's hand (did I mention it's teeny tiny?) holding his finger, along with a moving caption. "Our baby girl is here, healthy and beautiful," he wrote. "to try put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, and thankful for the life we will have together." Congratulations, you two! If you fancy sharing her name, I'm all ears!

Fans of the Hadid sisters are speculating that Gigi may have given birth, based on a throwback photo her younger sister Bella posted on Instagram Tuesday afternoon. In the picture, the sisters are holding their bellies while on their family's farm estate in Pennsylvania. The model captioned the photo, "june 11, 2020 ...🖤 two buns in the oven except mine is from my burger and gigi's is from @zayn ✨👼🏼✨ i love you both so freaking much -can'tstopcrying."

Gigi's mother, Yolanda Hadid, had previously mentioned that Gigi's due date for her baby girl with Zayn Malik would be sometime in September. If you haven't been around a calendar lately, it is indeed September.

According to Page Six, the heartfelt post left some fans to think the post had a deeper message. "Wait Does this mean that Gigi gave birth to the baby," wrote one fan while another said, "omg what if gigi's had the baby….. like we've been saying that she's due this week and its been quiet."

The family hasn't commented on the matter naturally, because hello! It's called privacy!

She was reportedly pregnant as early as February of this year, according to the model. News of her pregnancy didn't break until April, but if you look at the timeline of all the events, she should be having her baby...any day now.

Gigi's explained in the past why she's been keeping her pregnancy offline during an Instagram Live in July. "Obviously I think a lot of people are confused why I'm not sharing more but like, I'm pregnant through a pandemic, like obviously my pregnancy is not the most important thing going on in the world," she shared. "That's a reason that I felt that it's not really something that I need to share apart from with my family and friends. Obviously a lot of people have lost lives due to coronavirus that was in the beginning of quarantine and still happening. And then we moved obviously into the reemergence of the BLM [Black Lives Matter] movement, and I thought that our presence on social media should be used for that."

Hadid referred to her pregnancy on Instagram for the first time Sunday, with a sweet Mother's Day post for mom Yolanda Hadid. Posting a childhood photo of herself with a pregnant Yolanda (Gigi looks about four in the snap, so it's likely Yolanda was pregnant with her youngest child, Anwar, at the time), Gigi said she hoped to parent her child just like her mom parented her.

"Best I could ever ask for," Gigi captioned the photo. "Happy Mother’s Day to the one I’ll do my best to emulate. I love you beyond words @yolanda.hadid you are a superhero!!!!!" Cute!

What a time it's been for Zigi stans! First, news broke that Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik were back together. Then, the lovely news that the pair were expecting their first child together. And now, the internet is very much convinced that the couple are engaged—based on an extremely sweet tattoo Malik just revealed.

As spotted by fan account @ZaynReport on Twitter, jeweler George Khalife shared a photo on his Instagram story of Malik wearing his designs, in which a new tattoo was visible. The design in question? An excerpt from the poem "On Marriage" by Kahlil Gibran.

While Malik might have the whole poem tattooed, only a section of his arm is visible in the photo. Here's the part of the poem Malik definitely got inked:

Which is as sweet as you'd expect, considering the pair separated on great terms—last year, he told People, "I took it as I met a great person, a great friend. It wasn’t like a bad breakup or anything like that."

Hadid recounted her 25th birthday celebrations with her family, explaining why her birthday cake was quite so thrilling. "In the morning, my family brought out an everything bagel cake, which already blew my mind because my craving has been everything bagels—I eat an everything bagel a day," she said. "And so I was already like, so excited that my birthday cake was an everything bagel. But then I found out that Buddy [Valastro], the Cake Boss, made my cake." Valastro made an edible masterpiece, Hadid said: "It was marble cake with chocolate chip buttercream inside."

Of her baby news, Hadid told Fallon, "Obviously, you know, we wish we could’ve announced it on our own terms, but we’re very excited and happy and grateful for everyone’s well wishes and support." While both, as ever, were flawlessly outfitted, Gigi Hadid's pistachio suit demands particular attention. Who designed it, Gigi?! Can you tell them it's the suit of my dreams? Can you suggest that I deserve a 99.9% discount? 

Hadid dropped a pretty major hint at the end of last year that she and Malik had reunited. On Instagram, she shared a photo of a dish she was cooking, adding the caption, "Sunday in the kitchen: about to marinate the chicken for one of my favorites!!! @mammamalik's Chicken Curry Pasta Salad." @mammamalik, as you should be aware by now, is the Instagram handle of Trisha Malik, Zayn's mom.

One photo alone might not have convinced you, but Trisha went on to post it on her story, before sharing a very revealing old video. In the Vogue clip, Hadid answers the question, "What's your favorite restaurant in the world?" with, "My boyfriend's mom's house." I'm about to deliver some potentially major news, and I need you to remain extremely calm: Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik might be back together, according to a recent post on the model's Instagram story. Now take a deep breath. Do not freak out. I do not have time to calm everyone down this morning!

Allow me to set out the evidence. Hadid shared a series of cooking photos on her story Sunday, which wouldn't usually plunge the internet into a speculative frenzy. But she captioned one snap, "Sunday in the kitchen: about to marinate the chicken for one of my favorites!!! @mammamalik's Chicken Curry Pasta Salad." And @mammamalik, otherwise known as Trisha Malik, just so happens to be Zayn Malik's mom.

Things didn't stop there. Not only did Trisha repost Hadid's photo on her story, but she also shared an old video of the model—an extremely telling old video. Posted by @defendzigi (that's Zayn and Gigi, of course), the Vogue clip shows Hadid cooking while a duplicate Hadid asks her, "What's your favorite restaurant in the world?" Her response? "My boyfriend's mom's house." Which would be an unusual video to share if the couple were still separated, no?

Listen, I'll acknowledge it: Hadid might just have remained close with Trisha after splitting from Zayn, and this might be a lot of fuss over nothing. But hey—an unnamed source told E! News back in November, after Hadid's split from Tyler Cameron, that the old flames "went through a phase where they took time apart and weren't communicating at all, but they have been in touch recently." Is it really too much to hope that Zigi has risen again?!

Zayn Malik is kind of hard to miss in public. Aside from the fact he's, well, insanely famous, his newly dyed silver-blue hair will also catch everyone's attention. Or, at least mine when the singer stepped out in New York City on Thursday. Malik dressed in a graphic Wrangler x Peter Max tee, gray slacks, and bright blue Nike sneakers.

The look was "so" Zayn, or so I thought, when it turned out he actually borrowed the tee from his girlfriend. Hadid first wore the Wrangler tee on June 1, and Malik happened to wear it only a few weeks later. The singer also wore Roxanne Assoulin bracelets, one of which is a custom design that Hadid created for him.

The two are known for borrowing each other's clothes. In their joint August 2017 Vogue cover, the couple admitted when it comes to fashion, they don't follow society's gender rules on what they can and can't wear.

"What was that T-shirt I borrowed the other day," Malik asked Hadid in the issue. She responded that it was Anna Sui and Malik said, "I like that shirt. And if it’s tight on me, so what? It doesn’t matter if it was made for a girl."

Hadid echoed his sentiments with, "Totally. It’s not about gender. It’s about, like, shapes. And what feels good on you that day. And anyway, it’s fun to experiment."

Meanwhile, Zayn shared the same photo on his own Instagram.

It's not the first sign that the on-again, off-again couple have rekindled their relationship. Earlier this month, Gigi attended the premiere of Ocean's 8 looking fantastic:

Though you can't see Zayn's face, his hair and inked shirtlessness are quite recognizable. It looks like Gigi came home from her night at the movies to interrupt her on-again boyfriend who was lying on the couch playing Pokemon, as one does.

This isn't the first time the pair—who announced their breakup back in March—have given signs that maybe the breakup was just a break. In late April, Zayn was photographed leaving Gigi's house (in the same outfit he was wearing when he was photographed arriving there the day before), and a few days later, the two were spotted kissing on a New York City street corner.

In her statement announcing the split, Gigi wrote, "As for the future, whatever's meant to be will always be," which is a) sage advice b) perhaps a sign that the breakup wasn't really permanent in her mind.

As for Zayn, after announcing the news of the breakup on Twitter, he told Ryan Seacrest in an interview about his new single "Let Me" that he had hoped to love Gigi forever.

"I was in love, and I think that’s pretty evident," the singer said about what inspired the song. "I was aspiring to be in love with someone for the rest of my life and the rest of theirs, as we all do. Things change and we move forward in life. Times change, but that’s what I was thinking when I wrote it."

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik aren't doing much to hide the fact that they might be back together. The latest evidence: Photos from TMZ show ZiGi sharing a kiss on Sunday. Paps snapped the model and musician (with a shaved- and tatted-head) smooching on a street corner in New York City.

Hadid recently celebrated her 23rd birthday, and though Malik wasn't at her star-studded birthday bash, there was speculation that he sent her a present anyway. Two days after her birthday (which she now shares with Prince Louis Arthur Charles), she tweeted a picture of a cake with a horse on it, along with the caption: "he wins ;)," with a heart emoji. The "he" hasn't been confirmed, but honestly, who else could be deserving of Hadid's winky face and hearts?

Two weeks ago Malik was seen entering Hadid's apartment building in a red and black hoodies and sweatpants, and then leaving then next day in the same clothes.

The two have not confirmed whether or not they are back together, but if a picture is worth a thousand words, then this one says, "Hell yes they are!"

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik announced their breakup just over a month ago, much to the surprise of their fans (honestly, I'm still not over it). It seems Zayn isn't either because last week, he told Ryan Seacrest he was hoping to love Gigi forever.

And now, he might be getting a chance at redemption. On Wednesday, Zayn was spotted going in to Gigi's NYC apartment building wearing a red and black hoodie and black sweatpants. The Daily Mail first noticed that he was seen leaving her building the next morning in the exact same outfit. But what does this mean?! Are they getting back together? Is true love alive again? Maybe.

Here, I present to you, the possible evidence you need to make an informed decision on whether or not ZiGi is getting back together:

Zayn was photographed walking into Gigi's apartment building, obviously there to see her—unless he's already dating a new girl, and she happens to live in the same building as his ex, which would be supremely awkward. (Notice his glasses).

This mid-week adult sleepover clearly seems impromptu—a.k.a he was just visiting, but then something kept him there. Oh, and apparently Zayn liked one of Gigi's Instagram photos after he left her apartment Thursday, according to The Daily Mail. File under: More possible proof that this could actually be real.

I can't be sure of anything, but this is just the evidence (and small glimmer of hope) I have to give you. Vote in the poll above if you think this is a clear sign of a rekindled romance, or just a casual hang.

Usually, when celebrity couples split with statements about "amicable breakups" and "remaining friends," that's code for "we don't want to talk about it—leave us alone, please."

But it looks like Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik might actually still be friends post-breakup.

On Thursday, Zayn posted a picture of his awards shelf. "Looking at last years achievements blows me away," he wrote in the caption. Instead, she shared a series of adorable throwback photos of her and Gigi in an Instagram story, squeezing each other in tight bear hugs.

Her message: "Miss you heart and soul. Need your hugs all day."

Gigi has been staying relatively quiet post-breakup, except for the other day when she shared how much she was missing her sister who has been in Shanghai. It seems like Bella got the hint and reciprocated the love.

Since it was announced that Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid have broken up, the former One Direction singer has been undergoing some dramatic changes.

Malik has always been something of a style chameleon, so it's unsurprising that he's been acquiring some new tattoos, and changing his hair, since breaking up with his girlfriend of over two years. But the latest changes Malik has undergone are pretty surprising.

Firstly, he's dyed his hair blond. While this isn't the first time the singer has dabbled with bleach, it is the first time his hair has looked *this* blond. You know, the kind where you took the bleach off too early, because it started to burn your scalp and you freaked out, so now your hair's super brassy, but you make it look like that was intentional. Hey, we've all been there!

And that's not all. Malik also, evidently, bleached the rest of his hair, too, and is now sporting a bleach blond beard to accompany his new hairstyle. E! News spotted the singer "on the set of a video shoot in Miami, sporting bleached blond hair and a matching beard." And the photos of Malik's blond beard over at E! are pretty spectacular.

But wait, there's more. Malik also debuted a new tattoo on the back of his head, following on from that giant neck tattoo he was having done last week. And the new head tattoo is of a black rose (head over to Us Weekly for pictures of the newly blond Zayn modeling his head tattoo).

Basically, when life throws lemons at your face, go big or go home.

The world was extremely surprised when Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik called time on their relationship. And while Malik has posted a copious number of sad and brooding Instagrams since the split, Hadid has stayed relatively quiet, until now.

Hadid posted an emotional Instagram photo today, sending a message to a person that she's missing a lot. And while it isn't directed at Malik, it's clear that Hadid needs the support of her family now more than ever.

Hadid captioned the sweet photo, "miss u sister," which showed her riding in the back of a car alongside fellow model Bella, both wearing flawless outfits as per usual.

Zayn Malik has added two new pieces of art to the canvas that is his body.

While fans might have expected Zayn's first ink post-breakup to cover up the tattoo of Gigi's eyes on his chest, both of his new pieces of ink are on his neck (possibly because he's kind of running out of room for tattoos at this point).

Zayn showed off the completed version of the first piece, a large black rose on the back of his neck.

The second tattoo has yet to be revealed, but Zayn did share a photo of the artist working on the piece in a post captioned, "Neck yat."

Just because Zayn didn't cover his Gigi tattoo this time doesn't mean he plans to keep it forever. After his split from Perrie Edwards, Zayn covered the tattoo he got of her face he had on his arm.

It's possible Zayn will keep Gigi's eyes on his chest though. The two did end on good terms, if their Twitter statements are any indication.

Gigi's statement was similar. "Breakup statements often seem impersonal because there is really no way to put into words what two people experience over a few years … not only in the relationship, but in life in general. I’m forever grateful for the love, time, and life lessons that Z and I shared. I want nothing but the best for him and will continue to support him as a friend that I have immense respect and love for. As for the future, whatever’s meant to be will be. xG," she added.

Yesterday, Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik confirmed they were calling it quits, after more than two years of dating. Today, I'm still grieving, and I have so many questions. Why the sudden split? Were there hidden signs that the end was near?

To get to the bottom of this—and ease my own personal heartache—I talked to body language expert Patti Wood, who immediately knew that this photo, taken on January 18, would be the last one of Gigi and Zayn together as a couple.

The biggest (and a rather unusual) clue in their final pictured moment: their outfits. "Look at how much of their bodies are covered by very strong statement clothing that's black...I don't always talk about dress, but this is so strong," Wood says.

The fact that Gigi and Zayn are both wearing long, over-sized coats purposefully makes it harder for someone to read their body language. And notice how both coats are somewhat flashy—Zayn's wearing satin and Gigi's in shiny leather.

"To me, this could possibly mean that they want to be showy about their relationship, but protect the truth about their relationship," Wood explains. The truth, more than likely, being that it would all be over soon.

Wood says Gigi seems relaxed in this photo, but Zayn doesn't look like his normal self. "He's working to be okay with what's going on, but something is not quite right. I don't usually give abstract reads like this, but that's because I don't know why he appears out of it. I don't know if it's the relationship or not, but I'm guessing it is," Wood explains. Sadly, it was.

Looking back through photos of the couple, Wood notices one specific behavior of Zayn's that she thinks could have contributed to the breakup—he was always attempting to publicly display his affection for Gigi.

On March 20, 2016—almost exactly two years ago—Gigi posted her first Instagram photo with Zayn passionately kissing her cheek. Wood says there was a tenderness to the kiss, adding that Gigi's smile exudes bliss and happiness.

Here, she was in control of the PDA, and chose to share that private, intimate moment with the world. But, kissing in public could mean anyone had the chance to snap a photo and post it. "I'm looking at this, and they are so happy—and that's not in the other photos," Wood explains.

The photo below, taken in October 2016, is a good example of this unhappiness. Upon first glance, it's perceived to be a sweet exchange between the couple.

But the gesture was meant more as an on-camera moment (hence, the paparazzi in the background). Wood immediately notices that there is a tension between them because Gigi is "using her elbow up against his chest to keep him from getting closer."

And yes, Zayn is wearing armor that covers his arms and hands in this photo, making it trickier to understand his nonverbal cues. "Some people would say, 'Oh, that's just a costume.' Well, it's a choice of a costume. It's a choice of what he wants to represent himself doing. So it's a choice to look strong, but also protected."

Sure, all the kissing was cute in the beginning...

...but Wood believes Gigi preferred to put up a front in public, and Zayn always wanted to show that she was his to kiss.

"He's the one who has a stronger need that doesn't seem to be met in terms of their public personas," she says. So, did too little PDA lead to the demise of their relationship? Wood thinks it's a factor, but until I have further proof (i.e. a statement from Gigi or Zayn), the question will remain unanswered.

Gigi opened up about the difficulties of maintaining a high-profile relationship in February.

During an interview with Vogue, Gigi talked about the struggles that come with a high-profile relationship.

"If I post what I think would be normal to post with your boyfriend then the comments are: ‘It’s extra,’ ‘It’s forced,’ ‘It’s fake,’" she said. "And then if I don’t do enough then they’re like, ‘They’re not really together,’ so it’s kind of always a battle. But I do what feels true to me and I try to do it with integrity and all I can hope is that people would see it’s real."

What you probably didn't notice is that Zayn seems to be sporting a new chest tattoo which looks a lot like Gigi Hadid's eyes—complete with her signature arched brows.

Romantic, yes, though fans were quick to point out that Zayn also got a tattoo of his ex-girlfriend Perrie Edwards, which he ended up having to cover up.

As far as we know, Gigi does not have reciprocal Zayn eyeballs tattooed on herself at this time.

Taylor Swift's new music has just about broken the internet—and while we can all agree her songs are epic, they aren't without controversy. So naturally, Zayn Malik was asked about said controversy due to the fact that he's dating Swift squad member Gigi Hadid.

His thoughts? One part "she gets on with my girlfriend," one part "I did a song with her, it was fun," and one million parts "I'm Sweden, please leave me alone." (That last one isn't a direct quote, but it may as well be.)

"I rate her as an artist, I think she's cool, I think she's successful, and I think she deserves her success because she's worked hard," Malik recently said. "That's just how I look at it. I did a song with her, it was fun, she was professional. She gets on with my girlfriend, they're good friends."

He also explained that he doesn't pay much attention to drama anyway: "When it comes to anything that has to do with trivia about people's personal lives or things that's going on in their careers, I don't necessarily pay too much attention. I don't pay too much attention to what people even say about me. I just tend to take it for what it is when I meet them people in real life and have a conversation with them. If they're cool with me, then I base my relationship on that. [....] I don't have a bad word to say about her. She's cool."

In conclusion: Zayn Malik would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one he has never asked to be a part of.

Zayn Malik has been very open about his personal struggles with anxiety for a long time. In 2016, the singer cancelled a performance at the Capital Summertime Ball due to an anxiety attack due to an anxiety attack.

His girlfriend, Gigi Hadid, even took to Twitter at the time to support his decision to put his mental health first.

Now, in a new video interview with Vogue, Zayn opened up about his anxiety and why he's been out of the public eye recently.

"I'm not a very outgoing social person, like in terms of big groups of people," he explained. "When we're getting ready to start putting [my] second album out, people are going to start seeing me a bit more."

Even though he's not a natural extrovert, Zayn says he's excited to start promoting his next album.

"I'm excited to see what people will think. I think it's been a year since I properly showed my face and stuff."

Look up "power couple" in the dictionary, and you'll probably come across a photo of Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid. But the One Direction star isn't particularly comfortable with that label because—turns out—he and Hadid are pretty normal behind closed doors.

"I can understand how it can look, that you've got these two people in a 'power couple,'" Zayn said during a recent interview with the Evening Standard. "That's not something I want to be a part of. I'm with her because I like her and I hope she's with me because she likes me. When we come home, we don't really talk about that shit. We just spend time together as a normal couple, cook food, watch TV, have a laugh. I've got into a thing of cooking pies recently. I cook a mean chicken and sweetcorn pie, with Alfredo sauce. I make my own pastry, roll it out and everything."

That said, privacy is an issue in their relationship—especially in New York City (where Hadid lives). "In New York, you can sometimes get out in the early hours of the morning for a walk," he says. "But there's no underground parking here, no escape routes. So they're going to get pictures, they're going to find you. In LA, it's more catered to these things—you've got back entrances and that."

The newly minted solo artist also spoke at length about his Muslim upbringing, saying he was "raised in the Islamic faith, so it will always be with me," but that he doesn't "want to be defined by my religion or my cultural background." He even recounted an experience with racial profiling back in his 1D days:

"The first time I came to America, I had three security checks before I got on the plane; first they said that I'd been randomly selected, and then they said it was something to do with my name, it was flagging something on their system...Then when I landed, it was like a movie. They kept me there for three hours, questioning me about all kinds of crazy stuff. I was 17, my first time in America, jet-lagged off the plane, confused. The same thing happened the next time too."

The Zayn Malik and Taylor Swift collaboration "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" from Fifty Shades Darker is the gift that keeps on giving.

Even after the super sexy music video and the video of Taylor and bestie/Zayn's GF Gigi Hadid singing, dancing, and making semi-awkward hand motions to the song made their rounds, we can't get enough. And on one glorious day, both Zayn and Taylor released acoustic versions.

While Taylor's is only a tease, Zayn's is the entire song filmed in a moody, dimly lit recording studio.

Taylor's shorter video is actually a rehearsal for the DIRECTV Super Bowl event. Her version is equally moody, but thankfully better lit.

Former One Direction member Zayn Malik just debuted his new book Zayn, and in it he opens up about some pretty serious personal issues. Namely, his battle with an eating disorder, which he said was less about weight loss and more about control.

"When I look back at images of myself from around November 2014, before the final tour, I can see how ill I was. Something I've never talked about in public before, but which I have come to terms with since leaving the band, is that I was suffering from an eating disorder...It wasn't as though I had any concerns about my weight or anything like that, I'd just go for days—sometimes two or three days straight—without eating anything at all. It got quite serious, although at the time I didn't recognize it for what it was. I didn't feel like I had control over anything else in my life, but food was something I could control, so I did. I had lost so much weight I had become ill. The workload and the pace of life on the road put together with the pressures and strains of everything going on within the band had badly affected my eating habits."

The singer warned fans via Instagram that his book would tackle some intense subjects, and assured everyone that he's doing just fine now.

Zayn's girlfriend Gigi Hadid has yet to comment on his eating disorder, but she's lent her support to him in the past—particularly when he opened up about anxiety. At the time she said, "Your bravery in those times makes me proud."

Justin Bieber just threw some deuces up and quit Instagram following a highly tense exchange (in the comments section, of course) with Selena Gomez. The incident started when Justin posted a photo with his new girlfriend Sofia Richie, threatening to quit the social media app if fans didn't start being nicer to her:

We already had our doubts, and now Gigi Hadid has confirmed that she and Zayn Malik are still together, thank you very much. This weekend Elle.com sat down with the supermodel for an exclusive interview at Maybelline New York's Beauty Bash at L.A.'s Line Hotel where the model made a point to mention her boyfriend.

Though Hadid didn't address the breakup rumors directly, the 21-year-old went out of her way to mention Malik while describing her perfect night in: "Cook. Paint. Play with my dog. Hang out with my boyfriend. Watch movies. Just chill." 

Clever, Gigi, clever! Now all you Gigi and Zayn stans can go dry your eyes, at least one power couple is still intact.

It hasn't been that long since G.I. Joe was still a thing. Nonetheless, the days of Gigi Hadid and Joe Jonas as a couple seem like a distant memory...

Just two weeks after their split last November, things were already blossoming between the model and her new musician beau, Zayn Malik—and the buzz around the pair has only increased in the months since.

Hadid and Malik haven't held back on the PDA either. Whether they're getting hot and heavy in a music video, house-hunting together, frolicking through the streets of Naples for a romantic photo shoot or gushing about how wonderful it is working together, the two (have we landed on a combined name for them yet?) are clearly completely smitten with each other, and not a bit shy about showing it. All the while, Jonas has remained decidedly silent on the whole situation—until now.

In an interview with the Daily Mirror, Jonas opened up about his ex-girlfriend and her relationship with Malik, and we can't help but feel a little sad for him.

"I think it's interesting that she moved on so quickly," Jonas said. "I mean it was definitely very quick."

So what does the singer think about all those comparisons between him and Malik? Like their music careers, and shared sense of style, and that time they both dyed their hair pink within a week of each other… (Let's face it: Gigi definitely has a type.)

"It's comical that I'm compared to him," Jonas scoffed. "That dude and I have been compared for years, I think it's just funny. To be honest I haven't really listened to his music, but he can sing well."

If that's not a backhanded compliment, I don't know what is. It's probably a safe guess to say Joe won't be making an appearance at Gigi's 21st birthday festivities this weekend.
